(Now we're starting the events of of game. Feels like I'm living in a memory. This is inspired by the play pretend I did with LEGO Dimensions, also LEGO Batman 3 Beyond Gotham. Enjoy!)
Picking up where we've left off, we see a mysterious galactic realm. This dimension is known as Vorton, the main gateway hub where the gateway stands. It lit up and opened a portal as Sanjo and her friends fell out it and tumbled onto the ground. It's quite smooth like a tile floor as the kids got up to see their surroundings, completely in a mix of awe and puzzlement. The last minute, they were on Sodor, now they ended in this peculiar place as they began to look around*
Sanjo: Where are we?
Romar: I don't know... But whatever this place is, it looks so... Mysterious.
Octa: *Looks at the massive starry nebula* Looks like we're in... space? *Her eyes widened with realization* Oh my gosh, we're in space!
Otto: If we're actually in outer space, how are we breathing? *Sanjo inhaled and exhaled onto her paw to prove the point*
Sanjo: I think we must be protected by some kinda shield. *Walks toward the view and stopped at the edge* Whatever this place is, it looks amazing. But we need to find Thomas and...
*Before she could finish her sentence, the gateway began to shake and shudder. The young animals approached with caution and curiosity as Sanjo was closest to the gateway. Once she and her friends were now inches away from the gateway; everything went silent. BLAM! The gateway exploded with a bright flash, sending the group flying across the area until they skidded on the ground. The pieces scattered everywhere, even some transparent oval pieces, which Octa, Fredryka and Romar grabbed. After the explosion, a wave of energy washed over the young animals heads, causing them to wince as they held their heads as if experiencing a terrible headache. Sanjo had her eyes shut since the explosion as she got up with her friends*
Sanjo: Ow... my head.
Fredryka: Mine too. I don't know what happened, but I think we're still alive.
Octa: Sanjo, are you okay?
Sanjo: *Stands up, facing her friends while blinking repeatedly* I think so, but... I... *Once she finally opened her eyes, they changed from grayish-blue with black pupils to bright turquoise blue with dark blue pupils, bringing surprised looks to her from her friends* I can still see you.
Romar: Woah...
Sanjo: What is it?
Otto: Your eyes. They look... different.
Sanjo: Really? Does anyone have a mirror? *Her friends shook their heads before she looked at the gateway pieces* I bet we could put this back together.
Romar: Hey, why not? *A montage of the kids reassembling the gateway plays for the next 15 seconds, put the gateway back together exactly as it should be until the process was complete*
Otto: We did it!
Sanjo: Now all we need to do it get back to... *She trailed off at the last part of what she was intending to say, then she showed a look of shock* Oh gosh! Why can't I remember where we were?
Romar: I can't remember either!
Octa: What's going on here?!
Fredryka: How did we just forget where we were earlier today?
Otto: Something's definitely wrong here! *Sighs* Now what do we do?
Sanjo: I have no idea. I guess it's only a matter of time before we can go anywhere else. *The gateway glowed as a large cardboard box came out of the portal along with a few more, bringing the kids by surprise. The first had a printed note saying "you forgot these. Make yourselves at home"* Home?
Octa: And what's all our stuff doing here? *Among the personal belongings was a handheld mirror that looked like the gateway as Sanjo held it to her face to see her new eye color and gazed with wonder*
Sanjo: Wow... *Puts down the mirror, fixing her attention to the gateway* Well, we might as well live here if we can't remember where we were before. And hopefully some new friends can help stop whoever's behind all this.
*Transitioning from a black screen since the ominous opening, the scene fades to a nebula as we slowly pan downwards until we stop at a view of seemingly never-ending, shifting hills of mysterious sand or space debri. This terrain sometimes made shapes from the debris that would float up in shapes like the San Francisco Bridge, some cow skull or something, the number 42, an atom, a tulip and all kinds of other shapes. One of them formed a ring before a dimensional portal opened. The very same kind Sanjo and her friends were sucked into where a foreboding man with galaxy skin, torn cape and pants, wore gold chest armor and a creepy helmet complete with a black staff which also had a portal in it. Along with him was a flying robot known as X-PO (for Xperimental Portal Operator), when he hovered across the dunes, scanning for something indicated by a red light that eventually turned green with a beep once he got to a certain area*
X-PO: Hey, I found the thing! I mean... Anomaly located, Master. *The villain cackled as he approached him*
?: Yes... I found it.
X-PO: (Confused) Uh... You found it?
?: After all these years of searching, it really exists. *Waves his staff over the ground to reveal some tiles that have images of certain objects such as a treasure chest, a crystal, a pair of ruby red slippers and all kinds of other things* Foundation Prime. This depicts the Foundation Elements, artifacts from the start of time. Scattered across the dimensions, only I can gather them in one place.
X-PO: (Hesitant) Just so you know, the Foundation Elements are the cornerstones of time and space. So they're... kinda important to the... *Chuckles* entire universe.
?: Your services are no longer required. *Uses his staff to open a portal behind X-PO as it pulls him in*
X-PO: But the elements can't be safely harnessed, it's too dangerous! And what about the pay raise you promised meeeeeee?! *The portal disappeared along with him once he was sucked in*
?: *Cackles* I will have them all! I will control their power. I will make universes collide! *As he cackled, he changed into a larger size while we rotate in a 360 degree view* (Deep voice) No, I will not be... denied of perfection. *Changes back to his regular size and got up* (Normal voice) My dedication to this work has taken its toll. Not much longer can I freely pass between dimensions. *Laughs menacingly with a slight groan from his earlier transformation* But, there is another way...
Using his staff, he made the ground rise from where he was standing with the tiles of the Foundation Elements. A fortress formed in dark blue stone with light blue circuit lining and the mysterious villain cackled before the screen goes black*
September 27th, 2015.
*Scene fades back to Vorton, the place Sanjo and her had been since August 31st. Sanjo watched the gateway for signs of it activating. After spending the last few hours since morning, she and her friends stayed by the gateway until it lit up. The portal showed Gotham City*
Sanjo: Gotham City.
Romar: Wanna go in?
Sanjo: Sure. Be right back, guys. *Runs toward the gateway and jumped into the portal. In Gotham City, Batman and Robin were chasing Bane who had stolen some Kryptonite (possibly from either the Batcave or Lex Luthur) as some of it fell on the road as Robin caught one of the shards*
Robin: Hey! No littering! What does Bane want with all this Kryptonite, Batman?
Batman: What everyone wants with Kryptonite. To take down Superman. But not today. Cut him off at the bridge. We'll have him cornered.
Robin: Okay, Batman!
*So Batman and Robin drove for the bridge to corner Bane. However, Robin and his motorbike suddenly stopped and were being pulled into the air, just as Sanjo arrived at the scene. She was shocked to see Robin under these circumstances like the one she had before, even Batman saw this at the same time and brought the Batmobile to a halt*
Robin: Wooooah-oh! *While Batman and Sanjo went after Robin to try to save him, Bane was already getting away*
Bane: Oh, and we were having such a nice chase!
Batman: Robin! *Part of a brick wall collapsed to reveal a portal as it pulled Robin and the Kryptonite in, immediately making Batman and Sanjo chase after him*
Sanjo: We have to help him!
Batman: Agreed. Get in! *Opens the Batmobile for Sanjo to join him in trying to rescue their friend until we see a black screen*
*Scene fades to the Mines of Moria where we see the Fellowship of The Ring run across the bridge of Khazad-dûm. All had crossed with Gandalf the Grey left to face the Balrog of Morgoth as it leapt from a wall of fire, ready to face him. The Fellowship turned around to witness the scene*
ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRR!
Gandalf: YOU... SHALL NOT... PASS! *Slams down his staff as Balrog took a few steps forward, causing the bridge to break and fall*
ROOOOOAAAARRRRR!
Gandalf: *Walking away, Balrog's fire whip touched him, putting him the edge of the bridge* Aaaaaa-aaaaarggghhhh!
Frodo: Gandaaaaaalf!
Gandalf: Fly, you fools. *Slips off, falling towards the deep* Augh!
Frodo: NOOOO-OOOOOOOOOO!
*Reaching for his sword, Gandalf grabbed it in attempt to attack Balrog. But during that, a portal opened above which got his attention. Especially by the time the Batmobile came through with Batman and Sanjo. Gandalf was confused*
Gandalf: What in Middle Earth is that?! *The Batmobile crashed against the walls as Batman began to press the eject button*
Batman: Sanjo, grab on.
Sanjo: *Wraps herself around him as both ejected from the Batmobile, allowing them both to escape. Then Batman used his grapple gun to land onto Balrog, bringing him and Sanjo to Gandalf* Watch out!
Batman: Where's Robin?
Gandalf: What? Behind you! *Balrog grabbed Batman, along with Sanjo*
Sanjo: Augh!
Batman: I said, where's Robin?
Gandalf: My dear fellow, I have no idea what you're talking about! *Stabs his sword onto Balrog* Have you tried looking in a tree?
Batman: Not A robin. *Breaks himself free* Robin!
Sanjo: We're looking for someone named Robin. *Swipes at Balrog's arm* Rargh!
Batman: He got sucked into a weird hole in Gotham. Sanjo and I jumped in and it led us to you. *Balrog grabbed him again*
Gandalf: And you are?
Batman: I'm Batman. *Pushes himself out of Balrog's grasp as he grabbed Sanjo and Gandalf* Hold on.
Gandalf: You're Sanjo, I presume?
Sanjo: Yes. I'm a shapeshifter. *Batman used his grapple gun to take her, Gandalf and himself back to the bridge of Khazad-dum* Hang on!
*After returning to the ledge where Gandalf started falling, Batman and Sanjo helped him up. The Fellowship however, hadn't left the Mines of Moria. They still stood where they were as they watched*
Frodo: Gandalf?
Gandalf: My thanks. *He and his newfound allies faced the Fellowship of the Ring*
Frodo: Gandalf! *Starts running towards him before a portal opened behind him*
Gandalf: Frodo! *The portal pulled Frodo in with the One Ring*
Sanjo: *Reaches out her paw* Frodo, quick! Grab my paw! *But Frodo was sucked in before he had the chance*
Frodo: Wooooah-oooooooaaahhhh!
Sanjo: Frodo!
Gandalf: The One Ring! Frodo has the One Ring. It cannot fall into the enemy's hands! *Runs towards the portal with Sanjo and Batman behind him* Quickly, fly! *Jumps into the rift*
Batman: I'm not an actual bat, Gandalf. *Jumps in alongside Sanjo*
Sanjo: He means run, Batman. *The portal closed after she followed, leaving the Fellowship of the Ring alone in shock and bewilderment*
Samwise: I suppose we'll just wait for them, then.
*Scene cuts to Cloud Cuckooland in the world of The LEGO Movie. A dance-off was going on as the camera pans towards the gang. Emmet, Unikitty, Metalbeard and their version of Batman were watching Wyldstyle (otherwise known as Lucy) dance to the song Everything Is Awesome playing. After Wyldstyle finished by breakdancing, her friends cheered*
Metalbeard: Arr! It be Wyldstyle who jigged the best. *Puts down a golden trophy*
Unikitty: This... dance-off... was... *Jumps up to the screen, red with anger* FIIIIIXED! *Jumps back, now calm* Ahem. I mean, well done, Wyldstyle!
Wyldstyle: *Grabs the trophy enthusiastically* Yes! I mean, y'know, whatever. *Suddenly, Metalbeard was being lifted off the ground with the trophy* Ngh! Hey, wait! *Tries to pull her trophy down* That's mine! *A portal was sucking Metalbeard* Woah-ah-ah-ah! Oh!
Emmet: Woah! Wyldstyle! *Metalbeard's treasure chest levitated towards the rift too*
Wyldstyle: What? Wh- Wooooaaaahhh! *Falls on the ground as Metalbeard tried to grab his treasure*
Metalbeard: It be a kraken, I knew it! *He disappeared with his treasure, leaving the others dumbfounded*
Emmet: What the-?! Where'd Metalbeard go? *Another rift opened as Sanjo, Batman and Gandalf landed on the ground*
Batman: Agh! *He fell right on top of The LEGO Movie Batman's back and Sanjo on her feet*
TLM Batman: Oof!
Sanjo: Umph! *Wyldstyle looked very surprised upon the unexpected arrival as Batman and Gandalf get up*
Wyldstyle: Batman? Gandalf?! *The LEGO Movie Batman gets up from behind the other* (Puzzled) Batman? *Points to Sanjo* And who's this?
Sanjo: Name's Sanjo. I've heard all about you guys. *The LEGO Movie Batman faced the other one ahead of him*
TLM Batman: Ow! You landed on my back, man!
Batman: I'm Batman.
TLM Batman: No, I didn't say- Hey! I'm Batman!
Batman: I'm Batman.
TLM Batman: *Steps a bit closer* I'm Batman!
Batman: *Takes a few steps closer to him* I'M Batman!
TLM Batman: I'M BATMAN! *The two stared for a couple seconds (give or take) before breaking into a fight*
Gandalf: Oh, twins. I wonder if one of them is evil.
Sanjo: Nope, they're just two different versions of each other.
Unikitty: Where did you come from? And why are there two Batmans? Bat... men? Bat... mens?
Sanjo: Long story.
Batman: There aren't. *Flings a batarang in the air* There's only ONE Batman. I don't know who the stiff is. *Catches the batarang as the other him fell over*
TLM Batman: Hey!
Gandalf: Well, this is all wonderful. But I don't suppose you saw a young Halfling pass this way?
Sanjo: His name's Frodo Baggins. Have you seen him?
Emmet: Aaaand... What's a Halfling?
Wyldstyle: The only thing we saw was our friend Metalbeard getting dragged into a strange vortex.
Sanjo: Wait! We've seen those just recently.
Batman: I think it was some kind of dimensional rift... Where is it?
Emmet: It disappeared after it took him.
Wyldstyle: So, you didn't cause all that?
Sanjo: No, of course not. I can only shapeshift into lots of different animals when I think about it.
Wyldstyle: (Confused) You can do what?
Sanjo: Here, I'll show you. *Shapeshifts into her wolf form, taking her new friends by surprise*
Wyldstyle: Woah!
Emmet: Wow! Awesome!
Sanjo: Thanks! I get that a lot. *Changes back to her lion form*
Gandalf: You know, my dear, your abilities shall come in good use. Might I suggest we set out on a quest to find this, umm... "Rift" you say?
Unikitty: A quest?! Lemme go pack some rainbow colored LEGO bricks! *Leaves as Batman did a face palm*
Emmet: And I'll get my wrench! *Races off, following Unikitty*
Sanjo: Count me in, too.
Gandalf: Then together, we shall be the fellowship of the- *A rift opened directly beneath their feet, allowing them to fall into it*
Sanjo/Batman/Gandalf/Wyldstyle: Aaaaarrrrrr! *The rift closed*
TLM Batman: "Fellowship of the Aar!"? *Emmet and Unikitty return* That's a terrible name.
Emmet: Aw! They left without the whole gang?
Unikitty: Gang, shmang! They left without ME! *Turns red with anger* RRRRAAAAAARRGHHH! *Looks down, frustrated*
TLM Batman: That guy wasn't anything special. *Throws some batarangs into the air, only to receive a backfire* Ngh! *Then he tried using a grapple gun which failed as well, whereas the hook landed on his head, making him fall over* Oof! Dang it. *Emmet laughed at this before we cut to a rift tunnel with the main heroes*
Gandalf: We are at the strange beast's mercy and I do not trust where it is leading us. We must get out!
Batman: Agreed. I need your scanner.
Wyldstyle: Here. *Hands her scanner to him*
Sanjo: What are you trying to do, Batman?
Batman: If I can locate whatever's generating this rift, then I can disrupt it. *Places a bulb device onto Wyldstyle's scanner as it warbled and lit up*
Gandalf: Does that mean it worked?
Sanjo: Only one way to find out! *Another rift opens, leading them to another rift tunnel*
*Meanwhile, Romar, Octa, Otto and Fredryka were waiting for Sanjo to return. It was dark at Vorton, let alone some candlelights flickering to light the darkness. The toypad on the gateway glowed to get their attention. It went from purple on the left panel, white on the right panel, and bright blue on the center. After the sequence, Sanjo emerged from the gateway portal, along with Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle*
Sanjo: Hey, guys. I'm home.
Wyldstyle: You live here?
Sanjo: Yep. Ever since we got here.
Romar: There's one little problem. After we arrived to this dimension, some kind of force wiped something from our memories. There has to a way to trigger them so we can remember.
Gandalf: Who did this to you?
Octa: I wish we knew, but it happened so fast, we couldn't catch a glimpse of who or what might've caused the memory wipe. But at least we still know who we are.
Sanjo: She's got a point. Right now- *Her speech is cut off by the gateway shuddering unsteadily* Uh oh.
BOOM!
Everyone: Aaaahhh! *They were blasted backwards by the explosion of the gateway, scattering pieces and five objects sucked away in the process just like when Sanjo and her best friends arrived. The lights dimmed with red flashes*
Romar: Oh gosh... *Everyone got back on their feet*
Wyldstyle: Well, I don't quite know what you did. But we're still alive.
Gandalf: Are you sure?
Sanjo: Not again. *Looks left and right at the disassembled gateway*
Batman: What did you mean "not again"?
Sanjo: It's happened before.
Wyldstyle: How many times?
Romar: Only once. But we managed to rebuild it correctly.
Batman: This technology looks advanced... My guess? That gateway created the rift that brought us here.
Gandalf: Um, which gateway?
Batman: The one that exploded. Sanjo said it did last time.
Romar: We put it back together before, we'll do it again.
Gandalf: Hmm... Then perhaps...
Wyldstyle: We should rebuild it!
Sanjo: That's the spirit! We need to get all those pieces in order to reassemble the gateway. Luckily for us, we still have all the parts so we can begin.
Wyldstyle: Then let's get building!
*We see a montage of the gateway being put back together, piece by piece. The preteens and their multidimensional friends team up as they gather the parts until the gateway is correctly and successfully rebuilt. Now the vortex within it is glowing to indicate it was functioning properly, but still shuddering slightly*
Gateway keeper: Rerouting from backup power. All systems are go. Limited system functionality restored.
Wyldstyle: "Limited system functionality"? Am I gonna lose an arm if I go through that thing?
Octa: Probably. But at least we put it back together.
Batman: It does look saw some glowing parts get sucked in. They must've been important.
Fredryka: I think they are.
Gandalf: Well, it seems to be alive, at least. *Wyldstyle used her scanner to analyze the gateway*
Romar: That's a good thing.
Wyldstyle: My relic scanner's showing that there's definitely something through there. *The group thought about it for a moment*
Gandalf: Could it lead us to the missing pieces?
Batman: Could be.
Octa: Our missing memories?
Wyldstyle: Or Metalbeard?
Batman: Couldn't be. *Wyldstyle sighed with a shake of her head until everyone heard Metalbeard's yells through the gateway, making even the young animals' ears perk up*
Wyldstyle: That's Metalbeard, he's in trouble! Or he's happy. He uses "Arrgh!" for a lot of things. Either way, we have to find him!
Sanjo: Let's go, guys! *Her best friends started to follow, but Batman stopped them*
Batman: Stay here. We'll be right back.
Sanjo: Oh come on, Batman. You let us all come last time!
Batman: Not this time, Sanjo.
Wyldstyle: Hey, if she wants to help, let her come.
Romar: Well, if only one of us is allowed to go, it's definitely Sanjo!
Batman: No.
Sanjo: *Walks up to him while doing the please smile Simba and Nala did as cubs* Please?
Batman: *Sighs* Fine, you can come.
Fredryka: It's alright, we can help you while you're out there.
Gandalf: A fair choice, young lady.
Sanjo: Then there's no time to lose!
Batman: Come on. *Jumps into the portal first, followed by Sanjo, Gandalf and Wyldstyle as we pan into the gateway portal, then the screen darkens after briefly lighting up*
