Volume 2 Issue 1: Destiny Approaches

Titan, Death Zone. (8 Days Since the Convergence)

Everything is dead. Here, in the Death Zone. A dead and powerless dimension that mirrors the original Nexus Universe. This was once a peaceful universe, until a Mad Titan killed its heart with a Stone that controls the Stars. Everything here, from planets to oceans, is monochrome. No color. No life. Except for one. The colorful Mad Titan that destroyed this reality in the first place. Using the dead variant of his home moon, Titan, as his headquarters in his quest to destroy all life throughout the multiverse. The Titanian Eternal sits on his throne with a brooding expression on his face. Contemplating the events that led to this day.

'I experienced a harsh reality last week. The universe was broken, and only I knew how to fix it,' The Mad Titan begins to reminisce. Recalling when he and his forces were caught by the Genesis Convergium Wave. Or more simply known as The Convergence, 'I have lived my entire life spreading death to appease her, but never in this format,' Then he recalls the day he witnessed Galactus consume a merged planet that had the robotic Metarex and the demonic Grimm warring with each other, 'A Convergence of Worlds that rooted out the inadequate and grew new branches of chaos,' He recalls himself looking at his Exo Gauntlet to find no Stone on it, 'My forces were put in disarray and my Star Stone went missing. Fate turned against me,' He thinks about the suspects that had delayed his plans. The Dimensional Avengers and the Masters of Evil, 'I was opposed by deplorable bands of so-called 'heroes' and 'villains'. Like insolent children, my enemies believed they could escape from my grasp,' Those thoughts are then replaced with a single, frightening image of the Mad Titan himself, 'But it's a matter of time until Thanos turns the tide and becomes their worst nightmare.'

Eight Days Ago…

BGM-Metroid Prime 2: Echoes OST-Dark Samus Appears!

"I am still baffled by what happened. Three universes merged together." said Dark Oak. Alien Leader of the Metarex and the Cybernetic Warmaster of the Black Order.

Hours have passed since the Black Order survived the Convergence. What it had done to their armies was infuriating. A third of them were annihilated by the merging of worlds. Dark Oak is in the Death Zone, overseeing the rebuilding of their resources and space fleet on Titan with a fellow Black Order member by his side. A creepy alien outfitted in black, which includes his battle pants and hood, saying, "It was a shock to us all. And just when we were ready for the siege. What poor timing."

"Tell me, Corvus Glaive, where did this chaos originate from that dared to disrupt the order of my home dimension?" Dark Oak questioned his teammate. Corvus Glaive. Thanos's Black Tactician.

"In a pocket dimension adjacent to the planet formerly known as System 616 Alpha in the Nexus Universe." Corvus Glaive answered, projecting a hologram of Earth after taking down his hood.

"Earth. The humans thought they could hide their crimes and stop us from claiming the Exo Stones." Dark Oak said coldly.

"Only their power can cause this mess. All the more reason for us to make haste and restore our own power to deliver punishment," The snarling Corvus begins walking away that prompts his robotic teammate to follow, "I sent the rest of the Black Order across this merged universe to rebuild our forces, with the additional hope that they will find Master's displaced Star Stone. The Murakumo Unit we have stationed in the Human World will do what she can to weaken their defenses by the time of our arrival."

The two Black Generals arrive at Thanos's throne area, where they give their formal respects to the Obsidian King sitting next to his adopted cybernetic daughter, Nebula. "Got one back." Nebula told the generals, informing them of the return of one of their foot soldiers. An Outrider, kneeling before their glory. Outriders are not born, they are made. A genetically engineered parasite-assassin solely devoted to the whims of its maker. These creatures have no names, just a binary existence defined by whether they complete the task given to them, or whether they fail. This particular Outrider brings a word.

"Success." The Outrider announced to the Black Order of a successful, yet mysterious mission.

"Where?" Corvus asked the minion of where it has been.

"Xandar. It has merged with Planet Green Gate of Commander Dark Oak's Dimension. They have renamed it to Xandgate." The Outrider reported.

"Is the woman known as Earthia taking refuge there?" Dark Oak questioned a curious question.

"Yes." The Outrider replied, piquing the Metarex Leader's cold interest.

"Shall we take their Planet Egg, Father?" Nebula asked, turning to him for approval.

Thanos just gives them a silent finger gesture. Approving this task for the trio to complete. "We will leave immediately." Dark Oak acknowledged.

"Look at me, Outrider," Corvus ordered, in which he watches it comply to his command, "It seems that you have succeeded once again. HE is pleased, but only for the moment…as the task you were created for remains unfinished. One remains. Will you rise and find his favor one last time?

"Yesssss." The Outrider hissed.

"Then go. Make known that which dares to remain hidden. Find us another world to raze." Corvus commanded, prompting the creature to head for its little spaceship and take flight. Opening a dimensional portal that will lead it to its final destiny.

Later. Xandgate.

BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite OST-Nova Theme

Xandgate. One of the many merged planets in this united universe. Born from the fusion between Xandar of the Nexus Universe and Green Gate of Sonic's Universe, this world has the perfect balance between the technological and the natural. Xandgate is a thriving planet with a socially liberal population that includes Xandarians and alien humanoids with plant features that like to be nicknamed Seedrians. Xandgate is also the headquarters of the Nova Corps, an intergalactic police force that are the best in maintaining universal peace. The man in charge of this Corp is Nova Prime. A galactic good guy from Earth that his friends also know him as Richard Rider.

"Thank you again for allowing my people to stay here, Nova Prime," said a beautiful cyan-haired Seedrian dressed in white and has a red amulet on her chest. Her name is Earthia. Leader of the Seedrians that have settled on this merged planet after their original homeworld was destroyed by war and traitors.

"Don't mention it, Earthia." Nova Prime replied, both leaders exiting Nova Corps HQ for a little walk through their new world. "Part of this world was once yours after all. Still trying to figure out how all this happened. Everything was normal 'til I found your ship crash-landing on this planet shortly after our universes collided. Nova Corps is spread thin trying to keep things in order, but it's clear we're dealing with an unprecedented cosmic force." He frowned, wondering how the Convergence happened.

"During my travels in space, I have heard rumors that my world's enemies, the Metarex, have sworn allegiance to a greater threat from another world. Perhaps this being is responsible for this Convergence." Earthia informed.

"Tell me more about 'em. Like during lunch. I'm assuming you're vegetarian?" Nova flirted.

Earthia giggles, "Wish my husband is as nice as you."

"Thanks for making me feel awkward." Nova retorted, rubbing the back of his embarrassed golden helmet.

Their friendly little conversation is cut short when they feel the capital city coming under attack by an incredible force. One that bypassed all security defenses thanks to a certain Outrider acquiring their secrets beforehand. "What the-? What was that?" Nova exclaims his surprise by this sudden attack.

Outriders are swarming the city. When they aren't commanded to be infiltrators, their insatiable bloodlust makes them the most terrifying and ferocious creatures to ever claw their way into a battlefield. Nova Corpsmen can tap into the Nova Force, a source of near-limitless cosmic power. Even with that they are struggling to kill the four-armed creatures. "Perimeter's been breached!" A Nova Corpsman said whilst killing some Outriders. Right before being killed himself by laser bombardments that further damage the city.

Civilians are fleeing for shelter. One of them being a teal-haired Seedrian that is running toward Earthia and Nova Prime in a panic. "Mother! It's them! He's here-!" The Seedrian said, before Nebula emerges from smoke to stomp the child to the ground.

"GALAXINA!" Earthia yelled in horror.

Nebula kicks the unconscious Galaxina to her mother to leave room for the arrival of her two comrades: Corvus Glaive and Dark Oak. "Long time no see, Earthia." Dark Oak greeted her coldly, implying that he is an old enemy of Earthia.

"You…Look at what you've done! Even in this reality, you haven't changed!" Earthia snarled, tending to her near-dead daughter.

"Take it he's one of the Metarex? Who's ugly between you and Nebula?" Nova Prime asked, already familiar with Thanos's daughter.

"I am Corvus Glaive, and my partner here is the leader of the Metarex, Dark Oak. Together, we are two of the Black Order. And we desire tribute." Corvus Glaive announced.

"What do you want?" Nova scowled.

"Surrender to us this world's Planet Egg and we will leave you in peace. Refuse and we will take it by force, along with every life on this planet." Corvus proposed.

"First you gotta tell me what a Planet Egg is." Nova snarked.

"It is the lifeforce of a planet in crystallized form. Removing it will cause all natural life to cease existing." Earthia explained to her new friend.

"So either option leaves Xandgate dead. Got it," Nova acknowledged, "Nova Corps, light 'em up!"

Rider calls in a squadron of Nova Corpsmen to scorch their enemies with a relentless bombardment from their Nova Beams. The Black Order aren't intimidated in the slightest, as they are the most powerful warriors in the multiverse. Corvus deflects their beams with a glaive so sharp that it is capable of splitting atoms, and he does this with so little effort that it's child play. Nebula wields electroshock batons that she uses for a leaping, sudden strike that kills the Corpsmen before they could blink an eye. Nova Prime has seen enough death for today and decides to take on the Black Order himself, blasting back both Nebula and Corvus before taking his clash with Dark Oak to the sky. There is a flash of light followed by explosions that fill the airspace. That is the power of the Nova Force giving the Metarex Leader a decent challenge. The two seem evenly matched until Dark Oak draws out his large golden sword. The respective leaders of Nova Corps and the Metarex charge at each other, colliding in a bright light that quickly dims for Earthia to see Nova crashing down through several buildings.

"Nova Prime!" Earthia shouted, distracting herself from the terrifying silhouette that is Dark Oak appearing behind her. She realizes his presence too late as her body is pierced by his blade. Bringing her to the gates of death.

"Abandoning our world just to hide with the animals that ruined it. A traitor to the very end, Earthia." Dark Oak mocked his dying nemesis.

"You are the traitor…Allowed pride to destroy our home planet and become a…slave to a darker evil…" Earthia grunted, struggling to speak with the life that is fading from her.

"Unlike you, Thanos respects my resolve. All dimensions will soon be free from the cancer of lifeforms." Dark Oak retorted coldly.

Nova Prime was nearby to hear their little chat. He too is gravely injured as he's lying on the ground with a collapsed building pinning him down by the lower torso. "Thanos…?" Nova noted, before succumbing to his wounds and passing out.

"You will…never…bring peace…" Earthia taunted him to the bitter end. Succumbing to her own wounds that leaves her dead on Oak's sword.

Her taunt did not faze or anger Dark Oak at all while throwing her corpse aside like trash. It is time for their conquest of Xandgate to be made known to this Crossverse. Using his onboard technology, Dark Oak exerts great calming power that eventually extracts the Planet Egg out of the planet. With the Planet Egg in hand, life worldwide begins dying out. And under their control, the Black Order can command the Planet Egg to further devastate the planet. Erupting a swath of massive vines covered in parasitic flowers from underground to ensnare Xandgate in its entirety. Leaving the planet and most of its inhabitants dead. A taste of what awaits the rest of the multiverse.

"Success, Master. The Planet Egg of Xandgate is yours." Corvus Glaive announced upon his team's return, allowing Dark Oak the honor of handing him his prize.

"And what of your revenge?" Thanos asked the Metarex Leader about Earthia.

"Partially fulfilled. I cannot rest until all beasts are eradicated so all worlds can know true order and peace. To that end, I will gladly serve you." Dark Oak responded.

"Excellent." Thanos said with a satisfied smile. "Retrieve more Planet Eggs to restrengthen our forces. Along with other sources of great power that this Fusion produced. I can feel something unique about that dimension. We will renew our invasion of the Nexus Planet in a week's time." He ordered them.

"We will not fail you, Father." Nebula kneeled, vowing to fulfill her father's goal of destroying all life.

Shortly After…

"That's right. Your little stunt bought your world another week so you better not waste it." said Nebula, speaking to a mysterious ally through an encrypted communication device within a private ruined building on Titan.

'Acknowledged. Continue fooling the Titan by following his commands. When the time is right, you will have your revenge.' Doctor Doom's voice is heard through the communicator. Revealing himself as Nebula's true master while she works as a spy within the Black Order.

"I will make Thanos pay for everything he's done to me." Nebula scowled, vowing to destroy her adoptive father for all the torture and mistreatment he gave her for years.

The Unified World.

BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-Black Suit Theme #3

The Outrider that did recon on Xandgate has made its way to the Unified World unseen. Its spacecraft cloaks itself upon entering the atmosphere to avoid alerting all heroes and military that survived the merging of their worlds. Upon emerging from its vehicle, the Outrider hunts. Hunting for what is hidden. All secrets will be found. And the world will pay the tribute. Or it will burn.

Like all of Thanos's creatures, Outriders are killers and cutthroats. Able to phase through walls, break gravity and become shadow. An Outrider makes a formidable assassin. But the creature's true talent, its actual purpose, is the gathering of hidden information. An Outrider collects secrets. And given time, it will find them. That is how the Outrider has been spending the next eight days in the Unified World. Spying on the humans to learn all it can about them for the inevitable invasion. Their strengths. Their weaknesses. Their Superheroes. Freedom Fighters. And Huntsmen. It can read the minds of anyone by sinking its hands into the victim's temple. Which it has done to unfortunate Wakandans, Latverians, and Solkarians. The Outrider has been present for all of this world's most important events thus far: The Kingpin's downfall. The Battle of Fort Stryker. Hell at Houston. And the war with the Iron Hydra Empire. In just a few short days, the Outrider knows more about this Unified World than all of its inhabitants combined. It just needs to uncover a few more secrets before completing its mission.

The last of the secrets rests aboard the S.T.R.I.K.E. Command Tricarrier above the nightly clouds. Specifically in the mind of its fearless director, Nick Fury. The STRIKE Commander is taking a break from directing his interdimensional task force and was found sleeping in his private quarters by the invisible Outrider. "Now, STRIKE Commander, give me what I seek. All of them." The Outrider muttered before reading his mind. The alien reconnoiterer goes through Fury's memories to find anything his master can exploit against the humans. It discovers when STRIKE was first proposed by Fury to Ironwood and Tower. And that time the three of them uncovered Thanos's involvement in this Multiversal War but has kept it a secret from everyone. "You know about us yet hide us from your allies. What else is hidden?" The Outrider commented. It learns of the Chaos Emeralds from him. The Universe Tree supporting the Unified World alongside the six other Cross Worlds: Archanea, Skyworld, Arcadia, Makai, Sol Dimension, and Azure Earth. And most importantly, the two teams that have secured their own collection of the eight Exo Stones. The Dimensional Avengers and the Masters of Evil. It wants to dive deeper. Steal more secrets. Only to be interrupted by the surprise presence of Nick Fury in his own mind.

'Get out of my mind.' Fury threatened with a cold stare.

BGM-Spider-Man: Web of Shadows OST-S.H.I.E.L.D. (Red Suit)

Awakened by this intrusion, Fury punches the Outrider out of his mind and off his bed. He grabs his emergency gun for some shooting action, scaring the injured Outrider out of his room, prompting the SHIELD Director to slam his fist on an alarm that alerts the entire Tricarrier of the intruder.

"We have an intruder!" General James Ironwood remarked, hearing the alarm alongside Commander Abrham Tower in a corridor.

The two STRIKE Commanders spot the Outrider fleeing behind them and whip out their own guns to try and stop it from escaping the ship. It turns into smoke to phase through their bullets and uses its claws to kill any agent trying to block its exit. "He's escaping!" Tower shouted, with he and Ironwood chasing the infiltrator out to the flight deck. The Outrider was nearly successful in its escape until it was hit by a RPG from Nick Fury, causing it to fly off the Tricarrier with a blown-up arm.

"ARRRRRREEIIIIII!" The Outrider screamed. Until it crashes onto its invisible ship and retreats into space with the secrets of the Crossverse.

"What happened?" Tower asked, looking at Fury.

"I've been compromised," Fury answered, "That thing was looking inside my head for our weaknesses. It got away with some."

"Recon. Probably for days its been here. You know what this means right?" Ironwood remarked sternly.

"Thanos is coming." Fury glared, realizing the Mad Titan is getting ready to invade the Unified World. Unaware of Rouge the Bat hiding in the shadows eavesdropping on their secretive conversation.

Present Day, in the Death Zone…

BGM-Transformers: Devastation OST-Operation Obliteration

The Outrider's ship crash-lands on Titan from a dimensional rift after fleeing the Unified World. Two soldiers, a robotic Metarex Trooper and a cybernetic Chitauri warrior, rush to help their injured comrade. "Bad omen. Crashing down on the dead moon of this dead dimension." Metarex Trooper said, watching his partner pull the Outrider out of its destroyed ship.

"Phow," The Chitauri Warrior uttered, "Look at this. It's all spoiled and missing parts." The two soldiers then drag their reconnoiterer along the rocky terrain of this ruined planet, as the Chitauri continue talking, "Rotten. Dying. Not long for the living. Omen stands. Outrider's right where he should be."

"Come on then, best hurry…" The Metarex Trooper told him.

"Everyone be waiting." The Chitauri said, throwing the Outrider to the throne area where their massive army has gathered. An army consisting of Metarex Troopers, Chitauri, and more Outriders from across the multiverse.

"Suc…Success." The Injured Outrider reported to its masters. Them being Corvus Glaive and the Black Order.

"Yes, creature. So you signaled on your return. And your message was not ignored. Look up, as there is not one dreadlord here, but all seven. The Black Order has assembled." Corvus says as he begins announcing the Warlords of Thanos. The Seven Dreadlords that also go by the names of Cull Obsidian and the Midnight Slaughter.

"Proxima Midnight," Corvus calls out his wife. The master combatant that is also the cruelest. "Black Dwarf," He calls out his brother. The unbreakable powerhouse that is at peace with the oblivion his master seeks. "Ebony Maw," He calls out the thinker. A master manipulator that is perhaps the most dangerous of them all. "Supergiant," He calls out the omnipath. A telepathic parasite that literally hungers for intellect. "Dark Oak," He calls out the cyborg. The blackhearted Metarex Leader that despises all animal life. "Nu-13," He calls out their pawn. A young girl that is being used as Thanos's Sword of Izanami. "You are also in the presence of Master's daughter and advisor, Nebula and Mephisto." He also announces the presence of the pirate and devil respectively standing beside the Mad Titan. "Now tell us…Where?" Corvus interrogated the injured Outrider.

"Avengers Mansion and Castle Doom. Five and two. The Human Planet. The…The Dimensional Avengers and the…Masters of Evil…They hide what Thanos seeks." The Outrider answered through its pain.

"So be it. You have done well, Outrider. Earned your reward. If you wish, you may have it now." Corvus said with a malicious smile.

"I do wish it." The Outrider replied.

"Then a gift. Approval from your god." Corvus acknowledged. Giving his minion its ultimate reward for a job well done. Death.

"Our full might has been restored just in time. Shall we begin with a preemptive strike, Master?" Dark Oak asked his master.

"Yes. Target the mansion first. And keep a look out for the Star Stone. It will arrive on that world soon." Thanos ordered.

"At once." Dark Oak replied.

"Another Earth for us to destroy." A Chitauri said eagerly within the gathered forces.

"But this one is different. This one has Freedom Fighters and Huntsmen along with superheroes." An Outrider retorted.

"Our very best of plans might fail and fade." A Metarex Trooper expresses his concerns.

"Yes…We all know of the Convergence," Corvus said aloud, giving his forces an inspiring rallying speech, "Of how it has changed the Nexus World. But this…This is an Earth more favorable than accustomed. Like other planets, this one has seen a third of its people crushed by the collision of dimensions. We have word of discord caused by a mass supervillain breakout, heroes exhausted from facing their worst nightmares. Their S.T.R.I.K.E. force unaware of their true enemy and a surviving Starling that won't anticipate our new strategies," With a foreboding smile, he says, "And now the most favorable news of all…Brothers. Sisters. The humans meddled with forces they could not even possibly comprehend. They have angered a god," as he points at the Mad Titan standing up from his throne, "HE is that god. He…Lord Thanos! And now, because of this great insolence, the FATE OF ALL WORLDS hangs in the balance!" He announced, causing his massive army to cheer in great eagerness for the incoming invasion that will rip the Crossverse asunder. But most importantly. His speech made Thanos smile.

BGM-Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OST-Gallery

KFX Here: Volume 2 begins, just in time for the new year. The purpose of this opening chapter is to give insight on what Thanos has been doing since the Convergence. Took him a while but his army is now ready to invade the Unified World for the greatest war ever in the multiverse. Volume 2 should be shorter than Volume 1 but it will tons more epic. Lots of fanservice. Lots of surprises. It is time for the Exo War!

Merged Locations:

- Xandgate: Xandar (Marvel) Green Gate (Sonic X)

Braewriter of Rewriting: I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am NEVER adapting One More Day. Mephisto just knows that Spider-Man will play a key role in this war with Thanos.

SuperJoeyF721: Overall, I'm indifferent to the rewritten script in Sonic Generations. The problem with the new script isn't the script itself but the poor voice direction and animations not matching up to what the characters are saying, such as Classic Sonic thinking he ate Angel Island.

Nathan Ramos: Why would I bring Miles Morales here? He's not introduced until the Spider-Verse Saga, which was back in 2019.

Guest (Chapter 39): I'll adapt Shadow Generations when I do the King in Black Saga several years from now. No plans to adapt the Metal Virus story right now.

Next Time: Undoing the Unified World? The Destruction of Avengers Mansion!

Please leave a review that'll tell me what you thought of this chapter! What did you like? What didn't you like? Would really appreciate the feedback.
