When worlds collide
~Chapter 6~
...
"Your home is very beautiful." Starfire compliments her green eyes sparkling brightly as they gaze over the huge village before her. The other four titans standing beside her also seemed a bit stunned. On the size of the village. It was honestly nice.
"I got to go report this mission to lady Tsunade" shino mumbles softly he glances back at Yukia he guessed she still couldn't see if the look of confusion on her face was anything to go by. "You should take your friend to the hospital."
The black-haired boy then turns to head off towards the Kage tower with Temari following closely behind him she just wanted to help him explain everything, just in case he was to forget something. besides, it would be easier if two people explained what was going on, so nothing was left out
"Which direction is the hospital?" Cyborg questions with a sweet drop forming on the side of his head, his eye looking over the huge village in front of them.
"Come on, I'll show you," Sakura says, turning towards the direction of the hospital
She starts walking with the titans following close behind her with Naruto behind them. Yukia and Gaara also follow.
"This place is huge." Beastboy points out his green eyes gazing over the many buildings as they passed by them.
He could feel the weird looks of the villagers as him and the other Titans walk by, their looks feeling rather cold
"Why is that boy's skin green?"
"It's so weird."
"Look, that guy with the weird body." One woman's voice reaches Beastboy's ears, causing his ears to droop sadly. Cyborg eyes the ground has well knowing some name calling was being aimed his way to.
"He's such a freak," another woman points out rudely.
Yukia could feel her anger suddenly begin to boil up inside her. Her teeth poking out the side of her mouth. How dare they talk about her friends like that.
"Calm down Yukia" Raven's voice comes from Yukia's side, Raven was able to feel the sudden rise of anger in the red headed girl and new if she was in full strength she would be on top of those people in a quick heartbeat.
"Yeah, Yuks, it's no big deal," Cyborg speaks up, using the nickname he came up with for her.
"It's ok." Beastboy insures the young girl cheerfully. It is clear his cheerfulness was also fake. Which wasn't missed at all.
"No, it's not." Yukia snaps in a low snarl, her anger clearly aimed at the villagers not at Beastboy she would never get mad at him. "I can tell you and Cyborg both are hurt by what they're saying. It's not right,"
Cyborg, and, Beastboy, both send the girl a thankful smile. It was nice knowing they had friends to stand up for them. But the name calling wasn't new to them it happened in jump city as well.
Gaara barely tightens his grip on her waist as she struggles to free herself. Making sure she wouldn't go and try to hurt someone or hurt herself more.
"You are very protective over them, aren't you?" Naruto questions a sweet bead rolled down the side of his head at the girl's rise in anger
"If I could, I'd probably kill them, no one talks about them and gets away with it" Yukia growls another sweat drop rolling down Naruto's head as he backs away from the enraged girl. All five titans gaze over at their teammate, knowing her threat to kill the villagers to be false she wouldn't kill them, but hurt them possibly.
'Note to self never name call her friends' Naruto thinks internally to himself.
"Don't get so worked up. you're still hurt," Gaara calmly mumbles from beside her.
Yukia suddenly freezes the words she was about to say, dying down in her mouth. her eyes casting to the side despite not fully being able to see at the moment. She still gazes up at him, seeming to have forgotten he was the one helping her walk. Yukia hoped she hadn't hurt him while she was trying to get away she hadn't meant to if she did.
"But its wrong. They haven't done anything?" she slightly argues in an uncertain voice her brows barely raised.
"Well, killing those people won't help matters none." Gaara tells her his voice as calm as ever. Yukia gazes to the ground, a thinking look clear on her face, silently mauling over his words.
"I guess not," the girl finally agrees lowly under her breath.
Yukia, deciding to just curse at the villagers as they pass by them instead. Getting several surprised looks from the villagers. Hey, it was better than trying to kill them.
Naruto seems to chuckle at the girl, feeling highly amused by her child like behavior. Robin and Raven just shake there heads hopefully she didn't get them kicked out of the village before they could explain themselves to this hokage person.
Cyborg and Beastboy walk beside each other, lowly chuckling at their young teammates. Luckily, she was unable to fully walk on her own. Right now, she would probably be up in the villagers' faces, or maybe it was Gaara, holding her back. Who knew.
"Here we are the hospital," Sakura speaks up. Once, they finally reached a long white building with a huge fence around it.
"Where did everyone go?" Robin question gazing over his shoulders, noticing the group had fallen short only him, the other four titans, Yukia, Sakura, Naruto, and Gaara remained.
"They went home, I guess." Sakura answers, shrugging her shoulders while walking through the automatic hospital doors, the small group following in after her.
"There's really no point in us all being at the hospital." Sakura continues, "none of them had serious injuries, and most of them were probably tired."
The Titans simultaneously nod there heads it made scents. There was no point in a huge group being at the hospital right now anyways.
...
"So, these are the strange people Shikamaru told me about?" Tsunade questions her caramel eyes raised as they gaze over the Titans each in turn. Taking in every small detail about them, they definitely looked strange like Shikamaru had told her she had never seen anyone look the way these people did. Could she really trust them in her village? What happens if she did and they turned on the leaf village?
"Can you please heal our friend?" Starfire asked worriedly, unknowingly interrupting the blonde women's thoughts. Lady Tsunade cast the floating girl a glance. Yes, she was floating of the ground, her hands clasped in front of her face
The Hokage shakes her head before skidding over to the hospital bed. Where Yukia had been set down on her blue eyes, barely meeting the harsh gaze of the hokage, actually feeling a bit uncomfortable under the women's eyes. But she found it impossible to escape them. No matter where she focused her eyes at.
Lady Tsunade gently places her hand on Yukia's uninjured shoulder, feeling sympathy towards the young girl. Yukia snaps her head up a shocked look on her face as her eyes gaze back into the eyes of the hokage, a kind look coming over the older woman's eyes.
"It's going to be ok," Lady Tsunade gently says, her head turning to look back at the Titans. "Now you all go stand outside and, I'll do what I can for your friend."
The Titans turn to head out of the room with Naruto and Gaara following behind them. Sakura stayed back, wanting to help out with the healing. The Hokage carefully unties the bandage from around Yukia's shoulder. Dried blood covered the inside of the bandage as well as the wound.
"Relax, it's ok," Sakura whispers lowly in Yukia's ear, having noticed the nervous look on the girls face and wanting to comfort her the best she could.
"OK," Yukia mutters lowly.
"Sakura, grab me a wet towel," the hokage suddenly orders, making Yukia jump up at her sudden voice. Sakura quickly scurries away.
"Despite blood loss..." Lady Tsunade mumbles, gazing over the wound just as Sakura returns, handing over the warm wet towel. Lady Tsunade whips the towel over Yukia's shoulder, making the girl winch at the sudden touch.
The towel easily cleans up the dried blood around the wound. With the Hokage widening her eyes. Watching as the wound slowly seems to be healing itself up.
"My healing abilities.." Yukia speaks up lowly, getting a small glance from the Hokage.
"I'm not sure why, but I've always been able to heal myself up pretty quickly well mostly flesh wounds, I can't heal up the broken bones in my shoulder, my healing isn't strong enough for that..." shutting her mouth to keep herself from rambling on Yukia looks to the ground unsure on rather to keep talking or not.
"The whole time we were walking back to the village, you managed to keep yourself from bleeding out," Sakura said in surprise.
"Yes, its probably why I've been so tired the past few days" Yukia corrects with a nod of her head "like I said I can't heal the inside damage on my own, sakura did most of the healing herself, but I've managed to keep it healed up enough so more blood wouldn't be able to come out, but that's all I've been able to do.."
Sakura smiles at the young girl a proud look passing over the hokages face has well.
"How does your healing work?" Lady Tsunade questions changing the subject for now. A green light suddenly lighting up her hands as she placed them on Yukia's shoulder, wanting to see what's going on inside her body.
"My body has some kind of strange blue energy inside it" Yukia explains a pitiful look on her face as she feels a couple nerves reconnect back together as Lady Tsunade continues to heal her, while also listening to what she was saying. "I can disperse it through my whole body, and when I get hurt, I can focus my energy on that wound or wounds, which gets it to begin healing, I can't heal internal organs. My healing isn't that good, plus I'm too afraid if I try to heal an internal injury on myself, I could possibly kill myself. "
A low grunt comes from Yukia's lips. As she feels a small pinch in her shoulder. Sakura holds the girl back to keep her from struggling too much.
"Can you heal others with that same energy?" The Hokage questions uncharacteristically wanting to no more about the girls healing. While also wanting to keep Yukia's mind from the pain in her shoulder.
It seemed Yukia was truthful with her words the outside of the wound was healed up pretty well. While the inside was shattered, props of having a sword stabbed into her shoulder blade. By her so-called uncle.
"I can strangely," Yukia admits through a painful breath. Her eyes slammed shut, trying her hardest to ignore the pain.
A silence fills in the room as Tsunade focuses her mind and, chakra, on healing Yukia up.
Sakura remains at the girls' side, staying quiet. As she watches her mentor. Through interesting eyes.
...
A few minutes had passed by. Lady Tsunade's chakra finally descending from her hands. her arms going up over her head as a low yawn comes from her lips, though despite having healed up Yukia, she kinda seemed fine.
The Hokage flicks her eyes back to Yukia, who was now moving her, arm back and forth. Glad the pain had finally ended. A fresh clean bandage had been placed around Yukia's shoulder just in case of any more bleeding.
"Thank you so much." Yukia cheers happily, a bright smile plastered on her lips. As she looks up at the hokage gracefully. Finally able to see properly.
"Tell her friends they can come in now, I will talk with them all," Lady Tsunade tells her pink headed student.
Sakura quickly heads to the hospital door. And slides it open, poking her head out. Sakura easily spots all five titans standing impatiently around the doorway. Naruto stood beside the door as well, with Gaara a couple feet away from everyone else.
"You all can come in know," Sakura tells them all cheerfully before turning to walk back into the room.
Starfire flies inside the room, concerned expression clear on her face.
"She is the ok, right?" The tamerainan asked her green eyes, looking over, Yukia, who stared back up at her with a bright grin.
"Yes, Starfire, I'm ok." Yukia answers her happily. Starfire suddenly tackles the girl in a tight bone crushing hug, excited squeals coming from her lips seeing her friend healed made Starfire, overly excited. Yukia, sweat drops as her arms flail her breathing coming out a bit raspy clearly she was struggling to breathe.
"That is wonderful, friend Yukia," the tamerainan cheers loudly, shaking Yukia back and forth as she continues to hug her. Her green eyes sparkling happily unaware of Yukia's face turning blue.
"Starfire," Robin gently addresses, tapping her gently on the shoulder, Starfire tilts her head towards her friend.
"Yes, friend Robin?" Starfire questions innocently.
"I think Yukia would like to be able to breathe." Beastboy finishes teasingly, having noticed Yukia's blued face.
Starfire gasps loudly, her eyes peeking up at the red-headed girl in her arms, a sweat drop rolling down the side of her head. Before putting Yukia back down on the hospital bed. The young girl immediately gasping for breath, desperately trying to regain the breath that was lost.
Yukia's crystal blue eyes glared good naturally at Starfire that girl was so strong. She would almost crush anyone else's bones unintentionally, of course. Starfire innocently gazes back at Yukia, rubbing the back of her head nervously.
Beastboy and Cyborg both burst out laughing, unable to hold back their laughter anymore. As does Naruto and Sakura, Lady Tsunade barely chuckles as well seeming a bit amused, Raven, Robin, and Gaara remain as cheerful as always
"Naruto, Sakura, you both can head home now," Tsunade addresses now serious her eyes flicking over both ninja, before turning her gaze, to the young sand ninja. "Gaara, your brother and sister are staying in the same hotel you stayed in during the chunnin exams,"
Sakura lets out a yawn. Before she walks to the door, agreeing with her teacher, she was rather tired and could use a nap, and a shower would be nice to.
"I'll see you all tomorrow, I hope," Sakura replies as she walks out of the room, shutting the door behind her. Her footfall echoing in the hallways as she leaves.
"Let's begin with the questions." Lady Tsunade starts up. "Tell me about your self's where are you from? How did you get here?"
...
...
"You're not from here, huh?" Lady Tsunade starts up, her Carmel eyes raising slightly as they look over the teens in front of her, after each of them had explained themselves to her.
"One of our enemies made a time machine," Robin explains to her honestly, his masked eyes mostly on the ground now as his mind reals back to his huge city, hoping it was still standing
"And he sent us here where really unsure on how to get back," Cyborg completes for the masked boy.
"And your powers, they don't require chakra?" The women asked curiously. Lady Tsunade wanted all the information she could get from them.
"No," Raven answers her respectfully despite her voice still being toneless
"In our world where hero's we save or city from evil, we keep it safe" Robin explains he wanted the Hokage to know they could be trusted they wouldn't do anything to hurt this village, they just wanted to get home.
"But I'm not a hero I do anything for them cause there my friends if it means keeping the city safe then I'm good with that" Yukia speaks up brightly her elbows barely keeping her up.
"I see" Tsunade says flatly, her eyes once more gazing over the six teens infront of her they didn't seem bad to her but in this world you could never know they could easily be spies for a different village. Could she really trust them in the leaf village? What if they became a threat? Sighing lowly to herself, the blonde woman takes in a breath. Hopefully, she wasn't about to make the wrong choice. There were more questions the woman wanted to ask as well, but for now, the hokage would let them rest. She'd ask the other questions later.
"I will allow you all to stay here in the village." Lady Tsunade speaks up, breaking the silence that had begun to fill the room
"However if you so much as hurt this village you will be killed, no question asked, do you understand" she tells them warningly her Carmel eyes holding a dark glare as they look over the Titans once again, indicating she wasn't joking with them. Her threat was real. A slight nod of the head coming from each of the Titans.
The blonde woman then turns to stroll out of the room, the door shutting quietly behind her as she left.
"Yahoo." Naruto cheers his arms up in the air as he dances in place, he had somehow managed to stay quiet through the whole thing and was glad to actually be able to talk. "I can now show you all my favorite ramen shop and favorite places to train."
"Damn it, this stupid communicator," Robin growls, catching everyone in the room quick attention.
Robin throws the communicater across the room, the small black and yellow object hitting the wall with a small thud before fallling harmlessly to the ground. Naruto bends over his head, tilting suspiciously as he inspects the object down by his feet. Picking the communicater up in his hand, he inspects it closer. What was this thing? Gaara also stays by the wall, his arms over his chest with his teal eyes gazing out the huge window.
"Hello?" A male voice suddenly cuts through, causing the hyuga to widen his eyes, a stunned expression coming over his face.
Naruto quickly backs up, almost falling over on the ground. The blonde wasn't expected to hear someone's voice come through the device.
"What is this thing?" Naruto asked curiously, gazing over at the titan leader, his blue eyes wide with questions.
"It's our communicator to talk with our other friends," Cyborg explains simply, his brows raised slightly in question. "The voice that came through was our friend Speedy.
"I don't understand why it's working now, though?" Robin rudely mumbles.
"Hello...?" Another male voice comes over the communicater.
"That's friend Aqulaid's voice," Starfire points out happily, clapping her hands in front of her face.
"Why is it working now?" Beastboy wonders mostly to himself.
"Just a thought, but what if it has something to do with being in their world?" Yukia suggests carefully, the titans glance at each other thinking over her words.
"We should answer it before they decide to hang up," Robin mumbles, gazing up to Naruto, who still looks at the device curiously. "Do you mind holding it a second longer?"
The blonde male looks over at Robin and then back at the small device in his hand. Giving it one last look. Deciding it was harmless.
"Sure." Naruto nods his head.
"Speedy, it's me Robin come in," the titan leader says into the communicater
"Robin?" Speedy's voice comes through. "Is that you?"
"Yeah," Robin answers back. A sigh of relief could be heard from inside the small communicator.
"Thank goodness," Aquliad's voice comes through again "your all alright?"
"Where fine?" Beastboy confirms cheerfully, glad to hear his friends' familiar voices.
"We have been teleported," Robin addresses seriously. "Would you mind keeping an eye on our city and try to stop Slade?"
"Already on it, you don't need to worry." A familiar female voice chirps happily. "We just arrived in jump city,"
"After we heard you guys had vanished, we got worried," Speedy explains simply. "So we came to jump city to see what happened.."
"Bumblebee," Cyborg speaks up happily, his mood seeming to change at the girls voice.
"Hey Sparky," Bumblebee greets using his nickname, she had given him.
"Will get you all home soon, don't worry," Aquliad insures confidently.
"We have to go now," Robin says before shutting the communicator, with out another word.
The call to the Titans East immediately ending Robin takes his communicator back from Naruto and snaps it onto his utility belt
"Thank you," Robin tells the blonde male gracefully.
"I'm going to go now," Naruto replies, an apologetic look crossing his face, as his blue eyes gaze over to the Titans.
"It's ok Naruto, you should go and rest," Yukia tells him gently, a tender smile on her lips as she gazes over at him, before her eyes shift over to the Titans "You guys should go to maybe try and, get a hotel room or something I'll be ok here,"
"You sure?" Robin questions quickly, unsure on whether they should leave her here by herself or not.
"Yeah." She ensures the Titan leader seriously, pointing at the door with her eyes. "Go rest, y'all need it,"
"Alright, if you say so, will be back first thing in the morning," Robin replies lowly. Him and the other four Titans turn to head out of the hospital room.
Naruto following behind them. When he is fully out of the room, he shuts the door softly behind him, the blonde's voice echoing in the hallway as he talks to the Titans.
"I can show you to the hotels," He tells them loudly, A small giggle comes from Yukia's lips. Hearing Naruto's voice, where did all his energy come from?
Yukia then flicks her eyes over to Gaara, who is still standing with his back against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest. A distance look in his eyes. what was he thinking about?
"You can go to, if you like, you don't have to stay here with me." Yukia speaks up gently, breaking the small silence in the room.
Yukia gives him a small smile as He looks back over at her. She looks away from him, her eyes now on the White hospital bed covers wrapped around her.
"I mean, you don't have to leave, but I'm probably going to try and rest," Yukia tells him shyly
Yukia sits back against the cold pillows, her eyes looking up at the ceiling, watching as the fan spins around and around, making her head fill suddenly dizzy. Yukia had to eventually look away. This place was kind of more modern compared to the many other places she had traveled to. The Titans should feel pretty comfortable here, right? It wasn't jump city, but it wasn't bad either.
"I don't really sleep," Gaara tells her after a few minutes of silence, bringing her attention back over to him.
"O right, sorry, I forgot," Yukia admits apologeticaly. The girl sits up in her hospital bed, pushing the covers off her,
Yukia swings her legs over the side, placing her feet on the cold marbled floor. The cold sending a small shock up her spine. She puts weight into her legs and slowly stands up. Every bone in her body seemed to scream at her with each movement she made, her legs wobbling a little underneath her as she stood there. Leaning her body against the bed post. For extra support.
Yukia was glade to sorta be standing up well, on her own two feet. Without help, she felt like such a burden to her friends when she was hurt. If she wasn't reckless, she would have been fine.
"You should be resting," Gaara whispers lowly, her eyes barely flicking over to the tall boy in the room, his eyes slightly watching her sighing lowly to his words.
"I know, I really don't want to rest anymore," Yukia admits, her head turning away from him. Hooding her eyes as they gaze to the ground.
"If I had a little more strength, I would just shift to my wolf form. I would feel more comfortable that way," She explains to really no one, in particular.
With that said. The hospital room falls into another comfortable silence, neither one of them seeming to know what to say next. Yukia looks up at the sound of his footsteps on the floor, watching as he heads towards the door for some reason.
A saddened look comes to her face she really didn't want to be alone in a place she wasn't familiar with it made her nervous on top of not being able to shift to her more familiar wolf form she really felt kind of scared, she wouldn't force him to stay if he didn't want to it wasn't her style.
"Gaara?" She accidentally says his name louder than she had meant to. The boy pauses at the door, his hand just about to wrap around the door handle, when her small voice reaches his ears.
Gazing back over his shoulder back at the Red-headed girl behind him, an unsure look comes to her face as she kicks at the ground, her blue eyes glued once more on the ground.
"Um... I was, um wondering?" She begins a pinkish color coming to her cheeks
"If you wouldn't care, would you stay here till I fall asleep?" Yukia asked him unsurely, causing his eyes to widen slightly a stunned look on his face. she didn't want him to leave?
"I mean you can leave if you want to, I'm just..." Yukia pauses a low breath coming from her lips.
Gaara turns fully around to face her, the stunned look still on his face, though it wasn't like she could see it from where she was.
"I'm just not used to this place, and it makes me nervous. I can't shift to my wolf form, " She explains, almost pouting over the last part. Her blue eyes barely peeking up over at him.
Gaara could swear he could see the small fear that came to her face and, for once, he didn't think it was aimed at him.
"Fine," He mumbles calmly, not waiting for her to finish what she was trying to say. A huge, relieved smile comes over the girls face.
"Thank you so much," Yukia cheers in a low, happy voice.
Yukia lays back down on the bed, covering herself up with the white covers. Her head resting comfortably back on the cool pillows. Yukia watches him through tired eyes.
Gaara walks over to grab a plastic hospital chair that had been sitting up beside the far wall, easily picking it up. He carries it over to the bedside, sitting it on the floor. Gaara sits down in the chair, with his arms crossed over his chest. He looks over to Yukia.
A sudden, unnoticeable smile comes to the boys lips as he watches the girl in front of him, her eyes closing, just as small peaceful breaths emit from her lips.
'So much for not being able to sleep'
