It was July 25th, the day before the Battle City tournament and Jason and his friends were walking to the diner. They were already registered, so they weren't worried about that.
As soon as they arrived at the diner Mina grabbed Kazu and dragged her to a table.
"You won't guess what Montgomery did last night..." Jason overheard Mina tell Kazu on their way to a table.
"So?" Jason asked Montgomery. "What did you do to Mina this time?"
"Before I tell you." Montgomery said. "It was completely consensual."
"Why doesn't that fill me with confidence?" Jason asked.
"HE DID WHAT!?" Kazutaka yelled.
"SHHH!" Mina shouted. "Not so loud."
"Continue." Jason said.
"Mina and I were messing around last night, and I told her to shut up, and she said: "Make me." So, I did."
"How?"
"Let's just say that Mina said I could shut her up anytime that way from now on."
"What did you do? I mean, you guys have sex regularly, but what could you have done differently this time?"
Montgomery whispered something close enough to Jason's ear that he could hear him.
"You did what!" Jason hissed.
"Yup. She seemed to enjoy herself. I certainly did, and I found out that Mina likes being Dominated as well as doing the dominating, and all it took was an amazing sexual experience for both of us."
"How many rounds did you guys do last night?"
"Three. I dominated her, she dominated me, the one final round to show that we were both okay. You should find out if Kazu likes being dominated or doing the dominating."
"Well, what if we aren't ready for sex? I've picked up some really erotic thoughts from her."
"Dude! You guys need to get on the love boat man!"
"What part of we aren't ready didn't you understand?"
"Please. You are both legal. What are you waiting for?"
"And what if she gets pregnant?"
Montgomery handed Jason a condom. "Always carry a condom in your wallet my dude. You never know when you'll need one."
"STD's?"
"Get checked by a doctor. Are you telling me that Kaiba doesn't have medical insurance?"
"What if we aren't ready?"
"Dude. Come on. Mina and Me, Ryder and Tina, you guys need to do it! It's like a rite of passage for a couple to get freaky before they turn 18, you guys are late to the party."
"I don't know."
"Wait. Are you even interested in sex?" Montgomery asked.
"I don't know. Maybe."
"Montey." Mina called.
"Yes?" Montgomery asked, walking towards Mina.
Kazutaka walked towards Jason to give them some privacy.
"So." Jason asked. "Did Mina Tell you what her and Montgomery got up to last night."
"Yeah." Kazutaka blushed. "Mina also told me that we need to do it since we're both legal."
"Montgomery told me the same thing." Jason said.
"Are we actually going to do something because our friends told us too?"
"I don't know. Do you even want to?"
"I don't know. I mean I've thought about it. A lot, but I don't know if that means that I want to."
Ryder came over to them. "Did you guys hear what Mina and Montgomery did last night?"
"Yeah." Jason and Kazutaka Said.
"They told us that we need to do it since we're both legal." Kazutaka Said.
"Don't go rushing into anything." Ryder said. "I made sure to wait till I was at least 18 before Tina and I had relations. You guys wait till you think the time is right. I will tell you This Though. Once you start, it's like a drug. You only want more of it. You can't wait until your next hit."
"Thanks for making the decision that much harder." Kazutaka Said. "I mean, more difficult." She blushed.
"Just make sure you're both ready before you do it." Ryder said. "Don't do it because we told you to."
"Thanks." Kazutaka Said. "We will."
Ryder nodded and left.
The door opened and Joey ran in, he looked as though he'd been mugged.
"Joey!" Kazutaka and Jason yelled, running towards him.
"What happened?" Jason asked.
"I was walkin' ta See Serenity, she's supposed ta get outta da hospital tomorrow, and I was challenged ta a duel by a guy who said he was a Rare Hunta. I was winning till his buddies jumped me an' took my Red Eyes from my Duel Disk."
"Any idea about what he looked like?" Jason asked.
"Uh... tall, scrawny, blue hair, real creepy lookin'."
Jason left the diner and walked to an alley where he jumped up the walls to the rooftop. 'If I Let you out, will you find the Rare Hunter who stole Joey's Red Eyes?'
'Yes.' The Undying One hissed. 'Anything to get even a few moments of sunlight.'
'You shouldn't have threatened my friends. I'll be willing to discuss more time if you can help me on this mission."
'Very well.' The Undying One Said as He took over. He ran across the rooftops until he arrived at a game shop. "The trail ends here." He spoke. "Would you like me to get the Red Eyes back?"
'No. I will talk to him. If I get ambushed again, you can take over.'
"Very well." The Undying One Said as he Switched out with Jason.
Jason jumped off the roof and walked into the shop.
"Ah, a customer." The cashier said. "Here to sign up for the Battle City Tournament?"
"I'm here for my friends Red Eyes you stole."
"He lost it in a Duel fair and square. It's mine now."
"Except when you were about to lose, your friends jumped him."
"I had that game in the bag. He wouldn't have won even if my friends hadn't gotten involved."
"Fine then." Jason said. "We're going to play a little game. Except here's the thing. Our life points will be attached to our souls. The loser gets trapped in the Shadow Realm and the spoils go to the Victor."
"Sounds good to me." The shop keep Said.
"Let's Duel!" they shouted, activating their Duel Disks.
"I'll go first!" Jason said. "I'll play Archfiend Interceptor in attack mode! I'll end!"
An Archfiend wearing football equipment with four additional arms coming out of its shoulders appeared on the battlefield.
"I'll play Change of Heart!" The Rare Hunter yelled.
As soon as Archfiend Interceptor appeared on the Rare Haunter's side of the field his Duel Disk exploded.
"What happened!" He yelled.
"Your Duel Disk isn't meant to handle the sheer power of hell!" Jason announced. "And since you don't have a Duel Disk!"
"No!"
"You lose!" Jason snarled.
The Rare Hunter fell to the floor Soulless.
"Anyone else?" Jason asked.
He heard bodies hit the floor. 'I take it that you connected their souls to his life points as well?'
'But of course. You don't suddenly care about these Rare Hunters, do you?'
'Of course not. Why should I?'
'I'll make an assassin out of you yet. Now. Loot the vermin.'
Jason looked through the Rare Hunters taking their decks, money, weapons, and the key and vendors license to the shop.
Afterwards he locked the shop, put the closed sign up, and headed back to the diner. He had some cards to distribute and would sell the rest to Mr. Muto.
With that he made his way back to the diner.
Joey was sitting at a booth with a bag of ice on his eye when he heard the door open and saw Jason walking towards him.
"Here ya go Joey." Jason said, placing his Red Eyes in front of him.
"I can't accept dis Jay. I need ta earn it from ya in a duel."
"No. Just take it."
"I can't."
"Joey!" Jason grit out. "Just take the Damn card!"
"I can't just accept it, Jay! I need ta win it from ya in a duel!"
"No!"
"I'll take it Jason." Yugi said. "I'll hold onto it until you're ready for it Joey."
"T'anks Yuge." Joey Said.
Jason slapped some cards on the table. "Then you guys can divide these among yourselves." He spoke. "Here Ya go Yugi." He handed Yugi five cards.
"No thanks Jason." Yugi said. "I don't need a copy of Exodia. I can win without it."
Jason face palmed. "Fine. I'll be back." He said before he left the diner.
"So." Joey Said. "Free ca'ds?"
The group looked through the pile and took any cards they liked, or thought could improve their decks.
Jason made his way through Domino City towards the Kamé Game Shop.
He was walking when he blacked out and the Undying One took over and backflipped over a bullet before pulling out a gun and aimed, pulling the trigger.
CRAACK-KAAA-KACOOM!*
The bullet spiraled out of the barrel and towards a building where a window had a hole in it.
The glass shattered and a man with a sniper rifle fell out the window and to the pavement with a splat.
The Undying One looked around and pulled the trigger three more times in three different directions causing three more people to fall from their perches and to the pavement below.
The Undying One put the gun away and pulled out the knife. "Come on!" He shouted. "Face me like the gutless cowards you are! Fight me!"
A mob of people, supposed Rare Hunters, appeared from the streets and surrounded the Undying One.
'I'm pretty sure we're surrounded.' Jason said.
'Excellent. That means we can attack from all sides!'
"Well, well." A voice said from the crowd. "It appears that this is the day that the Red Hood dies, and I can take over Domino City and gain control of the Pharaoh's Millennium Puzzle, As well as Your Millennium Eye!"
"You can try and take it!" The Undying One yelled. "The only thing you'll get is my blade in your eye!"
"We shall see. Kill him!"
The mob charged the Undying One and quickly realized their mistake as blood, fingers , arms, ears, and in one case a nose went flying.
"Die you fools!" The Undying One yelled as he became a blender of death.
Something hit the Undying One from behind and knocked him to the floor.
The mob swarmed and kicked and hit and beat the Undying One.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" A familiar voice shouted.
The mob went flying and a very enraged Kazutaka stood in front of the Undying One.
"Leave This to us." A second familiar voice said.
"If you really think that you can just attack Jason without consequence!" A third furious voice said.
"I think I found my next headline!" A fourth voice said. "Terrorist group attacks Duelist Kingdom Runner up!"
Jason took control and looked up to see Conner, Shiera, Kazutaka, and Daisuke Nozomu standing in front of him. Conner cracked his knuckles, Shiera was wielding a giant wrench in one hand, Kazutaka was standing defiant against the mob, and Daisuke was wearing a blue suit with red shoes, red shirt, and yellow tie.
"Hey Jason." Conner asked. "You, okay?"
"Concussion." Jason moaned and laid his head down on the ground with a groan before he pushed himself up and puked. "Fuck." He moaned. "They fucked me up."
"Don't worry." Shiera said. "We'll take care of this. Just take it easy."
"Why weren't you wearing your helmet?" Kazutaka asked.
"I'll get back to you on that."
"Daisuke." Kazutaka Said. "Please stay with Jason."
"Will do. I'll jump in if you need me."
Kazutaka nodded, and jumped at the group before she punched one so hard that Jason saw words appear in the air with each hit.
"I think I'm hurt worse than I thought." Jason said.
"Why's that?" Daisuke asked.
"I'm seeing words appear in the air with each hit they land? I just saw the word WHAM! Appear in the air."
"We should get you to the hospital."
"Not til it's over." Jason swayed.
'Snap out of it!' The Undying One yelled causing Jason to hold the wall , trying not to vomit again.
'I can't believe you're this weak!'
Jason vomited and Daisuke held him.
'OH! GIVE ME CONTROL!' The Undying One yelled as he took control and forced himself to stand up shakily. He took a step and fell down, hitting his head on the floor and passing out.
Jason saw a greenish-white light through his eyelids and opened his eyes to see Montgomery standing over him.
"What's your name? What day is it? How many fingers am I holding up? Who do you find more attractive; me, Kazutaka, or Roi?"
"Jason Todd, it was July 25th, 1999, two, three, two, five, four, one; Kazutaka, and I would choose Roi over you, and not even because you're dating Mina."
"Harsh." Montgomery said. "Are you okay?"
"What happened?"
"You took out like ten Rare Hunters before they hit you in the back of the head and tried beating you up before Kazutaka showed up and they took out the rest of them."
"What day is it?"
"It's still the 25th. It's only been an hour or so. You need to stop Marik before he kills someone."
"Then tell me where the bastard is, and I'll kill him."
"He's in Domino City."
"I know that asshole! Tell me where the hell is exact location is!"
"I don't know. It's not like I can track him..."
"Bullshit! You somehow have the Millennium Ring! Pull a Bakura and find the bastard!"
"Okay. You're right. I could, but I don't want to. I keep the Millennium Ring Dormant, so it doesn't corrupt me."
"Then what use are you too me!" Jason slid out of bed and too his feet.
"Jason!" Kazu yelled, running into the room and hugged Jason, keeping him in bed.
Jason tried moving Kazu, but he couldn't. She was keeping him pinned to the bed somehow.
"Leave." Kazutaka told Montgomery.
Montgomery left and Kazutaka looked at Jason.
Jason tried backing away, but Kazutaka wouldn't let him. "Kazu. I know what you're thinking, and you don't have my consent."
"I can control myself." she said as she kissed his neck, applying just the barest hint of suction. She moved to the base of his neck, his Adam's Apple, behind his jawline, and his ear.
"Kazu." He groaned. "What Are you doing?"
"Making sure you don't go anywhere until Battle City starts tomorrow." She whispered in his ear. "I'll do whatever I have to make sure that you stay right here."
"Remember that thing about consent? You need to..." He was cut off as she kissed him.
"I won't do anything that we haven't already done, but you aren't leaving this room until tomorrow morning. You're a trouble Magnet, and then I'm not leaving your side until Battle City is over, and even then, not until Marik is no longer a threat."
"Consent applies to a lot more than just sex." Jason said.
"Are you trying to get me to make me leave this room? Cause if so, I'll just fall asleep on you, and you won't be able to get up. don't believe me..." Kazutaka laid on Jason and when he tried moving , he couldn't. She wasn't letting him move.
"And what if I have to use the bathroom or take a shower?" Jason asked.
"Jason!" Kazutaka snapped. "Why Are you so desperate to die! If Conner, Daisuke, Shiera, and I hadn't been walking by you could have been seriously injured or worse! Don't you care about that? Don't you care about how I would feel if I lost you? It would tear me up inside if I'd lost you!"
"Why do you think I'm doing this!" Jason demanded. "Do you think I'm doing this because I want to? No! I'm doing this because Marik has threatened you guys, and I seem to be the only one who gives a damn!"
"Then why didn't you tell us? We could have helped you!"
"Because. Do you think that I can lose you? I don't know what I would do if I lost you."
"Jason." Kazutaka said before she kissed him.
From outside the door Montgomery glowed pink and waved his finger at Jason and Kazutaka. "You'll thank me later." He said with a soft, sad smile.
Montgomery stood on the top of KaibaCorp, his eyes glowing blue. "If you're going to do it, then you should do it already." He spoke.
"You're Not Even going to fight me?" Marik asked, stepping out of the shadows.
"No. Because. If you kill me, Jason and Mina will gut you like the cowardly fish you are."
"You're not going to try and stop me?"
"No. I've done what I needed to do."
"And what's That?"
"Made Friends, loved, all that I need to do is give them a reason to meet all threats with an unnecessary amount of force."
"And how are you going to do that?"
"I'm not. You are."
"What? Okay, back up. I didn't kill you or your sister!"
"Didn't you?" Montgomery asked, tossing Marik his phone as it started ringing.
Marik accepted the call and heard his voice. "Montgomery! I hope you can hear this! I have just taken control of your dear sister's mind and am forcing her to walk into the ocean! If you don't kill Jason Todd right now! I will make her kill herself! And unlike the Duel with Weavil, she will already be too far into the ocean before she can save herself!"
"MARIK! No! Please!" Montgomery cried out from the phone. Please! I'll do whatever you want! Just please! She's the only family I have left! Give me time! All I need is an hour!"
"Beg me!" Marik laughed.
"Marik please! I beg you! Don't kill my sister!" Montgomery started crying. "Please." He sobbed as his heart broke. "Please. I'll kill Jason." He broke, completely willing to do whatever he could to save his sister.
"Whoops. Too late! It looks like she went under and isn't coming back."
"NNOOO!" Montgomery yelled in sheer tormented agony.
"Good bye Montgomery. Good bye."
The phone went dead, and Marik looked at Montgomery with a smile on his face. "I can't believe you killed your own sister!" He cackled.
"I didn't. You did. In all actuality my sister is being taken to America where she will live a happy and fulfilling life. As for me... there needs to be a body." Montgomery said as he grabbed Marik and forced him to rush him causing him to fall.
"NNOOO!" Montgomery yelled as he fell to the streets of Domino below.
Marik looked over the edge and saw Montgomery's body hit with a *SPLAT*. "Well, that was unexpected."
He didn't notice as Montgomery's phone said: Video Recording sent, Call Recording sent, Recording sent. Before the screen went black and his phone self-destructed.
Marik left the roof of the KaibaCorp building thinking nothing of the trouble he was in.
The next morning.
Jason and Kazutaka woke up and looked at each other.
"We really shouldn't have done that." Jason said when he remembered the feeling of absolute need and desire that had come over him.
"Then why did we? I felt like I was going to die if we didn't."
"I'm going to punch Montgomery in the throat!" Jason seethed and grabbed his phone before he flipped it open and saw the messages.

He stepped out of bed and got dressed before he went to open the door, but the door was forced open by Mina.
"HAVE YOU SEEN MONTEY OR SINA!" She begged. "Please tell me you know where they are!"
"Whoa, whoa." Kazu said, walking over to Mina. "What's wrong?"
"Did you get the messages from him?" She cried.
Jason looked at the messages and played the first one.
"Don't worry Montgomery! I'll reunite you with your beloved sister!" Marik yelled as he pushed Montgomery over the edge of KaibaCorp.
He listened to the recording of Marik forcing Sina to walk into the ocean. Probably to make Montgomery THINK that he'd killed her and then make her a slave.
He listened to the recording.
"Jason!" Montgomery yelled into the phone. "Marik has Sina! Oh Gods! He wants me to kill you in exchange for Sina's life. Fuck! I can't do this! I'm sorry! But you have to die. I know that you're mad that I made you and Kazu get horny as hell, but we're in for the long run and I was going to make you guys have one last genuinely good night before it all goes to hell. It's all downhill from here. I'm sorry, but I'll kill you and Kazu in your sleep so it's painless. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Jason threw his phone against the wall, shattering it. "MARRIIIKKKK!" He shouted as he dropped to his knees; hitting the ground, hard. "Marik dies today." Jason Snarled. "I don't care what I have to do to find him. I'll Duel everyone in the city, get to the Battle City Finals, I'm going to make Marik pay before I make him beg for death, and then, and only after he has begged me for death on his blood soaked knees will I finally offer him death!"
Jason reached into his dresser and pulled out a new phone before rummaging through the debris of his old phone and found the SIM card and slid it into his slot.
When his phone booted up, he saw texts from his friends. He saw one from Kaiba.
Kaiba: I'm not canceling Battle City. Mourn for him when it's over.
Jason sent a text to his friends before he walked to his closet and looked through to find what he was looking for.
Mina looked at her phone when it chimed.
Jason Todd: Marik Just declared War. We're going to give him a war.
He dressed quickly and came out wearing something that none of them had seen before.
"What's that Jason?" Kazutaka asked.
Jason was wearing a pair of black tactical boots, charcoal grey tactical pants with knee pads, a charcoal grey tactical shirt with a breastplate over that, his dueling gauntlets on his wrists, and a torn white hoodie on with the hood down. "If I'm going to fight Marik and his Rare Hunters, I'm going in prepared for anything."
"What happens if he forces you to duel someone in the hopes of saving someone?"
Jason pulled something out of his closet. "I thought of that."
Kazutaka looked at what he was holding and took it into the bathroom.
"You should get ready for this fight too." Jason said. "We're not playing in a tournament. We're going to war."
Mina nodded and left the house.
Jason walked to the window. "Prepare yourself Marik. You won't live long enough to regret what you've done."
