Chapter 1

.

Izuku had a dream.

A dream to be a hero— just like All Might; saving people with a smile on the face— regardless of the situation.

But there was a fact.

People were not made equal.

Izuku knows what it means to be weak. As the boy was quirkless for almost his entire life. By the age of five, six or seven in some rare cases, people discover what their quirk is. However, Izuku was an exception as he never developed one. When his mother took him to the doctor at the age of five, after some tests, the doctor told them that he was born quirkless. He was one of those twenty percent people— who were quirkless. He was mentally broken after that.

Most of his friends and classmates made fun of him. Even his 'best friend'— Kaachan also known as Bakugou Katsuki, bullied him— both physically and mentally. He was called 'Deku'— useless.

However— he never gave up on his dream to be a hero.

One day, he met All Might, who told him that he could be a hero. All Might give his power to Izuku.

With the help of his power, Izuku joined the UA High School.

He made some friends. Iida. Uraraka. Todoroki. Asui. Kaminari and so on.

He participated in the sports festival.

He worked with Gran Torino.

Sir Nighteye.

Yet, after all these accomplishments he could not save a little girl.

Eri…

The moment he thought that he had died was the moment he expected to wake up in the afterlife.

Perhaps hell awaited him for his failure?

No.

It wasn't in hell he woke up in but in a soft bed.

It was a bed he was too familiar with.

So when his mother woke him up in the middle of him having a dream of being a hero, he expected the worst.

She didn't do what he expected her to do. Because she asked a simple question.

"Who are you?"

Izuku wakes up with a jolt. He looks at his mom, who is looking at him with awe.

"What's wrong?" He asks. Though, his voice sounded funny. Sore throat perhaps? Or was it because of the intense fight?

Why was his mom so much taller than him? How long was he out for?

"What happened to Sir Nighteye?" He finally said. "What happened to others?"

She doesn't reply.

"Who are you?" He hears his mother say. He stares at her.

Is this a dream world where he is going to be punished now? Like this?

"I-I am, mom," Why can't she recognise him? Is he so injured that his face is beyond her?

"Stop lying," Inko almost yells. "you don't have to save him." grapes his hand and gently squeezes it before saying, "Did he hurt you?"

Who? Overhaul?

"I am fine. I just need to find Eri… can you tell me where she is?"

He tries to get up but she hardly squeezes his hand before giving him a hard look. "Where is he?"

He curls an eyebrow before asking, "Who? Chisaki?"

Inko flinches. "There were more…" She muttered to herself. "Izuku. Where is he?"

Izuku frowns deeply. "I am sitting right in front of you, you know."

"I TOLD YOU TO STOP LYING, TELL ME WHERE HE IS. YOU DON'T NEED TO BE AFRAID OF HIM ANYMORE!" Inko yells while Izuku was desperately trying to get away but Inko's firm grip prevented that.

"Mom! I am here right in front of you. Why are you doing this?!"

Inko's eyes widened as her grip loosened. She touches his hair, which is noticeably longer than the last time he saw it. Again, how long was he out for? "Prove it." Inko finally says. "Tell me something only Izuku would know."

"Umm… your email account password is… 'I am very good, thank you so much bye-bye'?"

Inko flushed for a moment before saying, "Not enough."

Izuku sighes. "You like to watch hen…"

"Wait…" Inko was red as a tomato now. "How do you know these? How does my son knows these?"

"Really mom," Izuku groans. "You never delete your browser history."

Inko flushes once more before her eyes widened. "I-izuku?!"

"Yes!"

"How did this happen?" His mother asks.

"What happened?" Izuku was getting impatient.

His mother opened her mouth to say something before stop and said, "Maybe you should see it for yourself."

Inko stands and walks away towards his mirror before grabbing it with both her hands and bringing it to his bed.

"What—" Izuku halts mid sentence as sees his reflection in the mirror. "Eri!" He then realises that the girl in the mirror was mimicking his actions and facial expressions. "I am Eri?!"

Inko dumbly nods before looking at Izuku. Eri, huh?

Completely ignoring the fact that is mother was standing right in front of him, Izuku peeks inside his trousers and shouts, "It's gone!"

Inko bites her lips.

What she saw earlier had left her breathless with shock and disbelief. There, sitting on Izuku's bed, was a little girl dressed in his oversized clothes, her face buried in her hands. Inko's thoughts spiralled into a whirlwind of panic and fear. Had her son fallen so low? Had he gotten mixed up in something dangerous or unsavoury? But thank god, it wasn't anything like that…

"How did I…" Izuku's eyes widened once more. "Overhaul,'s quirk disrupted the flow of power coursing through me by Eri… One For All tried to prevent me from dying… so accidently, it sent me back in time... but due to Eri being almost physically attached to me the whole thing places my soul inside her body…"

"That's definitely my son." Inko says with a sigh.

It seems like Izuku might be pretty worked up about something related to time travel. Maybe he's frustrated or confused about it. Inko might be a bit concerned about seeing him like that.

Why was he a little girl again?

Maybe he finally unlocked his quirk?

But why is he…

A girl... five years old at most. She has dark-green hair and dull green eyes. She had a small bump on the left side of her forehead, a horn? That's odd, but nothing compared to the… metamorphosis

"I-I'm really back in time!" Izuku shouts and jumps at his mother with excitement, she falls on her butt as his grip around her tightening. "Now I can save everyone!"

In an instant, Inko felt a strange sensation wash over her, as if time itself had taken a step back. Suddenly, her eyes fell on the mirror, staring in disbelief at her reflection. Her wrinkles had vanished, her figure had slimmed, and her clothes hung loosely on her rejuvenated frame. She was… ten years younger, as if plucked from the past and dropped into the present. Izuku grasprd as her gawked at her transformed mother, her mind racing to comprehend the impossible.

Izuku, realizing the unintended consequence of her quirk, gasped in horror, her tiny hands trembling with guilt.

"I have her quirk too…"

Inko's initial shock gave way to a mix of emotions. While she marveled at her newfound youthfulness, she also grappled with the uncertainty of this sudden change. How would she explain this to everyone? What would they think?

"Mom… you look like you 22 or so…"

"Izuku…" Inko was speechless. "What am I… are we supposed to do?"

"I think… I need to make a phone call." Izuku rushed towards her cabinet and grabes her phone with her tiny hands. She dials a very familiar number.

"Who are you calling, dear?"

"All Might," she replied swiftly.
