Arrow Lair:

Barry fell out of the portal and slid across the floor, he moaned as he got up and looked around. He ran over to the computer and checked the time, it was a few minutes before the team were supposed to go to the prison.

"I did it." Barry sighed as he fell backwards into the chair, just as Laurel arrived. Barry looked at her and smiled, he got up and walked over to her as Laurel walked up onto the platform.

"Hey Barr," Laurel started when Barry hugged her tight. "You okay?" Laurel asked as she hugged him, Barry nodded as he smiled.

"Yeah, just been thinking and running." Barry explained as the pair leant against the railings. "I'll stay here and keep watch in case Malcolm shows up, why don't you go out and get us some food?" Barry suggested and Laurel nodded.

"Big Belly Burger okay with you?" Laurel asked and Barry nodded. "Okay then, don't you run off anywhere." Laurel smiled as she walked towards the lift, she got in just as Barry looked at the monitor: the attack had started. Before he left, Barry quickly altered the footage then pulled up his cowl.

"Sorry about this but I won't lose anyone else." Barry mumbled then he raced towards Iron Heights, just as the cameras inside revealed altered security footage.

Some time later, Laurel walked in with two takeaway bags but was confused as Barry was missing. She walked towards the platform just as Oliver walked in with John and Thea. Laurel walked over to the others then looked at the computer, they noticed that the computer monitors were looking inside Iron Heights.

"Who put on the cameras at Iron Heights?" Thea asked as they looked at each other. Laurel looked at the chair by the computer then looked at Oliver.

"Barry; he was here." Laurel told him and Oliver nodded. "He was acting different when I saw him." Laurel added as she looked at the others.

"For now, let's suit up and get to Iron Heights." Oliver told them then they ran over to the suits, hoping to help Barry.

Iron Heights:

While the others were still at the lair, Barry was already inside and had taken out all the escaped prisoners, as well as gotten all the guards out to safety. He was making his way towards the mess hall when he saw Malcolm and Damien with Andy and the idol.

"Flash, what are you doing here?" Malcolm asked as the trio looked at the speedster. Flash shook his hands then aimed his left hand at Andy, hitting him with a blast from the pulse cannon.

"You aren't going to hurt anyone else… AGAIN!" Flash shouted as he aimed his right hand and fired another blast at Malcolm, knocking him into the wall behind.

"So, you have some new toys?" Damien smirked as Flash's pulse cannons deactivated, just as Darhk held out his hands; causing Barry to freeze. "Since you appeared and freed Mister Palmer, I've been curious about who you are. How about I lift up that cowl and see your face?" Damien smiled as he started walking towards him, he was about to touch the cowl but was shocked. "Wow! A defence mechanism. How fun." Damien chuckled then the face was wiped when Flash slowly started to move.

"You aren't leaving here…" Flash groaned as he tried to break free, just when Malcolm fired two arrows; one hit The Flash's shoulder while the other hit him in the left side of the ribs. Damien released Flash and looked at Malcolm, he nodded as Andy got up and grabbed the idol then the trio left as Flash fell to the ground. He looked down to see the arrows, he was about to pull them out when he heard footsteps, he looked over to see Speedy.

"Over here!" Speedy shouted as the team ran in, Green Arrow and Black Canary ran over while Speedy and Spartan stayed by the door.

"We need to get out of here!" Spartan shouted as Green Arrow picked up The Flash and carried him out.

Arrow Lair:

Barry's eyes slowly started to open, he looked down to see that the top half of his suit was resting on the back of a chair. He then looked down at his torso, his wounds had healed as he sat up.

"You gave us a scare there, Barry." Barry looked over to see John and Thea walk over. "Oliver went to meet with Felicity, Laurel went to update Quentin about what happened." John explained as he handed Barry back the suit, Barry smiled as he slowly stood up and put it on.

"What happened, Barry?" Thea asked as Barry rubbed his eyes. "It seemed as if you already knew about the breakout but altered the cameras so we wouldn't know." Thea suggested as Barry looked at them.

"Dig, could you ask the others to come here?" Barry asked as John crossed his arms. "I'll explain everything to you." Barry explained and John nodded. "Could I get some food? I'm feeling low." Barry sighed and Thea nodded, she ran off to get some food while John called the team.

After waiting a few minutes, all of Team Arrow had arrived, including Ray. They all looked over at Barry, who was sitting on the steps by the platform. He looked at everyone then took a breath as he stood up.

"I asked you all here because I have something to tell you," Barry started as everyone looked at their friend. "The attack at Iron Heights, there's a reason I knew about it and you got there late," Barry looked at Oliver then he looked at the ground. "I already lived through it before." Barry told them which confused everyone.

"What do you mean, you already lived it?" Felicity asked as she was puzzled. Barry ran over then pulled over a board and picked up a pen, he drew a straight line across it.

"This line represents the timeline," Barry started as he picked up a red pen and drew a dot on the board. "And this dot is when Malcolm… and Andy helped Darhk escape." Barry paused as he took a deep breath as he used the red pen to draw over half of the white line. "This red line is the original timeline; where we went to stop the breakout but it ended… it was worse than bad for us." Barry paused as he looked away from them.

"What happened there that was terrible, Barr?" Laurel asked as Barry wiped a tear from his eye. "Someone died, didn't they?" Laurel asked but Barry refused to answer.

"Someone did die," Barry sighed as he put his hands on his hips. "It was you, Laurel." Barry answered which shocked everyone. "I won't say how but when you died, it broke me. I then decided, at that moment, I would make sure to change it. So I ran as fast as I could until I broke the time-space barrier." Barry explained as he took a blue pen then drew a semi-circle; one end from when Laurel died and the other end to the point he arrived. "After I arrived, I decided to go alone, to make sure no one died." Barry explained which surprised everyone until Quentin ran over and hugged Barry.

"Thank you, Barry." Quentin smiled as Barry hugged the Captain back. "You saved my girl." Quentin started to cry as he smiled, causing Barry to smile as a tear rolled down his face. The others then walked over and hugged Barry as they were thankful for what he did. After everyone stepped back, Oliver stood by Barry and they nodded at each other until Oliver spoke.

"Thanks to Barry, we have a chance against Darhk." Oliver started as he looked at Barry, then he looked at Laurel. "We have to stop Darhk from what he's planning, together." Oliver told them and they all nodded.

Laurel's apartment:

Laurel and Barry arrived back and while Laurel was about to go to her room, Barry sat down on the couch. Laurel walked over and sat next to him, she held his hand and Barry looked at her.

"Are you okay, Barr?" Laurel asked and Barry looked at her. "I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." She promised then Barry looked at the floor.

"In the original timeline, when you died, I broke down." Barry shouted as Laurel looked worried. "Whenever I tried to run, I collapsed. It was like I lost a part of me when Darhk stabbed you, I used all my speed and strength to save you." Barry explained as he held Laurel's hands. "When I was running to save you, I realised that I don't want to be without you." Barry told her, Laurel moved forward then placed her right hand on Barry's face.

"You remember when we met with my Dad about the DA promotion?" Laurel asked and Barry nodded. "I thought about it and decided to not take it. I like being the Black Canary, and being with you." Laurel confessed and Barry smiled then it faded away.

"I know you might not want to come but," Barry paused which puzzled Laurel. "Could we go to Central City, for a bit?" Barry asked as Laurel held his hands. "I want to check on the team and to clear my head, from what happened." Barry explained and Laurel nodded.

"I'll tell Ollie, he'll understand." Laurel suggested and Barry nodded. "Why don't you run over and get our suits, just in case CCPD needs The Flash and the Black Canary?" Laurel added with a smile, Barry chuckled then he raced out as Laurel called Oliver.

"Laurel, hey. Is everything okay with Barry?" Oliver asked and Laurel nodded as she got up and walked over to the kitchen.

"Yeah, everything's okay." Laurel answered as she opened a bottle of wine. "There's something I wanted to tell you, it's about me and Barry." Laurel paused as she poured two glasses of wine, just as Barry ran in with two duffle bags.

"You can tell me, Laurel." Oliver reassured her and Laurel smiled as she put the call on speaker, she then handed Barry a glass and he smiled.

"I know the timing is bad but me and Barry want to pay a visit to Central City," Laurel explained as she looked at Barry. "He wants to check on his family and clear his head from what happened." Laurel explained as she held the phone between them.

"Laurel, Barry, go to Central City. We'll be fine," Oliver told them and that made the pair smile. "Barry, you look after yourself. If we need you, I'll call." Oliver promised and Barry nodded.

"Thank you, Oliver." Barry thanked and Laurel smiled as she sat closer to him. "We'll be in touch, take care." Barry told him and Oliver chuckled.

"You too, Barry. And you too, Laurel." Oliver grinned then the call ended. Barry and Laurel smiled as they tapped their glasses together and started to drink, Barry put on a musical and the pair watched and smiled.

Barry's saved Laurel but will something worse happen? Can they stop Darhk without anything terrible happening?
