A/N: Shadow of the Erdtree has me by the throat, and it doesn't want to let go. Send help.
Currently grinding bosses and lore to get a better understanding of things. Anything I tried to write now, distracted as I am between this and work would be paltry at best.
Unacceptable! I need to do better than that, even with what little time I have these days. Welcome to Heaven, Embers of Hope, and all my other stories deserve better than that.
That said, can anyone see this? Review if you can. We STILL have no site notifications over here on my end since they broke again; its been affecting everything and ruining my drive to write. I'm sorry. Between that and life, I just can't update properly as of late.
So here we go. The fate of this story depends on you, the reader. Your feedback determines the fate of this tale, and many others.
As ever, I own no quotes, references, themes or memes. Not a wit or one. They're tributes, one and all.
I'm just a humble author trying to make his way in this wild world, one word at a time.
Time and feedback will determine if this remains a story. Simple as that.
In other words...its up to YOU, the reader. Do let me know~!
Spoilers for Shadow of the Erdtree; vague as they are.
Seriously! ACTUAL SPOILERS!
Consider this a teaser for an upcoming chapter of Dear Consort Eternal:
"What did I tell you about abusing those powers of yours?"
~?
Father Knows Best
"Honestly, I leave you be for a year or two and this is what you get up to?!"
"Father, please. I can explain."
"I'm sure you can." Much to his Miquella's great shame, his sire kept walking with him slung over his shoulder like some burlap sack. "You can explain yourself once I bring you home. I'm sure your Mother and your Sisters and your Brothers will love to hear all about this."
He stilled.
...does that include Melina and Reyna?"
Father smiled. His was not a pleasant smile. "It does indeed."
His son paused, then redoubled his struggles. "Malenia is one thing, but they won't understand!"
"No, I don't think your little sisters will. You'll have to do a fair bit of begging and bribing them with treats. But that's what you've been doing lately, haven't you?" his voice was rife with reproach. "What did I tell you about abusing those bewitching branches of yours. If you want friends just talk to people; don't charm them."
"You don't understaaaaand...
"Don't whine. Its befitting of a demigod."
Shamefaced, he thumbed his back, to no avail. Father was inexorable, inevitable, invincible, and they steadily made their way to the exit.
It didn't mean he had to like it!
In vain, he cast about for a new subject. "You're not treating Messmer this way!"
"You're right, I'm not." Naruto actually paused at that and glanced over his shoulder. "I've already beaten you twice in this twisted place. Care for round three?"
The Impaler fervently shook his head fervently. Miquella couldn't help but notice just how bruised said face was. Traitor!
"Good Boy." Naruto patted his head. "The girls will be delighted to know they have a big brother...
Messmer perked. "I still have kin in the outside world?"
"You do indeed! They'll be eager to meet you."
His face softened. "I...would like that."
Miquella huffed indignantly.
Worse. Day. Ever.
A/N: For him, at least. For you, dear reader, I hope you have a good one!
No previews this time. I'm exhausted. Aaaand there we go. As ever, reviews keep me alive. Without them, I cannot write.
So...in the Immortal Words of Atlas...Review...Would You Kindly?
Hope you enjoyed this, and may your day be filled with lots of luck!
Warm regards,
~Nz.
