AN: Sorry for another short chapter, but I hope you enjoy.

Jason looked at his hand. He hid an evil smile and looked at Lotus before drawing his card.

"First! I'll activate the ritual spell Contract with the Abyss!" Two cauldrons appeared on the battlefield and Jason played a card. "I'll use Archfiend Commander to ritual Summon Archfiend's Awakening!"

The Archfiend Commander was absorbed into the Cauldrons and a spell circle appeared on the battlefield, a clawed hand reaching out of it.

An Archfiend that looked like Summoned Skull crawled out of the Spell Circle and stood on the field before it let out a staticky growl before it let loose a surge of lightning.

"Next! I'll equip it with Axe of Despair and Archfiends Staff of Despair! It's attack is increased from 2500 to 3500, and I can cut your Monsters attacks in half of my Archfiend's Awakening!"

"Jeez!" Joey yelled. "Dat's overpowad as hell!"

"You guys have this in the bag!" Tristan yelled.

"You can do it guys!" TéA cheered.

"Just believe in the heart of the cards guys!" Yugi yelled.

"You can do it Jason!" Mokuba and Kazutaka yelled.

"I Must say that Young Jason has found a marvelous way to control the Archfiends." Pegasus said.

"It's his Duel Disk." Kaiba growled.

"Really?"

"Yeah. He made it to contain the power it the Archfiends."

"Marvelous."

"I end!" Jason challenged.

"I draw!" The man said, looking at his hand. "And I end!"

"And you lose!" Pegasus said.

"What!" The two mercenaries yelled.

"Yes! While playing on Industrial Illusions property you must play by the Duelist Kingdom Rules! Therefore, you lose!"

"What! No!"

"I'm sorry." Pegasus said. "If you do not have a monster, you can play the you are disqualified. Those are the rules. Lotus. You're turn."

Lotus looked at his hand and drew a card. "Well." Lotus said. "I play Ghostrick Shot. It allows me to special summon a Ghostrick Monster from my hand or graveyard and I'll special summon Ghostrick Doll. Next, I'll set a card in my Spell and Trap Zone. Finally, I'll switch Ghostrick Doll to Facedown Defense position. I end."

The Lieutenant looked at the Commander and vowed revenge against Pegasus. "I draw!" He yelled. "I'll play Block Attack on your Archfiend's Awakening! Next, I'll play Needle Burrower and attack your Archfiends Awakening!"

A giant red Scorpion appeared on the battlefield and chattered at Archfiend's Awakening before it Charged and struck.

Archfiends Awakening Knelt and crossed his arms over his chest before the Needle Burrower charged.

The Needle Burrower struck Archfiend's Awakening with its stinger.

"HA!" The Lieutenant laughed! "Now you take damage... what?" He asked as the smoke cleared to show Archfiend's Awakening still on the field.

"Oh. Didn't you know?" Jason asked.

"Know what!"

"Archfiend's Awakening can only be destroyed by another Ritual Monster."

"WHAT!"

"Way ta play Jay!" Joey yelled.

"Yes!" The friends cheered.

"If he can keep that card on the battlefield..." Kaiba said. "... he'll win for sure."

"Not quite Kaiba." Montgomery Said. "There are ways around it."

"NO!" The Lieutenant Said.

"Do you end?" Jason asked.

"Yes!"

"I draw!" Jason looked at the card he drew. "I'll play Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning!"

"YES!" Mokuba cheered.

"I Switch Archfiends Awakening to Face up attack position and activate Archfiend's Staff of Despair! Your Needle Burrower loses 1750 attack!"

"WHAT! NO!"

"And not only that, but you take half of your Needle Burrowers attack as effect damage since it was destroyed by an effect!"

"Yes!" The friends cheered.

"NO!" The Lieutenant yelled as his Life Points dropped.

Lieutenant: 3150

"I end!" Jason passed his turn to Lotus.

"I draw." Lotus said. "And I play a card in the Spell and Trap Zone. Then I summon Ghostrick Skeleton to the battlefield. Hey." He looked at Jason. "Can I do something?"

"Go for it." Jason said.

"Thanks. Then I flip up my Ghostrick Doll into Face up attack position and flip all other monsters into Facedown Defense position."

Jason flipped his Archfiends into Facedown defense position and sent the equip cards to the graveyard.

"Sorry." Lotus said.

"Just do what you need to do to win."

"Lotus." Pegasus said. "Your Ghostrick's Are amazing, and you're doing a great job so far, but don't worry if you lose. Your Ghostrick's aren't suited for Duelist Kingdom Rules."

"What!" The Colonel yelled. "You sent one of your own on a suicide mission!"

"Unlike Kelpie, I have faith in my employees." Pegasus countered. "You can do this Lotus."

Lotus nodded. "I special Summon Ghostrick Ghoul from my deck using Ghostrick Doll's ability, and I'll end."

"I draw!" The Lieutenant snarled. "I'll play Swords of Revealing Light!"

Radiant energy filled the Duel Hall and Jason's Archfiend's were forced into attack position, snarling, wailing, and gnashing their teeth at the holy light.

Jason felt the urge to hide away from the light but stood his ground.

Lotus's Ghostrick's looked a little weaker due to the holy light.

"Next! I'll play King Tiger Wanghu!"

Lotus's Ghostrick's screamed in pain as they were destroyed by King Tiger Wanghu's presence.

Lotus Limetree: 3200

"Now. I'll end!"

"My turn!" Jason snarled. "I draw, and then I'll Gemini Summon my Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning!"

"And do what!" The Lieutenant demanded. "You ain't got shit you can do."

"Wrong!" Jason snarled. "I activate Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning's effect!"

"What does that do!?"

"Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning! Lightning Wave!"

Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning turned away from the light and let out a wave of Lightning that blasted King Tiger Wanghu, Destroying it. "And since it was destroyed by an effect, you know what that means."

Lieutenant: 2300

"NO!"

"I end."

Lotus drew a card and sighed before placing his hand on his deck. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any monster that I can play. You're on Your own."

"You did great." Jason encouraged. "I'll take it from here."

"Don't worry Lotus." Pegasus said. "You did fine. Like I said, your Ghostrick's are amazing, just not suited for Duelist Kingdom Rules."

"I draw!" The Lieutenant said. "I play a Monster in facedown defense position and end!"

"I'll draw..."

"I FLIP MY NOBLEMAN-EATER BUG UP DESTROYING YOUR MONSTERS!"

Jason Todd: 1500

"What!" Mokuba and Kazutaka yelled.

"No!" Joey and Tristan yelled.

"Jason!" Yugi and TéA yelled.

"Okay." Jason said. "Because you destroyed my Archfiend's Awakening, I get to special summon a Summoned Skull." He played a Summoned Skull that appeared on the battlefield with a roar and a screech. "Next I Play Beast of Talwar."

"WHAT!"

"Yeah. I end, and so does your Swords of Revealing Light!"

"What! No, no, no, no!"

"Yes! Now play or forfeit!"

"I draw!" The Lieutenant laughed and played a card. "I play Burden of the Mighty! It cuts your Monsters attacks by 100 for every level."

Jason watched as his Summoned Skull dropped from 2500 to 1900 and his Beast of Talwar drop from 2400 to 1800.

"What Are you going to do now that I play King Tiger Wanghu!?"

"Do you end?"

"What?"

"Do. You. End?"

"Yes."

"I'll draw." Jason Said. "Next. I'll play Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and Polymerization!"

The Dueling Arena went Quiet as Red-Eyes and Summoned Skull fused together to create...

Black Skull Dragon

A massive Dragon wearing bone armor appeared on the battlefield and roared in outrage, and Jason watched its attack drop from 3200 to 2300.

"Black Skull Dragon! Attack King Tiger Wanghu! Hellfire Fireball Blast!"

An inferno of Hellfire filled the room and rushed King Tiger Wanghu, killing it instantly and dealing 600 points of damage to the Lieutenant.

Lieutenant: 1700

"I end."

"I draw and set a Monster in Facedown defense position. And I'll end."

"I draw!"

"I flip my Fiber Jar up and activate it's effect sending all cards in our hands, fields, and graveyards to our decks where we shuffle and draw five new cards!"

Jason did so and drew five new cards before he drew his card for the turn. "I'll set two cards in my spell and trap Zone..." Two holographic cards appeared in the air. "...Next I'll play Archfiend Soldier, and end!"

"I draw!" The Lieutenant yelled before he began laughing. "This is too perfect! I play Burden of the Mighty, and Swords of Revealing Light, followed by King Tiger Wanghu! Next, I'll attack your Weak Archfiend Soldier with King Tiger Wanghu!"

Archfiend Soldier groaned in pain as King Tiger Wanghu killed him.

Jason Todd: 1300

"Do you end?" Jason asked.

"Yes!"

"I draw and play Emissary of Pandemonium!" Jason said as the Emissary of Pandemonium weakened from the Burden of the Mighty. "Sick 'im." He told the Emissary who mauled King Tiger Wanghu. "I end."

Lieutenant: 1500

"I draw!" The Lieutenant yelled. "I set a Card in my Spell and Trap Zone and a Monster in Facedown Defense Position! And I end!"

"I flip up my trap cards, Nightmare Archfiends and Solemn Wishes! Then I draw a card increasing my Life points to 1800."

Jason Todd: 1800

"Yes!" Mokuba cheered.

"No!" The Lieutenant yelled.

"I'll play Archfiend Soldier and I'll attack your Face down."

The Lieutenant smiled and cackled when he flipped his Catapult Turtle up and Jason's Emissary of Pandemonium bit down on hardened shell with a crack and a whimper.

Jason Todd: 1700

Jason glared at the Lieutenant. "I end."

"I'll draw and set a card in the spell and trap zone, and a Monster in Facedown defense position. I end."

"I'll draw." Jason said. "Gaining an additional 500 life points."

Jason Todd: 2200

"I'll play the Beast of Talwar, and I'll attack your other facedown monster."

"And I'll destroy your Emissary of Pandemonium and Beast of Talwar with my Nobleman-Eater Bugs effect!" The Lieutenant cackled.

Jason Todd: 350

"Jason!" His friends yelled.

"TODD!" Kaiba yelled.

Jason felt a jolt of energy run through him and he looked at the Lieutenant. "Do you end?"

"Yes!" The Lieutenant cackled. "Take Your last Pathetic Turn!"

Jason could hear his heartbeat pounding in his ears as time slowed down. He grabbed a card to draw. "I draw." He spoke.

Jason Todd: 850

"I play Pot of Greed!"

Jason Todd: 1850

"I play Terrorking Archfiend."

"Yes!" Mokuba cheered. "Did you get it?"

Jason smiled at Mokuba.

"YES!"

"What! What did you get!" The Lieutenant demanded.

"I sacrifice Archfiend Soldier and play Checkmate!"

"YES!" His friends burst into cheers and applause.

"What! WHAT DOES CHECKMATE DO!"

"Terrorking Archfiend. Attack his life points directly! Unholy Demonic Slash!"

"No!" The Lieutenant yelled as Terrorking Archfiend ran at him, past his defenses, and attacked his life points directly for 1600.

Lieutenant: -100.

"YES!" Jason's friends cheered.

"NO!" The Lieutenant yelled. "You cheated! If you hadn't have cheated."

"How did I cheat?" Jason asked.

"By playing with those Rules! Those rules are rigged!"

"Excuse me!?" Pegasus asked. "Who was it who broke onto who's island and castle when I had guests. For Ra's sakes there are children here!"

"Just give us what we want, and we'll leave."

"If you recall I said that you could take as many cards as you can carry if you win."

"I think we'll be taking this cards anyway." The Colonel pulled a gun on Pegasus.

"You don't scare me." Pegasus said.

"How about now." The Colonel pointed the gun at TéA.

"NO!" Yugi yelled jumping in front of TéA.

KRAACK-COOM!

The sound of a gunshot echoed through the Duel Hall as the Colonel fell to the floor, dead.

Everyone turned to see Jason holding a smoking gun.

The Lieutenant pulled out his gun and aimed at Jason only to end up with his head clutched in one of Saru's massive fist's.

"We gave you ample opportunity to leave." Saru menaced. "Now you'll pay."

The Lieutenant pointed at Saru, only to be kicked by Kaeru.

A horrifying crunch was heard as the Lieutenant went slack and Saru dropped him.

"What did you do!?" TéA asked.

"They were a threat to Mister Kaiba and Mokuba." Saru said. "We did our jobs."

The room was suddenly filled with two dozen Mercenaries who came running at the sound of the gunshot. When they saw the Colonel and Lieutenant they attacked.

"RUN!" Montgomery yelled, activating Labyrinth Wall.

Jason jumped on top of the Labyrinth Wall and looked at the Mercenaries. "You have four options. You can either leave now and never come back. You can die where you stand. You can run through the maze and duel the other Duelists inside the maze, or you can get lost in the maze and hunted down. Your choice."

Two of the Mercenaries left the castle, never to return. Five of them looked at Jason and aimed their weapons at him.

Those five were promptly placed in Duel Monsters cards.

"Anyone Else?" Jason asked.

"What happens if we beat the Duelists inside the maze?" A mercenary asked.

"Congratulations. You avenged your Colonel."

"I can live with that."

"How are we going to duel in there?" Another Mercenary asked.

Jason tossed a bag at their feet. "With those."

The Mercenaries looked inside and found Duel Disk's. They placed them on their arms and activated them before placing their decks in the deck slot.

"Now." Jason Said. "Get in there and Duel or leave. I don't care which." and ran across the top of the Labyrinth until he jumped down and disappeared.
