Mike was released from the hospital and had been home for a few days. Avrail was looking at a two lined stick she had peed on, when there was a knock at the door, it was Eric and Angela. They didn't look happy. Angela came past Avrail and told her that Eric had kissed Jessica. Mike came in the room, he must have overheard the conversation. Avrail asked what happened, Angela told them Jessica asked Eric to come over to look at a security issue, then she kissed him. Avrail didn't know what to say, she didn't know Jessica wasn't dating anyone, she didn't seem like she would be single for long. Eric explained that the kiss didn't last long and Angela started to calm down. They left to makeup for the mistake soon after arriving. Avrail giggled and cuddled into Mike, she was resting her head by his t-shirt sleeve, when she remember'd the stick in the bathroom. She decided to wait until she had a doctors appointment to talk to Mike about it.
The waiting room was mostly empty at the forks clinic, Dr. Cullen was working there that day. The nurse called Avrail in and she was told to pee in a cup, after being lead to a bathroom. She was waiting in the one of the patient rooms when the nurse came in and told her congratulations, she was pregnant. She said that doctor would like to give her a ultrasound today, because of the accident her and Mike were in, a few weeks ago. Avrail waited for the Doctor to come in. Dr. Cullen walked in and introduced himself, then they were looking at a screen with a little guy that was shaped like a chicken nugget. Dr Cullen informed her that she was 8 weeks along and gave her a few picture to take home.
The sporting store Isles were empty when Avrail went to find Mike there, she saw him in the back room looking for inventory. She went back there, then told him she was at the doctors, he said why, is something wrong? She laughed and said no were gonna have a baby. He looked shocked for a moment then he told her congratulations, and he was happy to be able to give her this baby. Avrail stayed with him a few hours until his shift was over.
After dinner they were out back by the fire pit, Avrail asked if he thought the baby would be able to blend in with the wolf and vampire town factor. Mike said it shouldn't be too different to raise a baby in a enhanced world than in a normal one. Avrail was happy with that answer. She asked him if he liked Sasha for a girl name, he said it was too soon for him to decide. Although she loved the conversation she wanted him to be able to take time to get used to the idea of the baby. She snuggled into Mike and watched as the embers crackled into the fire.
