In a grimy small cage dozens of Flicky chicks were chaotically hopping around the cage bumping into one another. They all freeze when they hear a metallic clang coming from outside the cage. A shadowy figure opens the cage door causing most of the Flickys retreat to the other end of the cage except for one. A purple Flicky stands her ground and stares curiously at the grey hand that enters the cage and reaches for her.
In the present day Wave the Swallow sits at the top of a staircase slowly nodded her head to the music that was playing on the 32X she had in her hand. Wave slowly gets to her feet and walks down the steps onto the street of Ixis which was bustling with people. Wave passed Belle who began dancing awkwardly to the music "Come on, Storm, dance!" she said. Storm leaned against a support beam looking insulted "Only idiots dance". Wave rolled her eyes and then spotted Lien-Da and Chaos putting up a sign at an establishment. Wave looked like she was about to go over when she got distracted by another sight. Bean was fighting with Muttski over piece of cloth. Wave laughed and continued her journey until she entered a bar. She sighs when she finds what's inside. Jet was alone at a table with multiple bottles keeping him company. He looks up and narrows his eyes when he sees Wave "Hey!". He gets up and sways drunkenly "I told you told you a million times, you keep your grimy talons off my 32X!" he slurred. He dashed forward and snatched it out of her hand. Wave shrugged and took a drink from the fridge "And I told you a million times I don't have talons!". She took a sip as Jet suddenly collapsed. Lien-Da entered the bar and stared at him solemnly. She picked him up and carried him out of the bar. Chaos rushes over concerned and cradles Jet's face. "Again?" Storm says as he and Belle follow them.
Lien-Da gently puts Jet on his bed and tucks him in. She puts a hand on his cheek concernedly before standing up. Jet's hand suddenly moves and holds her wrist "Fiona…I love you". Lien-Da has a saddened look and removes his hand. She turns off the lights and leaves. Outside Wave was standing upside down from the roof "So what're you gonna do about Jet?" "Me? What about you?" "I've got my own emotional issues. What am I gonna do". Lien-Da rolled her eyes "Why are you on the ceiling?" "Testing these new gravity boots".
Bean was standing in a corner with three small stands in front of him. A small crowd watched from behind a shield wall "Here we go" a rabbit said sounding bored. Bean closes his eyes and whistles. The strap of his hat glows cyan and the Laser Wisp flies out of his holster. It hits the first stand but then goes off course and flies right into Lien-Da's chest as she approached them. "Sorry" Bean said sounding scared. He whistled a single note and the Wisp flew back into the holster. The scorching hole in Lien-Da's chest slowly began to repair as she glared at him. Muttski laughed "Seriously, Bean, you must know you will never learn" "You think you can do better" "Yes" he said bluntly. His eyes glowed brighter, a small stone levitated up and hit all three stands effortlessly. The crowd laughed and cheered angering Bean "Telekinesis is cheating. It's a stupid little pebble. I could do that with my damn finger. You're a bad dog". Muttski gasped "Do not say that to me!" "You are. You're a bad dog". Bean walks away but Muttski and the others follow "Take it back! Come on, that's not cool! Lien-Da, did you hear what he just said" "I don't care, Muttski". Belle made Lien-Da slow down "Is Jet okay?" "I don't know" "What're you going to do?". Lien-Da grunts annoyed "He's your brother". She goes to a stand and buys a few sticks with cooked alien rodents on it. Mantis took one "It doesn't matter. He still doesn't listen to me" "Why don't you just touch him and you know, make him happy" Wave suggested. Chaos shivered "I am Chaos" "Dude!" "Gross" everyone said disgusted. Wave shook her head "Not that kind of touching, buddy" "It is wrong to manipulate the feelings of my friends" "What about that time you made me fall in love with my sock?" Storm said. Belle laughed "Well, that was temporary and very funny" "Well, maybe one of us could touch him the other way. Should we draw straws" "Storm, stop helping" Lien-Da said.
Later Wave returned to her apartment and begins to change out of her clothes when she heard a strange crash from outside. She looked out the window and saw an odd dark blue light coming from the eye of Ixis. Before Wave could comprehend what she was looking at the light moved at immeasurable speed and crashed through the window grabbing her. She screamed as she crashed through multiple walls until landing on a small platform. Wave looked up at her attacker, a green and purple insectoid creature made out of crystals and wearing a cape, Void. He grabbed Wave by the throat but then screamed when a razor feather hit him in his back. He looked behind and saw Jet looking out his apartment window. Void fired a blast at the window forcing Jet to take cover. Void then looked back but Wave was gone "Where did you-AH!". Lien-Da suddenly tackled Void off the platform onto the street. Her left arm turned into a cannon and blasted him into a building "Stand down!" she ordered. Void flew back out before Lien-Da could react and pinned her to the ground. He repeatedly punched her in the face and stomach disfiguring her body "NO! STOP! PLEASE!" onlookers begged. Void threw Lien-Da into the bar but then Chaos jumped down from a roof and grabbed Void by the head. Chaos wrapped him in tendrils but Void started to glow. Chaos screamed as his body began to boil. Void was free as Chaos' head fell to the ground, still alive.
Belle ran into the armoury and started typing a code into the weapons' locker "Who is this guy?" "Some super douche with laser hands. I don't fuckin know". Belle took a handful of supplies and threw a gun to Wave.
Bean watched from behind a barrier as Void dangerously surveyed the streets. He closed his eyes and started to whistle. The Wisp clumsily flies in front of him and then rushes out of cover and shoots directly at Void where it then proceeds to harmlessly bounce off his face. Void stops and stares down at the Wisp who fearfully ran away "Who did that!?". Bean squeaks and hides as a woman next to him cries "Shut up" he tells her. Void goes on until he reaches the armoury. Wave just finished assembling her gun but before she can fire Void shoots a laser squarely at her chest. Wave screams and his launched into the wall. Belle tries to grab Void's head but he's too quick and her arm snaps. Before he can finish her Jet appears and shoots multiple razor feathers at Void. He drops Belle and backs away as Jet continuously fires. Void backs right into Storm who slams him into the wall and then throws him outside. As the two fight Jet runs out to help but "JET!" Belle yells. Jet runs back in and sees Belle kneeling over a convulsing Wave "We need a Med-Pack". Jet freezes for a moment but then goes into a cupboard.
Lien-Da's broken body lies on the floor of the bar. Her limbs shook and snapped back into place. A Xorda crawls in concerned "Lien-Da". She tries to help her but Lien-Da pushes her away "Piss off!". Her legs reset and she is able to stand on her own.
Jet ran over to Wave and kneeled opposite Belle who was beginning to cry. Jet took out a small high-tech looking device which he placed on Wave's bloodied chest.
Void was beginning to overpower Storm and started punching him in the face. Storm fell on his back but Void wasn't stopping. He kept punching until Lien-Da appeared from behind. Her arm transformed into a red hot blade which she shoved through Void's back and out his chest. Void froze as Storm laughed despite his face being covered in blood. Void looked at the blade "That hurts" "What a pity" Lien-Da said coldly. She pulled the blade back out and Void collapsed next to Storm. Lien-Da was about to finish him but she then heard Wave's voice. She was screaming in absolute agony. She ran back into the armoury and saw Wave violently shaking as the Med-Pack sparked "All I did was turn it on!" Jet said. Lien-Da's eyes widened "Get it off! NOW!". Jet wrenched it off Wave, her fur was singed underneath.
Bean ran up to the injured Storm with Chaos' head scuttling after him on little legs. They both helped him up but then they saw Void rise back to his feet. He grunted and felt the hole in his chest. He glared at the three of them before taking off and flying back out of the eye of Ixis.
