The Battle City Tournament began, and the friends met at a café.

TéA hugged Mina tightly in an attempt to hold back her tears.

Yugi, Tristan, and Joey all looked at Jason.

Ryder and Jason walked over to them as TéA, Tina, and Kazutaka tried comforting Mina.

"Sorry, Jay," Joey said.

Jason nodded, not trusting himself not to say something he would later regret.

"We'll make Marik pay," Tristan said.

"And I'll help," a familiar voice said as Shiera walked up with a Duel Disk on her arm. She wore a pair of emerald leggings with a yellow tank top.

Ryder looked at her and tried to remember where he had seen her wearing that outfit, but he couldn't recall.

Yugi asked, "What's your rank?" Unfortunately, Kaiba had placed restrictions on who could join.

"My rank is high enough," she said. "I have two decks registered." She placed a hand on Jason's shoulder. "Marik will pay," she said. "He won't get away with this."

Kaiba demanded, "What are you doing here!? You're supposed to be participating in Battle City!"

Jason glared at Kaiba, but Kaiba looked at them. "There's been a last-minute change to the rules!" Kaiba snapped. "All finalists are allowed a plus one, that way one person can't bring their own personal cheerleading squad!" He looked over at Shiera. "Carter?! I didn't know that you were an F-Tier or higher Duelist!"

"I am an SS-ranked Duelist."

Jason tried not to read Shiera's mind, but with his emotions all over the place he couldn't help but catch the truth. She wasn't an SS Rank Duelist.

"Todd," Kaiba snapped, bringing Jason out of his thoughts. "You, Saru, and Kaeru will be coming with Mokuba and I. You are still Mokuba's bodyguard, but Mokuba isn't leaving my line of sight, so you're coming with us."

Jason put his helmet on. "You're the Boss, boss," he said through the Modulator so they wouldn't hear the heat in his voice.

Joey's phone rang and he answered. "Hey Sis! How're ya doin'?"

"Dat's great! I'm on my way!"

"If you leave Wheeler," Kaiba yelled, "you're disqualified! Not that you stood much of a chance to begin with!"

Everyone glared at Kaiba.

"Well, we're not participating!" Kazutaka snapped at Kaiba. "We'll go pick up Serenity and bring her here!"

"You'd do dat fer me?" Joey asked.

"Hell yeah!" Tristan exclaimed. "Our ranking isn't high enough! We'll go get Serenity, you guys focus on the tournament, and we'll call you when we get back!"

Jason said, "Stay together as a group. Don't get separated. If Marik was willing to kill Weevil, Keith, and Montgomery, then he has no qualms about killing you guys. Don't be afraid to use deadly force if necessary."

"Don't worry, Jason," Kazutaka said. "We'll be back before you know it."

"Be careful."

"I'm going too," TéA said.

Shiera said, "I'll ask Conner to meet you guys at the hospital." She took out her phone to text Conner.

The friends nodded and ran towards Domino General.

The duelists exchanged glances, nodded to one another, and then proceeded in opposite directions.

Ryder

"Okay," Ryder said to his opponent. A kid with bronze hair, green eyes, and an overbite. "Wanna see a magic Trick?"

"We're supposed to be Dueling." The kid snorted before hacking up a loogie.

"I plan on Dueling, but with the deck I'm running, there's a trick to it. I almost always draw Exodia in every opening hand, but I'm not cheating. Here..." He showed the kid Exodia before putting Exodia in his Deck box.

He spun around to show that he had no tricks. "You!" He pointed into the crowd at a grade school girl. "Why don't you Shuffle my deck?"

"But, I'm not very good at Shuffling." The girl stammered out.

"that's even Better!"

The Girl shuffled the deck, very poorly, and handed it back to Ryder.

"Would you like to shuffle?" He asked his opponent, holding his deck out. "You can look through the deck to make sure I only have the one copy of Exodia."

The kid walked up, took the deck and looked through the deck before shuffling it while Ryder shuffled his deck.

They exchanged decks back to their proper owners and went back to their sides of the field.

Ryder slapped his deck into his Duel Disk. "Before we start, what Are the stakes? If I lose, I'm losing Exodia, obviously, but, what do you lose?"

"I'll give away five cards if I lose since you're putting five cards on the block. You can have my Cyber Angel Benten, Machine Angel Ritual, and Three locator cards! That's enough for an Exodia set."

"Whoa!" Ryder exclaimed. "That's an Ante! Now Someone, Come Check to make sure that Exodia is not on my person and is still in my deck box!"

A college kid walked up, patted Ryder down, lingering a little too long on his ass and groin, but didn't find Exodia. They looked in his deck box, pulled Exodia out, showed it to the crowd, and put it back in the box.

"Now!" He pointed at the crowd on the opposite side. "Someone come draw my first five cards for me!"

A middle aged woman came up and drew five cards from his Duel Disk and handed them to Ryder.

Ryder showed her the hand and she looked shocked. "Look in my Deck Box." He said.

She opened the deck box and saw that it was empty.

"How?" She asked.

"Luck." He said. "Shall we play?"

"Let's Duel!" The two shouted.

"I'll go first!" The kid said in a self-satisfied tone. "I'll play a monster in face down defense position, and a spell or trap face down in the spell and trap zone. I end."

"I play..." Ryder took in a deep breath. "EXODIA, THE FORBIDDEN ONE!"

A Pentagram filled the air as the sky darkened and lightning flashed with thunder shaking the ground. A behemoth walked out of the Pentagram and let out a bellow.

"Exodia!" Ryder shouted into the sky. "Obliterate!"

Exodia let out a blast that destroyed the kids field and sent him flying back.

Ryder put his deck back in his Duel Box, called his Hologram projectors back, and walked over to the kid.

"Wow," The kid said. "I lost to Exodia."

"Are you okay?" Ryder asked.

"I'm better than okay. That was awesome!" The kid bolted up and shook Ryder's hand. "As promised, here's the three locator cards as well as Cyber Angel Benten and Machine Angel Ritual."

Ryder looked at the cards before putting them in his Duel Box. "Thank you for the duel."

"And thank you for beating me with Exodia."

"Weird Flex, but okay. You're welcome." He said as He walked through Battle City looking for his next match.

He flipped open his phone and saw a message from Tina he'd received while Dueling.

"Hey." Tina said over the phone. "I just finished a Duel that made me realize... I was kind of a bitch to you since we met. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to Sexually Harass you for the last... what, two, three years. I'm sorry. Call me back? Love you."

He pressed redial and waited for her to pick up.

"Hey." She said.

"Hey. What happened? Are you all right? Do you want to meet up?"

"Sure. Let's meet at the fountain."

"I'll be there in five minutes." He said. "And Tina. I love you too."

He hung up and ran for the Fountain.

Kaiba's Phone Rang and he answered it. "What!"

"Mr. Kaiba! We thought that you would want to know that Ryder Furukawa has played Exodia and has won three locator cards!"

"He WHAT!" Kaiba roared.

"Yes sir! We thought you should know!"

"Keep me updated!"

"Yes sir!"

"Bad News?" Jason asked.

"Stuff it Todd!"

Kaiba's phone rang again. "WHAT!" He answered.

"Slifer the Sky Dragon has been spotted sir! It's being played against Yugi Muto!"

"Get the helicopter to my location now!"

"It's already on its way sir!"

"Good. You're not that incompetent."

Kaiba's group walked through the streets until a KaibaCorp helicopter landed in front of them. They boarded and flew off towards the giant Slifer the Sky Dragon that was flying in the air.

Tina

Tina walked through the streets of Domino City looking for a Duel. She was specifically looking for the sleaziest looking Duelist she could find, and when she did...

"Hey baby." A sleazy voice called out. "Want me to take you for a ride you'll never forget?"

"Are you a Duelist?" She asked.

"Sure am. C Tier. What about you?"

"How about this. I'll duel you. If you win, you can take me for the best ride of your life, but if I win... I want five cards, including your locator cards... all of them. Whatever else is left I'll take out of your deck."

"Sure thing baby. I won't lose, and then I'll take you to heights of pleasure you never knew existed." He licked his lips and salivated a little as drool dripped down his chin.

Tina activated her Duel Disk. She held out her deck to a passerby who shuffled it and handed it back to her. She slid it into the deck slot, drew five cards and glared at the sleaze. "You can go first!"

"But in my care, a lady always goes first." The Sleaze said. "Go on Baby. Don't worry. I'll take real good care of you."

Tina Von Brand: 4000

Jeremy Atkinson: 4000

"Fine!" Tina snapped. "I'll play a Monster in Face Down Defense Position, and a Card in the Spell and trap Zone. Go!"

Two holographic cards appeared in her side of the field as she ended.

"Whatever you say baby. I'll draw a card. I think you'll like what happens next baby. I'll play Attraffic Control and Ape Magician."

A Human with Pink Angel Wings appeared on the field in the sleaze's Spell and Trap Zone.

If Tina tried attacking when she had more than three monsters on the field then the Angel would stop the attack from happening, but Tina didn't need to attack with this deck. It was all about trapping her opponent and destroying them with effects.

An ape wearing a Wizards costume, holding a staff appeared on the battlefield and watched Tina imperiously.

"Then I'll attack your Face down with my Ape Magician." The Sleaze said, licking his lips.

Ape Magician twirled it's staff before attacking.

"I'll activate Threatening Roar making it so you can't declare an attack this turn." An ethereal being appeared in front of the field and roared at Ape Magician causing it to cower. "Do you end?"

"I see you like playing hard to get. Don't worry baby. I'm patient. Go on. I end my turn."

Tina drew a card. "I'll play another card in Facedown defense position and a card in the spell and trap zone.

Two more holographic cards appeared on the battlefield before Tina ended. "I end."

"Of course baby, I'll draw a card, and set a card in the spell and trap zone, then I'll tribute my Ape Magician for Seleglare the Luminous Lunar Dragon."

A Giant pale white dragon with spines going from its head to its tail appeared on the field and gave a roar that sounded like waves hitting the beach.

"I have to end now Because I tribute summoned Seleglare but go on baby. This is just foreplay before the foreplay."

Tina was going to crush this guy's balls after she won. He was really starting to piss her off. "I'll draw!" She declared. "Then I'll play a third card in Facedown defense position and a second card in the spell and trap zone! I'll flip up my Man-Eater Bug and have it destroy your Seleglare with its effect!"

Man-Eater Bug flipped face up and grew to the size of Seleglare before devouring it.

Jeremy looked caught off guard for a second before composing himself. "It's all good baby. I like it when they have some fight in them. It makes the ride all the more enjoyable."

"Man-Eater Bug! Attack him directly!"

Man-Eater Bug shrank down and took a holographic bite out of Jeremy's right shoulder.

Tina Von Brand: 4000

Jeremy Atkinson: 3550

Ante crossed Jeremy's face and he glared at Tina. "Okay! It's on now baby! You made me mad, and now ima make you pay for that and every attack after this. I'll make you apologize for every attack after this. So, I suggest you just give up, say you're sorry, and we can go for a ride."

"Or." Tina said. "I can take my B Tier Rank and Deck and smash it against your face until you pass out!"

"Wait! You're B Rank?"

"Yeah! You got a problem with that?"

"I thought you were C Rank or lower!"

"Wrong! I am Tina von Brand! Team Member of the Fire Trap Twins! And I! Don't! Lose!"

"Shit!" Jeremy Said. "There's no way I can beat a B Rank. Take my Locator cards! I have two! And take any cards in my deck!"

Tina walked over to take the Locator cards. When she grabbed them, Jeremy grabbed her arm and tried dragging her towards an alley.

Tina grabbed a finger and pulled back as hard as she could, breaking Jeremy's finger with a *Crack* and a *Pop*.

"Ouch! Fuck!" Jeremy yelled, grabbing her hair.

Tina punched Jeremy in the nose, breaking it. She punched him in the Solar Plexus and slammed his face into her knee sending blood all over her pants. She kicked him onto his back and kicked him as hard as she could in the balls, and curb stomped his groin causing his to cry out in pain and his voice to raise an octave or two higher.

She took the locator cards and looked through his deck, glaring at it. "Fucking control deck!" She spat, throwing the deck to the side. She took the three Attraffic Control Cards he had and spit on him as she left.

As she was leaving the alley she walked into Mina, and a girl with lavender colored hair. "Hey." She said.

"Hey." Mina said. "You okay."

"Fucker had a Control Deck! Was talking like a fucking rapist or something during the Duel! I kicked his ass. He won't be doing much after today. Crushed his testicles."

"Maybe this will help you realize that what you did to Ryder wasn't as much fun for him as this was for you."

"I didn't treat Ryder like that!"

" Maybe not, but it could be considered Sexual Harassment."

"Shit!" Tina swore. She took out her phone and called Ryder. The call went to voicemail. "Hey." She said. "I just finished a Duel that made me realize... I was kind of a bitch to you since we met. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to Sexually Harass you for the last... what, two, three years. I'm sorry. Call me back? Love you."

Tristan, TéA, and Kazutaka made it to the hospital. "We're here to see Serenity Wheeler," TéA explained to the nurse at the reception area.

"She already checked out," Conner said, walking in with Serenity whose eyes were bandaged, but they could tell that she'd been crying.

"What happened?" Tristan asked as his phone rang.

"Some guys were trying to force her into a car," Conner explained. "I was able to stop them and brought her back here."

"Thanks Cuz." Kazutaka Said.

"No worries. Now, let's get back to battle city."

Tristan took out his phone and looked at it. He pressed redial and waited for the caller to pick up."

"Miho? What's going on? Where are you?"

"I wanted to surprise you, but I just had my first Duel."

"What? You mean, you're a Duelist?"

"Yeah. D Rank. I was waiting to surprise you."

"Well consider me surprised, but we need to go, I'll meet you when we get back to Battle City."

"Okay. What's wrong?"

"Too much to tell you over the phone. I'll catch you up when we see you."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye Miho."

With That the group headed for Battle City.

"I'll take Serenity to Battle City. I'll get there faster on my bike."

"And there is no one Safer she could be with." Kazutaka said. "Trust me on That."

"Alright, Go." Tristan Said as Conner led Serenity towards his bike.

The others looked at each other and ran towards the train station.

A group of Rare Hunters moved towards them and Kazutaka jumped, launching herself at them, scattering them with a dual fisted slam into to ground.

"Did Kazutaka Just Hulk smash a group of Rare Hunters?" Tristan asked.

"Yes?" TéA replied.

They turned the corner and were surrounded by Rare Hunters.

"How many people does Marik have!" Tristan shouted, drawing his punch dagger.

The Rare Hunters drew weapons varying from guns to knives to pipes to chains to even a pair of nun chucks.

"Damn it!" Kazutaka Said as Conner and Serenity were led into the group.

"Sorry." Conner said. "No way to keep Serenity safe and kick their asses. She could have gotten hurt."

"It's fine, just stay together and we'll be okay."

"Oh, I highly doubt that." A voice said as two figures walked into the group.

"Bakura!" TéA and Tristan shouted in unison.

"He's not the one you have to worry about." The other one said. "I am Marik, and you are going to help me destroy the Pharaoh."

"Fuck That!" Conner spat.

"If He moves, kill them." Marik ordered, stopping Conner in his tracks.

"That's better. Now. Let us go."

The group was led through the streets of Domino City towards Battle City and headed for the docks.

Mina had been walking through Battle City trying to find someone worthy of her anger to Duel.

She had just passed a store when someone, a girl with lavender hair, walked in front of her. "You're a Duelist Right?" The Girl asked.

"Yes."

"Then will you accept my challenge?"

"Sure." Mina said, activating her Duel Disk.

The girls shuffled each other's deck and handed them back before drawing five cards.

"I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Miho."

"Mina." Mina said as she looked at her hand.

Miho Nosaka: 4000

Mina Von Brand: 4000

"I'll go first," Miho said. "First I'll play Pot of Greed and draw two more cards."

The Jar or Greed appeared on the battlefield and two holographic cards appeared in the air as Miho drew two cards.

"Next I'll play Tree Otter in attack Position..."

A Tree appeared in the Monster Zone and a happy looking otter with a baby on its back sat on a sturdy looking branch.

"I'll end."

"I'll draw a card." Mina said. "Next I'll play Fire Princess in attack position..."

A fair skinned woman with silver grey hair, wearing a fire red dress, wielding a gnarled tree branch as a staff, with a fire red Aura appeared in the battlefield.

"Next I'll play Dian Keto the Cure Master, gaining 1000 extra life points."

A kindly old woman with a wrinkled face appeared on the battlefield and offered Mina a sphere of light.

Mina touched the sphere and her life points rose.

"And thanks to my Fire Princess' special Ability, you lose 500 life points every time that I gain life!"

Fire Princess raised her staff and a ball of fire shot out and hit Miho, dealing 500 points of damage.

Mina Von Brand: 5000

Miho Nosaka: 3500

Miho looked at the field. This wasn't her first Duel ever. She could do this. "Do you end?"

"No. I'll attack your Tree Otter with my Fire Princess."

Fire Princess swung her staff again and a fireball l flew towards Tree Otter, pixilating it and sending sparks at Miho.

Miho Nosaka: 3300

Mina Von Brand: 5000

"Now, I end," Mina Said.

Miho drew a card. "I'll play a card in the spell and trap zone, and a monster in facedown defense position." Two Holographic cards appeared on Miho's side of the field. "I'll end."

"I'll draw a card," Mina said, drawing a card. "Next, I'll play Burning Inpachi in attack Position and Red Medicine from my hand."

A burning construct appeared on Mina's side of the field, waving it's arms around wildly, trying to put out the flames.

Next, a Crystal pitcher of red liquid appeared in the air. The pitcher leaned forward as if being poured out and poured the contents to the floor. Mina gained 500 life points and Miho lost 500 life points as Fire Princess launched a fireball at Miho.

Mina Von Brand: 5500

Miho Nosaka: 2700

"Next! I'll have my Blazing Inpachi attack your face down and Fire Princess attack you directly!"

Blazing Inpachi ran at Miho's facedown and fell on top of it, trapping it under its flaming mass.

Fire Princess lobbed another fireball at Miho.

Mina Von Brand: 5500

Miho Nosaka: 1400

"I end."

Miho looked at her deck. She needed a card to get her out of this. What was Yugi always talking about? The Heart of the Deck? She reached for her deck, but to her horror it moved away from her, she was doubting her deck and her cards, but she'd risen the ranks of Duel Monsters back in Australia. She was pretty good in the eyes of Industrial Illusions. She could do this. She just had to believe in the Heart of her Deck. She pulled a card from her deck and looked at it.

"I play Polymerization! By fusing my Big Koala and Des Kangaroo together I can fusion summon my Master of Oz!"

A large marsupial with red shoes and boxing gloves appeared on the field, shadow boxing until it taunted Mina.

"Holy shit!" Mina swore. "That's... that's... I followed the news and there was a Duelist who rose through the ranks quickly! She appeared out of nowhere and became an underdog sensation! Don't tell me that you're her!"

"I am!" Miho smiled. "I'll tell you the story after the Duel, but for now, I'll end."

"I draw, and I'll play Raging Flame Sprite and a Card in the spell and Trap Zone."

A childlike figure floated around Mina's side of the field, waving a flaming staff in the air.

"Raging Flame Sprite! Attack Miho directly!"

Miho went to argue but remembered seeing Raging Flame Sprite on TV. If only she could remember where.

Miho Nosaka: 1300

Mina Von Brand: 5500

"I end."

"I draw," Miho Said. "And I Play Ancient Rules which allows me to special summon any Level Five or Higher Normal Monster from my hand to my field! Now! Master of Oz! Attack her Raging Flame Sprite! Outback Dynamo Punch!"

Master of Oz began punching the air until it was right on top of Raging Flame Sprite and punched it into the ground, creating a shockwave that knocked Mina on her back.

Mina Von Brand: - - - -

Miho Nosaka: 1300

Miho looked at Mina who was glowing As a Trap dispelled.

"I activated Gift of the Mystical Elf!" Mina Said. "Just before your Master of Oz attacked. Thanks to its ability I gain 300 life for each monster on the field, and with five monsters on the field I gain 1500 life points, and you lose another 500 life points from Fire Princess."

Fire Princess threw another fireball at Miho.

Mina Von Brand: 3900

Miho Nosaka: 800

"Do you end?"

"Yes!"

"I draw then." Mina drew a card and smiled. She was actually enjoying this little match. She hoped that Montey was looking down at her, or up at her; wherever he went and smiling. Though if he was looking up at her then he was smiling for a whole other reason. Tina was such a bad example. Or maybe it was because she didn't have time to mourn Montey Properly.

"I'll play a second Blazing Inpachi and Goblin Thief!"

A second fiery construct appeared on the battlefield and a goblin pushing a cart appeared. The Goblin ran across the Battlefield and took something from Miho's side of the field before placing it on the cart.

Miho lost 500 Life points, Mina gained 500 Life points, and Fire Princess dealt an additional 500 damage to Miho.

Miho Nosaka: -200

Mina Bon Brand: 3900

"That was a Good Game," Mina Said, recalling her hologram projectors.

"Thanks," Miho replied. "Your deck is Brutal."

"If you think this deck is good, wait until you see My sister and I Tag Team."

"Wait! You and your sister Tag Team and you use Raging Flame Sprite?"

"Yeah."

"Are you Part of the Fire Trap Twins?"

"I am."

"Oh my gosh! You two are the reason I started Dueling in the first place!"

"We are?"

"Yeah! It was the Duel where you told your opponents that Dueling doesn't make everything better, but it's a close second."

"Oh. That was against that brother sister tag team. The ones who played with... oh, what decks were they playing?"

"He was playing Dinosaurs, and she was playing Zombies. Their signature card was the Wasteland Field Spell."

"Oh, that's right! They had the Great Mammoth of Goldfine and Cyber Saurus Combo."

"Yeah, but you put them down with your signature move, and they threw a fit. That's when you told them what you did, and walked away like it was the best mic drop ever. That's what inspired me to start Dueling. I bought a starter deck, played with it, and made it what it is today."

"It's a really good deck."

"Speaking of which," Miho said, handing over a locator card as well as Master of Oz, Des Kangaroo, and Big Koala. "Since you won, here you go."

Mina took the cards and put them into her deck box. "Let's go, we can talk along the way."

"Sure." Miho followed her.

They walked and talked until they came to a couple of Duelists and were challenged to Separate duels.

Joey walked away with Espa Roba's Jinzo, Amplifier, and Locator card. He was walking when a pale man wearing black shoes, black pants, a black shirt with white lettering spelling out "I AM THE HYPE!", and a black trench coat walked up to him.

The man had a long shoulder length hair put into a ponytail and sunglasses on.

"Hey." The man said in a Husky Voice. "My name is Tommy. What's your rank?"

"Names Joey," Joey said defiantly. "And I'm a F Tier Duelist."

"Great! Wanna Duel?"

"Sure. What ca'd's ya ante?"

"I'm a C Rank Duelist, so if you can beat me, which you can't, I'll give you Vampire Lord, Vampire Genesis, Vampire Lady, Vampire Duke, and a Locator card. What's your Ante?"

"If I lose, I'll give ya my Time Wiza'd and my Locator ca'd."

"That's Fine, Let's Duel."

Both Duelists activated their Duel Disks and readied themselves for combat.

Joey Wheeler: 4000

Tommy Rale Tela: 4000

"I'll go." Tommy said, drawing a card. "Next I'll play Vampire Sorcerer in my Monster Zone and Vampire's Domain in the Spell and Trap Zone."

An androgynous looking, Deep Blue figure appeared on the field in the monster zone. It wore red and black robes with ruffles on the wrists, a black hat with a jewel embedded in a band around it. On its waist it wore a belt of gold with jewels and spikes as decoration. Around its waist was a clawed hand that seemed to be holding the figure. It wielded a staff with a bat shaped top that seemed to have an eye glaring out of it."

A card appeared in his Spell and Trap Zone that created walls around the perimeter of Tommy's field, a vampire standing on the wall with wings on its back and a scythe in its hands.

A blood red moon appeared in the sky, covering the field in a red glow.

"I'll end."

"Den I'll draw!" Joey said, drawing a card. "Den I'll play Guardian o' da Labyrinth in attack mode and set a ca'd in da spell an' trap zone!"

A dark skinned warrior wearing blue armor, wielding a serrated looking blade in its left hand and a spectral shield with a mouth in its right and appeared on Joey's side of the battlefield.

A holographic card appeared behind him.

"I'll end." Joey said.

"My, My, My. It appears as though you've set a trap for me. I'll have to be careful. I draw!"

Tommy looked through his hand until he placed a card in his spell and trap zone. "Next! I'll play Vampire Retainer in attack position, and I'll have my Vampire Sorcerer attack your Guardian of the Labyrinth!"

"I activate Energy Drain! Choosin' my Guardian o' da Labyrinth! He gains 200 attack for each ca'd in your hand!"

Strands if yellow energy shot from Energy Drain to wrap around Tommy's hand and wrapped around Guardian of the Labyrinth giving it 600 additional attack points making it go from 1000 ATK to 1600 ATK.

Vampire Sorcerer Shot a blast of Necrotic Energy at Guardian of the Throne Room, who deflected it back at Vampire Sorcerer who pixilated, and a beam of energy hit Tommy in the chest.

Tommy Rale Tela: 3900

Joey Wheeler: 4000

"Congratulations kid! You drew first blood!"

"A friend o' mine would smack me for thinkin' I already won. I'll wait until I have yer locator ca'd."

"A wise move, but I'll end my turn by activating Vampire Sorcerer' effect and adding a Vampire Monster, Spell, or Trap to my hand." He said, looking through his deck.

"I draw, an' I'll play a ca'd in facedown defense position, a ca'd in da spell an' trap zone, an' switch Guardian o' da Labyrinth ta face up defense position. I end!"

Two holographic cards appeared on Joey's side of the field and Guardian of the Labyrinth switched from offensive to defensive, holding its shield in front of it and its sword over its shield to come in with an attack after deflecting the enemy.

"I'll draw then." Tommy said. "Next I'll remove Vampire Sorcerer from my Graveyard so I can normal summon Vampire Lord without Tribute."

A pale figure with pale blue hair appeared on the battlefield. It was shrouded with a cloak that shone like the night sky on Duelist Kingdom. It too had a clawed hand gripping it.

"Oh shit." Joey Said.

"A Little too vulgar for my tastes but do whatever you like. Now! Vampire Lord! Attack his Guardian of the... no." Tommy of hummed. "Attack his face down."

Vampire Lord held his finger up and tossed Necrotic Energy down at his Face down.

Joey grit his teeth but was glad he didn't take life points.

"I'll end."

"I draw!" Joey looked at the card he'd drawn and played it on his Spell and Trap Zone. "Next! I'll sacrifice Guardian if the Labyrinth to play Summoned Skull in attack Position!"

"I See. An excellent Move!"

"Summoned Skull! Attack his Vampire Lord! Fiendish Lightning Flash!"

Summoned Skull created a lightning bolt that destroyed Vampire Lord.

Tommy Rale Tela: 3400

Joey Wheeler: 4000

"I end."

"Excellent! I draw, and play Vampire Lady, but I also activate Vampire's Desire. I can sacrifice a Vampire card to activate one of the effects."

A pale skinned woman with pale blue hair appeared on the battlefield, sitting on a couch, wearing a magenta dress with a hand holding her like a child would a doll around the waist.

"Uh oh." Joey said.

"Yes, because I'm going to sacrifice my Vampire retainer to special summon my Vampire Lord back from the graveyard."

Vampire Lord reappeared on the battlefield and gave Joey a look full of disdain.

"Next I'll pay 500 Life Points to Normal summon Vampire Retainer."

The Yin and Yang wolf appeared on the battlefield and Tommy's Life points

Tommy Rale Tela: 2900

Joey Wheeler: 4000

"Uh. You've lost a good chunk of' yer life points, and ya haven't even scratched mine yet."

"All part of the plan. I end." Tommy said.

"Den I draw!" Joey looked at the card. "I play Gearfried da Iron Knight! Next, I'll set a ca'd in da Spell and Trap Zone. Summoned Skull! Attack his Vampire Lord! Gearfried! Attack his Vampire Lady!"

Summoned Skull and Gearfried the Iron Knight attacked Vampire Lord and Vampire Lady; sending them to the graveyard.

Tommy Rale Tela: 2150

Joey Wheeler: 4000

"Uh, dude? Are ya really a high enough Duelist, cause I'm usually sweatin' by dis point."

"Yes. Just wait for my deck to take off. I prefer it this way. It throws my opponents off. Is it my turn?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll end."

"I'll Draw, and play the field spell, Vampire Kingdom. This Card gives all of my Vampires an additional 500 ATK boost."

"Oh no." Joey Said.

"Yes! Because now, I'm going to tribute my Vampire Retainer and tribute Summon Vampire Dragon!"

a large cyclopian Dragon with black and orange scales appeared in the air, hissing at Joey.

"I am unable to attack you this turn, so go."

"I draw! Den I Play Giant Trunade!"

A demonic Wind blew across the field returning all Spell and Trap cards We're returned to their owners hands.

"Next! I'll set a spell 'r trap ca'd, and have my summoned Skull attack yer Dragon!"

Summoned Skull charged electricity in its talons before shooting them at Vampiric Dragon.

Tommy Rale Tela: 2050

Joey Wheeler: 4000

"Next I'll have Gearfried attack ya directly! Gearfried! Iron Sword Slash!"

Tommy Rale Tela: 0250

Joey Wheeler: 4000

"Excellent!" Tommy cheered.

"Why're ya happy! Yer losin'!"

"Because. Don't you get it? Can't you see what I'm doing?"

"Losin'?"

"I guess I'm going to have to teach you what I mean. I draw."

"I play Vampire Kingdom and Vampire Lady."

A massive castle appeared on Tommy's side of the field, and Vampire Lady appeared on a couch in one of the rooms. She looked down at Joey and laughed a seductive yet belittling laugh at Joey, covering her mouth with her hand.

"Now. I know that it's not enough to beat your Summoned Skull, but... can you guess why I chose to duel you?"

"No."

"I wanted to see what you were capable of! You have so much potential, I wanted to see what happened when I pushed you."

"What do ya mean? How did ya push me? I remember being confused fer most o' da Duel."

"Yes, and if my plan had worked then your confusion would have been my victory, unfortunately you played well, and we're able to beat my strategy. My goal in dueling is not to win, but to help young Duelists meet their full potential. I used to win Duels a lot, but winning became so... boring, so I decided that instead of dueling to win, I would Duel to find Duelist's who had potential to rise above and beyond what they were capable of. I built hundreds of decks that had potential. Decks that if they could take off, could be devastating. Decks like this one. This one didn't take off, but I assure you that if it did, you would have struggled to keep up."

"What're ya Sayin'?"

"I'm saying I give up. You win, and I want you to take this deck."

"WHA! I can't take yer deck!"

"Please. I have another deck. One that I will give away if the Duelist I play can show me they deserve it."

"Why'd you do dis?"

"You showed me that you deserve it."

"Did I?"

"Yeah. This is what I do. I look for Duelists who have potential, look for their potential during a duel, and if they meet my standards; I given them the deck I'm dueling them with. Do not worry. I have another deck." He opened his trench coat to show four rows of five decks, at least two deck boxes, and a bandolier with one large deck box. He pulled one out and showed Joey the deck. "This is the Next deck I'll be Dueling with; Labrynth."

Joey looked at the offered deck and looked through it. It had Noble cards and felt like it would feel right at home in the castle in Legendary Heroes. "Who Ya gonna give dat deck ta?"

"I'm not sure. Someone will catch my eye. See you later." Tommy said as he ran way with the Labrynth deck.

Joey looked at his new vampire deck and shrugged. He went off to find his next Duel.

Shiera looked at her opponent and wanted to cry in frustration. This was one reason she'd left the Dueling Circuit. She won way too damn easy. She'd gotten her Combo out Turn one and even though she tried to give the other Duelist a fighting chance she wiped the floor with them by turn three. How was she expected to Duel if she was a fucking Certified Duelist? She pulled out turn one victories as easily as other people breathed.

"I can't believe I lost!" Her opponent whined as she looked through his deck. His deck was all about letting his opponent get an early lead and then sucker punching them to achieve victory. Too bad she reached the Certified Duelist rank by age fifteen.

She took one of his Injection Fairy Lily's. She'd been working on a generic deck with winged monsters as the Monster Base, and Injection Fairy Lily had wings.

Taking the Locator card, she walked away to find her next target, and saw a Rare Hunter. Letting out a war cry that caught the attention of the spectators she charged the Rare Hunter and kicked him into a wall. "We're Dueling!" She snarled.

"And why should I?" The Rare Hunter snapped back.

"Your group has been attacking my friends and you killed one of them. You aren't getting away from me!"

"How are you going to make me Duel?" The Rare Hunter asked.

"I will follow you until you Duel and if you don't..." she let the implications hang in the air.

The Rare Hunter gulped and activated his Duel Disk.

Shiera activated her Duel Disk and drew her hand.

Shiera Hal: 4000

Rare Hunter: 4000

"I'll go first!" She said. "I'll play a card in the spell and trap Zone before playing Ashoka Pillar."

The Rare Hunter looked at Shiera as if she'd lost it. "Why the hell would you ply a card that takes half your life points?" He asked. He'd seen it in Master Marik's Cards. It was only useful in you had a strategy that required Masochism or... "No!" He shouted when he remembered and saw what she was doing.

"I activate my Curse Reflection Doll!" She bit out. "That means you take the damage instead of me!"

Shiera Hal: 4000

Rare Hunter: 2000

"NO!" The Rare Hunter roared out as his life points dropped from 4000 to 2000. He grit his teeth and glared at Shiera. "You'll pay for that!" He looked at his hand and regretted playing the deck that he'd made. He'd chosen a deck that would make his opponent discard cards and ruin their strategy, but that had just backfired because of the deck that this bitch was playing. If she had another Ashoka Pillar and Curse Reflection Doll, then he was screwed. He'd need to take a risk, a very big risk. If she had those in her hand, then he was screwed. "I play Confiscation!" He shouted. "By paying 1000 life points I get to choose a card at random to discard, and then you get to choose a card to discard!"

Shiera Hal: 4000

Rare Hunter: 1000

Shiera smiled an evil smile. A smile that pulled the warmth from a body. The smile a fighter smiled before a move that would win them the match. "Choose your card." She said.

The Rare Hunter gulped and chose the middle card of the three in her hand.

Shiera nodded and chose the one next to it on her left, his right. "The card you chose was Elephant Statue of Blessing." Holographic water ran over Shiera as it sparkled.

The Rare Hunter blew out a sigh of relief. She was just smiling because she gained life points.

Shiera Hal: 6000

Rare Hunter: 1000

"The card I chose was Elephant Statue of Disaster."

"NNOOO!" The Rare Hunter yelled as he was hit with a blast of water as if from a fire hose.

Shiera Hal: 6000

Rare Hunter: -1000

Shiera ran over and took the Rare Hunter's Deck, his Locator Cards, and dragged him around back. "You're going to tell me what I want to know, otherwise I'll do things to you that Marik can't even think of!"

"Good." Marik's Voice said from the Rare Hunter's mouth. "He was of no use to me anymore. You'd be doing me a favor really."

"Marik!" Shiera snapped.

"Yes, it is I, MARIK! And if you want to see your friend alive again then you will meet me at the docks!"

"WHO DID YOU TAKE?"

"Meet me at the docks. If you want to find out."

Shiera turned on her heels and ran, looking through the deck to find a card she could use and found the perfect one.

Putting the decks in her deck box she ran full speed for the docks.
