A/N:A/N: ...I am not alright today.

Aunt's funeral is today. Posting these plot bin updates, as I'm likely to be busy for the rest of the day.

I've taken to drowning my sorrows in writing and drink, so apologies for any errors here. A lot of Elden Ring updates are ready and rearing to go, I'll be releasing them soon.

As ever, I own no quotes, references, quotes, themes or memes!

They're simply tributes to legends far, far, FAR greater than little 'ol me.

I'm just an old man who writes as a pastime. I don't make any money doing this, not a single cent.

This is ALL done for free. Time and feedback will determine if this fragment becomes a story.

This teaser is from Lord of Frenzy. I'm working on a great many things.

"Not all wounds are meant to mend, and not all things heal.

Lord of Frenzy (Teaser)

Melina was in the doghouse.

Nsruto took a certain bleak amusement in that; he might be willing to forgive what she'd done, but he would never forget.

Alas, the same could not be said of Milicent, Sellen, or Hyetta. They were neither ready to forgive nor forget. In truth, he couldn't bring himself to blame them for it; despite that fact that she'd essentially usurped her own body in this timeline to help him the fact remained; she had betrayed him. That was not a sin so easily forgiven. He didn't know how he would react when faced with Ranni again, but after their last meeting, he had resolved to avoid her as best he could; for as long as humanly possible.

Perhaps that was a bit cowardly on his part, but he knew it wasn't a confrontation he would walk away from without a a few headed words, maybe even a wound or two. Once she saw her sword she would understand...or not. Ranni had ever been the stubborn sort even before they'd become intimate with one aother. Either way he wanted to hope, wanted to believe, but it was just so damnably difficult.

At least Melina didn't have any grand ambitions to "upend the whole of it" and "usurp the order of the world" and all that, but Ranni most certainly had. She'd decided to take all that godly power and just...bugger off, Leave the Lands Between to their fate.

He hoped she was happy, wherever she was, in her ascended state.

A pale hand touched his arm. "You mustn't let such thoughts consume you, my lord. Whatever has happened to you, you're still you."

The Flame in his chest hummed happily at that.

He looked up with a scoff from where he sat. "Is it that obvious?"

Milicent made a face at him and tucked her wings into her back. "Forgive me, I'm not terribly used to these."

"They look good on you." and they did, given her ascension.

She preened a little at that, clasping both hands behind her back and swaying side to side under his gaze. "And my height?"

He granted her a grin. "I always had a thing for tall girls."

"That proves my point. She smiled and sat beside him." You're still you. You're just stronger. Taller, too. And perhaps a little wiser. I'd be an awful hypocrite if were to accuse you of changing now, wouldn't I?"

"Maybe." He tucked a knee into his chest, considering her words.

She scooted a little closer. "We really do need to find you new clothes. You've outgrown those."

"I could say the same of you."

Something sparked in her gaze just then.

"That armor looks frightfully small." She leaned a little closer, lips brushing the outer lobe of his ear. "Shall I help you out of it?"

She took ahold of his right hand and lifted it just so, guiding it up to her bosom.

And just like that, he found himself distracted.
