Everyone got stuffed and had a wonderful time with their friends and family. It was nice to see the town booming. Lucas and Todd even met. It was very successful and everyone went home very full and happy, Robert and Holly went home with Seana and Bailey Lou with them. The two didn't want to be separated and Robert and Holly definitely wanted more time with their granddaughter.
The two of them sat on the couch with Robert as he told them stories. Both of them so mesmerized by what he was saying.
Holly couldn't help but smile as she sat down. "You know these two might be your best audience."
"Right after you of course." Robert winked at Holly. "I just wanted to remind the girls that Santa will be making his stops again soon. Got to be on their best behavior."
"I am!" Seana said as she yawned.
"I think someone is a little sleepy. What about you Bailey?" Holly asked Bailey who moved over onto her lap and hugged her. "I will take that as a yes. You know Aunt Jayne said if you two are good you could sleep in her room tonight."
"I'm going to go get the gates out to keep them safe." Robert whispered as he put Seana over with Holly.
Holly gave Robert a kiss then turned her attention back to the girls. "Would you two like a snack before bed?"
Seana nodded. "Cookies!"
Bailey Lou's face lit up.
"How does one each sound?" Holly asked as she stood up and took both of the girls' hands.
"Okay, Grandma." Seana happily walked with Holly and Bailey to the kitchen.
Holly got two cookies out and cups of milk, she had the girls go to the table and sat with them. "Did you two have fun today?" She asked.
"Yes!" Both girls said.
"I just wish Donna could have come with us." Seana frowned.
"I know darling but her sister wanted to spend some time with her. You two will have a sleepover soon." Holly told Seana, trying to reassure her.
Robert came back down. "It's all set. I even turned on a sound machine to help the girls sleep."
"Such a good grandpa." Holly stood up and gave him a kiss.
"Deserving of a cookie I would say. You want one?" Robert asked Holly.
Holly shook her head. "No thanks, I'm going to go get these two ready for bed. Meet us up there?"
"Count on it." Robert gave Holly a hug then gave both of the girls a hug, just incase they fell asleep before he got up there.
Holly took the girls upstairs and helped them get ready for bed, tucking them both into Jayne's bed. "I bet you two are ready to sleep."
Seana looked over at Bailey who was nodding off. "She is."
"I bet you could be too. Just lay down and close your eyes." Holly told her granddaughter.
"Can you hold me, Grandma?" Seana asked Holly.
She nodded. "Of course. I always sleep better when I feel safe in someone's arms too." Holly took her granddaughter into her arms as Robert walked into the room.
Robert sat at the end of the bed. He was so thankful that this was his life now, a few years ago it was a mess but now it was on track and just getting better.
