Chapter 21 – Mother and Daughters

It was 1 day before Life Day's Eve and right now, Ines was getting ready to go out with the twins, and take her daughters to a nice tea time with them, just like her mother did with her when she was young back in Alderaan.

The girls were super excited and were already ready, with their dresses. Today they decided to have similar dresses but with different colors. Padmé was wearing a blue dress and jacket while Alli's dress was light violet.

Ines was getting ready, wearing a beautiful cream dress.

She entered in the living room where her boys were there sitting on the couches. Luke was watching his younger son who was playing with his toys, while Ben was sitting next to him, both having a nice warm blanket on top of them, with Spots sleeping next to them, as usual.

"Okay girls are you ready?" she asked grabbing a white coat.

Lukey saw his mother all dressed and walked towards her.

"Wuke go!"

Ines pouted and crouched in front of her toddler.

"Sorry sweetie but Wuke no go!" she said.

"Yeah Luke, this is only for girls. Boys are not allowed!" Ben said from his spot next to Luke, which make them glare at each other.

Ines sat next to Ben.

"Sweetie I'm sorry. I promise next time you will go to. I should have ask you too and I apologize!"

Ben smiled and wrapped his arms around his mother neck.

"Mom is okay. Do you think I want to be around for how long hearing girl talk. Gross!"

"Hey!" Padmé said putting her hands on her hips.

Luke laughed at that.

"We will have a nice father/sons time too, right guys?" He asked looking at his sons.

"Besides we will bring some of the goodies from the tea store. Right girls?"

"We will think about it!" Alli said flipping her hair, making Luke glare at his daughter.

"Did you see that?"

"They are growing up. Get used too!" Ines said and leaning forward she kissed him. "We see you later!"

"Don't take long cause they are saying the wind will pick up later on and it may rain!"

"We won't. Come on girls!" and they left to spend an afternoon together.

Tea Place:

When Ines got the place, she walked into the reception where am Togruta Male was.

"Good afternoon. How may I help you?" he asked with a smile.

"I have a reservation in the name of Ines Skywalker!" she informed smiling a little when he gasped at the sound of the name.

Checking the list in front of him, he looked back at her and to the twins.

"Yes, of course. Please follow me!" he said walking inside the room, while Ines followed him with the girls right next to her.

"Here, table for 3. I will tell the waitress to bring the tea and the food right away. Will you excuse me!"

"Of course!" Ines said helping the girls taking off their warm coats, that matched the color of the dress and jacket they were wearing. Taking her own, they sat down.

"This is awesome!" Padmé said looking around.

"I know. It reminds me the one we had on Alderaan to be honest!" Ines nod.

After a while the waitress came with a tray and put the tea and the food that including all type of snacks and small sandwiches and pastries and cakes.

"This is all for us?" Alli asked with a big smile.

"Of course. You can eat whatever you want!" The waitress said. And with a nod she left.

"Cool!" the girls said looking at each other.

"But first let me teach you something that your grandmother taught me when I was your age," Ines started. "See you grab the napkin like this, and your put on your lap like this," she said putting the napkin on her lap, smiling when the girls imitated her right away.

"You are so fancy Mama," Padmé smiled.

"Well I got that from your grandmother," she giggled while she pick up the tea pot and pour in the girls cups and hers too. Then she grab a cube of sugar and put on each other. "Now you mix like that with your tea spoon, gentle!" she continue watching the girls doing right away. "Then you out the tea on top of the plate and you grab the cup and blow a little cause it is hot and then you take a small sip!"

The girls did what their mother told them and giggled putting the cup on the plate.

"It is good!" Alli said.

"Now we can eat?" Padmé asked making Ines laugh.

"Yes we can eat sweetie!" and they all grab some of snack and the small sandwiches first. All the food was very delicious.

After a few hours, it was noticeable the girls were getting full.

"I think we are done here right?"

"Already?" Girls said at the same time.

"Mama can't we do this every day?" Padmé asked her making Ines laughed.

"Won't you get tired?"

The 6 years old thought for a while and then she looked at Ines.

"Then every other day!"

Ines shook her head.

"Well we can do this once in a while, but not every day or every week."

"Yes besides soon Mama can do this cause her belly will get to big and she needs to rest!" Alli said to her twin sister making Padmé nod.

"Oh yeah, I forgot that!"

Ines stop and looked at Alli.

"Alli who told you that Mama has a baby in her belly?"

"Nobody, we just knew, right?"

Padmé nod smiling.

"Okay young ladies, nobody can know this right now?"

"Why?" Padmé asked.

"Because your father and I want to wait until New Year and when the baby gets a little bigger. Do you understand?"

The girls nod.

"Don't worry. We wont tell a thing!" Alli said.

"Good!" Ines replied and looked at the waitress she called her.

Once she arrived at their table she smiled.

"I hope everything was good!"

"Oh yes it was. We want the bill and can you fill two boxes with salty food and other with the pastries so I can take to my boys?"

"Of course. I'll be right back with it and the bill!" she said and left.

"Ben will love this!" Alli smiled.

After everything was ready, they stood up and after saying hi to the receptionist, wishing him an Happy Life Day's, they left the place.

The wind was in fact picking up, and as they were leaving, a familiar voice called Ines name.

Turning around, she gasped when she saw Wren.

"Each day more beautiful!" he said making the girls frown and Ines shaking her head. "Relax, I'm not going to try anything or steal your mother from your father," he said looking at the girls. "One that was impossible and second I already found my other half!" he said showing his left hand where a wedding ring was shinning.

"Congratulations!" Ines said hugging him. "I'm happy for you, I'm really am!"

"Thanks!"

"Where is she, I would love to meet her!" Ines asked looking around.

"Oh she is at home cause well in two months our daughter will born and she decided that she was craving some goodies. But it has being a difficult task." he said sighing.

"Maybe we can help, right girls. Just wait," and heading towards the tea place, she talked to the receptionist. After 10 minutes, she came back with a similar bag she was caring. "Here, it has the best snacks and pastries of the capital."

"How much was this?"

"It is our Life Day's gift for both of you!" Ines said smiling.

"Thank you Ines, You didn't have too but if I was that desperate to get home with nothing towards a craving pregnant wife, I would be dead!" he laughed making Ines laugh too.

"Oh yeah trust me." she said and looking up she noticed some drops fall on her face. "I think we better go cause it is starting to rain."

"You are right, this wind is not helping either. Thanks and Happy Life Day to all of your family!"

"You too!" she said and after hugging each other and the girls hugging Wren they all left to their respective homes.

When Ines entered in her apartment, the rain was just start falling heavily.

"We are back!" the girls scream and taking their coats, they jump on the couch next to Luke.

"We brought food for you guys!" Alli said with a smile.

Taken off her coat, Ines smiled.

"Yes you did. Can you grab two plates from the kitchen please, sweetheart?" she asked Luke while she started to opened the boxes.

"No problem!" he said and getting up, he went to the kitchen, returning with two plates.

"Thank you!" and she started to put the snacks and the sandwiches on one plate and the pastries on the other.

After it was done, she sat next to Luke and covered her with the blanket grabbing Lukey and sat him on her lap, while the toddler was eating one of the tiny sandwiches.

"Yummy!" Lukey said all happy.

"It is good, right?" she smiled at her baby.

"It is. Thanks Mom!" Ben said with a smile while he ate too.

"I told you I would bring for you. You are my babies too. And if you want next time you can come with us!"

"It is okay. I don't think I can handle girl talk!" he said making Ines shake her head.

"And about you two. How was it?" Luke asked his daughters, running his right hand on Padmé blonde hair who was sitting next to him.

"It was good. I wanted to do this every day actually!"

"Would you get tired?"

Alli looked at her father.

"That's what mom said. So we will do this but not every month!"

"Good!" Luke smiled. "What what did you girls talk about?"

"Girl stuff!" Ines said winked at them.

"And about grandma Alli," Alli said. "I wish I could have meet her!"

"Actually I wish that too sweetie, cause I never did either!" Luke said.

Ines smiled cause deep inside she knew her mother wanted to meet them too.

"Hey you would never guess who we met when we were leaving the place? Wren!"

Luke looked at her when he heard that name.

"He is back in the capital?"

"Yes and you will never guess what he was doing? He was trying to find goodies for his 7 months pregnant wife."

Luke eyes wide at that information.

"Say what? He's married?"

"Yes. I wish I could have met his wife but she was at home. Which its understandable, 7 months pregnant, with cravings and the weather was not helping and neither the capital with everyone make last minutes shopping. So I helped and went to the tea store and took the same boxes of goodies like this. Come on we know how we can get when we don't have our cravings!" she smiled making Luke nod.

"He has my sympathies on that!" he laughed. "But I'm glad he finally found the right person this time."

"Me too." Ines said when the sound of the rain started to get louder. "Glad we came just in time. And I see we don't need to have dinner!" she laughed while her boys were eating.

Today was a good day and she couldn't wait to do that, with another girl in the future.

What did you think? And Wren is back and his married and with a baby on the way.
