Bakugo stopped and beckoned to Reiko. "Reiko, cmon."
The approached the testing arena.
Reiko ran up. "Yeah. Let's pass this."
Bakugo stopped again. "Oh yeah. Icyhot is comin too."
On cue, Todoroki approached. "Good morning Bakugo, Reiko."
Reiko smiles. "Hey Shoto. Looks like it's the three of us!"
Bakugo grumbled to himself, wanting Reiko alone.
"How are you feeling Reiko?" Todoroki asked gently. "How is Kuri?"
"She's doing good. I-I'm doing better thank you." Reiko grabbed Bakugo's hand.
Bakugo smugly squeezed her hand and smiled slightly.
"Let's get going. We don't wanna be late." Reiko said.
"I guess." Bakugo groused, annoyed.
"Kat…" Reiko poked him.
"Yeah?" Bakugo softened.
"Be good please?" Reiko said softly.
"Yeah yeah whatever." Bakugo conceded.
Reiko blinked and whispered. "Are you jealous?"
Bakugo grunted and looked away.
"You are!" Reiko giggled.
Bakugo ignored her and started stretching.
Reiko chuckled one more time, and started stretching as well.
Bakugo stopped and stared.
Reiko smirked and glanced over.
Bakugo grinned back.
Meanwhile, Todoroki looked up seeing his father and frowning.
Reiko noticed. "He came to watch huh? Welp. Time to show that we can do this!"
Gang Orca came in. "You filthy MAGGOTS need to SHAPE UP"
Reiko groaned.
"What's that groan for puke sack?!"
"Oi! Start over you giant fish!" Bakugo defended her.
"Think your tough mongrel pup?" Gang Orca threw him.
Reiko straightened and tried not to laugh.
Gang Orca picked Bakugo up and smacked him on the back appreciatively. "Showed real caliber stickin up for the fluff bucket fox here. Take the test and we'll see how far it gets ya."
"I-I'm not a fluff bucket!" Reiko protested.
Gang Orca threw her.
Reiko did a flip and landed on her feet.
Gang Orca tried not to smile.
Bakugo grinned.
Gang Orca regained himself quickly. "Very well. Let's se how you handle…"
Kid streamed into the arena.
"Munchkins! Aw hell!" Bakugo groaned.
"Do not curse in front of children Bakugo." Todoroki chastened.
"Bad Kat." Reiko bopped him on the head.
"Hey! I ain't a babysitter for a buncha rugrats!"
"If we wish to get our licenses you will have to be Bakugo." Todoroki said firmly.
"Exactly." Reiko said, activating her quirk with swirling lights and tricks.
The kids followed the lights around, transfixed.
"How are you two doing?" Reiko asked, keeping the illusions going.
Bakugo grouched at the kids. "We just need ta show em who's boss!" He made explosions in the air.
Reiko chuckled.
"What?! Got any better ideas?"
At that moment, one of the kids stole Reiko's hoshi and ran off.
"Hey!" Reiko ran after them. "N-not cool!"
"Give that back you little nugget! Cmere!" Bakugo ran.
"Not a chance!" Grinned the little monster.
"Damn it!" Bakugo chased.
Todoroki reached out and grabbed the hoshi back.
Bakugo panted and glared at Todoroki.
"You okay?" Todoroki looked at her and held it out.
"Thank…" Bakugo groaned. "goodness." He couldn't bring himself to thank Todoroki.
"Thank you for helping me get it." Reiko kissed Bakugo's cheek.
"Apologize to her!" Bakugo demanded of the kid.
The kid grumbled and apologized.
"That's right." Bakugo kneeled down. "Don't make girls cry."
"But why not?" The kid asked.
"Because. Heroes don't make girls cry, got it. You wanna grow up good right? Then don't make girls or anyone cry." Bakugo said.
The kid thought about that. "Okay." He nodded and looked at Reiko. "I'm really sorry."
"As for the rest of ya." Bakugo grabbed Reiko's hand. "Cmon. Let's show em a good time."
"Eh?!" Reiko blushed.
"Yeah. It'll make 'em respect how awesome we are if we show em who's boss…and make 'em smile too."
"O-okay!" Reiko grinned.
"Let's do this!" Todoroki said excitedly.
Bakugo activated his quirk.
The others joined in.
The kids had fun.
The test ended with them all getting their licenses.
"Well that was fun." Bakugo said.
"It was!" Reiko grinned.
"Ready to go home?" Bakugo took her hand.
"Yes!"
Bakugo shot Todoroki another glare.
Reiko grabbed his face and kissed him hard. "You're the only one for me Katsuki."
