When worlds collide
Chapter 2~
...
"I was almost certain that light came from over here" a male voice speaks up, his deep blue eyes barely casting over to his pink headed teammate and, then to his teacher, as they continue searching around the small clearing.
The blonde had been at home when a bright light suddenly appeared in the sky above them he'd watched it for a little bit, but the light soon vanished just as quickly as it had appeared. Feeling suspicious of the light, he had gone to see what was going on, only to be instantly dispatched to come out here to investigate the situation.
"I'm surprised. It was able to vanish as quickly as it did," the pink haired girl admits. As she makes her way over to the blonde male. He rubs at his chin, looking like an old man trying to figure out a hard puzzle.
"Maybe it was nothing," he concludes eventually. With a small shrug of his shoulders. "I mean, we have been out here for a few minutes, and all we found was a huge wolf print. Well, Kekashi sensei found it,"
"I wouldn't be so sure about that Naruto," the spoken silver haired man speaks up. As he bends down to run a hand over another huge print. It looked like a wolf print if he was guessing, but this print was huge, possibly the biggest wolf print he'd ever seen. "I found other footprints around the area, human footprints,"
Just then, another male jumps down from one of the trees from above them. Landing in a crouched position before them, his right hand out in front of him for extra balance. He climbs back to his feet, a confident snirk playing at his lips. A top his head, a small white puppy layed.
"There seemed to have been a few people here a while ago." He informs them smartly. His animal like eyes turning to the right direction. "Their scent is quickly beginning to fade away, but I think they went that way,"
"Good work Kiba" the silver haired man muses turning to peer at the young ninja from over his shoulder, a closed eyed smile on his face, or what the young group could guess was a closed eyed smile it was hard to really tell with the mask covering over most of the man's lower face. The man turns fully around, striding over to the young group. His visible eye now hooded.
"It was nothing" Kiba replies smugly, thanks to being able to focus his chakra into his nose the young boy, was easily able to pick up the faded scent of five maybe six people, it barely lingered around the small clearing, but with his enhanced scent of smell he picked it up even quicker then the small animal resting on top of his head. His right hand reaches up to pat the top of the puppies head. Causing the small animal to begin to wag his tail rather fast behind him, enjoying the sudden affection he was now getting. From his best friend.
"That's in the direction of the grass village," Naruto points out knowinly. A small bit of worry flashed through his blue eyes.
"Maybe we should go and make sure everything is alright there," the pinkett suggests looking to her sensei for confirmation
"I was thinking the same thing, Sakura." Kekashi agrees. With a small tilt of his head. "Lady Tsunade did tell us to make sure whoever it was. Was completely gone from the area and we can't just go home if a neighboring village is in distress, come Naruto, Sakura, Kiba, we can also rest there for the night as well, if there's nothing wrong"
With that said, the four people leaped up into the tree's now heading in the direction Kiba had pointed out earlier. Everything falling silent between them. As they journey towards the grass village.
"Could those huge wolf prints be a summoning?" Kiba wonders as he moves to the
next branch, breaking the silence that had begun to feel in around them having took the lead to the village in case they were tracking changed direction. With Akamaru now running beside him.
Kekashi leaps up onto a high branch, his head barely turning to look up at the young ninja.
"Possibly, I've never seen a normal wolf print, that big." He answers, jumping to another branch as he approaches it. Before swinging down to a lower branch, still keeping behind Kiba. "That's why I'm concerned about the Village up a head, hopefully it's fine, I've not seen any smoke or even birds comimg from there, so it might be just people passing through"
"That wouldn't explain the bright light up in the sky though," Sakura puts in as she stops on a low branch concern coming to her green eyes. Realizing Naruto had stopped as well, his head barely turning around to check on her. His brows raised in silent question.
Sakura waves him off before finally picking up the pace again.
"It could have also been away to get us away from the village," Kiba puts in as he maneuvers around an up coming tree. Before ducking under a branch.
"Whatever the reason, we need to be on alert," Kekashi orders as he pauses on a high branch and looks over the young ninja.
"Of course, Kekashi sensei," Naruto salutes. Jumping down in front of the older man. Then darting to the next tree. "We can handle anything."
"Just don't run in and start attacking okay, Naruto?" Sakura tells him in warning. Knowing how the blonde male could be, heck even telling him not to do something was possible futile, but it was worth a shot anyway. The area falls quite once more as the ninjas continue onwards.
"I wonder if the others found anything?"
...
A soft, misty rain slowly began to pour from the clouds above. The rain brings with it a gentle breeze. Yukia cast her eyes back at her friends. Feeling bad that they hadn't reached the city yet, especially since they'd been walking for what felt like hours. Starfire had started leaning against Robin. For extra balance, proof that she was getting very tired. Beastboy drug his feet through a few small puddles of water.
Yukia peers back towards the scent of the city. There was no telling how much farther it could be. And she didn't want to push her friends if rest would be better. Maybe they could find something to stay in for the night? looking over the dark forest, her ears pricked up. When she spots a small cave not too far from where they were standing.
Trotting back to her friends, Yukia barely pokes Robin in the arm with her nose. Gaining his attention. As he now cradles the sleeping Starfire close to his chest.
"Come. There's a cave not too far from here," she informs him softly. "We can rest in there till the rain stops, then go to the city tomorrow,"
"Good idea," the titan leader agrees. With that said, he starts heading towards the cave. The others following close behind him.
Once inside the cave, Robin sits down beside the farthest wall from the entrance, still keeping hold of the sleeping Starfire. Her head now resting on his lap. With one of his arms going around her waist. His masked eyes watching outside as the rain begins to pour down outside. Hopefully, they'll be home soon. They had to stop Slade no matter what the cost was.
...
The next day
Yukia stood in front of her friends, her arms held out in front of her. A huge blue shield. Surrounding her and the titans. the young hero's just haven woken up from their sleep. Yukia didn't feel the need to wake them up, they all need their sleep. Especially after everything that happened the other day. But now that they were awake, she was glad. Her eyes cast back at them from over her shoulder.
"Where surrounded," she informs them simple. Before focusing her mind back on keeping her shield up. Her blue eyes narrowed towards a couple of trees. Several weird weapons laying harmlessly down at her feet. "I can't tell exactly how many... there hiding considerable well if I had to be honest, but I can scents several people up in the trees around here..."
"Why didn't you wake us up?" Robin asked, sounding somewhat angry. They'd just woken up, only to already be attacked. He walked up to stand beside her.
Yukia wasn't sure if he was mad at her or not. Or perhaps he was still upset about being teleported? But regardless of that, Yukia didn't want to answer her eyes, staying mostly focused on the shield.
Robin angrily grits his teeth, his fist clenched down at his sides. His anger felt as if it was on the verge of boiling over.
Starfire, Raven, Beastboy, and Cyborg also come over to stand beside them. Beastboy, and Cyborg, narrow their eyes. up into the brush of the trees, it seemed like the trees being so big would be a great place to hide and even more so lung an attack at them. But of course, as yukia had said, they were hiding very well.
"What the heck?!" A loud voice seems to boom loudly from somewhere up in the trees, the voice sounding a bit shocked. "I thought I had them..."
A tall blonde haired boy with deep blue eyes. Suddenly, jumps out of the trees above, landing a few feet away from Yukia's shield. And, the Titans.
The boy seemed rather puzzled as he gazed back at the blue object in front of him. He honestly figured his weapons would have hit them, but when they cluttered to the ground without any of them moving a finger, it really surprised him. Well, the others had been sleeping, but still.
Yukia glares over at him, her eyes narrowing darkly. She didn't approve of anyone trying to hurt her friends. That would not fly at all with her.
"Naruto!!!" A loud female voice screeches from the trees. Causing the blonde to winch. His face seemed to turn white.
Eight unknown people suddenly come into the titans, line of sight. Three of them jump down from the trees. Landing beside the blonde boy. With the rest of them seeming content on staying up in the trees.
A girl with shoulder linked pink hair stalks up to the blonde boy. What looks like hot Steam rolling off the top of her head as she sneers darkly up at him.
"We told you to wait," she hissed, her anger clearly heard in her voice. Without warning, the girl slams her fist into the boys stomach a bit hard. Causing him to crumble to the ground. His arms now grasping onto his stomach. As a few animated tears stream down from his eyes.
"Idiot," the girl growls under her breath.
All five Titans glance at each other, seeming a bit unsure of what was going on. While Yukia looks over the new comers, taking in what she could on them, they each seemed around her and the titans ages maybe a few where a little older. A headband of sorts was either wrapped around their arms, necks, or heads. Yukia tilts her head in silent question. Who were they? And why did she smell that scent she'd been picking up on them?
Robin reaches back into his utility belt. Pulling out a couple of his flying discs. Before leaping up into the air, he does a small back flip before throwing the disc at the strangers, just when they looked like they would hit their targets.
A huge amount of sand rushes forward immediately, grabbing hold of the flying disc in midair. The sand crushing them instantly. Robin watches on in silent astonishment. His head turned to look up at a tall red-headed boy. His masked eyes Watching as small shifts of sand swirl around the boys' feet. Almost like magic.
Who were these people? And how was that boy controlling sand? the red-headed boy looks back at Robin. The boys face void of any emotions. Well, from what Robin could tell...
Yukia lowers her shield by moving her hands back down to her side, her blue eyes looking over the strangers pretty closely they really didn't seem all that evil. But then again, she didn't know them, and even though they didn't seem evil, they still could be, she guessed.
Without knowing what they all did, could they really win this battle? Starfire flies up her green star bolts, covering her hands in a matter of seconds. The blonde looks up at her, a bit surprised as did the others who were standing beside him. Starfire throws a few star bolts at them.
However, each of them were Impressively quick and, where able to get out of the way pretty quickly, aside from the one using sand, the sand quickly shielding him ftom the oncoming attack. Beastboy pops his knuckles as he walks by a confident smirk crossing his lips.
"Watch and learn how someone really kicks butt," he chirps brightly, mostly targeted at Raven. As he raises his eyebrows at her almost playfully.
Raven only seems to roll her eyes in annoyance at his words. Was this really the time to try and show off? They were practically surrounded.
Beastboy suddenly shifts to a huge t rex letting out a loud roar, shocked eyes quickly turning to look towards the now huge green dinosaur. With the green reptile now charging forward, another roar escaping from his massive lips. Has he grew closer to the large group.
"Let's go, Akamaru, man beast clone." A brown haired boy quickly shouts down to a small white puppy. Before doing a couple strange hand movements. "Two-headed wolf"
A thick cloud of white smoke suddenly poofs up around the boy and the white dog. Blocking the pair from the Titans line of sight for a quick second.
As the smoke slowly begins to dissolve into the air. A huge two-headed white wolf now stood exactly where the boy and the puppy had once stood. Growling threateningly at the five teen heroes, Yukia widens her eyes. What did they do?
As Beastboy keeps running towards the newcomers. Another loud roar coming from his lips. However, just before Beastboy was able to reach the huge two-headed wolf. The ground underneath him suddenly starts to give out. A paniced look crossing his dino like face as he starts to fall into the now huge hole.
Having shifted back to his human form, his arms panickly flailing out in front of him. Trying desperately to keep myself from falling deeper into the hole, but to no avail, he was still falling into the darkness. Not yet realizing the black moving dots surrounding the dark space. However, before the green teen could fall any further. Black energy wraps around his torso. Easily bringing him up out of the hole. And, placing him ruffly on the ground. Almost making him fall face first in some dirt.
After Raven had saved the green boy from falling. She could not understand why Beastboy didn't just turn into a bird or something. He could have easily prevented himself from falling into that hole if he had wanted to. It was very unclear to Raven why he chose not to.
Focusing her attention back on, the tall, dark-haired male standing quietly in front of her. The boy wore a white hoodie that came halfway up to his face. Dark sunglasses covered his eyes, hiding them from Raven's line of sight. Insects crawled over the boys' arms.
Raven, without warning, sends a few sharp spears of dark energy. Flying speedily towards the mysterious boy. However, just as the dark spears connect with the boys chest. Bugs seem to crawl out of his skin, covering up his body in a matter of minutes as the bugs fall. Onto the ground. the boy somehow was gone.
Raven couldn't keep the small shock that came over her pale face back. Where had the boy gone? Not having time to think. Raven jumps to the side. Quickly avoiding a swift punch aimed at her back gazing back over her shoulder.
Raven spots the dark-haired boy doing a small backflip. Getting some distance between them. Narrowing his eyes at Raven. Almost like he was thinking of a way to beat her. Raven wasn't sure though his sunglasses and high collar hid his face pretty well.
Cyborg fires his Sonic cannon at a blonde girl with a big fan out in front of her. As the girl begins to wave her fan back and forth, a huge gust of wind begins to whip up around her. Keeping the robotic teens attack at bay. Cyborg had to quickly move out of the way as the attack went by him. Slicing a nearby tree completely in half. A sweetbead rolling down the side of his face. That could have been him. Turning back to face her. The robotic teen only wished he had thought to bring more weapons with him. If he had known they'd be teleported he probably would have, he was starting to get a bit tired his Sonic cannon was using too much energy and without a way to charge it up he would run out of energy for it quickly.
Yukia, let's out a low growl. Her pointy white teeth flashing in the sunlight as she pulls her lips back. Not really having made a move towards the blonde male, clearly feeling a bit unsure on the situation. Besides, the boy was just standing there as well, his blue eyes wide. as they seemed to watch her.
Naruto could not believe a minute ago a small girl with long red hair had once stood in front of him and, now it was a huge blue wolf with pointy white teeth. Glancing over the others who also stood beside Naruto.
Yukia, lets out a low breath. While slowly shifting back to her human form.
Why were they just standing there? Did they not see her friends as a threat? There was clearly more of them, and they could possibly kill her and the Titans easily if they had really wanted to. So why were they just standing there??
"How do I stop this?" She questions herself, her blue eyes narrowing. Before looking back over her shoulders, back at the Titans who were still fighting some of the strange people.
Robin had just tried to kick the boy controlling the sand. Despite Robin being rather quick. And his punch seeming to come close. The sand is quick to move in front of the two. Protecting the red-haired boy easily from Robin's punch. The masked boy widens his eyes as he steps back.
"How?" He wonders his teeth, gritting together in frustration. "Why is it protecting you? You aren't even moving?"
Not getting an answer, Robin jumps a few more feet away. Pulling out his bow staff.
Yukia throws her arms up in front of her in hailing deepily. Making the blonde boy back up unsurely and go into a fighting stance.
Naruto was more than ready to fight her if he had to. He wouldn't let anyone hurt his friends no matter what they could do. Besides, it wasn't like it was every day that he ran into someone who could turn into a huge blue wolf. The others around him also tense up. Taking on fighting stances of their own. As they watch the red-headed girl.
Yukia drifts her eyes over them once more determining, for sure that they weren't enemies. She wasn't bothered by their fighting stances. She couldn't blame them for being suspicious of her and the titans they were far from Normal. She knew that well.
Yukia only hoped she was making a good call here. If she wasn't, she could put her friends in danger, and she didn't want that.
A few small blue bubbles suddenly shoot up into the air, getting slight eye raises from the many strangers in front of her.
"What's that?" The pink haired girl wonders worriedly backing up beside the blonde boy. Her eyes raised.
"Its ok, there mine." Yukia insures them all gently. Getting several confused looks from a few of them. "I'm going to try and stop the fighting,"
Tilting his head, Naruto continues to watch the weird girl in front of him. How would she stop the fighting? She was weird. But then again, so were her friends.
The small blue bubbles dart towards the titans, almost at blinding speed.
Beastboy had just been slammed hard into a nearby tree slumping to the ground. A low grunt coming from his lips. As he goes back to his human form. The huge two-headed wolf leaps. At the green teen, his mouth gaped open wide. But before he could get to the green boy.
An almost invisible force field pushes against his chest. Pushing him backwards away from the green boy. The wolf looks back at the green boy, a stunned look clearly written on his face. What did he do? And what was that blue thing that surrounded him?
Suddenly, white smoke poofs up around the huge wolf. Once the smoke clears, the brown haired boy now stands once again in front of Beastboy. His puppy laying on top of his head. Tilting its own head cutely in silent question.
Not far from them, Starfire fires a couple star bolts. The green energy heading straight towards a tall male, a black hood covering over his head, the hood almost made it look like the top of his head had cat ears. Purple makeup covering parts of his face.
The star bolts she had just thrown hits a small blue bubble. Protected the male from the green energy.
A bewildered look coming to his face. Starfire lands on the ground, her green eyes glancing over at Yukia. Knowing exactly who the blue shield belongs to.
Robin leaps into the air, quickly avoiding a powerful spears of sand from his opponent. Robin knew it was powerful because when it hit the spot, he had been standing in just a second ago cracked slightly from the impact the red-headed boy looks over at Robin.
"Are you finished?" the boy asked simply. His arms crossed over his chest.
Robin smirks at the boy. Ready to attack again only to stop. When he sees a blue bubble float in front of his eyes. His head turned towards the young girl. Luckily Cyborg and Raven had already stopped fighting, having figured out what Yukia was doing. If they keep going, Yukia would continue to try and stop the fighting. And, eventually, she'd get tired from having to hold up her small shields. They were small, but if she kept using them, they could easily drain her of power. And right now, that wouldn't be good.
"Yukia, what's wrong?" Robin asked, letting out small huff's of breaths. It was clear, he was getting tired as where the other four.
"Yeah, why did you stop us for. Is there something wrong?" Starfire questioned her green eyes, gazing over the strangers as the words leave her mouth. her and the other Titans still felt very tense.
And, Yukia knew they where this was a new place to them and to her, so why did she stop them from fighting? she could be wrong and these strangers could be completely evil she would have put her friends in danger but at the same time she also knew they where all outnumbered by alot and could probably not last much longer if the new comers decided to attack all at once. Yukia lets out a breath and looks back at the Titans. Regarding them all with an unsure look.
"There not our enemies," she tells them, with her blue eyes gazing back at the blonde boy standing before her, giving him a small half grin. "And, where not yours either,"
"How do you know thay.. ?" Beastboy starts to question with a tilt of his head. Though he still keeps watch over the strangers with caution.
"They did attack us first?" Cyborg points out sounding unsure, his robotic eye raising at his young teammate.
"Well, you see.." Yukia pauses a small nervousness coming over her all a sudden. She hated the sidden attention she felt she was getting it was very nerving.
"There's many of them here," Yukia points out, trailing off once more, her head barely turning back to the titans. Naruto tilts his head at her words. Wondering what she was getting at? This girl was just weird.
"I only have seen a few of them fighting you guys. If they all had wanted to, they could have attacked us all at once and possibly overpowered us. Killed us possibly, and we don't even know what all of them do. " Yukia picks up on what she was trying to get at. Her eyes drifted to her feet. "I feel unsure about it too. But we won't last long in this fight. It needs to stop now. "
The titans all glance at each other, taking in her words. Before they each look over the strange people. It was very true they were out numbered they possibly wouldn't be able to fight all of them. No matter how hard they tried.
"O, I get it." Naruto chirps up loudly, getting a small sneer from the pink heading girl standing beside him. Silenlty wishing he'd be quiet for once.
Yukia feels herself relax, removing the small shields from around her friends. She honestly forgot about her shields being around them. She could be very protective over them.
"No more fighting, ok?" She muses carefully a light smile on her lips as she looks over her friends in turn. One eye closing as so she would be winking at them.
"We will trust you on this for now." Robin speaks up his untrusted gaze, looking over the strange people in front of them.
"Robin, you know I would never do anything to hurt you guys." Yukia sighs lowly. A saddened look crossing her face. "At least I hope you know that."
"Yes, I know, but there still strangers, and it's not like we can trust them right up," he tells her in a serious tone. Yukia nods her head at the titan leader
"Then trust me, if I'm wrong, you can take your anger out on me," Yukia tells her friends in a gentler voice, her eyes softening. Naruto seems to widen his eyes at her words How much did she care for these people? They looked so weird, yet she didn't seem to care.
"Who are you guys?" The pink heading girl speaks up carefully, keeping herself sort of behind the blonde boy.
"Where the teen Titans" Robin introduced them Getting several confused looks from the strangers ignoring them for now. Robin points to his team in turn. As he introduced them.
"That's Raven Cyborg Beastboy Starfire and Yukia," he stops before pointing at himself . "And I'm Robin,"
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki," the blonde introduced happily, pointing to himself. He then looks to the pink heading girl standing beside him, a small smile crossing the girls lips as she waves nervously at the titans. "That's Sakura," Naruto says with a light blush on his cheeks, having noticed how close she was to him.
"I'm Kiba," the Brunette Beastboy had been fighting, introducing himself coolly. He points up to the puppy now lying on the top of his head. "And this is Akamaru,"
"Arf arf," Akamaru greets, waving a paw at the titans. With his tail wagging back and forth behind him.
"He's so cute," Yukia suddenly muses, a few small hearts floating around in her eyes. She loved dogs despite being able to turn into a huge wolf. Akamaru barks thankfully at her words, basking in the attention.
"I know, right?" Kiba says braggingly. A lop sided grin crossing his lips. Kiba points to the dark-haired boy, now standing at his side. An unreadable expression on the boys face.
"That is Shino." Kiba introduces his teammate.
With Shino nodding his head silently at the titans. Placing his hands into the frontpocket of his white hoodie.
Raven sends a look to the quiet boy. At the moment, she wasn't too fond of him and not because of his bugs. Or because she had to fight him. She really wasn't sure why she didn't like him.
Kiba then points to his other side, to raven haired girl with silver coloredeyes. A shy look coming to her face as her silver eyes gazed over the Titans
"This is Hinata," Kiba concludes. Hinata sends the titans a nervous wave.
"And lastly, I'm Kankuro," the puppet boy Starfire had been up against, pipes up pointing up into the tree at a blonde girl.
"Her name is Temari," Kankuro tells them flattly, apparentlyhe really didn'tcare about sll this introduction. But since everyone else had done it.
Temari only crosses her arms over her chest, not seeming all too interested in what was going on anymore. This situation had just gotten boring all a sudden.
Kankuro then points to the red-headed boy on his other side who still didn't seem to hold any emotions not that the Titans could see, and honestly out of all of them the Titans sort of felt more uncomfortable with him aside from Yukia who just smiles at the boy.
"And that's Gaara." Kankuro finishes boredly. His eyes rolling as he turns His head away from the titans.
"It's nice to meet you all," Yukia says. When she was able to speak, she smiles over the group individually, eyes seeming to shine with slight interest. She turns her head back to the titans, giving them each a reassuring glance.
Yukia, guessed it would take her friends a little while. To trust these new strangers, it took them forever to truly start trusting her. Yukia was sure despite her and Raven getting along. The female titan still didn't trust Yukia.
Which really Yukia was fine with. She knew well she had to earn that trust. And that could take a while.
"So how did you do that bubble shieldy thing?" Naruto asked Curiously, his head tilting slightly to the side as he looked at Yukia awaiting her answer.
"And turn into that huge blue wolf?" Kiba wonders.
"I've never seen someone do those things before." Kankuro points out a thinking look appearing on his face. "Come to think of it.. I've never seen powers like you all seem to have..."
"Not able to speak for my friends, but I was born with the ability to shape shift, into that huge wolf... i guess you could call it a gift.." Yukia answers honestly. A thinking look comes to her face as she tries to figure out how to go about explaining her shields she never had to explain them before, even to the titans. They just kinda of accepted her without question, they never fully asked about her powers. So she really was unsure how to go about explaining them.
"My shields, I am not sure when I started using them. It's been a long while now.." she says, the unsureness heard in her voice.
Yukia suddenly slips to her wolf form, still very on edge about this place. Noticing several of the young ninjas around her tense up. A few of them instantly going back into fighting stances. With the Titans quickly doing the same. All five heroes ready to defend their young teammate.
Luckily, once they realized Yukia wasn't going to attack them. The young ninjas seemed to slowly relax. With the Titans following. Yukia sends the ninja's a small wolfish grin. Before lifting her muzzle up into the air. Smelling at the fresh air, to make sure no one else would come out and attack them. Her eyes barely dropped back to the young ninjas should she ask them about? That scent was driving her up the wall with curiosity. Maybe she'd ask them eventually it wasn't important now. She guessed.
"What's she doing now?" Sakura wonders curiously, her eyes watching the huge wolf. Still very cautious of the young heroes.
"Checking to make sure no one else attacks us," Cyborg responds with a small shrug of his shoulders. Ino glances back at him before slowly nodding her head in understanding.
"I've not scents anything.. myself, so I'm sure where safe," Kiba points out while patting Akamaru carefully on the top of the heqd. The small puppy lets out a loud bark. "Akamaru doesn't smell anything either."
"Can never be too sure..." Yukia muses knowledge able her head turning to the Brunette. "Danger could be hiding anywhere.."
"No one's here but us.." Hinata informs them all lightly, several veins pulsing on the side of her face as she carefully skims over the large area. The Titans look at the hyuga in silemt Wonder.. Hinata feeling that she was being watched glances back at the Titans. A nervous look came to her face. "M..my eyes help me see far away,"
The titans all nod their heads. Not fully satisfied with that answer, but they would not push out a full one for now.
"What are we to do now friends.. we are so far from home?" Starfire speaks up shyly, her hands wrapped nervously around Robin's arm.
Robin slowly smiles back at her. Not bothered at all on her holding his arm. He turns his head back towards his other teammates.
"We need to find some better shelter," he decides a deep sigh heard in his voice. As the others nod, there heads in agreement. The cave was nice. But he felt they could find better. Plus, the cave left them open to attacks as this mornings attack was very clear on that point.
"A thunderstorm seems to be heading this way," Yukia informs her friends, hoping she doesn't sound too nervous. She wasn't the biggest fan of bad storms. Her blue eyes peeked over to the young ninjas as she spoke. "You guys are welcome to come to if you want, I'm not sure how bad the incoming storm will be. But perhaps it would be best if we stayed together. Plus, there's a city that way"
Pointing in the direction of the city. A few of the ninjas turning their heads a bit sideways.
"Not sure about a city? But the hidden grass village is that way, " Sakura informs them knowingly. "I believe that is where you're headed, right?"
"A village?" Starfire questioned her voice low as she glanced to Robin unsure on what a village was she was curious.
"A village is basically a small city," he answers her softly. "And yes, we were planning to head that way, we we're hoping to get some information on exactly where we're at"
"You're in between the leaf village and grass village." Temari begins, running her hand over her large fan. "You're headed towards the grass village right now. If you'd go opposite, you'd be going to the leaf village. "
"The leaf village is our home," Naruto proclaims proudly. "It's honestly the best village around. You guys should go there instead."
"I don't think they'd be allowed in." Shino is quick to put in his eyes casting over the Titans. Regarding them all with uncertainty.
"That's true, but we may can convince Lady hokage they aren't a threat." Naruto shrugs his shoulders. "Beside they seem to be needing help,"
"Will figure it out when we get there, I suppose," Kiba sighs. Knowing they'd probably get yelled at for bringing them to the village. Would the hokage be mad if they just left them here?
"Let's get moving then.. we don't need to be stuck in the down pour. " Robin decides as he turns to walk in the direction of the said leaf village. Yukia and the other four Titans trailing close behind. With the sand and leaf ninja spreading out around them. A few of them taking to the trees.
...
Yukia Bits on her lower lip nervously, a worried sigh escaping from her lips. She inwardly hoped everything would turn out ok. Yukia didn't want to think of the titans being hurt or, even worse, killed. But the thought continuesly jumped into her head. This was a new place for them. And, she wouldn't allow herself to relax too much... especially if he..
"What's wrong?" Naruto suddenly asked, his blue eyes watching her, as he took step beside her. Having noticed the troubled look that constantly flashed over her face.
Yukia's eyes watched the titans as they walked a few feet in front of her. Before turning her head to gaze over at the blonde male walking beside her. Naruto's eyes showed some concern for her. Which internally surprised her. Why would he care for her they hardly knew each other?
"O nothing." Yukia quickly answers him. Though she wasn't able to keep the worried look from flashing into her eyes once again. Cursing at herself. She sighs deeply.
Naruto was actually quite tall compared to Yukia. She literally had to tilt her head up to look him in the eyes, Naruto's eyes. Yukia randomly realizes, where just a tad darker than hers. Where hers were more of a crystal blue. His where almost a bright baby blue.
"Are you worried for them?" Naruto asked curiously. "I notice you keep gazing over at them, like you're scared someone is going to come out any minute and kill them."
Yukia watches him, her eyes slightly widening at his words. Before she nods her head once at him.
"Yes," she admits, looking back towards her friends. "I'm very concerned about them actually."
"What is it you're worried about?" The Blonde questions tilting his head curiously.
Yukia comes to a sudden hault, her eyes now on the ground scowling saddly at her feet. As small, short flashes of her nightmare make their selves known in her mind...
Yukia found It hard to shake the dream from her mind. She could literally see the dead bodies of the Titans laying on the ground around her, not breathing, not moving just completely still, blood splattered on their clothing. Soaking the ground beneath them in a deep red puddle. Shaking her head. Yukia blinks away a few loose tears that had somehow managed to find their way to her eyes. Maybe she should tell the young ninjas about that man? Just in case he happened to pop up. It wasn't her favorite topic to talk about, but it's best they knew about him. She guessed.
"I'm sorry if I asked something personal," Naruto said backing up his hands going up in the air in a surrender like manner he wasn't wanting to upset her or offend her, he was just interested about her is all.
"You're good, my friend." Yukia insures him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. Naruto smiles back at her, relieved that she wasn't mad at him.
"I was just remembering something I was hoping to have forgotten about by now," She admits to him quietly.
Yukia then begins walking again. With Naruto, following close behind her having come to a stop when she did. Yukia peeks back at him again. hesitating on whether or not to tell him.
"You see," she slowly starts releasing a small breath into the air before speaking once again.
"There's this really evil man. I honestly have a hard time talking about him. But I guess I should tell you who he is just in case. Anyways. His name's Debalo, mm. he's a very bad man. Responsible for murdering my parents. And, has tried on multiple accounts to kill me as well as them, " Yukia explains? her eyes peeking over to the titans. Not sure why she told Naruto about her family being killed. He probably wouldn't care about that. none of them would..
Yukia knew well if she continued to talk about the dark man and everything he had done to her, she would eventually end up in tears. He's done so many bad things to her. Things she wasn't even sure how to go about talking about. Plus, they were related.
She wasn't the type to really cry in front of people she liked hiding her feelings behind the happy mask she covered her face up with. Bringing up the sad memories really wasn't her style.
A low sigh escapes from her lips. Yukia hadn't even told the Titans about her brother, her parents or anything on her past really where she wasbefore she met them. It was too painful for her to try and, remember. If she could even remember what happened to her family. She was two when they were brutally killed. That image of finding her parents dead still haunted her daily.
"You were alone?" She heard someone say from behind her in a low hushed voice, bringing her out of her thoughts.
Yukia glances over her shoulder back at Gaara it was the first time she had heard him speak. His voice was low, and if he hadn't been walking a few feet beside her. She wouldn't have actually heard him.
"Yes, for the most part," Yukia answers after a few short seconds. Pulling her attention away from him and focusing back on the trail in front of them.
"So what happened?" Naruto asked, the curiosity being heard clear in his voice.
"I've not told anyone about my past," Yukia murmers lowly. Drifting her eyes over to the titans. Noticing, they had also stopped walking. There eyes now glancing back at her curiously. The girls passed a total mystery to them.
"What happened, friend Yukia?" Starfire asked an empathetic look coming to her face having lost her parents at a young age Starfire knew what it felt like to lose her parents even her sister didn't want anything to do with her anymore.
Sighing deepily, Yukia decides it was time to give her friends what they wanted despite how painful it was.
"After I lost my family I had lived alone for, six or maybe it was seven years, at the time that my family was killed I was unaware of any of my powers, as far as I knew I didn't actually have any. Anyways.. Continuing on my journey I eventually ended up on a small farm, the man I guess wasn't real use to strangers being there or maybe it was due to me trying to steal some breed, I could remember being very hungry that day and not thinking very clearly. I also can recall that farmer trying to kill me. l was naturally scared. I never faced someone who wanted to kill me so badly before. That was the very first time I had actually shifted to my wolf form. I found out that day on how hard it was to gain control over it..."
"Did you kill that man, Yuks?" Beastboy asked, interrupting her. With his green eyes raised in deep interest.
Yukia comes to a stop once more, her eyes focused on the ground. Causing everyone else to also stop around her, there empathetic looks burning into her skin like sharp knives cutting jer deep. She hated these looks. This was why she hid her past for so long she didn't want those sympathetic looks her friends were giving her, and some of the ninjas were as well. Nodding her head slowly at Beastboy's words.
"No, but I wanted to so bad. Being the first time I turned it, it was hard to keep myself from not killing him. I'm not sure why I didn't kill him? I know I injured him pretty badly and maybe got some blood in my mouth, so I guess I didn't like the taste of human blood or something it was weird. I did steal a few pieces of breed before leaving the farm. Once, I managed to shift back to my human form, of course. "
"Eventually, the days where I was alone would run out. Because a few weeks after the farm incident, I somehow managed to run into a huge pack of wolves. These wolves were not normal wolves either, they where a lot like me in that they were also shape shifters, able to shift to their wolves when they wanted. They took me in and raised me up they had become family well at least that's what I saw them, as however they didn't see me as such due to the non pack blood and the blue fur I was mocked and laughed at, as well as beaten almost daily, their eyes grew cold and dark almost murderious, I was pushed away" taking in a deep Breath Yukia falls into a silences once more. The memories stinging painfully at her heart.
"Is that the pack you told me about. The one that said you were bad luck due to the blue fur?" Starfire asked, remembering. Being told that once before.
"Yes" comes the low reply. A silent tear slowly ran down Yukia's check.
"Bad luck, huh?" Naruto repeats a saddened look crossing his face, as he looks away from the girl, knowing full well how it felt to be left out, having been there himself.
"Keep going, Yukia," Raven encourages. With Raven hiding her emotions, it wasn't clear to Yukia if she was sad or not. She hoped not she was not liking being the center of attention it was starting to crawl under her skin.
"I got tired of the pack treatment so I managed to run away, I know running away from problems doesn't solve much and maybe it didn't but that same day I had made my way into the Titans city the first time I had really came face to face with Debalo in a long time he tried getting me to join him and when I refused he tried to kill me that's how I meet them the Titans saved me, more then they realize actually" Yukia narrows her eyes needing a short break from talking. Taking in a deep breath. She hangs her head in defeat. "However Diablo wants to kill them because of me, he knows I care about them. Diablo wants to kill those I get close to. I'm not too sure why the reason is. That is unclear to me. It scares me to think I could actually lose the ones who mean the world to me because of him, and there may be nothing I could do to really stop him."
The silences that filled the forest were a bit nerving. Yukia, now finished with her story, atleaet bits and pieces of it, she didn't want to talk about it anymore.. she was finding it hard to keep her emotions fully in check.
"We are very grateful you shared your passed with us, friend Yukia." Starfire breaks the silence.
"I'm glad to..." the young girl muttters lowly... yet she still didn't trust them enough to tell them who he really was to her. She may never have to tell them. And, that was fine with her.
...
