A/N: I present to you a new chapter within the realm of the Assorted Stories, introducing a fresh narrative thread situated within the Monster High universe. It has indeed been an extended period since my last engagement with a Monster High-themed tale, and thus, I find myself experiencing a touch of apprehension.

This narrative will encompass the 'Ghouls Rule' special event. Perhaps the inquiry arises as to why I have chosen 'Ghouls Rule' over the 'Friday Night Frights' narrative. The rationale is straightforward: it is centered around the character of Rochelle Goyle. It should be noted that in the chronology of the franchise, Rochelle's enrollment at Monster High occurred subsequent to my initial Monster High-related story, which is why she appeared prematurely in that context. This discrepancy was not of my own making but rather an oversight on the part of the original creators, as they included her in the early scenes of 'Escape from Skull Shores'.

While I am bypassing the 'Friday Night Frights' plotline, rest assured that I have every intention of crafting an original storyline incorporating the Skultimate Roller Maze in the near future.

Number01BlazblueFan - As long I had something to based on, I'm fine.

HanayoLover50 - Sakura will appear some time down the line.

Below are additional characters with single names who have now been given both a last name and a first name in this story:

Susanoo - Susanoo Magatama (Taken from one of his trump card, Magatama Manifestation)

Suzuka - Suzuka Matsui (Taken from her JP seiyuu, Eriko Matsui)

And with that done, let's get this chapter on the go!

Disclaimer: I do not possess any characters featured in this story, unless they are my original characters who seldomly appear.

Mahora Academy, McDowell Residence

Evangeline Athanasia Katrice McDowell's beach villa was basking in the warm glow of the sun as Chizuru Tachibana prepared to immerse himself in the depths of his subconsciousness. Standing alongside him, Evangeline and her friends, Naruto Uzumaki and Chachamaru Karakuri, watched with curiosity.

Naruto, arms folded, cast a concerned look at Chizuru, "You really sure about this, buddy?" the Konoha ninja inquired.

Chizuru took a moment before sighing, "Didn't have much of a choice, Naruto." he replied while shaking his head slightly, "Can't argue with someone who's gone off the deep end." he stated.

Evangeline couldn't help but chuckle, "Well, you do what you had to." she beckoned with an air of amusement.

Without further ado, Chizuru settled into the sand, adopting a position reminiscent of a Native American, and closed his eyes. He interlocked his fingers and took a few deep breaths before becoming eerily still.

"Becoming a Zero God, eh?" Naruto mused with a smirk, "That's definitely not something I saw coming." he admitted.

Chachamaru nodded in response, "Indeed, it's quite the unexpected turn of events." she echoed his sentiment.

"Since we've got some time to kill..." Evangeline began with her voice trailing off while glancing around, "How about we catch up on what's been happening?" she suggested with her curiosity piqued after being away on a trip to Izu, "I feel like I've missed out on a lot." she admitted.

"There are two big things going on right now." Naruto filled them, "First, there's this mission in Wano Country." he began, "And I really hope Luffy and the crew can take down one of those Four Emperors." he expressed, "And I bet it's going to be intense." he added, "And the Pro-Heroes are gearing up to face the Paranormal Liberation Front in a full-blown battle." he furthered, "The AWA's helping out with both, so let's keep our fingers crossed for good outcomes." he stated.

Evangeline's interest grew, "What about everyone else?" she questioned.

Naruto had to think for a bit, "I believe they're over at Monster High at the moment." he shared before frowning, "Halloween's almost here in that world, and I've got this weird feeling it's not going to be all fun and games." he admitted with a hint of worry.

Monster High

Simultaneously at Monster High, much like what was brought to attention by Naruto, Halloween is imminent, yet the customary festive atmosphere appears to be remarkably absent.

Within the confines of one particular classroom, Mr. Rotter has elected to instruct his pupils on the impending holiday affair, employing methods that seemingly emphasize the less favorable aspects of the celebration.

Amongst the students present in the room are Abbey Bominable, Cesaro Oohori, Cleo de Nile, Deuce Gorgon, Draculaura, Duncan Rosenblatt, Frankie Stein, Gillington "Gil" Webber, Heath Burns, Kipling, Lagoona Blue, Manny Taur, Megumi Aino, Seiji Sagara and Yuuki Asaba.

Similar to the preceding year, Mr. Rotter provided a video to his pupils with the intention of alerting them to the potential perils that may arise until the conclusion of the holiday season. Halloween is historically acknowledged as the day on which humans engage in the pursuit of monsters, and despite the dwindling number of individuals who adhere to this tradition, monsters cannot presume their safety during the days leading up to and including the holiday itself. Given that the majority of the students are acquainted with the content of the video and that no such assaults have occurred within their recorded memory, they tend to be indifferent. However, this is not the case for Frankie, who is approaching her inaugural Halloween experience.

Frankie then stood up from her seat, "Mr. Rotter, this film can't be right!" she protested, "I mean, monsters forced to run and hide?" she remarked, "Normies coming to get us?" she added.

"You know, it doesn't matter where you go in the world, you're always going to come across humans who discriminate against other species." Yuuki commented.

Oohori nodded in agreement, "Mm-hmm, that's so true." he murmured.

"I was out strolling in the neighborhood the other day, and some folks couldn't help but question why I'm hanging around here at Monster High." Seiji shared his experience.

Megumi huffed in response, "Honestly, you'd think people would learn to keep their noses out of other people's affairs." she gently scolded.

"That is the unfortunate history of Halloween!" Rotter declared.

"Mr. Rotter, dude..." Deuce interrupted which earned him an eyebrow from the phantom, "I mean, sir dude." the gorgon corrected and phantom smiled in response, "You make us watch that boring old film every year, and every year nothing happens." the shades-wearing boy pointed out.

"How many times that was?" Duncan questioned.

Clawdeen rolled her eyes in response, "More times that I can count." she replied.

"Deuce, dude." Rotter said to which Deuce grinned in response, "May I remind you of the old saying." the phantom started, "Those of you who forget the lessons of history will be doomed to repeat them!" he quoted out loud.

"I repeated history once." Heath chimed while picking up a book, "But that was 'cause I accidentally burned my book." he shared when he accidentally set the book on fire again, "Whoa!" he shouted in shock.

Abbey was quick to react and blasted an ice beam at his hand, and the book was now trapped in a block of ice, which sent the room into fits of laughter.

"Students!" Rotter called out, "I assure you this is no laughing matter." he affirmed, "Halloween is only days away!" he reminded.

"But my magazine said this is a fun time with costumes and candy and..." Frankie was in the middle of saying something when Cleo cut her off by quickly grabbing the magazine from her hand.

"Frankie, these normie magazines are jammed full of lies." Cleo declared, "See?" she beckoned while flipping some pages, "Nottie to Hottie in four easy steps!" she read out loud, "Please!" she scoffed, "You're either born with it or you're not." she beckoned.

"It wasn't until I hit puberty that I found out I'm born as a half-dragon." Duncan grumbled while clearly irritated.

"Even though the normies in this world may seem like they can be trusted, all rules go out the window on Halloween!" Rotter relayed before gesturing a hand towards Oohori and others, "We've already seen what our normie friends from another world can do." the phantom reminded, "Who knows what the normies in this world might be capable of?" he stated out loud.

"I mean, we actually had powers, would we still be seen as normies?" Seiji wondered out loud.

Megumi took a moment to ponder, "That's a good point you're raising there." she replied thoughtfully.

All of a sudden, the school bell chimed loudly and everyone began to stand up from their chairs, "Not so fast!" Rotter shouted which halted everyone's tracks, "We will continue this discussion tomorrow." he declared.

Rotter then throws this smoke bomb down, and suddenly there's smoke everywhere, like a thick fog in a horror movie. Everyone's just standing there, shocked and not sure what the heck is going on. But when the smoke finally clears, everyone saw him fumbling with a bookshelf, looking like he totally messed up his big escape moment.

Oohori and Yuuki come striding over with magazines rolled up like they're about to swat a fly, except the fly is Rotter. They start whacking him playfully with them.

"Dude, you've got to get better at this escape thing!" Oohori scolded while giving him a bit of a hard time.

"Ow, okay, okay!" Rotter whined while rubbing where he got smacked, "I'll work on it, I promise!" he exclaimed.

Later on, students spilled into the hallways like a river of chattering teenagers, eager to escape the confines of their classrooms. Among them are Kurumu Kurono, Mizore Shirayuki and Moka Akashiya whom navigated the crowd with a sense of urgency, their laughter echoing off the walls. They approached a peculiar group that had gathered near the lockers—a quartet of tuxedo-clad frogmen, their bulging eyes scanning the hallway as if searching for someone in particular.

"What on earth are those guys doing here?" Mizore whispered while her curiosity piqued by the unusual group.

"Looks like they're looking for someone." Kurumu assumed with her eyes narrowing as she studied the frogs' anxious expressions.

Moka, ever the optimist, waved cheerfully, "Hello there!" she called out.

The frogmen swiveled in their direction and their gazes locking onto the trio. They approached them while moving with a surprising grace for their amphibious attire.

"Excuse me." one spoke with his voice a croaky yet understandable, "We are looking for Miss Tsuyu Asui." he relayed, "We have a matter of great importance to discuss with her." he claimed.

"Well..." Kurumu began with a mischievous smirk, "Tsuyu is currently unavailable." she shared, "She's currently taking part in an all-out-war." she revealed.

The frogmen's expressions grew even more frantic, "An all-out-war?!" one squawked, "Is she in danger?" he asked in concern.

"Don't worry." Mizore whispered in assurance, "She's got everything under control." she said, "She's pretty tough, you know, for someone with frog-based abilities." she added.

The frogmen looked at each other and their concern palpable. "We must help her!" the spokesperson exclaimed.

Moka placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry." she reassured, "She's got a team of friends who are equally as powerful." she shared, "And besides..." she trailed, "You wouldn't want to miss the Halloween festivities, would you?" she asked, "I'm sure she'd be upset if she knew you were fighting her battles instead of enjoying the holiday." she remarked.

The spokesperson seemed to consider this before nodding slowly, "Very well." he conceded, "We shall partake in Halloween and await Miss Tsuyu's return." he stated, "Tell her we wish her victory in her battles." he beckoned.

With a promise to pass on the message, the girls watched the frogmen hop away, their tuxedo tails flapping behind them. The three friends couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation but also felt a twinge of admiration for Tsuyu.

"Well, that was certainly unexpected." Mizore whispered while shaking her head.

Elsewhere in the school corridor, Jackson Jekyll is casually strolling along, his gaze glued to his phone screen, when he accidentally crashes into Manny. The teen minotaur looks up and gives him a stern look.

"Watch it, normie!" Manny warned.

"I'm part monster, too, Manny." Jackson said before putting on his headphones, "See?" he beckoned and he immediatelt transforms into Holt Hyde, "Finally!" the alter-ego cheered, "Woo!" he hollered, "Sweet music, thank you!" he expressed in gratitude, "I been trapped in that nerdy normie for way too long!" he declared while checking on his phone, "Oh, man, battery's low!" he pointed out, "I better rock this school while I can!" he exclaimed before skipping off, "Yeah!" he shouted out loud while Manny sighed in disbelief.

Strolling down the same school corridor, Clawd Wolf, Clawdeen, Draculaura and Duncan were caught up in a chat.

"Oh, Clawdeen, I'm totes excited!" Draculaura cheered.

Holt then skipped past them, "Yeah!" his echoing in the hallway.

"Our double date is tonight!" Draculaura declared.

Clawdeen rolled her eyes in response, "Gee!" she uttered out loud, "A double date with you, my brother and Firebreather." she listed off, "How could a ghoul pass that up?" she replied sarcastically.

"Oh, come on, don't be so stubborn." Draculaura chided, "It might be fun!" she insisted.

"I think it's a nice change of pace, Clawdeen." Duncan gestured invitingly.

Clawdeen folded her arms and let out a sigh, "Okay, I'll bite." she said with a playful smile, "No pun intended." she added.

"I have to admit, I'm a bit bummed that you guys kept your dating a secret from me." Draculaura revealed, "If I'd known earlier, I could've had your back." she pointed out.

"Draculaura..." Clawdeen began with her voice trailing off slightly, "... Duncan and I decided to keep our relationship status on the down-low for now because we didn't want to add any extra pressure on him." she clarified, "You know how his last relationship went." she reminded gently.

"And I really appreciate you considering my feelings, Clawdeen." Duncan said with a warm smile.

Clawdeen returned the smile, "Of course, Firebreather." she replied.

"I see where you're coming from." Draculaura conceded.

Frankie then walked towards them, "Hey, ghouls, um..." she trailed, "What do you know about Halloween?" she asked when someone slammed their locker door loud from behind, "AAAAH!" the simulacrum shrieked in fright.

Clawdeen facepalmed, "Oh, no." she grumbled.

"Did Mr. Rotter show that ridiculous old film again?" Clawd asked in amusement.

"I'm so confused." Frankie shared, "I don't know what to believe." she declared.

"Trust me, ghoulfriend." Clawdeen beckoned, "You got nothing to worry about." she reassured, "Right, Draculaura?" she asked the vampire right next to her.

"Well, I can only speak from personal experience, but..." Draculaura trailed, "Normies were the whole reason my family fled my old village to come here." she revealed when reminiscing the time that some human mistaken the tomato juice on her mouth for blood, "All it takes is one little misunderstanding, and before you know it, out come the pitchforks and torches and bags and chains and..." she was trying to say when Clawdeen interrupted her.

"How is that helping?" Clawdeen questioned in disbelief.

"Sorry." Draculaura apologized while looking at the nervous-wrecked Frankie, "On the plus side, I never would've met any of you if we hadn't moved here." the vampire consolated with a nervous smile.

"Tell you what, Frankie." Clawdeen began while placing a hand on Frankie's left shoulder, "On Halloween, we can all have a slumber party at my house, 'kay?" she suggested, "We'll all be safe and sound together." she declared.

"You can all tell scary normie stories." Clawd added, "Like the one about the farmer who steals the souls of..." he was trying to say when Clawdeen held out a ball in front of him and his face lit up with excitement, "A ball!" the teen werewolf cheered as Clawdeen tossed the ball aside, "I got it!" he exclaimed and went after the ball in all fours.

"I've got some spooky 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark' books you can borrow." Duncan offered with a sly smile.

Clawdeen just rolled her eyes and gave him a light elbow nudge, "Come on, Firebreather." she teased, "Give it a rest with the scary stuff." she beckoned.

As Clawd sprints after the ball, zooming past Cleo and Deuce as they stand chatting in front of a line of lockers.

Deuce leaned his back on a stone pillar with his arms crossed, "Come on, you don't really believe all that stuff about normies, do you?" he informed.

"Uh, yeah, I do." Cleo admitted while closing her locker, "Deuce, my mummy..." she trailed, "My daddy taught me a long time ago that the normies in this world are not to be trusted." she shared.

"Your dad says lots of stuff, Cleo." Deuce pointed out, "Doesn't mean it's true." he reasoned.

At that precise moment, Chapatsu Doi, Lester Unlikely and Scott Howl proceeded down the corridor, each exhibiting their distinctive gait.

Chapatsu bore an expression of self-assurance, his gaze elevated and his hands nestled in his pockets. In contrast, Scott presented a visage of joviality, maintaining an erect posture with his chest slightly protruded and his arms moving in a rhythmic swing. Lester, however, approached with a somewhat vacant demeanor, his eyes seemingly unfocused.

"Cleo, just check them out." Deuce gestured, "They've been joined at the hip since they became friends." he pointed out, "It's pretty amazing, right?" he complimented, "With Scott being a creature of the night and Chapatsu & Lester being normies." he stated.

"Well, Deuce..." Cleo trailed, "Chapatsu and Lester are alright with me, and so does everyone from AWA." she admitted, "But they only got my back because they're from another world entirely." she furthered, "But when it comes to the regular humans here, it's a whole different ballgame." she concluded.

Meanwhile, Clawdeen, Draculaura, Duncan and Frankie are engaged in a leisurely promenade and lively discourse, remaining utterly unconscious of the projectiles—specifically, eggs—that are being cast against the expansive windows they happen to pass by.

"Don't let them scare you, Frankie." Clawdeen advised, "Halloween is really no biggie." she reassured.

Just then, Spectra Vondergeist appear before them, "Ghouls!" she called out, "Breaking news!" she interrupted, "It's epic!" she added.

"Not now, Spectra." Clawdeen dismissed.

"But, look!" Spectra insisted with a finger pointed at the windows.

Everyone's gaze shot to where Spectra was pointing, and they couldn't believe their eyes. Eggs were smacking against the windows and bursting open, causing them all to gasp in shock.

"Are those rotten eggs?" Duncan questioned in confusion.

With hearts racing and filled with shock, Clawdeen, Draculaura, Duncan, Frankie and Spectra rushed out of the school when they saw the others waiting outside and quickly joined them.

Amongst those present outside are Abbey, Chapatsu, Clawd, Cleo, Deuce, Gil, Heath, Holt, Howleen Wolf, Kipling, Kurumu, Lagoona, Lester, Manny, Megumi, Mizore, Moka, Mr. Rotter, Oohori, Seiji, Scott and Yuuki.

The sight that greeted their eyes was absolutely horrifying because their school was a mess, plastered with tissue paper and eggs everywhere.

"Ugh!" Frankie groaned in shock.

"What chaos!" Spectra exclaimed, "What a story!" she added.

"Whoa!" Clawdeen uttered out loud.

"Oh man, this totally seems like something Ed and Eddy would do!" Oohori exclaimed, "Are those two actually here in this world with us?" he wondered out loud.

Yuuki gave a quick shake of his head, "Nope and I'm pretty positive they're currently hanging out in Wano." he replied.

"What kind of person would do something like that?" Megumi questioned and is clearly upset.

"I might have had a hunch." Seiji replied thoughtfully.

Gil then placed a hand on Lagoona's shoulder, "Check it out." the fresh-water monster beckoned in distress.

Just then, Cleo pushed herself between Gil and Lagoona, "Oh, my, Ra!" the mummy gasped in shock, "What is going on here?!" she demanded, "I demand to..." she was trying to say when everyone heard a honking noise.

Everybody's attention quickly snapped to the source of the honking noise and there it was: a big red Hummer truck with two stocky teenagers wearing matching varsity jackets and these ridiculous monster masks, standing proudly in front of it.

Before anyone could react, these two goons tossed a bunch of eggs at the group. Manny and Howleen managed to duck down just in time but poor Cleo wasn't so lucky. The eggs smacked into her, sending rotten egg yolk flying everywhere. It was like a stinky, slimy explosion all over her body.

"Oh my Ra, no way!" Cleo shrieked and is absolutely mortified.

"There's more where that came from, you monster freaks!" the first teen shouted out loud.

"This is gonna be the worst Halloween of your lives!" the second teen declared.

The two jocks wearing varsity jackets hopped into their Hummer truck without wasting a beat and sped out of the academy's gates like they owned the place.

"You gotta be kidding me!" Chapatsu yelled out loud, "Come back here, you low-lives!" he demanded.

Without a second thought, Chapatsu, Lester and Scott jumped into their own yellow Hummer truck and took off after the troublemakers who'd wreaked havoc on their school.

"Oh, my goodness, Frankie!" Clawdeen exclaimed with her eyes wide with worry while staring at her friend, "What's wrong?" she asked.

Draculaura rushed over to Frankie's side with a look of concern etched on her face, "You okay?" she asked gently.

"Oh, my ghoul!" Frankie moaned while holding her head in her hands, "Oh, my ghoul!" she repeated and her voice filled with anguish, "Oh, my ghoul!" she said once more and the words echoing through the area.

Duncan couldn't believe his ears, "Seriously?" he questioned, "If that ancient movie didn't do her in, then what on earth happened?" he wondered aloud with his tone a mix of shock and disbelief.

"What the heck?" Oohori squawked, "Where'd those guys pop up from?" he questioned.

"Lookin' back at their jackets..." Yuuki trailed while squinting slightly, "... it seems like they're from New Salem High." he shared.

A/N: Thank you for taking the time to read this chapter, I appreciate your support and I hope you found it enjoyable.

The next chapter will continue the rest of the storyline, so please look forward for it.

Until then paalam!

In the middle of a city overrun by zombies, Frank West and Yoshitake Tanaka were desperately trying to outrun one of the undead monsters. Yoshitake was clearly exhausted from the chase, and he is panting and sweating bullets.

Then, something strange happened, Yoshitake had had enough, "You know what?" he yelled out loud and his voice filled with frustration, "Screw this!" he cursed out loud and with surprising grit, he turned to face the zombie and sank his teeth into its arm with a sickening crunch.

You wouldn't believe it but right before their eyes, the zombie transformed back into a regular guy, "I FEEL SO ALIVE!" the dude screamed in joy.

Frank? He was just standing there and stunned at what he'd just seen a it was like something out of a comic book but way too real.
