Part 8

It was just after nine that night when Caitlin walked through Central City airport. It had been hard to leave Beacon Hills knowing that she couldn't stop Peter from going through with his plan for revenge. Not that she didn't agree that those responsible for the fire that killed nearly the whole Hale family shouldn't pay. She just didn't want to do it Peter's way. She truly believed what Talia taught her. Just because she was a predator that didn't mean she had to be a killer. As she headed out of the terminal, she caught the sound of a voice that sent a chill through her body. Someone that if he found her would have no problem with stringing her up like a Christmas goose and slicing her in half with his sword. Keeping her distance she followed the sound of the voice until she saw him. She followed him while staying close enough to listen in on his side of the phone call he was on.

"Sweetie, head to Beacon Hills and help your brother with that Alpha. I have some business to take care of in Central City and Keystone City. I hear there may be an Omega one of the last of the Hale pack in the area. Once I take care of them and any others, I may head there myself. Love you, Kate."

Caitlin fought the urge to growl. There was no way she was going to let a psychopath like Gerard Argent kill her or anyone else in Central City. Once she was in her car, she pulled out her phone and called the local Alpha. Even if she was not her Alpha.

"Andrea, it's Caitlin. Let me know when we can meet and I will fill you in on what I learned in Beacon Hills. In the meantime tell your pack to lay low. Gerard Argent is in town and ready to declare war on any wolf he can find."

She ended the call and made a more pleasant call.

"Hey I'm back in town. Come by my place around noon for lunch. Bring Cisco. I will tell you what I have been keeping from you, and how I know your secret."

"I missed you, Cait. Can't I come by tonight?"

"Barry, I am not up to it tonight. But I promise that I will give you answers tomorrow. I love you."

"Love you, Cait."

Half an hour later Caitlin walked into the apartment she shared with her sister. She found her twin laying on the couch watching the 2009 version of Friday the 13th.

"How can you watch that?" asked Caity

"It's not like I am watching An American Werewolf in London. So you find out how Laura died?" asked Crystal

"Yeah, she was killed by a werewolf so they could steal her Alpha spark."

"Do you know who it is?"

"Yes, unfortunately I can't tell Derek. First, he won't believe me without proof. Second, I tell and the Alpha will go after Lydia and Aunt Natalie."

"Tell me and I will go freeze their claws off."

"Actually he is scared of you. But then again you scared him when we were kids too."

"It's Peter, isn't it? Let me go and freeze his claws off. A wolf without claws isn't much of a wolf."

"Crystal, let me handle Peter Hale. There is a bigger problem here in Central City. Gerard is here."

"Gerard as in the psychopath with a broad sword as I believe Talia had been known to refer to him as?"

"Yes, and I am at the top of his list to slice in half if he can find me."

"Did you send out a warning to Andrea?"

"Yes. I left her a message. She wants me to fill her in on what I know about what is going on in Beacon Hills."

"What is Peter up to?"

"Well for one he bit this boy Lydia's age to try and start his pack. He didn't ask the kid. Scott had no clue about the supernatural world until now. He didn't want the bite. He has this friend that is going to help him to learn to control his new abilities. Derek is the same ass he has been since Paige died. But hopefully he will help Scott too."

"You know during the full moon in a couple weeks we could have Barry go whoosh him to the secret meta prison in the basement of Star Labs. Pretty sure one of those meta cell can hold a werewolf."

"Especially if mountain ash is placed around the base of the cell."

"Caity, on a serious note. Do you know what you are going to do about Peter?"

"Not really. I want him to stop killing. But that is not going to happen. He has always played by his own rules. Talia could barely keep him under control."

"You could always call up Oliver and have him shoot him full of arrows."

"If that is what I was going to do. Then after I find the evidence, I would just hand it over to Chris Argent who is already in Beacon Hills. But that is not how it works. Derek and I have our own right to get revenge on Peter for killing Laura."

"You aren't a killer. You would only kill in self-defense."

"That is not exactly true. I nearly killed someone once a few days before the fire that killed the Hales. It was a pedophile and child killer. Chris stopped me before I ripped him to shreds. He shot me in the leg with an arrow. But he let me go. He understood why I wanted to give in to my wolf side. He has a daughter that was in the age range of the girls the pedophile liked. He told me to go and he would make sure the police got the guy."

"Why did he let you go?"

"Because he follows his family's code. Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent."

"Sorry I didn't take French. Don't know what that means."

"It translates to We hunt those who hunt us. I still have gold eyes and was sixteen. Still a kid to him. I was still innocent of spilling human blood. So following the code he had to let me go."

"I would have frozen that monster to death for going after those kids."

"I know you would have. But be careful. I don't trust Gerard not to go after you."

"Caity, I can handle the old man. He can't handle someone like me."

"Doesn't mean that he won't try and kill you."

"Yeah, well it is a good thing we have the Flash on speed dial."

"That reminds me. I told him to bring Cisco for lunch at noon tomorrow."

"So you need me around help demonstrate how to use mountain ash to keep super naturals away from them."

"Yes. I can't use it."

"Good you picked noon. I hate getting up early."

"I know you do. How much alcohol do we have? I got a feeling that Cisco is going to need a drink or five after he hears what I am going to tell them."

"There is a 12 pack of beer in the fridge and vodka in the cupboard. Plus a couple bottles of wine."

"That will hopefully be enough. Barry and I no matter how much we drink won't be affected."

"Neither am I much. But it's takes a lot more then what we have."

"Good to know. I am going to bed."

Caitlin hugged her sister and headed into her room. Her phone beeped signaling a text message.
