Meanwhile, they privately struggle with the fear that their new marriage will splinter beneath the growing animosity between their peoples.

Though powerful beings, maiar can also be susceptible to mortal injuries. Sauron realizes this after he is injured by a blade perfected to take down another ainu, leaving him to fight mortality. Thuringwethil steps in to help her boss recover, and in turn, the two learn more about each other. Sauron then realizes that his messenger might mean more to him than he thought.

Maedhros sends Amrod and Amras to Doriath: their task is to try and convince Thingol to hand over the Silmaril willingly and join his Union to defend Morgoth. Against all hope and expectation, the twins actually try. Oneshot; set during the six month timejump between TSG Chapter 30 (The Lord of the Gap) and Chapter 31 (The Second Betrayal).

Le tout jeune royaume du Lindon est encore en train de se stabiliser sous la gouverne de Gil-galad, Elros vient de fonder celui de Númenor, et Elrond aimerait juste qu'on l'oublie et qu'on le laisse étudier en paix.
