Tumblr musings: prompt was the quote below, I have a Kate POV and a Castle POV.

Enjoy... : )

She was not the girl of my dreams, but the girl of every waking moment of every single day.

Obsession

She was obsessed, right? That's what this was, an unreasonable preoccupation that she just couldn't resist. A spell she couldn't break. Obsession.

He had consumed her entirely, her every waking moment, her every conscious thought. Since the moment he opened that door, let her into his world, made her his, her mind was occupied by thoughts of him.

That woodsy, masculine scent she breathed in as he held her. Dizzying and intoxicating, like she had never known. The way the warmth of his body enveloped her in a soothing, loving hug. The strength and security of his arms around her waist, his chest pressed to her back, and the gentle puffs of his breath against her neck as he slept.

The way his lips tasted: bittersweet like the coffee he made them, sharp like the wine they shared, but always with a lingering softness, a uniqueness that was just him.

The way he spoke his whispered 'I love you's as he drifted off to sleep. The breathless moan of her name as she kissed his neck and tangled her fingers through his hair, that had her shivering inside.

The way her heart skipped a beat when his steely blue eyes seared through her, peering deep into her soul.

Ever since that first night, she couldn't sleep without him by her side, couldn't sleep unless her body was intertwined with his. Without him, her mind was a jungle that she feared she may never escape.

She was in over her head, drowning at sea, and no one could rescue her now. She was too far gone.

She was hopelessly in love. Forever, irrevocably in love.

And obsessed.

Musing...

He had grown accustomed to the finer things in life: money, recognition, exorbitance of every kind.

He didn't even realise his life was missing something, not until he met her.

All at once, she took him over, consuming him. He had never felt such an intense desire to just be...

Be near her, be with her, be for her.

Their chemistry was instantaneous, palpable. It was magic.

Her beauty was unmatched, but her mind... her mind challenged his, in all the right ways. What he called fate, she called circumstance. It was infuriating, and he loved every second of it.

He loved that they sparked, that they ignited some slow-burning fuse long before there was even a threat of explosion. Because if they had had warning, if they had been given the chance to run and hide, they wouldn't be what they were today.

They wouldn't be two connecting pieces of a puzzle, twin flames burning as one.

They wouldn't be them...
