The doors to the city hall were open when Avrail and Mike showed up for the town meeting. This was their first meeting and they wanted to be there a little early. When they walked in there were a few people in the front, they were discussing some matters quietly. Avrail and Mike took their seats, and waited for the rest of the guests to show up. The total number of residence at the meeting was 52 people, they started the meeting. The meeting started with details about the two people who were murdered, then they began on how to keep their town safe. They were discussing unusual activities, when a gentleman came in with news about the case, he said his name was Terrence and he knew who the murderers were. He went on to tell them that a group of Vampires did it and they were setup at the Forks side of the beach next to La-push. The room gasped, Avrail wasn't sure if she believed him, but he wanted to show us where they were. Some of the people agreed to go and some others wanted to stay at the meeting. Mike wanted to go and Avrail wanted to see too.
On the drive Avrail asked Mike what he thought the chances were that the Suspicious Man was still at the beach. Mike replied that he thought they were gone by now but hopefully there would be something else to see. When they arrived at the beach, Avrail were there last in line of 18 people heading to the spot that Terence told them about. When they got 80 feet away, Avrail saw 2 people that Terrence was telling the meeting guest about. Just when she thought they spotted them, a few large wolves appeared and dragged the 2 drifter away. Avrail turned to Mike, then started running after grabbing his hand. She heard screaming behind them, she wanted to get away from the spot as fast as possible. They got in their car then went back to the meeting. after getting into the building, the others showed up behind them. A group leader stood up and spoke to the group, and announced that they had only seen a few wild wolves and that someone was on the phone to report the incident. Terence had also returned, but nobody believed that there was enough proof for his theory. The meeting ended soon after, and Terence decided to leave too.
On the way home Avrail asked Mike if he believed Terence story, Mike replied no. Then he said that wolves seemed to come out of nowhere, and he would keep in touch with the town about the search party. On the way home Avrail thought she saw another big wolf in the woods, but she was probably just jumpy. She had heard that once you see something unusual, you'd think you'd see it again. After getting home, Avrail and Mike went to start a fire in the backyard. The fire pit was warming up the cold air very well. Avrail cuddled into Mike, and said that the wolves must have been the noise that they heard every night. Mike agreed and as they sat their, she was relieved that the noise didn't continue.
