It had been a week since Spring Break at Industrial Illusions, and it was just another day in Domino City as TéA ran to Kamé Game Shop.

"Good morning Mr. Muto." She spoke.

"Ah TéA. Yugi's upstairs getting ready. I'll call him for you. Would you like something to drink?"

"Uh, no thanks. We're already late."

"Yugi!" Grandpa called up to Yugi's room. "TéA's here!"

Yugi looked at the deck he'd built at Industrial Illusions. Had it really happened? Had he really gotten this deck and card from Industrial Illusions?

He put the deck in his deck box on his belt and looked at his Millennium Puzzle. He'd bought a heavy duty chain link necklace so it wasn't on a weak and flimsy string anymore.

He put it on. "I'm coming Grandpa!" He looked in the mirror once more. 'The Chain should keep anyone from stealing the Millennium Puzzle.'

Jason facepalmed when he felt sheer stupidity in the air.

"What's wrong?" Kazutaka asked, pulling on her uniform shirt, and pulled her hair out the top.

"I don't know. I feel like someone just said the dumbest thing ever."

"Huh. Okay. I'm off to work."

"Have a good day at work." He said giving her a quick peck on the cheek.

Kazutaka grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him into a searing kiss.

"I'll see you later tonight." He spoke.

"See you tonight." She said as she left.

'We're e going to need the Millennium Puzzle Even more now." The Pharaoh Said.

"We Are?" Yugi asked the Pharaoh's reflection. "What do ya mean by that?"

"The Millennium Puzzle connects us Yugi, and I sense fate has more in store for us."

"Oh." Yugi said. "Well, We're in This together no matter what.

"Good." The Pharaoh Said as Yugi grabbed his school bag. "I wish I knew more, but, out future is still unclear to me."

"Well... I'll help you figure it out." Yugi said as he left his room. He walked outside and saw TéA waiting for him.

"About Time Yugi."

"Sorry TéA."

"We're going to be late for the big game. What took you so long?"

"Oh. I was talking to the Pharaoh. He seems Kinda worried."

"About what?"

"About the future, I think. He said something about our Destiny being unclear. The Pharaoh has been talking about Fate ever since we beat Pegasus."

"That was almost two years ago though."

"I know. It's almost as if there's something the Pharaoh has to do, but he doesn't know what. I mean the Spirit of the Millennium Eye told us that he was a Pharaoh, but nothing else, and I'm babbling and we're late. We should go."

"Oh, right." TéA said. "The soccer game. We definitely don't want to miss that. Let's go. See you, Mr. Muto."

"Bye Grandpa."

"You two have fun." Solomon Muto said.

"Hey Mr. Muto." Jason Said, walking up to the Kamé game shop. "How's it going?"

"Oh. It's been a pleasant day so far. How are you Young Jason."

"I'm fine. I was wondering if you had a few cards I could buy."

"Of course, of course. Come inside."

"Thanks. One of my friends is a HUGE fan of your work... maybe he's ran into you. Ryder Furukawa."

"Oh, not yet, but Yugi told me about him."

"Okay. Knowing Ryder, I had a Theory I wanted to run by you."

"What's that?"

"Well, Ryder is a betting Man, and if he had an ultra-rare card in the world, like. Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and he was a Master Forger, I think that he'd make a copy of said Blue-Eyes and keep the fake in his deck, in case it got damaged he wouldn't lose the real one."

"You're very smart young Jason, and so is Young Ryder. Now, what cards can I get you?"

"Do you have any copies of King Tiger Wanghu, Burden of the Mighty, The Silent Sword-men Cards, The Royal Flush cards, Banner of courage, Needle Burrower, Fiber Jar, Ground Collapse, Gravity Bind, Ojama Trio, Attraffic Control, and Gravekeeper's Servant?"

"My, My, My. Quite a long list."

"Yeah, Sorry. I Dueled Someone at Industrial Illusions who had those cards, and I wanted to see them for myself."

"Well, let me look."

"Okay. While you're looking, has Duke given you any trouble?"

"No, no. He is a good boy. Finding out that Pegasus is still alive has done him a lot of good. We're more like rivals now than anything else. He sells a lot of general stuff and Dungeon Dice Monsters, and I specialize in Duel Monsters. He sends customers my way and I send customers his way."

"That sounds like a system at least."

"It is. Okay. How many copies of King Tiger Wanghu?"

"Three if you have them."

Solomon set three copies of King Tiger Wanghu on the Counter and went back to looking.

TéA and Yugi ran through the streets of Domino towards the Soccer game. "So?" She asked. "Who do you thinks going to win?"

"Win?" Yugi asked. "Win what?"

"Earth to Yugi. The soccer game, at school."

"Oh, uh, I dunno. Uhhhh..."

"You don't really care much about sports, do you?"

"Future's told." A calm voice rang out through the crowd. "Fates unfold. Step up boy, and I'll reveal the secrets of your future."

TéA turned and saw the guy standing in front of an alleyway. "Nope!" She said, grabbing Yugi's wrist. "Stanger Danger and all that."

"What?" Yugi asked.

"Yugi. That guy is standing in front of an alleyway. He's going to grab you and run. He's probably one of those guys involved in Human Trafficking or something. Anyways, I'll send Jason a text and have him sort this guy out."

The Fortune Teller Three the table to the side and charged them, grabbing the Millennium Puzzle and ripping it off Yugi's head along with a tuft of hair.

"Ouch!" Yugi yelled.

TéA pulled out her phone and text as she and Yugi ran after the Fortune Teller.

TéA to Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Jason, Kazutaka, Mokuba, Montgomery, Sina, Mina, Tina, Ryder: Someone just stole Yugi's Millennium Puzzle!

As they ran through the alleyway, they saw arrows pointing in the direction of... someplace.

"It has to be a trap." Yugi said. "But what choice do we have."

"Let's go." TéA Said.

They followed the Arrows to an old abandoned warehouse.

"Where are you!" Yugi yelled. "I know you're in here!"

"Congratulations little Yugi, you found me, or more accurately, I found you, and the Millennium Puzzle!" A spot light turned on a showed the Millennium Puzzle hanging from a wall.

"Give it back to me!"

"It won't be that easy. If you want your puzzle back, then You're going to have to fight me for it! That's right Yugi! I Challenge you to a Duel!"

Spotlights shown on Yugi and TéA causing them to shield their eyes.

"And the winner gets to keep the Millennium Puzzle."

"Then I won't lose!" Yugi said.

"We'll see about that." The Fortune Teller Said.

"Who are you, and what do you want with my Millennium Puzzle?"

"I desire the power your item contains within, and according to the rules of its ancient magic, whoever wins the duel gets to keep the Millennium Puzzle."

"Then I won't lose!" Yugi Reiterated.

"As for who I am? Let me just say that I will control your destiny as I have controlled others. Now. Let's make this more interesting, shall we?"

TéA went slack and when Yugi looked at her, he saw dead Vacant eyes staring back.

"What did you do to her!"

"I simply took control of her." The Fortune Teller Said. "So that she won't interfere with our game."

"Give her back!"

"Only if you win our Duel."

"Fine! Let's Duel!" Yugi Challenged. 'If I have to Duel, I'll need the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle."

'I can barely hear you, Yugi. Our Bond is Weak. It's hard to maintain contact. I'm afraid that I won't be able to help you with this duel.'

'But I've never fought a Duel without you, and if I'm defeated, I'll lose you forever!'

'Just believe in yourself, your deck, and the Heart of the Cards, and you'll win.'

'You're right.' Yugi said.

'Be careful Yugi. I Sense a Great evil.'

The Fortune Teller Rose up his side of the Dueling Platform, and Yugi rise up his side.

"Prepare to lose your Precious Puzzle." The Fortune Teller Said.

"I don't think so." Yugi responded.

Both Duelists shuffled their decks and drew five cards.

"It's time to Duel!" Yugi said, drawing his first card.

Yugi Muto: 2000

Fortune Teller: 2000

"I'll draw." Yugi said. "I'll play Apprentice Illusion Magician in Attack Position, and her Effect will activate, allowing me to add one Dark Magician from my deck to my hand."

A dark skinned magician with golden flowing hair, wearing pink and purple magicians robes, wielding a wand appeared on the battlefield.

Yugi looked through his deck for the Dark Magician and added it to his hand before he shuffled his deck and placed it back in the Deck Zone. "Then I'll set three cards in my spell and trap zone and end my turn."

"I'll draw." The Fortune Teller Said. "I'll set two Cards in my spell and Trap Zone and play Reflect Bounder in attack position." A machine with mirrors all over its body appears on the battlefield. "And I'll attack your Apprentice Illusion Magician."

"What? Why?"

"That is for me to know and you to find out."

"Yugi!" A voice called from the entrance.

Yugi looked over to see Joey, Tristan and Jason running into the Warehouse. "Guys! How did you find me?"

"Typed your number into the Find my Phone app and followed it." Jason explained. "What happened to TéA?"

"He's doing something to her mind!" Yugi pointed at the Fortune Teller.

"MARIK!" Jason roared. "Get the fuck out of their minds!"

"Make me Jason Todd." The Fortune Teller mocked.

Jason looked into TéA's eyes and pushed into her mind with the Millennium Eye.

As Jason walked through TéA's mind, he saw a dark skinned man wearing the finest robes that could be bought covering him from head to toe. In his left hand he clutched the Millennium Rod, and, in his Right, he had TéA by the shoulder.

"There's only two ways we're doing this." Jason said. "Either you let her go, or I'll make you."

"How?" Marik asked. "It's not like you can do anything in here, otherwise it could shatter the girls mind."

Instead of answering Jason walked into a shadow and appeared behind Marik, grabbing his hand that held TéA and breaking it.

"AHH!" Marik yelled. "You broke my hand!"

"And I'm not done yet." Jason said, picking Marik up and slamming him down on his knee, breaking his back. He grabbed his left leg and broke it at the kneecap before grabbing his right knee and breaking it at the kneecap. He grabbed his right arm and broke it at the elbow before doing the same to his left arm. All while Marik screamed in increasing amounts of pain the more of his body Jason broke.

Jason took the Millennium Rod and rammed it into Marik's eye and grabbed Marik, tossing him out of TéA's mindscape.

TéA on the other hand watched in sheer terror as Jason tortured a man, he called Marik to a point that no human should be able to take. She saw Jason throw Marik out of her mind and tried crawling away when Jason walked over to her.

"TéA, TéA." Jason Said. "It's fine. You're Safe. I don't think that Marik will try taking control of your mind again."

"You tortured him." TéA Said, tears in her eyes.

"No. I tortured how he sees himself. I made him see that he's not all powerful as he thinks he is. So, I was able to attack him even more ruthlessly than if we were in the real world."

"Aren't you afraid of how he'll retaliate?"

"Not really. After that I don't think he'll want to risk a real life beating."

"Can you leave now?" TéA shivered.

"I'm gone." Jason left TéA' s mindscape.

When Jason came out of TéA's mindscape he saw the Warehouse on fire and Yugi, Joey, and Tristan yanking on the Millennium Puzzle, which was nailed into the wall of the Dueling Arena. He looked down and saw an unconscious TéA lying on the ground. He picked her up and ran over to the guys. He grabbed the Millennium Puzzle and... "On Three!" He yelled.

"One!" Yugi yelled.

"Two!" Tristan yelled.

"T'ree!" Joey yelled.

Together the four of them pulled the Millennium Puzzle out of the Dueling Arena and ran for the entrance.

As they were running the ceiling collapsed and Jason sent them into the Shadow Realm where the Pharaoh instantly took over.

Jason and the Pharaoh dragged Tristan and Joey out of the Shadow Realm and to safety before Jason exited the Shadow Realm.

Joey and Tristan dropped to their knees, panting at how much strain had been put on their bodies.

Jason took out his phone and called 110.

"Domino City Police Department, what is your Emergency"

"Yeah. I'd like to report kidnapping and arson."

"Where are you?"

"Warehouse distract. I'm not sure, but there were two kidnap victims and smoke inhalation."

"Okay sir, I'll send the Paramedics, Fire Department, and police. Do you need me to stay on the line until they get there?"

"No, thank you, but. No."

"You're welcome and have a nice day."

"They'll be here soon." Jason told Yugi. "Tell me what happened."

Ten minutes ago

"As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted." The Fortune Teller Said. "I'll have my Reflect Bounder attack your Apprentice Illusion Magician. Searing Reflection."

One of Reflect Bounder's mirrors reflected the light just right that it reflected the light at Apprentice Illusion Magician.

Apprentice Illusion Magician deflected the light with her wand, sending it back at Reflect Bounder.

"Why'd ya do dat?" Joey asked the Fortune Teller As his Life Points dropped.

Fortune Teller: 1700

"My reasons are my own." The Fortune Teller Said. "Now Go."

"I draw." Yugi said. "I Play the Dark Magician!"

A portal opened and the Dark Magician floated out of the portal before summoning his staff and sending it around the field before catching it and glaring at the Fortune Teller.

"Way ta play Yuge!" Joey cheered.

"And since you don't have any Monster to defend your life points I can't attack. So, I'll end."

"I draw, and I'll play a card in facedown defense position, and I'll end."

"I draw." Yugi said. "I'll set a card in my Spell and Trap Zone. Then I'll play Silent Magician Lv 4."

A Magician in training with a wand appeared on the battlefield.

"Dark Magician! Attack his face down!"

"You foolishly attacked my Blast Sphere!" The Fortune Teller laughed.

Blast Sphere latched onto Dark Magician.

"I Tribute my Dark Magician to Special Summon Dark Eradicator Warlock."

Blast Sphere was removed from Dark Magician, and Dark Magician was clad in a deep purple cloak and black cloak. His staff lengthened and changed so that it had two horns coming out of the top with a crystal in the middle.

"I end."

"I draw, and I play Snipe Hunter. I'll activate his ability." The Fortune Teller activated the dice function on the Dueling Platform.

The dice rolled across the Dueling Platform and landed on six.

"You are saved for one turn." The Fortune Teller Said. "I'll attack your Silent Magician Lv 4."

Snipe Hunter aimed its gun at Silent Magician before shooting. Silent Magician Lv 4 smacked the blast away but ended up pixilating itself. The blast hit Snipe Hunter Pixilating it.

"I end."

"I draw." Yugi said. "And I end."

"I draw, and I use Polymerization to fuse Blowback Dragon and Barrel Dragon and summon Gatling Dragon."

"Uh guys." Tristan said. "Those are Bandit Keith's Monsters. I think Yugi's fighting Bandit Keith!"

The Fortune Teller removed his hood to reveal Keith Howard... A.K.A. Bandit Keith.

"What!" Yugi, Joey, and Tristan yelled in shock.

"Ah yes." Bandit Keith Said. "I found this servant floating in the ocean around Duelist Kingdom. He told me that he woke up on the boat and dove off so he could get back to Duelist Kingdom to challenge Pegasus, but the current was too strong, bringing him to me."

"And who are you?" Yugi demanded.

"I am Marik! And once I win your Millennium Puzzle, I shall unlock its great power and rule the world! Then you! YOU! Shall be the one serving me!"

"Shut yer ugly mug." Joey said. "Yuge ain't ever lost a fair Duel before an' he ain't about ta start now!"

"We shall see. For now. I activate Gatling Dragons effect."

MariKeith flipped three coins...

Tails...

Tails...

Heads...

"Ah. Such a pity. I can only destroy one of your monsters. I shall destroy your Dark Eradicator Warlock. And thanks to Duelist Kingdom Rules, you lose life equal to half of your Dark Eradicator Warlocks attack."

Yugi Muto: 750.

"Then I'll have my Gatling Dragon attack your Apprentice Illusion Magician. Gatling Dragon! Gatling Barrage!"

Gatling Dragon aimed at Apprentice Illusion Magician and fired before hitting Yugi with 600 Holographic Bullets.

Yugi Muto: 150

"Hang in dere Yuge!" Joey cheered.

"Yeah!" Tristan added. "You haven't lost a Duel yet!"

"Thanks guys." Yugi said.

"Go on." Take Your last pathetic Turn."

"I draw." Yugi said. "And my faith in my deck doesn't fail me. I play Monster Reborn to call my Dark Magician back from the Graveyard!"

"All Right Yuge!"

"Next I Play Knights Title granting my Dark Magician the title of Knight causing him switch out his staff for a sword."

Dark Magician waved his staff, covering himself from head to toe in armor before putting the staff down and picked up a large two handed sword and was ready for battle.

"Your Dark Magician Knight still isn't a match for my Gatling Dragon.

"Not yet, but he will be when I'm done. You kept killing your Monsters, so I had to save all of my Equip spells, and good thing too. Because if I hadn't, I'd have been dead. I activate Black Pendant, Horn of the Unicorn, and Mage Power."

Dark Magic Knight gained a black Pearl Necklace that increased his attack from 2500 to 3000. Then a Unicorn Horn appeared on his Forehead increasing his attack from 3000 to 3700. Finally Spectral forms of Dark Magician, Dark Eradicator Warlock, and Apprentice Illusion Magician appeared in the field and were absorbed into Dark Magician Knight's sword increasing his attack by 1500 increasing his attack from 3700 to 5200.

"Go get 'im Yuge!"

"Dark Magician Knight! Dark Magic Slash!"

Dark Magician Knight ran across the battlefield at Gatling Dragon and cut it in half before it ran at MariKeith and sent the rest of the attack at him.

MariKeith: -900

"YES!" Joey and Tristan Cheered.

"You May have one this one." MariKeith said. "But be forewarned that I shall return! Take this as a parting gift."

In response the warehouse behind MariKeith caught fire, and MariKeith ran into the raging inferno.

Bandit Keith ran out screaming and trying to get his robes off, but quickly succumbed to his injuries and died.

"We gotta get outta here!" Joey yelled.

"Not without my Millennium puzzle!" Yugi yelled, jumping from the Dueling Platform and grabbed the Puzzle.

Joey and Tristan ran over to Yugi and began pulling on the Puzzle. It budged, but not enough, and the fire was getting closer.

A new hand grabbed the Millennium Puzzle and... "On Three!" Jason yelled.

"And that's what happened." Yugi said.

"Okay." Jason Said.

"What Are we going to do?" Yugi asked.

"I think our Millennium Items give us protection from other Millennium Items, but it doesn't protect our friends. We need to help them protect their minds against the effect of the Millennium Rod."

"Is that what Marik used to control people?"

"Yes. I can help teach them how to create defendable Mindscapes..."

"Or you can let me handle that." Montgomery ran towards them.

They heard the sound of sirens and didn't have to wait long for the Emergency Responders to get to them.

Montgomery ran over a hand over Joey, Tristan and TéA's heads. A faint blue light shrouded their heads.

"What did you do?" Yugi asked.

"I locked their minds. Now the only way someone can get inside their minds is if they want the person inside their minds. Other than that, only I can get in."

"Excuse us." A Paramedic pushed passed them.

The Paramedics did their job and hooked Joey and Tristan up to Oxygen before taking TéA to the hospital.

"Can I come with her!?" Yugi asked.

"Come on." The Paramedic Said. "But you need to let us do our job."

"Right." Yugi nodded.

Jason and Montgomery were asked Questions about the incident. Jason showed the officer asking him questions, the text message from TéA, and the officer wrote it down and the time.

"I was buying cards from the Kamé Game shop when I got the text." Jason said. "I need to go back, and finish purchasing them and tell Mr. Muto what happened."

"He can corroborate your story?"

"Yeah. He's even got a camera in his shop that can prove I was there."

"Very well. What about you?" The officer asked Montgomery.

"I got the same message, but I got here later because I was registering for my next tournament. Mina and Tina were actually competing. Solo and Tag Team Duels have different schedules."

"I understand. We can check your story out with the registration office?"

"Yes, sir officer."

"That's all the questions I have at this point. You're free to go."

Jason and Montgomery nodded at the officer and headed over to Tristan and Joey.

"...we were at a soccer game for our school when we got the text." Tristan said. "We ran over here as soon as we could."

"Yeah." Joey said taking out two tickets. "We we're supposed ta meet Yuge and TéA at da gate ta give 'em dere Tickets, but as Ya can see, dat didn't happen."

"Okay, and you ran down here."

"Yeah. When we got here, we saw Yugi Dueling a man in a hooded robe. He took his hood off and it was Bandit Keith."

"So... You're telling me that Bandit Keith kidnapped your friends, knocked one of them unconscious, and ran into a fire that HE started?"

"I don't know. Maybe?"

"We weren't 'ere when he did da kidnappin'." Joey said. "Only afta, and it was around Da time dat he took off 'is hood."

"Okay. We'll be in touch."

"You guy's feeling better?" Montgomery asked.

"Yeah." Tristan Said.

"I'll be at da hospital." Joey said. "So if'n I start ta feel bad I can ask someone dere."

"Okay."

"See you guys later."

"See ya." Joey and Tristan said.

The group went their Separate ways for the night, being sure to be on their guard in case anyone tried attacking them.

Montgomery to Mina, Sina, Tina, Ryder, Jason, Kazutaka, Mokuba, Yugi, TéA, Joey, Tristan, Seto, Kaeru, Saru: New Rule. No one goes anywhere alone. We'll meet up tomorrow and I'll give you guys emergency alarms. Marik has made it perfectly clear that he's not playing around. He's almost killed Jason, Kazutaka, Yugi, TéA, Joey, and Tristan, and he has no intention of stopping there. He'll kill if he feels like it.

Jason: I'll make sure everyone has a knife, pepper spray, taser, and extendable baton. Use them with extreme prejudice in the event that you need to.

Kazutaka, Mina, Tina, Ryder: Is this really Necessary?

Jason, Montgomery, Seto: Yes!

Jason, Montgomery: Did Kaiba Just agree with us?

Seto: Yes. I want Mokuba As no safe as he can be, now more than ever.

Montgomery: Guess tomorrow is As Good a Time As any. I'm giving you guys a special Surprise tomorrow. See you at KaibaCorp.

Everyone signed off and Jason walked back to the Kamé Game shop to finish his purchases.

The next day.

Everyone met at KaibaCorp the next day and Jason handed out bags. Each bag contained a punch knife with sheath, extendable baton with holder, taser with holster, pepper spray with holder, and belt.

"You expect us to wear all this?" Kaiba asked.

"Unless you plan on hiding it all in your ass." Tina said.

"Shut up Von Brand!"

"Only Ryder can make me shut up." Tina said. "And only one method will work."

"We're in public." Ryder reminded.

"What a dirty mind you have." Tina smiled an evil smile.

"Yes." Jason Said, pulling up his sleeve to show his punch knife on his arm, opposite of where his Duel Disk went.

He moved his shirt to show that the extendable baton was on his back, the taser was on the hip opposite his gun, and the pepper spray was on his belt closest to his first belt loop on his right side.

Kazutaka moved her shirt to show a similar set up to Jason's.

Everyone started to put their gear on similarly to Jason's and Kazutaka's... Everyone except Kaiba that is. Well, Kaiba and Saru.

Saru put his punch knife on his right shin since his arms were literally the size of his head.

Kaiba put everything in his coat... at least until Jason, Montgomery, and Mokuba picked his pockets within five minutes of him putting everything away.

"Fine!" Kaiba shouted. "I'll wear them on a stupid belt."

"Thank you." Jason said.

"Next up is me." Montgomery said, handing out Self Defense Alarms. "These Are loud. 160 decibels. Any louder and your eardrums would burst. There are two other alarms with it. The first is an alarm that animals and people with really good hearing can pick up. The other is Millennium Energy. The long and short of it is that I'll be able to hear it and get to you should the need arise. Next..." He snapped his fingers and a wave of blue energy flowed around the room.

"What was that!" Kaiba demanded.

"Marik will not be able to get to you now, and if he does... he'll regret it."

"Whatever."

"Hey." Joey Said. "What about my Ma and Serenity? All our families?"

"Don't worry. We'll take care of them. One other thing."

Montgomery handed out boxes that were 7"X4"X3" "Don't Look at These until after I've left." And with that, he left.

"Should we look at them now?" Mokuba asked.

"He did say after he left." Ryder pointed out.

They each opened their boxes at the same time and found them full of Duel Monster Cards and a Note.

Build Your Best decks with these. Marik won't stop, and we need to be ready for anything.

~Montgomery.

"I guess he wanted to be dramatic today." Mina said.

"He is right." Jason Said, looking through the cards. "We should have a secret deck that no one knows about, except for Kaiba because if he played anything BUT Blue-Eyes they would know something was up."

"And Yugi has to play Dark Magician." TéA Said.

"And Montgomery has to play Rocks." Mina said.

"And Tina and Mina have to be Firebrand." Ryder said.

"I know. Build the best deck you can and hold it in reserve. If things get too crazy, switch to your new deck and raise hell."

"Right." Everyone said.

"Good. Now, since we have to live our lives or risk going insane... who wants to go to the arcade this weekend?"
