Chapter Three. They Begin To Know Each Other More About One Another.

She was still pointing her wand at the Doctor. She was being cautious of coarse. Her instincts were kicking in. Avalon has no idea what he meant by the word 'TARDIS.' "I have no clue as to what you just said about this place here that's filled with gadgets and machines. And I have never seen any thing like it before. And please explain that to me who ever you are." She said with determination. The Twelfth Doctor still just could not take his blue eyes off of her golden eyes. She was indeed unique to him.

He knew by the tone of the witch's voice that there was no point of arguing. The Twelfth Doctor raised his eye brows and he nodded his head. He knew that this witch was a tough cookie right there. He looked up from the controls and gazed over at her and he held up his hands that he has never meant no harm her in any way. "Now, madam, I saved your life out there after you lost consciousness. And your magnificent creature of your bird here." He said when he gestured Ava to her Phoenix. "Your bird and I have been looking after you while you were resting." He added.

The Doctor pointed his finger in between him self and Fawkes. And he knew that the witch was being cautious about him. That he under stood with her meeting new people and she had to be on her guard. So, Avalon slowly lowered her wand to her side. She sighed and she calmed down a little bit there. "Even though, you saved my life. And I thank you for it." She said with soft smile and the nod of her head towards him with gratitude. And he responded back to her the very same way as she had just a moment ago.

The Twelfth Doctor chuckled softly. "You are very welcome, madam." He told her in gratitude. He is such a gentle man towards Avalon. "And your curiosity of the question is yes. You are in side the time machine. In which it is called the 'TARDIS.' It's fascinating really." He said when he gave her a loving smiled and he giggled at the reaction of the surprised look on her face.

Avalon quickly composed her self and her eye brows furrowed with wonder. "Okay. So, it's a time machine you say that this is?" She asked him and he told that it was and she saw him nodded his head and he told her yes to her to confirm it. She knew that he was telling the truth. "But even though, I have this gut feeling that this." She said when she let go of the railing for a moment and she was leaning on it and she was gesturing the whole big area room surrounding her with her left hand when she looked up. "'TARDIS' has a meaning to all of this." She added.

She was used to the old fashioned things that are in the Wizarding World that the witches and wizards are used to have. But never she had seen the TARDIS that she has seen now and she was now in side of it with the Doctor at this very moment.

She had never seen any thing like this before in her whole thirty six years of her whole life. From being born all up until her age now. The Doctor was more than glad to answer to her main question as to what this machine is. "The abbreviation to the TARDIS is, Time and Relative Dimension in Space is what it meant, madam." He said to her. The witch placed her left hand back on to the rail for support.

Ava walked a round the railing carefully while her left hand was on there. And she sensed that this man or what ever this man is to her is a good man. And she was still a little weak from her magic depletion. But even though, she was getting better by the minute and her magic was climbing up slowly, but surely. She still had her wand in to her hand. Avalon now was leaning her back on to the railing for support some more. Fawkes was watching his mistress before he flew over and he landed on to her shoulder.

The witch looked up and she petted her bird on his chest gently. Ava knew that the Twelfth Doctor had still never answered her question as to who he was. But He did tell her about what this TARDIS is. "Though, sir. You never answered my question as to who you are." She said with a soft smirk and Fawkes looked over at the Doctor with his curiosity by cocking his head from side to side. The Phoenix under stood every word that his mistress was telling him. Or even when she was speaking with some one while he was on to her shoulder, listening to what they say.

The Twelfth Doctor realized that he had forgotten to answer her first part of the question after she woke up from her rest. "Oh, how care less of me. Where are my manners." He said with a soft laugh. "I am the Doctor, madam. And if I may ask you if you do not mind saying is who are you?" He asked her softly when he pointed his finger gently towards over at her.

Avalon raised her eye brows were all the way up to her hair line with interest. "You are the Doctor of this time machine." She said with the nod of her head. The Twelfth Doctor slowly walked over to where Ava was standing at the railing. And he looked down at her. She could see that his blue eyes are very soft. She sensed that this man was indeed a very good man. "And my name is Avalon Phoenix Dumbledore, Doctor. And it's a pleasure to meet you." She introduced her self to him and they both shook their hands in greeting.

She looked up at her bird. The Doctor looked at the Phoenix. "And this is Fawkes. He's a Phoenix and they are my family heirloom for generations." She said. Ava raised her eye brows and she looked at him straight in to his blue eyes as when he was looking straight in to her beautiful golden eyes. "I'm pretty sure that you have heard about the Phoenix before in stories, Doctor. Have you?" She asked him when she cocked her head to one side with curiosity. She was wondering if the Doctor ever did hear about such a bird before in his life time.

The both of the witch and the Twelfth Doctor are beginning to know each other even better and better the more they ask one another about what and who they are. All they had to do was ask.

The Doctor gave Ava a tender smile and he nodded his head. "I have heard of the Phoenix with in the story books and legends. Such as your magnificent creature there, Miss Dumbledore." He said softly when he pointed his finger gently at Fawkes. Avalon liked it when the Twelfth Doctor calls Fawkes the magnificent creature. It was because he is a magnificent creature indeed. "So, tell me about your self, Miss Dumbledore." He said and he wanted to know more about her and her use of magic.

Ava was more than glad to tell him. She was just about to walk over to where the chair was at. And the Twelfth Doctor rushed over to help her by wrapping his arm a round her waist and he took a hold of her hand in to his when he was helping her to walk over to the chair. Fawkes flew off of her shoulder and he landed on to the railing so, he can be right near her when she needs help. She was still a little weak, but she was feeling more better my the moment. Her magic was coming more and more back in to her system. The Doctor helped her sit down in to the chair.

She said her thanks to him before she started speaking. "Well, Doctor, it's actually a pretty long story to tell about what I am and who my family is." She said to him when she gave him a loving smile and a soft chuckle.

The Twelfth Doctor looked her in to her eyes and he raised his eye brows up and he shrugged his shoulders. "So, tell me any way. I love to hear stories. Especially the long ones. They interest me. Especially yours." He said and he was all right with it all the way. Just as long as she was okay with it as well. The Doctor loved to hear long stories from others. Especially from Ava her self. He could tell that she had been through a whole lot in her life. And the Twelfth Doctor could see that. And he under stood her pretty well.

Avalon smiled tenderly and she started telling her long story. "I was born in nineteen eighty. My parents were Albert and Evangeline Dumbledore." She said when the Doctor nodded in under standing her. She continued. "My mother's maiden name was Drake." She said. At her words, the Twelfth Doctor's eye brows raised up all the way to his hair line in total interest at what she just told him. "My parents were killed by the Death Eaters." She added. His eye brows furrowed with curiosity as to what the Death Eaters were. So, She explained it to him as to what they are.

She continued to tell him some more. "I'm a Half Blood witch. My mother was a shape shifter of a Ukranian Horntail dragon that was black and brown. And I'm a shape shifter of a Phoenix dragon my self. And I take it after her. It runs in the family." She told him. The Doctor's eyes were wide with total amazement and surprise at what she just told him. "I went to both a Wizarding school called Ilvermorney and Hogwarts." She said and the Doctor looked at her and he wanted to hear more of the Wizarding schools that she went to.

She smiled lovingly at him. "I went to Ilvermorney. That is in the Wizarding Mount Greylock over in Massachusetts is where I'm originally from. And then, I went to Hogwarts in my sixth year over in the Wizarding Scottish Highlands." The Doctor's eyes widened with total amazement. My Uncle was a Headmaster there up until he passed a way in nineteen ninety seven. My mother was from Muggle Boston, Massachusetts and my father was from Hogsmeade. In which is also in the Wizarding World. It's actually not that far from Hogwarts." She told him.

The Doctor was pretty fascinated to what she was telling him all about her life and her Wizarding places. He needed to know more about how she had her hair colors of a Phoenix and her golden eye colors. "I was actually born this way, Doctor." She told him with a soft chuckle. She shook her head a little to let him see her long, thick and wavy hair. He was very drawn more to her than ever before. It was a very good thing that he had found Avalon Phoenix Dumbledore. And he hoped that she would go on to his adventures with him.

He could tell that this witch could read his mind to his question from his mind by Occlumency. "The answer to your question, Doctor. Is yes. I will go on this adventures with you." She said with a soft laugh. Ava knew what his question was when she looked him in to his blue eyes. "And I can tell that you are a telepath." She added with a soft smirk.

The Twelfth Doctor's eyes widened as saucers. He was speechless at first. His mouth a gaped before he spoke. "How did you know what I was just about to ask you that very question?" He asked her with total amazed interest.

Avalon leaned over in to the chair when she rested her one elbow on to her leg and she lifted her hand up on to the side of her head and she tapped it lightly. She looked at him in to his blue eyes. "Occlumency, Doctor. The Legilimens charm contains people, who can look in to your mind and also look in to your memories as far back as you could go." She explained it to him.

The Twelfth Doctor nodded and he gave her a tender smile. And he also under stood as to what she was telling him. He stood up from the chair and he walked over to the controls. And when he was pressing the buttons to go where he or Ava or the both of them would want to go. The Doctor looked up at the witch. "I will take you any where or any time you would want to go. The past, the present and the future. And even to the universe." He told her.

And while she was still sitting in the chair, Ava cocked her head to the side and her eye brows furrowed. She placed her wand back up in to her long sleeve shirt. "So, you mean to tell me that you can bring me over to the." She said when she lifted up her hand she counted her fingers. "The past, the present and to the future." She said when she raised her eye brows with total interest. "And I also get to go see the universe up close. Now, that sounds very interesting." She added happily.

The Doctor smiled at her words. And he was more than glad to bring her with him. After he placed in the cordinance, the Twelfth Doctor walked over to where Avalon was sitting. He helped her stand up by wrapping his one arm a round her waist and he took a hold of her hand in to his when he was walking her over to where the controls were. "I will certainly bring you any where you would like to go." He told her with a soft smile on his face to her.

Ava looked up at him and she gave him a loving smile. "Well, Doctor, the pleasure is all mine where you may bring me with you on your adventures." She said and she looked down at the controls. "Let's see where you can bring us, Doctor." She added. The Twelfth Doctor grinned from ear to ear and he placed her hand on to the lever and he rested his hand on top of hers. They both pulled the lever down and the TARDIS sprang in to action. God only knows where they would land when they both get there. God willing.
