The sun shone brightly through the windows of the Gryffindor common room, casting warm golden light across the stone walls. It was one of those rare, perfect days at Hogwarts—when the hustle of schoolwork and exams seemed to fade into the background, replaced by the kind of carefree moments Skye cherished.

After weeks of stress over N.E.W.T.s and life after graduation, Skye was ready for a break. And today, she had a plan to spend it the best way possible: with her best friends.

Hermione Granger, the brightest witch of their age, was buried in a book as usual. But Ginny Weasley, always the energetic one, was trying her best to drag Hermione outside.

"Come on, Hermione," Ginny coaxed, tugging at Hermione's sleeve. "We've been stuck inside for hours. The sun's out, and we need some fresh air before we all turn into permanent fixtures in the library."

Skye smiled as she watched the scene unfold. She had grown incredibly close to both Hermione and Ginny over the past few years. The trio had faced countless challenges together, from dark forces to enchanted creatures, and each of them had grown stronger because of it. But it wasn't all danger and excitement; it was also moments like these—when they could just enjoy being together—that made Hogwarts feel like home.

"I'll join you, Ginny," Skye said, standing up from her spot by the window. "Maybe a little walk will clear my head."

Hermione sighed but finally relented, closing her book with a reluctant snap. "Fine, fine. I suppose I could use a break from all these textbooks. But only for a little while!"

The three girls made their way down the tower stairs, their laughter echoing through the corridors. Skye felt lighter just being with them, the weight of the coming exams and future plans slipping away for the moment. They walked out into the courtyard, where the cool breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees.

Ginny, ever the one to embrace the outdoors, immediately found a patch of grass and flopped down onto it. "This is the life," she said, stretching out on her back and looking up at the sky. "We should do this more often—enjoy the good weather while we can."

"I agree," Skye said, sitting cross-legged next to her. "This year's been so full of studying and worrying about the future. It's nice to have a little peace before everything changes."

Hermione joined them, but she was still fidgeting with the edge of her robe, clearly having a hard time completely disconnecting from her studies. "You know," she began thoughtfully, "I've been reading a lot about the magical creatures we're likely to encounter during our careers. Did you know that—"

Ginny rolled her eyes dramatically. "Here we go again. You just can't help yourself, can you, Hermione?"

Hermione smirked. "Well, you can't blame me for trying to prepare for life after Hogwarts! It's not like we'll be surrounded by nothing but smooth sailing. There's always something unpredictable out there."

Skye chuckled. "She's right, though. The world's full of surprises. But I think we've learned to handle the unexpected by now."

The trio sat in comfortable silence for a while, watching as a couple of owls flew overhead, their wings slicing through the warm afternoon air. It was one of those rare moments of tranquility that made Skye feel at peace with the world, even as the end of their school years loomed ever closer.

Finally, Ginny propped herself up on her elbows and looked at Skye. "So, what's next for you after graduation, Skye? Any big plans?"

Skye hesitated, a little nervous about revealing her thoughts. She had always kept her future plans close to her chest, unsure of what to do next. But now, with her friends asking, she figured it was time to share.

"I've been thinking a lot about working with magical creatures," Skye admitted, brushing a strand of blonde hair out of her face. "I've always loved studying them, and I feel like I could do something meaningful in that field. Maybe I'll even visit some of the more exotic places... maybe the Forbidden Forest again, or even travel to other countries to study their creatures."

"That sounds amazing!" Hermione said, her eyes lighting up. "You've always had such a natural gift with magical creatures, Skye. I think it's perfect for you."

"I agree," Ginny chimed in, grinning. "I can totally see you being like... a magical creature expert. Traveling the world, helping magical beasts and all that."

Skye smiled at the encouragement, feeling a little more certain of her path. It wasn't a perfect plan, and it was still filled with uncertainty, but it was a start.

"And what about you, Ginny?" Skye asked. "I know you've always had your heart set on being a professional Quidditch player. How's that going?"

Ginny's face brightened at the mention of Quidditch. "I'm hoping to join a team after graduation. I've been training for years, and I'm determined to make it. Quidditch is in my blood, after all."

"And you, Hermione?" Skye asked, turning to the girl who seemed to always have a plan. "What's next for you? You're probably going to be a Ministry official, right?"

Hermione flushed, slightly embarrassed. "Well, I'm thinking about it. But I'm also considering continuing my studies. There's still so much more to learn about magic, and I don't know if I'm ready to stop just yet."

The three girls shared a quiet laugh, knowing that whatever the future held, they would face it together. The uncertainty of life after Hogwarts was daunting, but for the first time in a while, Skye felt ready for whatever came next.

After all, they had already conquered so much together. What was the world beyond Hogwarts but another adventure waiting to happen?
