CHAPTER 5:

The gang had a really great time. After a few hours, while Tori was dancing, someone walked up to her.

It was Mara, dressed in a zombie outfit. Her curly hair still looked the same, but her face was heavily done with make-up. "Hey Tori," she said stiffly.

"Oh, Mara!" Tori said happily, enjoying the music. "You enjoying the party?"

"Yes, it's very gruesome," Mara answered.

"It is, isn't it?" Jade asked with a laugh; Tori turned quickly to look at her. Jade just shrugged.

"I'm going to enjoy the party now," Mara said before moving away.

"Why do I feel like I've seen her before?" Cat asked the group loudly over the music.

"I don't know where you might've seen her, but I've had some creepy vibes about her since day one," Andre said.

"She's just different, Andre," Tori said. "We all were."

"We all still are," Jade replied with a snicker.

"That's actually still true," Tori admitted.

"She kind of reminds me of someone my brother knew a while back," Cat mentioned.

"God knows who your brother hangs out with," Tori said.

"No, I remember… Mara, or whatever her name is, from somewhere..." Cat said vaguely. "I just don't know where. But I do remember not liking her."

"Let me know if you figure it out," Andre said and Cat nodded.

Cat updated her status on TheSlap which read: "I don't like zombies…- MOOD = Playful".

Just around midnight, the party was beginning to die down. Tori decided to wrap the party up. She ushered everyone outside except her friends and parents.

"Woah, that was some party," Robbie said, once the other guests had left.

"Yes, for real," Tori replied tiredly.

"What time is it?" Trina asked, sitting down on the pale purple couch by the wall.

"11:55," Tori answered.

"That's late," Cat said with a sigh. "Say, when are we going to take the plane back to L.A.?"

"In the morning," Holly said. She took a look at the flight app on her phone.

"Do you really have to go so soon?" Tori asked, pleading. "You guys could stay the weekend here in New York!"

"We can't. Leah's only staying the night with Trixie tonight, and we can't stay here for two more days," Holly said.

"Yeah that's true," Tori said thoughtfully; her phone pinged with a FaceTime request. "Speaking of which!"

She accepted it quickly and held it to her face. The first thing she could see was Leah in a bulldog costume, and right next to her was Trixie in a pirate costume.

"Hey, Leah," Tori said with a smile. "Whatcha been up to?"

"It's been an amazing night!" Leah said with a laugh. "We've got so much candy!"

"Remember not to have it all in one go," Tori advised.

"Promise," Leah replied. "By the way, your costume looks awesome! How do you like our costumes?"

"They're just perfect," Tori said. She sidestepped over closer to her friends, so she could get them in the shot.

"OH, those costumes are to die for!" Leah gasped. "Cat, you really did a good job!"

"Thank you!" Cat said.

"How did the party go?" Leah inquired.

"Just perfect," Andre said.

"Sad I couldn't be there to join you guys." Leah frowned.

"Awh, Leah don't be sad," Tori said. "You're spending the night with Trixie!"

"Yeah that's true," Leah said with a smile. "Are you guys spending the weekend there?"

"David and I are coming back in the morning," Holly replied. "While the others can stay here."

"Oh, okay," Leah replied. "That's really good to know! Oh – I gotta go. Trixie's mom is calling us inside."

"Take care, Leah," Tori said, just before Leah hung up.

After a few minutes of everyone just chit-chatting, Tori decided to find places for everyone to settle down for the night. It was a small apartment, but she was sure she could work something out.

In the morning, Holly and David Vega took the flight back to LA. Tori and Andre spent the rest of the weekend in New York showing their friends around.

THE END!
