The war between Poseidon Nero and Demon King have reached it's highest point. The battles that truly matter have already begun. So far, Poseidon Nero took the lead with him bringing down Justice, but it's now Piratetress' turn. She's faced once again with her own mother on opposing sides. The duel only started, but Acnoella took an early lead. She managed to summon Wood Dragon Aldoron with it having 2800atk points and brought out a wood dragon token with it having 800atk points. What's more is that she has her favorite spell, Mobius System, activated with Dragon's Rage, a trap that will allow her dragons to inflict piercing damage. As Kyubi watches to see what Piratetress can do, she wonders how she's going to defeat her own mother this time.
'It's still hard for me to believe that Piratetress and Acnoella are mother and daughter.' Kyubi thought. 'Now, they're opposing sides. What could have happened between these two that they find themselves in this of circumstances.'
"Well? Are you going to make a move?" Acnoella taunted.
"Does this answer your question? I summon my Ice Space Pirate to the field!" Piratetress said. She summoned out her pirate to the field with it having 1500atk points. "When Ice Space Pirate is summoned to the field, I'm also allowed to summon his brother to the field. Rise, Flame Space Pirate!" She summoned her other pirate to the field with him having the same number of attack points. "Next, I activate my Space Pirate Treasure spell! This spell allows me to summon a third Space Pirate to the field! I summon Space Pirate Navigator to the field!" Piratetress brought out her navigator to the field with her female pirate having 1000atk points. "And her summoning activate her special ability! You have to send the top card of your deck to the graveyard."
"For your sake, you better hope this was a card I needed." Acnoella said as she took a card from her deck and discarded it. "Let me see... You have three monsters on the field. This would normally be the part where you summon a very powerful monster, but what monster do you have that could take down Aldoron since he is currently the only monster you can attack with."
"Mock me all you want, but I'll be the one with the last laugh." Piratetress claimed. "I'll place one card facedown to end my turn." That wasn't at all what Kyubi and Acnoella expected.
"What?! What are you doing Piratetress?! You've left yourself completely open to attack!" Kyubi said.
"She's right. If I summon another monster next to Aldoron's link, as well as have another token grow, my dragon will have a total of 4400atk points." Acnoella said. Piratetress just remained silent. 'Does she think I'm a novice duelist? That face-down is obviously a trap. She wants me to attack. She wouldn't leave herself open like that. Still, I'll bite if it means I can inflict some great damage.' "My turn!" She drew her next card and seemed rather pleased with what she got. "First, I'll activate Aldoron's special ability! Watch as another token grows like a tree on my field!" She had another token appear on the field with 800atk points. "With another monster next to Aldoron's link, he gains another 800atk points!" Aldoron was fed more power with it having 3600atk points. "Let's just see what it is you're hiding. Aldoron, destroy her Space Pirate Navigator! Attack with Splintered Thorns!" Aldoron attacked as it's mechanical body opened up and unleashed a series of wooden splinters. They all rained down right on Space Pirate Navigator. She ended up being destroyed and Piratetress' life points dropped down all the way to 1400.
"Piratetress!" Kyubi called.
"That was surprisingly easy." Acnoella claimed.
"You might want to rethink that!" Piratetress called. "I activate my trap: Retribution for the Fallen! I can only activate this trap when you destroy one of my monsters! With this, Retribution of the Fallen destroys the monster that just destroyed mine!"
"It does what?!" Acnoella said. That's what Piratetress was going for. He trap fired a powerful beam that pierced right through Acnoella's giant dragon and completely destroyed it.
"I also regain the life points I lost." Piratetress said as her life points returned to normal. "Space Pirate Navigator has another ability when she's destroyed. I can now add another Space Pirate to my hand. The one I select is Space Pirate Doctor." She said as she took her card and added it to her hand.
'I knew she wouldn't leave herself completely vulnerable.' Kyubi thought. 'Still, something seems different. She's playing the same, but she's not acting the same. What's going on with her?'
"I knew you had something in store for me, but it's a good thing I had something ready myself." Acnoella said. "I activate Wood Dragon's Regrowth! Since you just destroyed an earth attribute dragon, either by battle or by an effect, this spell allows me to resummon it to the field." Aldoron resurrected on the field with it now having 2000atk points.
"But you have to summon it in your main monster zone. Aldoron can't gain any power." Piratetress said.
"True, but I am now I have him right where I want him. I activate Link Syphoning!" Acnoella said. "This is quite the special spell! I can only activate this spell when I have a link monster who has a link arrow pointing to my spell and trap zone, I get to draw one card for each link arrow pointing to one of those spaces! Since Aldoron is pointing to three, I can draw three cards!" She drew three cards now. "This will come in handy. For now, I'm just going to place one card facedown and that will end my turn."
"My turn!" Piratetress said. She drew her next card and was now getting serious. "I'll start by overlaying Ice Pirate and my Flame Pirate!" She opened the overlay network and had both of her monsters become a part of it. "Strike with the intensity of fire and pummel those who dare challenge the crew! I xyz summon Space Pirate Fighter!" She summoned out her fighter as he emerged with 2600atk points. "Next, I'm summoning my Space Pirate Doctor to the field!" She summoned out her doctor with it having 800atk points. "When my Space Pirate Doctor is summoned, I'm free to take any Space Pirate in my graveyard and add it to my hand. The one I'm taking back is my Space Pirate Navigator." She claimed as she retrieved her card. "Next, I play a second Space Pirate Treasure so that I can summon her to the field!" She resummoned her navigator to the field. "That means you also have to send one card in your deck to the graveyard."
"Very well." Acnoella said as she had no problem doing that.
"I now activate my fighter's special ability!" Piratetress called. "By simply using one overlay unit, one Space Pirate gives an extra 200atk points for every Space Pirate on the field! I'll give them to the good doctor!" Her doctor gained itself power and it now had 1400atk points. "Since Aldoron is no longer linked to your tokens, I'm free to attack them! Space Pirate Doctor and Space Pirate Navigator attack her two tokens!" Both of her monsters attacked. First, her navigator attacked with a bolt of lightning on one token with Acnoella's life points dropping to 3800. Then, her doctor had a sudden muscle growth that it used to crush the other token and caused Acnoella's life points to drop down to 3200. "And now for Aldoron." Piratetress seems to be gaining control over this duel, but Kyubi didn't seemed pleased that she was winning. "Something wrong, Kyubi? I was expecting cheers or an encouragement."
"Well... It's good that you are winning, but I have mixed emotions about this." Kyubi said. "Despite her being our enemy, she is still your mother."
"She may be our mother, but that does not matter. She is an enemy that must be stopped." Piratetress claimed. "That's all there is to it."
"Is it? I've watched your duel and noticed something about you. You don't seem to be acting like yourself." Kyubi said with her voicing her concern. "Is there something troubling you?"
"I think I might know what it is." Acnoella said. She could read her own daughter so well. "It has something to do with Justice, doesn't it? You two worked together in the past. Could it be you harbored some feelings towards him? It must have been so hard seeing him break apart into data bits." Piratetress didn't say anything, but the painful expression on her face said it was true. "You two must have gotten so close only for you to betray him."
"Because of you!" Piratetress shouted.
"Her?" Kyubi questioned as she thought that was odd. "I don't understand. You're mother and daughter. What happened between the two of you to end up like this?"
"It's rather simple. My mother joined forces with Poseidon Nero to bring about humanity in the virtual world because that's been a passion of hers." Piratetress said. "I was never aware of it at the time, but I found out what a hacker and cyber criminal my own mother is. You've been wanting to bring us into the virtual world because you believe human beings are weak and fragile creatures. You have no value for life."
"That's a rather harsh thing to say to your own mother, even if that is all true." Acnoella said as she didn't appear to have a problem admitting it. "With the virtual world, our limitations don't exist in the virtual world. We won't have to age, go wherever we like, and can create whatever you like. The real world is slowly perishing to begin with. As for my alliance with Poseidon Nero, it just simply aligns with my own goals. That's why we work together. Of course, I'm more interested in my own goals."
"How could you think so lowly of the real world when you have a daughter? You wouldn't be able to have children in a virtual world." Kyubi said.
"But we would find a way in time. Poseidon Nero, all he really wants is to build an empire here in the virtual world." Acnoella said. "One that he will expand and rule over. That's why he's doing all of this. You may not agree with what I'm doing, but I actually hate being human."
"Hate being human?!" Kyubi said.
"And having a daughter doesn't change that." Acnoella said. "If you've been trying to find me for all this time to reason with your mother, it would be a wasted effort."
"But that's not why. I wanted the pleasure of being the one that stopped you." Piratetress admitted. "It's true that I worked with Justice in the past, and maybe I have done things he didn't agree with, but you were the motivation. I knew that in order to stop my own criminal mother and all the awful actions she committed, I would have to bend a few rules. Now I have the chance, and I won't waste it! Space Pirate Fighter, destroy Aldoron!" Her fighter leaped up at Aldoron and smashed his leg against the beast. It packed all the force needed to have the giant beast shatter with Acnoella's life points dropping down to 2600.
"You fool! You did exactly what I wanted you to do!" Acnoella called. That can't be good. "I activate my trap: Dragon Linked! Since you just destroyed a dragon-type link monster, I'm now free to summon another one to the field as long as it's link arrows equal the number of dragons that were destroyed this turn! That means I can now summon another link three dragon!"
"Oh no!" Piratetress claimed.
"And I know just the one to go with! I summon Earth Dragon Dogramag!" Acnoella called as she opened the circuit once again with the arrows of the sides and the bottom arrow were authorized. Her new dragon was mechanical, but it's body resembled stone with it having 2400atk points.
"Oh no! Not that!" Piratetress said as she knew she was in real trouble.
"You know what this one seems to do! In that case, let's get this over with!" Acnoella called. "My turn!" She drew her card with Piratetress starting to get worried. "I activate Dogramag's special ability! When he has no monsters next to his link, I can destroy all the monsters on your field! Destroy everything with Stone Destruction!" Her dragon's power caused the whole ground to shake and caused a series of stones to be shot right at Piratetress' field. Each one destroyed every monster on her field and left Piratetress completely defenseless. "Your wide open now, my daughter! Dogramag, attack her directly! Stone Dragon Crush!" Her dragon reached out towards Piratetress with the force of earth right with her and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
"Piratetress!" Kyubi called. The claw crushed down on her. The ground she was even standing on broke apart. Piratetress screamed in pain with her life points dropping down to 1600. "Piratetress!" Kyubi hurried over to where Piratetress was crushed, but she didn't see a sign of her anywhere. "Piratetress! Where are you?!" She looked around for any sign of her, but there wasn't one. It was as if she completely vanished. "She's gone!" How can that be? She still had life points remaining. Where could she have disappeared to if the duel is still going on? Kyubi was wondering all of that, but her thoughts were cut when she could hear Acnoella laughing.
"How about that?! I was planning to get rid of her, but I didn't need to finish this duel to do that." Acnoella said. "I doubt she logged out. She wouldn't have, but at least now she's out of my way."
"What's wrong with you?!" Kyubi shouted. "She was your own daughter, but you're actually finding pleasure in the fact that she could be gone?!"
"All she did was get in my way! Nothing will stop me from obtaining my goals!" Acnoella said. "Even if it is my own daughter, nothing will stop me from becoming immortal and completely revolutionizing the human race!" Acnoella has completely lost her mind. She's so obsessed with her own twisted goals to virtualize the human race into immortality that she would forsake her own daughter. Kyubi wasn't going to put up with it.
"Not if I stop you!" Kyubi said. "Your duel with Piratetress isn't finished just yet. She still had 1600LP, so this duel isn't finished. I'll just simply take her place."
"What? You want to finish this for her?" Acnoella questioned.
"That's right. My friends and I came here to stop you. That's what I'm going to do." Kyubi claimed. She'll finish what Piratetress started and bring this mad woman's goals to an end.
