A/N:...I live.
Bloody site breaking threw off my updating schedule. Again!
Writer's block is an evil, VILE thing I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
It certainly doesn't help that Long Covid has been doing my head in, to say nothing of my lungs.
Long story short, I had to get a massive swathe of skin on my side cut off the other day because my doctors are concerned and checking for cancer. And when I say cut, I mean CUT as in with several scalpels at once, leaving me in horrendous pain. Now I may need to go back to the hospital and get yet more "pieces" removed which has me stressed out even more. Don't get me started about the bleeding and the bandages. Painkillers aren't helping.
One of the tests has since come back negative. The others...I haven't heard back from them, yet. The silence is worrying. I'm considering seeing a different doctor.
I've since had more pieces carved away on my chest and neck besides. In other words. I. Am. Suffering. Writing distracts me from the pain, if only just.
So here we go. The fate of this story depends on you, the reader. Your feedback determines the fate of this tale, and many others.
As ever, I own no quotes, references, memes or themes. Not a wit or a one. That much is obvious.
I'm just a humble author trying to make his way in this wild world, one word at a time.
Time and feedback will determine if this remains a story. Simple as that.
In other words...its up to YOU, the reader. Do let me know~!
More Papa Naruto moments ahoy, short though they are.
"Nobody said being a parent would be easy.

Papa Protect (Fragment)
"Daddy, no."
"Daddy, yes." Naruto donned his crown, shrugged on his robe, hefted his staff and stomped toward the door. "Insult my little girl, will he?!"
Marika launched herself at him and landed on his shoulders. Not that it did her much good. His daughter was only seven, after all. Good luck stopping a rampaging jinchuuriki in the middle of Leyndell. The guards took one look at him, their lord and king, and promptly decided they had somewhere else to be. Even the Tree Sentinels turned tail and fled. Wise of them.
Not so, Marika.
"But I like him!" His one and only child wailed, tugging at his hair in a vain attempt to steer him away from his destination. "He's strong!"
"Godfrey is a literal barbarian boy and he called you weak. Ergo, he dies!"
"No, no, no!" she threw a tantrum atop his shoulders.
"Lalalala, daddy can't hear you right now!"
"Daaaaddddyyyyy!"
A/N: Aaaand scene.
I wish this could be longer, but work is wearing me down, body and soul. Trying my best to endure.
As ever, reviews are the fuel that sustain me. Without them I cannot write a single word. Simple as that. Working nearly all hours of the day keep me absurdly busy, as such, I can't bring myself to write something folks don't like.
Again, I'm terribly sorry for the delay. Covid knocked me flat for awhile and devastated my update schedule, to say nothing of the side effects from long covid. I'm still dealing with that more than a month later, though apparently its not life threatening so I have to just "ride it out" according to the docs.
No previews this time. I'm exhausted.
Aaaand there we go. As ever, reviews keep me alive. Without them, I cannot write.
So...in the Immortal Words of Atlas...Review...Would You Kindly?
Hope you enjoyed this, and may your day be filled with lots of luck!
Warm regards,
~Nz.
