Canterlot City, Canterlot High School
It was a fine day in Canterlot City as we head towards the Canterlot High School and at the back of the building by the parking lot, we see the Rainbooms, alongside Mahiru Kasumi, Aine Yuuki and Mio Minato, cleaning up a pick-up truck.
"To the right! To the right!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed cheerfully while waving her hands, "To the left! To the left!" she beckoned repeatedly, "Now up! Now up!" she exclaimed, "Bring it down! Spin it around!" she furthered as Mahiru, Aine, Mio, Sunset Shimmer and Applejack Smith rushed by and began to wipe the suds onto the muddy vehicle, "Wash that car like you mean it!" the party girl demanded, "Come on!" the pinkhead egged as Fluttershy Breeze readied a hose before firing a gush of water that almost struck her friends but they managed to get away at the last second and after the animal lover had rinsed it completely, Rarity Belle stood beside her and spun a black-colored blow dryer in her left hand and then aiming it towards the vehicle before turning it on with the whirring sound producing hot air which dried up the remainder of the water on the truck, Pinkie then steps in with a pair of spongy mittens over her hands and uses them to wiped away the remaining droplets which then left the truck completely clean.
Inside the aforementioned vehicle, we see Big MacIntosh looking around in utter satisfaction before handing Rainbow Dash a dollar bill which she happily took.
Rainbow chuckled, "Thanks, Big Mac." she expressed in gratitude with Big Mac nodding in response before driving off, "Sweet!" she exclaimed with a fist pump, "More cash to add to the stash!" she cheered with Applejack walking towards her.
Pinkie then pops in right between the two, "Woo-hoo!" she cheered in excitement while waving her mittens around.
Rarity then breathes out a sigh while wiping her forehead, "How about a little break?" she suggested, "All of this sunshine and suds are doing a number on my hair." she pointed out while rolling her eyes with everyone muttering in agreement.
A few seconds later, the Rainbooms alongside Mahiru, Aine and Mio are seen gathered at the back of the building and right beside them is cooler case and all of them are drinking from bottles of orange juice.
Sunset then turns to the Aikatsu Idols, "Thanks again for helping us, girls." she expressed in gratitude, "The others were supposed to help us but they were suddenly called for a mission, so we really appreciate your assistance." she stated with a smile.
Mio smiled back, "No worries." she reassured, "It's the least we could do for helping us last week with our performance." she reasoned.
"And besides..." Mahiru uttered, "... we Aikatsu Idols love to challenge ourselves by doing various things and car washing is no exception." she explained.
"Sunset-san!" Aine called out with a big smile, "If you ever needed help..." she trailed, "... then don't be a stranger and ask us for assistance!" she offered, "Bring it on!" she cheered while doing her signature gesture.
Sunset smiled in response, "Alright!" she accepted.
Rainbow then looks around, "Hey, anybody seen Twilight lately?" she asked.
"I'm here." a voice answered and everyone turned around to see Twilight Sparkle jogging towards them with a cash box in her hands, "I was just going over the numbers again." she mentioned while adjusting her glasses.
"Have we raised enough to make all the repairs to Camp Everfree?" Sunset assumed with a smile of anticipation.
"We've only raised half." Twilight answered while opening the box, "I counted the money four times just to be sure." she mentioned with everyone groaning in disappointment.
"It's all right." Applejack reassured, "We can just wash more cars." she beckoned, "There's gotta be some we missed." she added before glancing back at the parking lot only to find it empty save for gust of wind blowing a tumbleweed around, much to her own disappointment.
"I, uh, think we're gonna have to come up with a new plan." Sunset beckoned with Applejack grinning sheepishly in response.
"But we're running out of time!" Rainbow chimed in, "The camp fundraising deadline is next week." she pointed out, "And Pinkie Pie's already hosted a bake sale..." she began while Pinkie grabbed a cookie out from her hair and munched on it, "Twilight and Fluttershy had that doggie day care..." she continued with the aforementioned girl petting Spike the Puppy, "... and Sunset Shimmer and I planned this car wash." she concluded.
"You know..." Mio spoke, "... if you really needed the money for this campsite, my friends and I can just lend you some." she offered with Mahiru and Aine nodding in agreement.
"Thank you for the offer Mio..." Sunset expressed in gratitude, "... but you earned your money through your hard work as an idol and we can't just accept it like that easily." she pointed out, "We don't mind the help but we want to earn money the way we want to." she reasoned.
"If you say so..." Mio relinquished, "... but our offer still stands if things gets awry." she insisted.
Sunset chuckled in response, "I'll keep that in mind." she replied.
"So, what should we do now?" Rainbow asked.
"Not to worry, darlings." Rarity chimed in reassurance, "It's my turn to devise a plan." she proclaimed, "And I already have something amazing in mind." she claimed with a wave of her hand, "It will be the most profitable of all of our fundraising events!" she declared, "The pièce de résistance!" she cheered while spinning around and everyone cheered in response
"Hee-yoo!" Applejack hollered while taking off her hat for a moment, "Now we're talkin'!" she beckoned, "What's your idea?" she questioned.
"Meet me in the music room later this afternoon." Rarity advised, "And I will explain everything." she concluded.
"Uh-huh!" Rainbow accepted with a smile before placing her hand on Rarity shoulder while she and the others walked past the fashionista.
As everyone, sans Rarity, made their towards the other side of the building, she waves a hand at them with a smile but when everyone are gone from sight, Rarity's smile turned into a nervous grimace as Spike stood by her side.
"You got nothin', huh?" Spike pointed out nonchalantly.
Rarity then glances down at him in panic, "How did you know?!" she cried out.
-BREAK-
Caterlot City, Canterlot Mall
Later that day in the Canterlot Mall located somewhere in Canterlot City, we see a lot of people going around while buying stuffs or just hanging around with their friends.
At one part somewhere inside the mall, we see Rarity walking around before letting out a sigh, "Oh, rats..." she uttered in frustration before crossing her arms, "Three hours and still no ideas for a lucrative last-minute fundraiser." she grumbled before walking onwards, "Usually, window-shopping inspires me..." she stated.
"Rarity?" a voice called out.
Rarity then turns around to see Ben Tennyson walking towards her, "Ben?" she uttered in surprise before slightly fixing her hair, "It's good to see you." she greeted, "But what are you doing here?" she asked, "I thought you were on a mission." she mentioned.
"Cancelled at the last minute." Ben answered, "So, I'm currently on standby until I'm called for another mission." he stated, "Anyway..." he uttered, "... you look troubled." he pointed out, "Is something wrong?" he asked.
Rarity sighed in response, "My friends and I are trying to make enough money to make all the repairs for Camp Everfree and I told them that I had an idea but the truth is that I don't, so I came here to do some brainstorming but so far I have none." she explained.
"I see..." Ben uttered in understanding, "Don't worry, Rarity, you'll get through this." he reassured, "I'm pretty sure that the solution you need is just around the corner." he stated.
Suddenly, a deep male voice chimed in, "Are you a musician?" the voice asked and the two perk up to see large television on top of a store.
"If you're referring to Rarity, then yes." Ben confirmed.
"Do you and friends love to dance?"
"They pretty much do." Ben answered again.
"Are you unique, cool, stylish?"
"So?" Ben questioned.
The television screen then gained an angry face and glared at Ben, "Stop interrupting me!" he demanded.
Ben raised a hand in defense while chuckling nervously, "Sorry..." he uttered in apology, "Go on." he beckoned in a mild whisper.
"Do you want to win a cash prize?" the announcer asked.
Rarity's eyes widen in astonishment, "Yes!" she yelped happily with a bright smile.
"Then enter the Canterlot Mall Chance to Prance Competition!" the announcer advised, "All you need is a music video of your own original song and dance..." he explained, "Then you could be prancing your way to first prize!" he exclaimed with a trophy appearing on the screen, "Sign up now at the booth near the Aunt Orange smoothie kiosk." he advised.
Upon hearing the advice, Rarity and Ben was about to go off to the nearest smoothie kiosk when the former screeched to a halt once she noticed a sparkling red dress in the window of another shop, looking at it in utter awe before grinning widely.
"Oh, we're certain to win!" Rarity declared.
"Not if you sign up first." Ben reminded.
Rarity chuckled in response, "Of course." she replied.
A few minutes later, the two arrives at an Aunt Orange smoothie kiosk, Rarity then quickly took out a pen from her skirt and began to write on a sign-up card. Unbeknownst to them, a certain group is seen standing behind them and this group are none other than Lemon Zest, Sour Sweet, Sugarcoat and Sunny Flare.
"Rarity, Ben!" Sour called out which got the aforementioned girl and Ben's attention, the bipolar girl and her friends then walked towards them, "What a nice surprise!" she greeted sweetly with a wave of her hand, "Not..." she whispered sourly through the side of her mouth.
Ben facefaulted in response, "Bipolar as ever." he commented.
"Hi, girls." Rarity greeted, "How is everything over at Crystal Prep Academy?" she asked.
Sunny smiled in response, "Oh, things at CPA have never been better since Principal Cadance took over." she shared.
"Yeah." Sour said in agreement, "She's going to let us have the fall dance on a yacht." she boasted proudly, "If we raised enough money..." she uttered while glancing off to the side.
"Ooh, sounds divine." Rarity commented in awe.
"An entire school body doing a dance event..." Ben trailed, "... on a single yacht." he emphasized in disbelief, "I see a mini-titanic happening." he stated.
Sour scoffed in response, "We'll work things out." she replied.
"Are you signing up for the 'Chance to Prance' contest, too?" Lemon assumed.
"I am!" Rarity confirmed with a chuckle before inserting her sign-up card into the box, "Are you girls here to sign up for the competition?" she asked.
"We definitely aren't here because we like standing in lines." Sugarcoat replied rather bluntly.
"I assume you already have a video concept figured out." Sour chimed in, "The competition's going to be pret-ty fierce." she added.
"Yes, it came to me as soon as I saw that gorgeous red ruffled ensemble on the way over here." Rarity answered.
This got Sour's interest, "Oh..." she uttered, "Tell me more..." she beckoned while her classmates gave off devious smiles.
"Oh!" Rarity yelped in excitement, "Well, each member of the Rainbooms is going to dance in a different style." she begun, "Like flamenco, hip-hop, or street ballet..." she listed off, "... and we'll wear costumes to match each genre." she concluded, "Designed by yours truly, of course." she added with a giggle.
"That sounds like a very good concept." Sugarcoat commented with a blank look.
"Yeah, heh, I guess it's okay." Sour admitted, "If you're going for way too over-the-top..." she mentioned in a whisper.
"Thanks!" Rarity expressed in gratitude while letting out another giggle, "So, what's your concept?" she asked.
"Nothing." Sugarcoat answered rather bluntly to which surprised her companions while Ben snickered at them with a grin, "We don't have one yet." the bespectacled girl pointed out with her friends grimacing in response.
"What she means is it's a surprise!" Sour corrected in panic, "But it's a-ma-zing!" she declared with a wave of her hands, "So original." she added.
"Oh, well, I can't wait to see it." Rarity expressed in excitement, "Good luck!" she encouraged before walking off alongside Ben.
"You, too!" Sour replied with a grin.
"Why am I getting a bad feeling about this?" Ben thought with a concern expression on his face.
-BREAK-
Canterlot City, Canterlot High School
Later that day in the Canterlot High School and inside the music room, we see the Rainbooms alongside Aine, Mahiru and Mio gathered around with Rarity explains to them her idea.
"See?" Rarity concluded, "It's a wonderful plan." she declared, "We'll write some lyrics for our new song..." she beckoned, "... and we'll choreograph some dance moves." she added while shaking her shoulders, "Then our video will win a cash prize and voilà!" she exclaimed with outstretched arms.
"You make it sound simple as pie." Applejack pointed out.
"That's because it is!" Rarity insisted, "The girls at Crystal Prep even agree." she mentioned which got the rest of the Rainboom's attention, "They're making a video, too." she shared.
Twilight raised an eyebrow in response, "They are?" she questioned in surprise.
"I-Is that a problem, darling?" Rarity stuttered in concern.
Twilight shook her head, "Oh, no, it's not." she reassured, "Just haven't heard much about my old school since I left, I guess..." she admitted while rubbing the back of her neck.
"Well, if you ask me..." Spike chimed in, "Crystal Prep has got nothin' on CHS!" he declared rather proudly, "I love it here!" he exclaimed before Fluttershy scratched his chin which made him shudder in delight, "See what I mean?" he uttered in satisfaction.
"Crystal Prep?" Mio uttered, "Is that the school where Sour Sweet attends?" she mentioned.
Sunset nodded in response, "Yep." she confirmed, "Crystal Prep is a rival school to CHS and often compete against each other through the Friendship Games." she explained.
"Friendship Games?" Aine uttered with a smile, "That's sound like a fun event!" she exclaimed in excitement.
Rainbow scoffed in response, "Actually..." she uttered, "... the event is anything but friendly." she clarified, "But that's all in the past because things will be different the next time around." she stated with a grin.
Mahiru then turns to Rarity, "Anyway..." the brunette uttered, "... is there something you need to say, Rarity?" she beckoned.
Rarity nodded in response, "Right." she confirmed before letting out a sigh, "Before we get started with the choreographing of our dance moves and eh, heh, heh..." she mumbled rather nervously while waving her left hand around, "There's just one tiny, teeny-weensy, little thing I forgot to mention..." she confessed rather sheepishly.
Sunset raised an eyebrow, "What's that?" she asked.
"Uhhhh..." Rarity uttered anxiously, "I would need to use our fundraiser money to buy costume materials for the video!" she explained rather quickly which surprised everyone in the room.
Sunset then thought about it, "Hmm..." she hummed out loud, "How much is the grand prize worth?" she inquired.
"More than double what we need to fix up Camp Everfree!" Rarity answered in excitement.
"Hah!" Rainbow let's out a laugh, "Then of course you can use the money for costumes!" she declared.
Applejack sighed, "Oh, what the hay?" she complied before standing up with the cash box in her hands, she then smiled, "Why not?" she said in agreement.
"Sweet!" Rainbow cheered with a fist pump.
"Whee-hee!" Pinkie exclaimed before zooming over and embraced Rarity with Sunset giving her a smile.
"Do you really think the prize money from this competition will be enough to help Camp Everfree?" Mio asked.
Twilight then brought out a calculator, "Well..." she uttered, "According to my calculations, if we lend Rarity the funds we've already raised..." she began while typing the numbers up onto a calculator, "... we stand to gain four times as much money as we have now!" she revealed to which everyone cheered in delight.
"That's wonderful!" Aine expressed in joy.
"With that amount, you'll have enough money to aid the camp and save some money for yourselves." Mahiru pointed out.
"But if we lose the video contest..." Twilight chimed in while adjusting her glasses, "...we'll be completely back to square one and zero dollars." she noted which made everyone in utter concern and fright, "Anyone else think this is an awfully risky endeavor?" she asked nervously before noticing the look on everyone's faces, "I mean, um, heh..." she stuttered, "Me neither…" she corrected with a nervous smile.
"All right, girls!" Rarity chimed in with her hands together, "Who's ready to shoot our winning dance music video?" she beckoned with everyone cheering in response as Applejack handed the cash box to her, "Looks like I have some fabric shopping to do!" the fashionista declared with a giggle when an idea came to mind, she then turns her attention to the trio of Aikatsu Idols, "Say..." she uttered, "... would you like to join us as well?" she offered.
This taken the three idols by surprise, "A-Are you sure?" Mahiru asked in surprise.
Rarity nodded in response, "Of course!" she confirmed, "There are no rules that you girls aren't allowed to join." she pointed out, "Besides..." she trailed, "I think this video could use a little more pizzazz!" she added.
The trio of Aikatsu Idols looks at each other for a minute before sharing a smile, "Well, if you say so, then we'll be honored to join you girls." Mio declared.
"We'll do our best!" Aine exclaimed with a smile, "Bring it on!" she cheered while doing her signature gesture.
Rarity giggled in response, "Thank you." she expressed in gratitude.
Later that day inside the gymnasium somewhere in the Canterlot High School with the stage is filled to the brim with various glamorous garments for the music video.
On the aforementioned stage, six members of the Rainbooms alongside Aine, Mahiru and Mio are gathered around while wearing their respective attires that Rarity made them wear while the aforementioned fashionista sat on a director's chair with Spike taking a nap right next to her.
Vinyl Scratch is present to provide music while Photo Finish serves as the camerawoman, Ben is also present in the area as an observer.
"Let's take it from the top one more time." Rarity called out, "Rainbow Dash, don't forget your cues." she noted, "It's when Fluttershy does her triple pirouette." she pointed out before nodding to Photo whom responded with a thumbs-up before activating the camera, Rarity then nodded her head towards Vinyl whom responded with a thumbs-up and then turning on her turntables, "And..." the fashionista trailed, "... action!" the fashionista cried out while throwing her arm down.
Pop music began play as Sunset took center stage while dancing around when Fluttershy jumped in, she pinkette tried getting into position by spinning around but only for her to accidentally kick her friend in the back, "Wah!" the bacon-haired girl yelped while stumbling forward, struggling to keep her balance in her high heels and at the same time, Rainbow slid in from the right and started dancing.
Ben cringed at the display of their performance before looking away and covering the left side of his face with both hands, "This is so cringey..." he uttered.
"Cut!" Rarity exclaimed out of frustration which caused the music to stop.
Everyone stopped upon hearing their friend's shout, "Hey!" Rainbow squawked while rubbing the back of her head, "What happened to the music?" she asked in confusion.
Rarity took a deep breath before getting up from her chair, "Fluttershy, it's supposed to be a triple pirouette." she pointed out while walking up to the stage and as this is going on, Spike woke from his nap with a long yawn before stretching out his legs.
"I know..." Fluttershy acknowledged, "It's just that..." she trailed, "Um..." she uttered, "... uh, I-I don't think I can do one of those..." she uttered in admittance.
Rarity walks up to her, "Darling, of course you can, darling." she reassured while brushing back the pinkette's long pink hair, "I believe in you." she expressed while embracing her.
"How about you try 'jazz paws' instead?" Spike suggested while standing up on his hind legs and waving his paws.
Sunset chuckled in response while adjusting the floral barrette holding her bun together, "Thanks, Spike." she said in gratitude, "But all these moves are pretty hard." she admitted.
"She had a point, Rarity." Mahiru said in agreement, "Such dance moves are not an easy feat to master by beginners on their first try." she stated.
"Oh, I know..." Rarity concurred with a frustrated grunt, "But if we want to win, we have to bring our A-game!" she beckoned rather seriously with a fist pump.
"Crystal Prep certainly will." Twilight chimed in, "They're excellent dancers." she mentioned, "And you know how they love to compete..." she mentioned rather sarcastically while rolling her eyes.
"So does the entire AWA Academy." Ben added.
Applejack then walked towards Rarity and placed her left hand onto her right shoulder, "How about we forget about the other teams and get back to dancin'?" the stetson-wearing girl advised.
"Great idea, Applejack!" Pinkie cried out while doing some sort of shuffle walk, "It's really fun!" she expressed in glee, "I haven't stopped this whole time!" she exclaimed.
Rarity sighed in response, "Let's take it from Rainbow's entrance..." she grunted while walking back to her chair and then sitting on it, "And..." she trailed, "... action!" she cried out as the music started up once more with everyone on stage resumes their respective dance routine when suddenly Sunset's left shoe accidentally ripping the bottom part of the athlete's jacket to which Rarity took notice and made her gasp in shock, "Oh!" she squeaked before zipping back on stage while taking a look on the ripped jacket, "This is a disaster!" she cried out dramatically while Rainbow looks at her with a blank look.
"Whoops..." Sunset uttered in realization, "Sorry, Rarity..." she apologized sheepishly.
"Can you fix it?" Aine asked in concern.
"Well, I can fix it..." Rarity answered, "... but I'll have to run to the fabric store before it closes." she stated before taking the jacket off from the rainbow-haired athlete, "Keep practicing while I'm gone!" she advised, "Mahiru, Mio, I'll leave you in-charge." she added, "Ahhh!" she screamed before running offstage.
Everyone watches Rarity leave the gymnasium in utter silence until Ben spoke, "Aikatsu, Aikatsu, Aikatsu, Aikatsu!" the bearer of the Omnitrix chanted in an eager tone, "Do an Aikatsu, Rainbow Dash?!" he egged.
"Very funny, Ben, very funny." Rainbow grumbled in response.
Everyone then bursts out laughing at the rainbow-haired girls' expense.
-BREAK-
Caterlot City, Canterlot Mall
Later that day in the Canterlot Mall located somewhere in Canterlot City where we see a lot of people going around while buying stuffs or just hanging around with their friends.
And at one clothing store, we see Rarity coming out from the entrance with bags in hands, "Oh, thank goodness I budgeted for backup fabric..." she uttered in relief before letting out a gasp when she saw Lemon, Sour, Sugarcoat and Sunny dancing by the fountain while wearing colorful dresses with a camera recording their performance, the pale girl rubs her eyes upon what she just witnessed, "Is that a disco-inspired look?" she uttered towards Sour, "And a street ballet tutu?!" she shrieked at Sugarcoat, "I don't believe it..." she muttered in realization, "They stole my brilliant idea!" she exclaimed in a whisper with quivering lips.

Walking inside one hallway somewhere in the AWA Academy, we see Chizuru Tachibana making his way towards an elevator and upon arriving in front of the mechanized platform, the door opens and reveals Daisuke "Davis" Motomiya standing inside, and both of them are surprised to see each other.
"Going down?" Davis assumed.
Chizuru then got into a fighting stance, "No, you are!" he argued.
And with that, the two started to beat each other inside the elevator, and both of them are going down.
