A/N Kenn, Cordelia's visions will not be going active in this story, but she will continue to have 'feelings'. However, the ability will still play a significant role, but that's later. Although, it has been foreshadowed. Aren't I just a rascal of an author to hint like that? 😁

"You believe the timeline's been changed to remove a Slayer?" Rupert Giles found that thought extraordinary. "What evil do you believe is responsible?"
"Judging by the memories Xander was able to access, it wasn't evil that eliminated her. She became involved, apparently willingly, with a vampire. Even going so far as to let him go and stop others, including yourself, from destroying him." Diana replied.
That statement left Rupert Giles floundering badly as he couldn't understand why a Slayer would choose to behave in such a way. "Why did I try to destroy him? Was I hunter in this other timeline? Seems unlikely, if my past has remained unchanged."
"From what Xander said, Angelus, the vampire in question, killed someone named Ms. Calendar and you seemed to have attempted to avenge her."
"Ms. Calendar? The Computer Teacher? I met her when she was scanning Library books into the computer. She found my discomfort with that infernal machine hilarious."
"So she's here too. I need to speak to her, she may have information that may help shine a light on this situation."
"That would imply she knows the supernatural even exists, I find that unlikely." Rupert Giles informed her.
"Nonetheless, I must determine that for myself." Diana answered firmly. "Where have you gotten on your research?"
"I've barely began." He replied. "But Sunnydale does seem to have a disportionate number of teenagers and children appearing in the obituary column of the local paper."
"A vampire's preferred prey." Diana observed. "I need numbers, Mr. Giles. When did the numbers begin to spike, things like that. It will help us determine just when the Hellmouth went active. Note any unusual stories that could be an attempt to explain vampire attacks. The attack on the Bronze was labeled a gang attack by the police, for instance, but Xander and Jesse insist Sunnydale doesn't have gangs and they didn't report it as a gang attack, the police seemed to have assumed it was."
"I will do so." He sighed, he'd thought this was going to be a quiet, boring assignment, as it was meant to be. It was turning out to be quite a bit more.
"Where can I find Ms. Calendar?"
"Her classroom is down the hall." He answered. "Fourth classroom on the right. She's a young woman in her mid thirties. Dark hair, quite lovely actually."
"Thank you." Now somewhat amused, Rupert Giles had apparently noticed her in this timeline as well.
Diana knew there was more to the teacher named Jenny Calendar the moment she met her. She recognized some of the supplies on her desk as the tools of a technopagan. A Magic user who incorporated technology into their Magic use. Very unexpected, running into another Magic user while investigating the timeline change. One who was killed by a vampire in the other timeline. Was there more to her death in that timeline? Could she have been using her knowledge and skills to fight the vampire in question and that's why she was killed?
"I'm going to be forthright with you, Ms. Calendar." Diana told her. "Because I think you'll understand what I'm about to say. Magic is real."
Jenny Calendar eyes narrowed slightly at the middle aged woman in front of her. "Is there a reason you're saying that to me? Besides the fact that you recognize the fact that I'm a Magic user?" Jenny indicated the tools on her desk.
"I'm investigating what appears to be a change to the timeline and your name came up. A young man who I believe has a psychic ability and has been able to access some memories from the other timeline. You were present in that timeline."
"How present?"
"This will be difficult to hear, but bear in mind, that's not this timeline." Diana said softly.
Jenny winched, understanding what the other woman was delicately trying to say. "Did I die?"
"You believe me?"
"I come from a long line of Magic users. I know there's far more to the world than most people are aware of. Did I die?"
"Yes. If you're aware of Magic, perhaps you were using Magic to fight. Xander appears to have died in the other timeline as well, avenging the girl he loved after a vampire killed her."
"A vampire?!" Jenny exclaimed, alarmed. "This is very important, please tell me, which vampire?!"
"Angelus, does that name mean something to you?" Diana asked curiously, noting the flinch Jenny Calendar couldn't hide.
"He's the reason I'm in Sunnydale in the first place. I am of the Kalderash People. A century ago, my people cursed him. I was the latest member assigned to watch him and make sure the curse was holding. If I died in the other timeline by his hand, than the curse broke."
"Where is he now?"
"Destroyed sometime after he arrived in Sunnydale, but before I did."
"You're certain?"
"In order to watch him without him being aware of it, we have to be able to find him. Yes, I'm certain he was destroyed, the locator spell was specific to him."
"When was he destroyed? The date?"
Jenny's answer surprised Diana into blurting out, "While Miss Young was in Sunnydale, that's too much to be a coincidence."
"Miss Young?"
"Are you familiar with the Slayer?"
"Yes, mystical warrior, my Tribe produced a few. You believe she discovered him and destroyed him?"
"She was only in town for a couple of days, right at the time he was destroyed and she died stopping a vampire attack at the Bronze. I believe it's the best explanation. Why would your people curse him, instead of destroying him?"
"My uncle would say vengeance is eternal because our pain is eternal. He killed the favorite daughter of our Tribe, that warrants extreme measures as far as my People are concerned."
