Kuri woke up in the hospital. "Sister? Kiana? Where is she? WHERE'S MY SISTER?!"
The nurses ran in and restrained her.
Out in the waiting room, Deku watched with a pained look.
Lemillion gave him a sympathetic look. "You know more about her than I do. What happened?"
"Being near her sister must have pulled her there…" Deku said in a vacant voice, cracking with pain. "they have a special kind of….bond."
"You should talk to her." Lemillion encouraged. "Try to calm her down. She loves you, right?"
Deku nodded, emboldened. He headed into her room. "Kuri…." He touched her hand. "Hey….you need to relax. It'll be okay. I promise!"
"DEKU?!" Kuri snarled, struggling violently with her restraints. "Why did you take her away! I hate you! I'll kill you! Bring me my sister!"
The door slammed open and in ran…Mana?! "Get back Midoriya! Make yourself useful and order Not For Any to LET HER GO!"
Deku recovered himself quickly. "'Let her go! That's enough!'"
Kuri slumped, body relaxing.
Mana sighed in relief. "Best let her rest. I'll explain to you, and you can tell her later. Nighteye sent me."
"He sent you?" Deku said, surprised.
"Yes." Mana confirmed. "That little girl, she was my-our—illegitimate younger sister, Kiana Ofuda."
Deku's eyes widened. "What?! Is that why she acted like that?!"
Mana nodded. "The inheritance quirk did that. That child is in agony and crying out. Everyone in our bloodline felt her cry. In Reiko it is weakest, so she was not compelled. For me, I have completed my training. So I was not compelled. But Kuri…was compelled, possessed. She ceases to be Kuri." Mana tousled his hair playfully. "You should've used One For All right away Baka."
Deku was sheepish. "Next time I will. I was so scared and worried for her!"
"She is going to be fine. She's about to wake! I was never here!" Mana vanished cuz she was a projection.
"Mana!" Kuri pointed but she was gone.
Deku blinked. "Kuri are you okay?!"
Kuri nodded and pouted. "She always does that. I can never tell when she's really there!"
"How did she do that?!" Deku asked.
"Astral projection. She's actually at home. She sent herself to you. It's part of her telekinesis quirk. But she can't use her quirk as an astral. But killing an astral won't kill her!" Kuri explained.
"Woah! That's useful!" Deku started muttering under his breath.
Kuri grinned and giggled. "Your ok. Your really really ok! I was so worried! I was…awake…during all that. I could see and hear, but my quirk was controlling me."
"I was so worried." Deku hugged her. "Yeah I'm okay. You're okay too. I promise we'll get her back okay?"
"Izuku…" Kuri crumpled into his arms and screamed her pain into his chest. "I felt it! Her pain was so horrible! It sings in my blood Izuku!"
Deku hugged her tight and rubbed her back. "aahh….it'll be okay. I'm so sorry."
"I want to ask you something. I'm asking you as my master through our bond." Kuri said seriously.
Deku looked at her curiously. "What is it?"
"I want you to tell me to feel you, instead of my blood. This pain…"
"What?" Deku asked, taken aback.
Kuri blushed. "I-I want you to…use our bond. Command me to feel you instead of Kiana. S-so I can fight!"
"I have to word it just right okay?" Deku said, thinking.
Kuri nodded, patiently awaiting his command.
Deku gave her the command.
Kuri hugged him. "Thank you." Kuri whispered, tears falling.
Deku hugged her. He had to save her sister. But now that he had seen what this did to her; he couldn't let her be a part of the rescue.
This was something he had to do alone. For her.
