He lost his mother during child birth. His father, being a comedian, named his son as more of a joke without knowing tragedy had struck. Lotus doesn't realize he can legally change his name.
One day he was wandering through life when he ran into Maximilian Pegasus who offered him a job. Lotus, who was down on his luck, accepted the job.
A year later he was critical in the defense of Industrial Illusions from a group of rogue duelists.
