WARRIORS

Zuko sat in a cross legged position, a few lit candles in front of him. The flames increased and decreased as he inhaled and exhaled. Soon, his door opened to reveal Iroh.

"The only reason you should be interrupting me is if you have news about the Avatar or the traitor" Zuko said, still looking forward.

"Well there is news but you might not like it" Iroh said. "Don't get too upset"

"Uncle, you taught me that keeping a level head is a sign of a great leader" Zuko reminded. "Now, whatever you have to say, I'm sure I can take it"

"Okay..." Iroh said. "We have no idea where they are"

"What?!" Zuko flared up.. quite literally as the flames on the candles in front of him ignited even further.

"You really should open a window in here" Iroh started to fan himself.

"Give me the map!" Zuko snatched it from his uncle.

"There have been multiple sightings of them both but they're impossible to track down" Iroh explained.

"How am I gonna find them, uncle?" Zuko asked, studying the map. "The Avatar is clearly a master of evasive maneuvering"

"You have no idea where you're going, do you?" Sokka asked, looking at the map.

"Well I know it's near water" Aang shrugged.

"I guess we're getting close then" Sarcasm dripped from Sokka's tone.

"Will you people pipe down?" Shinra quietly complained. He sat on the saddle in a cross legged position, his eyes closed and his hands in the ram sign. "I'm trying to gather chakra"

The chunin decided to tune everyone else out and focus on his breathing and the chakra circulation within his body. After about two more minutes, he opened his eyes to see Sokka holding his pants which... currently had rips.

"Uh... What's going on?" Shinra raised an eyebrow.

"Sokka keeps trying to undermine women" Katara glared at her brother.

"What.. why?" Shinra looked at the older boy.

"Relax Sokka," Aang called from the front. "Where we're going, you won't need any pants"

Now Shinra was even more confused. "What? Where are we going?"

Aang immediately steered Appa in the direction of a crescent shaped island.

"We just made a pitstop yesterday" Sokka said as they all got off Appa. "Shouldn't we get a little more flying done before we camp out?"

"Sokka's right" Katara said. "At this rate we won't get to the North Pole till spring"

"And I won't be able to find one of those pathways" Shinra added.

"But Appa's tired already" Aang said. "Aren't you boy?"

The bison stayed quiet.

"I said, aren't you boy?" Aang nudged Appa this time, earning a grunt.

"Riiiight" Shinra tilted his head.

"Real convincing" Sokka added. "Still, hard to argue with a ten ton magical monster"

Aang ran towards the water and gasped. "Look!"

They all looked to the water and a giant fish jumped out of it.

"Holy shi-" Shinra's eyes widened at the size of it.

"That's why we're here" Aang said. "Elephant Koi! I'm gonna ride it. Katara, you gotta watch me!"

Aang then stripped out of his nomad robes and stayed in his undergarments before running towards the water and diving in.

Shinra shook his head with a laugh. After Naruto, Aang had to be the most hyperactive kid he'd ever seen.

Staring at the water in front of them, Shinra wondered if this would be a good place to practice. His chakra control could never be too perfect, plus he still needed the combat training anyway.

Shinra placed his fingers in the cross sign, spawning six clones around himself.

"Alright, everyone on the water" he ordered and the copies immediately followed, running onto the water till they were a good distance away from the shore. "Last one standing gets to pick what we have for dinner!"

That seemed to set the clones in motion as all six of them rushed towards the original , some with their bare hands and some with kunai. Shinra weaved the first one before kicking him aside, grabbed the second clone and flipped him over and barely managed to block a swipe from yet another clone holding a kunai. Shinra immediately grabbed the clone's hand and twisted it, forcing him to drop the kunai. The clone sought to swing with his free hand before Shinra kicked the copy right in the midsection with as much force as he could, turning that clone into smoke.

"Wow, he's really going at it" Sokka commented, not sure what to think about the scene in front of him. "And I thought Aang was the weirdest in the group"

Suddenly Sokka noticed a huge shadow following the koi fish Aang was riding.

"There's something in the water!" He yelled.

"What?!" Shinra and his clones completely stopped their sparring to look where Sokka was pointing. True to his words, there was something huge lurking underneath.

The koi fish immediately tossed Aang off, only for him to be caught by one of Shinra's doppelgangers. The creature immediately turned it's attention to them, causing Shinra's clone to run back to shore with Aang in his arms. The creature followed them both.

The original Shinra however, was already preparing to handle it. Grabbing his right arm, a lightning blade sparked to life. He immediately sped towards the creature, leapt and thrust the lightning technique into it's dorsal fin.

The creature seemed to vibrate for a second due to the electrocution before retreating back into the water.

'You nerfed the Lightning Blade' the nine tails sounded disappointed.

'I always nerf the lightning blade. I'm not trying to kill anyone'

The old fox let out a mocking scoff in reply.

"What in the hell was that?!" Shinra asked as he reached the shore after dispelling all his clones.

"I don't know" Aang said as he put on his robes again.

"Well let's not stick around to find out" Sokka said.

"Wait" Shinra shushed Sokka and immediately threw a shuriken upwards into the trees above.

A group immediately jumped down from those same trees and surrounded Shinra and the others.

"How'd you know we were there?" One of the women in the group tilted her head.

"Let's call it experience" the 14 year old looked around and caught the Kyoshi warriors about to sneak attack Aang and the others. "Hey! Don't even think about it"

"Or what?" The woman asked. "You'll tell the Fire Nation?"

"What?" Shinra furrowed his eyebrows. "You think we're with them? Look at us, do we look remotely Fire Nation?"

"You could be spies for all we know" The woman challenged.

"Well we're not" Shinra have her a deadpan look. "We're only here because somebody wanted to ride a giant fish sooo bad"

Aang looked down.

"Just let us leave the way we came" Shinra looked back at the woman, still in his stance. "Please, we don't wanna hurt anyone"

"Answer all our questions first" The lady pressed as the people of the island ran towards the commotion.

"Why?" Shinra tilted his head.

"You four have some explaining to do" the Chief of the island stepped forward.

"Fine" the ninja sighed.

"Why are you negotiating with a bunch of girls?" Sokka asked.

Shinra gave Sokka an annoyed glare before turning to the Chief while pointing to the water tribe boy. "Y'know what? You can take him"

"Look I'm sorry, Shinra's right" Aang admitted. "I'm the reason they're here. I wanted to ride the elephant Koi"

"How do we know you're not Fire Nation spies?" The Chief retorted. "Kyoshi stayed out of the war this far and we intend to keep it that way"

Shinra let out a groan. sure this world is at war but how did these people assume everyone was Fire Nation?

"Wait, this island is named for Kyoshi?" Aang perked up. "I know Kyoshi!"

"How could you possibly know her?" The Chief scoffed. "Avatar Kyoshi was born here 400 years ago. She's been dead for centuries"

"She's his past life" Shinra spoke.

"Past life... Are you implying that this boy is the Avatar?" The Chief asked.

"Yep"

"That's impossible!" The lady with the war fans spoke again. "The last Avatar was an Airbender who disappeared a hundred years ago"

"You're looking at him!" Shinra gestured towards Aang.

"That's me!" Aang added.

"Throw the impostor to the unagi" the chief ordered the ladies with the war fans who immediately started heading towards the group.

"If you don't back the fuck up..." Shinra immediately stood in front of his friends and conjured a lightning blade. The sudden appearance of lightning in his hand coupled with the high pitched chirp it made scared everyone around.

"Shinra, don't use that!" Aang immediately went over to Shinra.

"Aang" Katara looked at him, her tone urgent. "Do some Airbending"

The monk immediately got the message and propelled himself up at least 12 feet in the air with Airbending, all the way up to the statue of Kyoshi before letting himself float back down as everyone gasped.

"He was telling the truth..." The Chief looked at him. "You are the Avatar"

"Finally" Shinra sighed as the lightning blade slowly disappeared from his hand.

"Now check this out" Aang immediately pulled out a few marbles and started spinning them with Airbending. And for whatever reason, that drove the village wild. One guy in particular freaked out so much he started foaming in the mouth.

"Wow" was all Shinra could let out.

"Well it seems you are not our enemies" the Chief said.

"That's what I've been trying to tell you, you old fart" Shinra folded his arms before realizing what he'd just said. "I'm so sorry"

Where the hell did that come from?

'You're picking up the blonde brat's attitude'

The news of the Avatar arriving on Kyoshi Island alongside a boy with strange abilities spread like wildfire. Soon enough it reached Zuko and Iroh.

"They're on Kyoshi Island?" The prince asked before turning to Iroh. "Uncle, ready the rhinos! They're not getting away from me"

"Are you going to finish that?" Iroh pointed to Zuko's plate of fish.

"I was going to save it for later!" Zuko picked it up and walked away, causing his uncle to pout.

The gang all sat at a long table that had different sorts of desserts on it.

Well... All of them except Sokka.

"Alright! Dessert for breakfast!" Aang immediately started stuffing his face. "These people sure know how to treat an avatar"

"Katara you gotta try these " Aang offered one of the pastries to Katara.

"Well..." The girl looked uncertain.

"Come on..." Shinra extended one to her too.

"Okay maybe just a bite" Katara gave in and took the pastries from both boys.

"Sokka what's your problem?" Aang looked at the water tribe boy who was grumbling to himself in a corner. "Eat"

"I'm not hungry" Sokka grumbled.

"That's a fat lie, you're always hungry" Shinra replied before biting into the pastry once again.

"He's just mad because a bunch of girls kicked his butt yesterday" Katara had a smug smile on her face.

"They snuck up on me" Sokka insisted.

"Right.. and then they kicked your butt" Katara continued. Shinra pointed at her, silently agreeing with her.

"Sneak attacks don't count!" Sokka pressed.

"As someone trained in stealth... yes they do" Shinra corrected.

Sokka wasn't even listening as he started storming off and grumbling to himself.

Shinra was about to take another bite when he felt himself being watched.. again. Turning around, he saw one of the ladies from earlier watching him from outside the window... The leader if he remembered right.

He put his pastry down and leapt out the window.

"Um.. May I help you?" Shinra folded his head once he stood in front of her.

"How did you bend lightning?" She asked simply. "And how did you clone yourself?"

Shinra relaxed, realizing she was only curious as to how his abilities worked.

"Oh.. well, simply put, while benders use chi, I use an energy form called chakra" The boy explained. "Apparently they're fundamentally different but Chakra powers my lightning like chi powers Aang's bending"

The girl looked at him like he was crazy.

"I'm being completely serious" Shinra shook his head. "Though my abilities look similar to bending, it doesn't exactly work the same"

"So if you're not a bender what are you?" She folded her arms.

"I'm a ninja" The boy replied as simply as possible.

The girl saw no signs of him lying so she decided to believe him and stretch her hand. "I'm Suki, I'm the leader of the Kyoshi warriors. What's your name, ninja boy?"

"Shinra" he honored her handshake with a smile. Well at least this was finally cleared up. "You girls were great by the way. Were you all in the trees the whole time?"

"Yeah actually" Suki nodded. "Well, long enough to see you hit the unagi at least. Sorry about the ambush by the way, we didn't know you were with the Avatar"

"Why are you sorry? That was awesome!" Shinra beamed at her, causing Suki to laugh.

"You were impressive too, you managed to sense us even though we made no sound" she complimented. "Wanna come meet the other warriors?"

Shinra nodded. "I'd love to"

Suki took him to the Kyoshi warriors dojo and introduced him to the other warriors. He bowed respectfully to them after and couldn't help but notice some where staring at him and... Giggling.

Before he could even start to feel self aware, Sokka burst into the room. "Shinra?!"

"Aye" the ninja nodded simply.

"What are you doing here?" The son of Hakoda asked.

"Observing the warriors training" Shinra raised an eyebrow. "What're you doing here?"

"Looking for get a little workout before they resume their dance lessons" Sokka replied.

Shinra had to resist the urge to bang his own head against the wooden wall of the dojo. Sokka was really getting annoying with this sexist bullshit.

"Well you're in the right place," Suki said. "Sorry about yesterday, I didn't know you were friends with the Avatar"

"Seeing as you're all a bunch of girls, I'll make an exception" Sokka folded his arms.

Shinra was practically exhaling steam from his nostrils as he sighed for probably the fiftieth time.

'I wish Grandma could hear this. She'd beat the shit out of him... And I'd happily let her'

'For once I agree with you' the nine tails replied.

"I should hope so," Suki replied sarcastically. "A big strong man like you? We wouldn't stand a chance"

"True but don't feel bad, I'm the best warrior in my village after all" Sokka shrugged. "Matter of fact, Shinra's my student"

Shinra stopped fuming and froze in place. "Excuse me?"

"Best warrior huh?" Suki giggled. "Coming from Shinra it would be more believable"

"He did not teach me Jackshit–" Shinra was cut off by Sokka shushing him. He let out another sigh.

"Perhaps you'd like to give us a demonstration" Suki teased.

"Well... I..." Sokka's smile fell. Shinra instantly smiled at this.

"C'mon Sensei" Shinra joined in. "Show them all the awesome stuff you taught me"

Suki and all the other ladies nodded in agreement.

"Well if that's what you want" Sokka finally agreed. "I'd be happy to"

"Oh this should be fun " Shinra mumbled.

From where Suki stood, she instantly saw Shinra's smile widen as he mouth to her "fuck him up"

One quick ass beating later, Shinra could barely hold back his laughter as Sokka laid on the floor, his right hand tied to his left leg.

"Got anything else you wanna teach us?" Suki giggled along with the rest of the warriors as Sokka's face flushed in major embarrassment from his position on the floor.

Shinra almost felt bad for laughing but Sokka had to learn the hard way.

After Suki untied and let Sokka leave, she turned to Shinra. "Now back to you, ninja boy"

"What can I do for ya?" Shinra asked curiously.

"There's things we wanna know" Suki folded her arms.

"Like?"

"How powerful is that lightning of yours?" The Kyoshi warrior raised an eyebrow.

"Oh," Shinra thought about it for a second. "Depends on what move I'm using, honestly. Every lightning release technique varies in power"

"So there's different variations of that lightning we saw?" A Kyoshi warrior asked him.

Shinra nodded. "At full power, the lightning blade could actually be fatal"

"So you flashed a killer power at us?" Suki tilted her head.

"Yes and no" Shinra shrugged. "after I learned the lightning blade, I practiced it enough times to reduce the amount of lightning concentrated in my hand. So, that specific lightning blade wasn't deadly, just painful"

Suki slowly nodded. "Do you usually use the non lethal lightning?"

"Yeah.. " Shinra nodded slowly. "I've seen my Sensei go all out with it... I really don't wanna do that"

The young ninja let out a breath as a disturbing memory crossed his mind.

"I hear you're from another world" Another warrior asked. "Is that true?"

"Ohh, yeah pretty much" Shinra nodded.

"What's it like?" Suki inquired.

Shinra thought for a second, the Shinobi continent was both really similar and really different from the four nations in this world. Ironically, he'd noticed both were called the elemental nations.

"I'd honestly say it's similar to this one but the wars are different" Shinra explained. "Mine has had three different wars at different times but we're currently at peace.. but that doesn't mean it's not dangerous"

"Now I'm really intrigued" the warrior spoke again. "What exactly makes it so dangerous? What've you seen?"

Shinra looked at Suki for permission. The leader smiled at him and nodded in approval.

"I guess it couldn't hurt to share a few stories" Shinra turned to the warriors and sat on the ground in front of here.

"... And honestly I think Gaara would've killed Lee if his Sensei didn't step in" Shinra explained. "It was that horrible"

"But he was still getting back up?" Suki blinked in surprise. "Even while he was unconscious..."

"Yeah, Lee is crazy dedicated" Shinra nodded in genuine admiration for his friend. Truthfully, Rock Lee was one of his biggest inspirations among his peers. Just watching Lee and Guy Sensei train was enough to fire him up enough to join them.

... Till he couldn't keep up that is.

Shinra was about to start telling them about the leaf village invasion when Sokka walked in again.

"Hey, Suki.. Shinra" Sokka greeted, way more awkwardly than he did the first time.

"Yo" Shinra smiled at him but Suki wasn't as friendly.

"What do you want? Another dance lesson?" Suki snarked.

"No, I... Let me explain" Sokka stuttered.

Suki still glared at him before Shinra tapped her on the shoulder.

"Hey, I know he can be an insensitive, loudmouth, sarcastic, condescending idiot from what you've seen, but give him a second chance" Shinra spoke. "I didn't finish the story but Gaara is actually a close friend now despite all the fucked up things he did. Anyone can change"

Suki sighed and nodded before turning to Sokka. "so what do you want?"

Sokka then did something neither the warriors nor Shinra expected; Sokka went on both knees.

"I would be honored if you would teach me" He said.

Shinra smiled. It was about damn time.

"Even if I'm a girl?" Suki sneered.

"I'm sorry if I insulted you earlier" Sokka looked down. "I was wrong"

Suki looked back to see Shinra nodding at her, a proud smile still on his face.

She pursed her lips and closed her eyes. "Alright. But you have to follow all our traditions"

"Of course" Sokka looked up at her.

"And I mean all of them" Suki folded her arms. Shinra wondered why she was stressing on that specific detail.

Few minutes later, he found out as Sokka was dressed in the full Kyoshi warrior uniform including the makeup.

"Do I really have to wear this? It feels a little... Girly" Sokka complained.

"Hey at least this won't blow your cover" Shinra snorted as he thought of Naruto's bright orange outfit.

"And he should be proud. This is a warrior's uniform" Suki explained. "The silk thread represents the brave blood that flows through our veins. The gold insignia represents the honor of a warrior's heart"

"Bravery and honor" Sokka puffed out his chest as he took in the meaning of the uniform.

"That reminds me," Suki looked at Shinra. "You're a warrior like us, do you have anything that represents your honor"

Shinra pointed at his headband which was still wrapped around his head. "This headband is pretty much the biggest sign of my loyalty to the village. It's optional to wear it and everyone wears theirs differently but, honestly I wear it out of pride for the village.. that and I also worked my ass off to earn this"

Suki nodded. She admired his level of commitment to the point where Shinra still represented his village when he was literally worlds apart from it. Sokka meanwhile finally got comfortable in the Kyoshi warriors outfit.

"Hey, Sokka!" Aang walked past the dojo. "Nice dress"

Sokka promptly felt embarrassed again, much to Suki's amusement.

"Don't worry, just focus on training" Shinra patted his shoulder.

The ninja then felt a warmth coming from outside.

Was that... Chakra?

"I'll be back" Shinra turned to the others.

"Where are you going?" Suki asked as the ninja walked outside.

"Outside to check on something" He replied. "I don't wanna distract you guys"

Heading outside, Shinra walked towards where he felt the chakra signature getting stronger. Was there a crack on the island? Was another chakra user here?

Shinra got to a tree, inspecting it cause he seemed to be standing right next to the source of chakra. Suddenly, from behind that tree popped out a very familiar amphibian.

"Fucking hell–" Shinra jumped back considerably, immediately pulling out a kunai.

"Woah woah woah! It's me!" Gamatatsu held up his arms.

Shinra immediately relaxed once he saw who it was. "What is wrong with you?!"

"I can't control where I end up in this word!" The toad yelled back. "And I thought you were a stranger!"

The Kyoshi Island villagers all stared wide eyed at the scene in front of them; the strange boy that accompanied the Avatar was arguing with a talking animal. Now the elders in the village could say they'd seen everything.

Shinra let out a deep sigh and pinched his nose. "Why couldn't I have gotten Chief? Or at least your brother?"

"Hey, be thankful I even showed up" The toad sassed.

"Right, right" Shinra nodded slowly. "So any luck?"

"Still nothing" Gamatatsu shook his head. "Jiraiya is still looking for a way for either of you to reach across your dimensions though"

Huh.. Shinra sometimes forgot the old man was one of the sharpest and most powerful ninjas to exist when he wasn't being a pervert. Hopefully he found some useful information soon enough.

"Have you been moving around?" Gamatatsu looked around, noticing they were in a different location from the South Pole.

"Yeah.. this world's in the middle of a war and I'm friends with the only ones who can stop it" Shinra explained.

"You're in a warzone?!" Gamatatsu almost screamed at him. "Are you dumb?!"

"Maybe" the chunin shrugged. "but you should know by now that I'm not turning my back on anyone who needs me. As long as I can help, I will"

Gamatatsu sighed and nodded. "You and Naruto are cut from the same cloth, huh?"

Shinra laughed a little. "Can't argue with that"

"Just be careful out there" Gamatatsu cautioned. "Everyone's already worried about you as it is"

"I'll be fine, really" Shinra nodded.

"By the way," Gamatatsu pushed the backpack next to him forward. "Tsunade said to give you these"

"What's in it?" Shinra picked the bag up and zippered it i to find books, another compartment contained weapons and the smallest corner had a first aid supplies. He then noticed a note stuck to the side of the backpack.

'You had us all worried and we still are. I'm just glad to hear that you're okay. We're looking for a way to get you back but for now, take care of yourself, remember the Shinobi prohibitions, don't stop training and please don't act stupid.

– Love, Tsunade'

Shinra smiled and shook his head. "Yeah, that's Grandma alright..."

"Thanks, man" Shinra said to Gamatatsu as he slowly closed his bag. "Tell Grandma and everyone else I'm doing fine"

"Will do. Take care, kid" the toad nodded before poofing away.

Shinra stared at the spot where the toad had been just seconds ago before putting the backpack on and walking back to the dojo, his mind still slightly wandering to the leaf village.

Walking back in silently, he saw Suki and Sokka training and honestly Sokka's movements alone already looked far better than they were an hour ago. Shinra folded his arms.

'For an idiot, he catches on quick' the nine tails commented. 'If they both had a Sensei like that Might Guy, they'd make for strong ninja'

'Are you... Complimenting them?' Shinra was genuinely surprised.

'I know potential when I see it' the old fox rebutted.

Before either of them could even notice him, Oyaji ran into the dojo.

"Firebenders have landed on our shores!" He yelled. "Girls, Shinra come quickly!"

"Somehow I'm not even surprised" Shinra said before shrugging off his backpack and sprinting towards the village.

After hopping from roof to roof, Shinra finally got to the village entrance where he saw about four rhinos with two men on each, excluding Zuko's. There were probably more of them but Shinra wasn't sure.

"Come on out avatar!" Zuko yelled. "You can't hide from me forever!"

"Find him" Zuko ordered. Right before any of the men could move however, a kunai landed and stuck to the ground right in front of the rhino's feet, causing it to step back a little, almost throwing Zuko off.

Shinra then landed in front of them next.

"The traitor" Zuko narrowed his eyes.

"We're still going with that?" Shinra gave a deadpan look. "I'm not even from your nation"

"Where's the Avatar?" The prince demanded.

"The who?" Shinra tilted his head, causing Zuko to get even more annoyed. He then shot a blast of fire at Shinra which the ninja easily dodged before going on offense himself, rushing towards the firebender at thrice the speed of the average soldier. While he ran, Shinra instantly threw a shuriken in Zuko's direction, causing the prince to jump off the rhino.

Shinra immediately weaved a couple hand signs and immediately thrust his hands forward; sending a good amount of air bullets in the firebender's direction which, despite Zuko's effort to block, hit their mark and sent him skidding backwards.

Shinra pressed forward as two Kyoshi warriors took out the other men. Zuko sent an arc of fire from his feet, only for Shinra to slide to his knees and duck. He'd concluded after the fight on the ship that benders weren't the best at close range combat, so giving Zuko space wasn't an option. He dodged yet another blast easily, blocking Zuko's right arm with his own before sending his left fist to the Prince's midsection and admittedly, Zuko felt it through his armor.

The stun was enough for Shinra to kick Zuko backwards a significant distance. Before he could do anything else however, a soldier shot a blast at him from his left. Shinra jumped out of the way just in time, leaving the spot where he'd stood scorched and black.

Once he landed, the fourteen year old grunted andmade the hand sign to summon clones, spawning a copy of himself. He immediately grabbed the clone's arm and threw him at the soldier who barely had time to shoot again as the second Shinra crashed into him.

The original looked over to Zuko to see he was already busy with Aang. He turned back to his original opponents only to be surrounded by four more soldiers.

"Wow.. okay"

Shinra pulled out two kunais, twirled them into a reverse grip and channelled chakra into them, causing both knives to become decorated with sparks. The ninja let out a breath before charging at the firebenders

Shinra flipped yet another soldier on his back after electrocuting him. The boy then sprinted over to Katara and Aang.

"Shinra, we have to leave" Katara turned to him.

"Do you not see this village getting terrorized?!" Shinra replied.

"We have to lure Zuko away from here" Katara explained. "I know it feels wrong to run but it's the only way"

Shinra let out a deep sigh. She was right.

As Appa landed next to them, the gang moved to climb on.

"Shinra!"

The boy looked down to see Suki running towards them, his backpack in her hands.

"Oh shit.." Shinra couldn't believe he'd almost left it behind. "thanks!"

"You're welcome" Suki tossed it to him.

"You guys sure I shouldn't leave a clone behind?" Shinra asked everyone as he caught the bag.

"We'll be okay " Suki shook her head. "Just go!"

Shinra nodded as Aang whipped Appa's reins and sent them flying.

As they flew further away, Aang and Shinra couldn't help but look at the burning village below.

"I know it's hard" Katara looked between the two. "But you did the right thing. Zuko would've destroyed the village of we stayed"

"Should've knocked him out when I had the chance" Shinra whispered, halfway between regret and anger.

Aang however, did something absolutely crazy; he jumped off Appa into the lake.

"Have you fucking lost it?!" Shinra screamed from over the saddle. ironic cause he was usually the one doing the crazy stuff but this??!

A couple of seconds later, the unagi emerhef from the water, with Aang in it's back. The Airbender immediately pulled back the barbells on the unagi's head causing it to open it's not and send a huge spray of water on the village, extinguishing all the fire. Shinra was awestruck and couldn't do anything but laugh. That was amazing..

The sea serpent threw it's head up, throwing Aang off it and into the air for Appa to catch just in time.

"How did you even do that?!" Shinra tilted his head as Aang climbed back on.

"There are some secrets an Airbender has to keep" Aang smiled. Shinra shook his head.

"Touche" he laughed.

"I know I know" Aang looked at Katara. "That was stupid and dangerous"

"Yes it was" Katara nodded before pulling Aang into a hug, much to the Airbender's surprise as he broke into the biggest smile Shinra had ever seen.
