I just had this idea I couldn't get out of my head, I think I'm the first one to do this.
This is just going to be the chapter that Richard-Rusty goes into the clans because dragging it into who-knows-how-many-chapters will be boring.
Richard jumped over the fence that bordered his house and wandered into the woods.
The woods felt so much more welcoming than home.
Richard had heard of savages that lived around here.
Richard wasn't scared of measly savages he'd kill them if he had too.
Suddenly Richard sensed another creature, his hand gripped the bow he was holding tightly.
He saw the animal-a deer- grazing nearby he slowly lifted the bow from where it had been attatched to his waist and aimed.
the arrow flew through the sky, about to pierce the deer when-
"Richard, wake up" Princess whined.
"dad told me to get you!" Richard startled awake, "Princess I was having the best dream why did you have to wake me up?" Richard scowled.
He tried not to get angry at his younger sister but sometimes she was just so annoying.
"Well unless you don't want pancakes" she said in a singsong voice.
Richard nodded and got out of bed, "Princess do you ever wonder about those savages in the woods?"
Princess rolled her eyes "again with the savages, for a thirteen year old you spend a lot of time thinking about savages" she said.
Then bounced of the room, Richard rolled his eyes and put on clean clothes and hopped downstairs.
At the table Richard asked his dad "may I go into the forest today"
Richard's dad raised an eyebrow "again? You went yesterday and the day before that."
Richard was about to answer when Princess interrupted the conversation "Richard has been thinking about savages again" she said, tattling on him.
Richard's dad tensed "Richard, you have to stop thinking about the savages their dangerous"
Richard nodded seriously "I know, but I just want to go one more time then no more, promise."
Before his dad could answer Richard grabbed his coat, bow and arrow and raced outside.
Just when he was about to climb the fence into the forest he heard a voice.
"Richard! Richard!" Richard turned around and saw his best friend Samuel sitting on the fence-Samuel was Richard's next door neighbour and very best friend-
"your not thinking about those savages again?" Samuel asked.
Richard sighed, then Samuel glanced at his bow and arrow "wait don't tell me" he said "your going to fight one!"
Richard shook his head "I just want to go into the woods for a bit I'll be back, promise" Samuel shook his head and huffed
"remember what Henry said" he reminded Richard " 'don't go into those woods I tell you one of them almost ripped my ear right off' "
Richard sighed "come on Samuel, Henry is old and everbody knows old people are senile, besides he was talking about the geese not the savages"
Samuel shook his head again and looked at the ground Richard ran over to him and patted his knee "don't worry I'll be back before you know it!"
Before Samuel could respond Richard jumped over the fence and ran into the woods.

He could sense it just like in his dreams the deer he thought he even saw it too he aimed his arrow and-
a flash of gray swept him of his feet and he screamed in pain as he felt something slash his arm.
The second the creature loosened his grip Richard ran, ran as quick as he could to try to get back to his house before this thing killed him.
Then Richard realized I don't want to die like a coward Richard stopped running, I want to die, brave like my mother .
Richard made his choice and turned around muscles tense and felt the breath leave him as the creature crashed into his stomach.
Richard was left lying on the ground once the creatire got up.
Once he regained his breath he found the creature-a human being- sitting on a long running his fingers up and down his sword.
It wasn't a big sword but it was sharp enough to cause serious wounds.
The human had short dark gray hair and white skin-not pale though- and was wearing a gray cloak with a darker gray stripe.
After taking in the human's appearance Richard was overwhelmed with a sense of dissapointment- he was really looking forward to a battle.
The human stopped touching his sword and looked up at him to give him that up-and-down look everybody hates.
Then he smiled "You put up a good fight for a tame-creature" he says sweetly
Richard blinks and then huffs "well I would fight you again if I have to"
"I'm Gray, and I'm training to be a knight of Thunderkingdom" Gray says completely ignoring Richard.
Richard looks completely confused "what?"
Gray looks at him and awe "don't you know about the four kingdoms?" He asks
Richard shakes his head and looks at the ground.
Gray takes a deep breath "well there's Riverkingdom they catch fish and all they care about is beauty they can swim and are compassionate they can also adapt easily and nobody really likes them.
Windkingdom are known for speed, and they can problem solve pretty easily they are easily offended and have too much pride.
Shadowkingdom is sneaky and untrustworthy their also have too much pride and are fierce they are independant.
Lastly Thunderkingdom, the best kingdom, is known for honor, teamwork and battle skills."
Gray finally finishes and tries to catch his breath then he glances at my wound and winces "sorry, about that"
I shrug because I'm trying to be tough, "so your not a knight yet?"
Gray shakes his head "no, did you think I was?" He asked with pride standing up tall on the log with his chest puffed out.
Richard tries to hold in a laugh, then Gray looks down at him and says "I won't be a knight for ages, I just started my training."
Then Gray changed the subject "have you ever eaten venison?"
"what's venison?" Gray rolled his eyes "don't you know anything?" He exclaimed, exasperated.
"Well I guess a tame-creature like you would never understand, you have to be born in the kingdom it makes a big difference."
Richard shook his head "that's not true" he said
Gray didn't reply his hand stopped brushing his sword and he stiffened then he jumped off the log and commanded "I sense people from my kingdom, you have to go!" He tried to tell Richard
"this is their territory they'll tear you to shreds you should see the sizes of their swords- almost as big as you and me combined!"
Richard looked around "stop, worrying" he said "there's no one coming" Gray moaned in exasperation.
Richard prepared to run back towards his house but-
"what's going on here?"
Richard turned around to see a woman strolling out of the cover of the bushes.
She had long silver hair and pale skin and was wearing armour, she had a chestplate, metal boots, a shield, a belt,and finally a helmet that was silver.
The woman took of her hair and did that hair flip thing that Richard had watched on youtube the other day.
"Bluestar!" Gray shouted, he kneeled down and arched his arm where a helmet should have been.
Richard instead said "are you from that youtube video I watched the other day?"
Bluestar completely ignored Richard and looked at
Richard could have sworn he saw a slight eye twitch.
Gray got down even lower when a second human came put from the bushes.
This human was a man with golden hair and stubble getting close to the beard stage, with fair-skin and armour just like Bluestar.
"You shouldn't be so near Tame-place Gray!" He growled.
Richard could see tears pricking at Gray's eyes.
Gray nodded in his bowed position, and tried to get even lower.
"who's this?" Bluestar asked, I looked at the ground "Richard" I mumbled.
Somehow this woman had made me shut up even for one second." He's no threat" Gray said quickly
"he'a not from any of the kingdoms he's just a Tame-creature,just a little tame-creature from the tame-place" Gray chuckled nervously and I exploded.
Well I wanted too but turns out Gray can read the future.
"That's Bluestar queen if my kingdom, and that's Lionheart my teacher!" He hissed under his breath at me although Bluestar stilll heard him.
"Thank you for introductions Gray"
then she turned to me "you fought well for a tame-creature, we have been watching you both, we wondered how you would deal with an intruder Gray, you attacked him bravely" then she muttered under her breath.
Gray was oblivious because he stood up tall.
"You reacted well to the attack, tame-creature Gray is stronger than you but you used your wits to defend yourself."
Richard muttered under his breath but still said thanks, Gray nudged him.
"How would you like to become a knight and becime a part of our kingdom?"
Richard was taken aback and so was Gray.
"B-but tame-creatures can't be knights!" He exclaimed.
Richard prickled at Gray's words.
Bluestar nodded but said "tell Lionheart your desicion, at sunrise meet here, Lionheart and Whitestorm will be waiting for you."
Then she turned on her heel and walked away, Lionheart following and Gray scurrying to catch up.
Before they waltzed out of eye-range Gray turned back and asked "I never caught your name"
Richard nodded "it's Richard"
Okay time for a lesson in lore

Princess/prince=King's daughter the only perks about being this is that you can brag and the deputy can't boss you around.

knight/soldier=warrior
