Avrail opened her eyes and rolled by Mike, he was still sleeping. She was 10 weeks along now and the morning sickness was always worse in the mornings. She cuddled into Mike and smelled his t-shirt hoping to cover-up her other senses. It lasted for 10 minutes, but then she ways running to the bathroom. Mike was starting to wake-up when she left the bathroom. She told him she was going to get something to drink and went downstairs.
They were at the sporting store when Paul came in, he said he was browsing, and then told Avrail that he could hear the baby's heartbeat. Avrail was surprised, and asked what it sounded like, he said like a constant howl against her belly. She gave him a hug and he told her to be careful because they had a sense that something was going to be in the area. She replied that she would and he left. As her and Mike were leaving the store they saw that there was a wolf in the middle of the streets. It turned and left soon after.
As they were driving home a group of vampires appears out of the woods. They were close to home so they decided to drive further down the highway. The were keeping up with the car and Avrail could see that the three of them were determined. Then the wolves appeared by the car, and soon after the vampires were torn apart.
Avrail and Mike drove home, and she was relieved that the vampires were easily taken care of. Mike did his best to calm her down, and he was very attentive to her having enough time to process the night. The were having another town meeting the next day, she wanted to bring it up that the attacks didn't stop.
When she and Mike arrived at the City hall for their meeting, it was full just like the first time. When she was seated, she saw that Terrance was a the meeting again. Avrail waited for the meeting to start. Terrance came up to the podium and told them that he knew the last meeting didn't go as planned but he hoped this one would. He then told them he was a part of a group that trained to fight Vampires. Then he left some flyers for the information on it. He said they would be training in a field in Seattle.
Avrail was relived that Terrance had came to the meeting. She was at home with Mike, and they were watching a vampire movie. It was one of the older ones, where the vampire wore a cape and had fangs. The vampire had opened his mouth and showed his fangs, then holy water was thrown at him. He was stabbed in the chest soon after. That was the end of it for the vampire. Avrail knew it was a little more difficult than that, but hopefully she could learn to be independent with the vampire attacks.
