Authors note: I apologize if I get any locations or anything else wrong. I'm not much for history and that type of stuff lol. Minnikoontzy (sorry if I misspelled that) I've wanted to write this forever but wasn't really sure how, but reading your fire of youth story really gave me my motivation back and a better perspective :) I guess this is basically along the lines of the classic season 3 but if the cons didn't destroy their base (yet) and was finding live clones like in your story. (Seriously them fighting over bones was kind of lame.)
Chapter one discovery
"Lord Megatron, uh, I think I've found something"
The giant mech rolled his eyes and glowered at the computer the red mech was standing next to. "I believe I found a predicon clone that could do some serious damage to the autobots. It appears to have some very lethal venom. It's called a hydra." knockout smirked. Megatron's nasty scowl quickly shifted to a devilish grin. "Gather the troops and retrieve this, hydra. The autobots will receive their well-deserved painful death."
"Optimus, we've got Decepticons pilfering somewhere in Rome, should we investigate or-?" ratchet huffed. The prime stood quietly for a moment, then sighed, "we better check it out, judging by Megatrons sudden obsession of predacons, he's no doubt found another bone for shockwave to clone."
As the autobots jumped through the ground bridge portal, they were swarmed by cons, the autobots deployed their guns and took down the vehicons with ease. Optimus knew something was up when Megatron stuck around and knockout didn't run like a scared puppy. In a sudden roar a ginormous predicon sprung from behind Megatron and bounded towards the autobots.
"Ratchet! Bridge us out, now!" Optimus shouted. Within a few moments a bridge opened behind them. As everyone jumped through the portal, Optimus heard a loud shriek and felt a huge set of teeth grab his leg. In mere seconds, Optimus was suspended in the air with no way down. Megatron smugly stared at him and drew his blade. Suddenly a huge green bot barreled straight into him as a white bot shoved his blades into the beast's leg. the predicon dropped the prime and wheeled around and shrieked, directing his attention to the wrecker. Smokescreen jumped through the portal as wheeljack and bumblebee made a distraction. "Optimus! Are you ok?" the young bot shrieked. Hearing the young bot, the beast wheeled around and bounded towards them. Optimus shoved smokescreen away as the predicon sunk its teeth into his shoulder. He felt the venom enter his system as the monster's teeth shredded his mesh like paper.
The prime kicked the hydra in the throat, causing it to let go of his shoulder. The beast screamed in protest as its head split into nine, spewing a stream of green flames into the air. Optimus ran and ordered the autobots to evacuate. His sensors flashed with about a hundred warnings by the time he made it to the portal. in the safety of their base at last Optimus finally realized how bad the damage actually was. Leaking energon, smokescreen panicking, ratchet yelling, it was chaos. His sensors were flashing with more warnings and the venom was taking effect. He felt a strange pulse from the matrix before he blacked out.
