Spikemuth Gym Battles (Part Three)
After Piers returned after getting his Pokemon treated after their battle with Lana, he walks to one end of the battle arena while Leni stood on the other end.
"Are you ready to battle?" asked Piers as he takes out a pokeball.
"Totes, ready." replied Leni, pulling out a pokeball from her waist.
"Go, Leni!" said Lincoln.
"Go get him!" said Lana. At Royal Woods, the Louds, the McBrides, the Santiagos, and Simon Sharp were watching the battle on the Louds television.
"Think Leni can win?" asked Luan.
"She's done well so far in Galar." replied Rita.
"Yeah; I'm sure she can take that Piers guy." said Lynn Jr.
"We all believe in her." said Lynn Sr; back at Spikemuth.
"Scrafty, go!" said Piers, throwing Scrafty's pokeball and releasing it.
"Seaking, go!" said Leni, throwing Seaking's pokeball and releasing her. Scrafty glares at Seaking, weakening her attack strength, courtesy of Scrafty's Intimidate ability.
"Okay, Scrafty, use Brick Break!" said Piers. Scrafty leaps at Seaking and karate chops her, dealing damage.
"Seaking, Water Pulse!" said Leni. Seaking forms a ball of blue water in front of her mouth and launches it; it hits Scrafty, dealing damage. Scrafty begins to stumble around.
"Scrafty's confused." said Lucy.
"Won't stop us; Scrafty, Payback!" said Piers. Scrafty fights through its confusion and releases black streams of energy from its body; they hit Seaking, dealing more damage than it normally would have due to Payback's power doubling due to Scrafty getting hit before using it.
"Seaking, Horn Attack!" said Leni. Seaking leaps at Scrafty and jabs it with her horn, but not dealing much damage due to Intimadate weakening her attack strength.
"Scrafty, Headbutt!" said Piers. Confusion gets the better of Scrafty and it rams its head into a fence post, hurting itself.
"Seaking, Waterfall!" said Leni. Seaking's eyes glowed blue and a pillar of water shoots up from below Scrafty, lifting it up into the air; Seaking swims up the water pillar and rams into Scrafty, damaging it.
"Scrafty, Crunch!" said Piers. Scrafty shakes its head, snapping itself out of its confusion. It jumps at Seaking while its teeth glowed white and it bites her, damaging her, and weakening her defense.
"Seaking, Megahorn!" said Leni. Seaking leaps at Scrafty while her horn glows white and she jabs Scrafty with it, knocking it out.
"All right, Leni!" said Luna.
"That was awesome!" said Sam. Back at the Loud House.
"Yay, Leni!" said Luan.
"That was, literally, amazing." said Lori.
"Keep believing in her, everyone." said Lynn Sr. Back at Spikemuth, Piers returns Scrafty to its pokeball.
"You did okay out there, Scrafty." said Piers. He puts Scrafty's pokeball away and pulls out another pokeball. "Malamar, go!" He throws Malamar's pokeball and releases it. "Use Psybeam!" Malamar releases a multicolored beam of energy from its eyes, and it hits Seaking, dealing damage to her; she begins jumping around.
"Seaking's confused." said Clyde.
"Seaking, use Megahorn!" said Leni. Seaking fights through her confusion and leaps at Malamar while her horn glowed white and she jabs Malamar with it, dealing massive damage due to Malamar being part dark and part psychic, both types being weak against bug type moves.
"Malamar, Night Slash!" said Piers. The end of one of Malamar's tentacles became surrounded by dark energy; it slashes Seaking with it, landing a critical hit on her; Seaking struggles to stay up.
"Seaking, use Soak!" said Leni. Seaking snaps out of her confusion and sprays a torrent of water out of her mouth onto Malamar; it became slightly blue.
"Malamar, Psycho Cut!" said Piers. Malamar swings its other tentacle, releasing a pink, crescent shaped blade of energy from it, and it hits Seaking, knocking her out.
"Don't give up, Leni!" said Lincoln.
"Keep battling!" said Ronnie Anne. Back at Royal Woods.
"Ooh, that was brutal." said Lynn Jr.
"Leni can turn this battle around." said Lisa.
"Go, Weni!" said Lily. Back at Spikemuth, Leni returns Seaking to her pokeball.
"You were, totes, great out there, Seaking." said Leni. She puts Seaking's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Tsareena, go!" She tosses Tsareena's pokeball and releases her.
"Ooh, I think I know why Leni had Seaking use Soak on Malamar." said Lincoln.
"Yeah; it turns any Pokemon it's used on into a water type." said Clyde.
"Tsareena, Magical Leaf!" said Leni. Tsareena releases glowing green leaves from her body, and they hit Malamar, dealing super effective damage.
"Now that Malamar's a water type, Tsareena's grass type moves will be very effective against it." said Lincoln.
"It's so rockin' that this Pokemon journey has made Leni strategic." said Luna.
"I'll say." said Lola.
"Malamar, Pluck!" said Piers. Malamar jumps at Tsareena while its beak glowed white and it jabs Tsareena with it, dealing super effective damage.
"Tsareena, Trop Kick!" said Leni. Tsareena leaps at Malamar and kicks it, dealing super effective damage.
"Malamar, Foul Play!" said Piers. Malamar grabs Tsareena and slams her onto the ground, damaging her.
"Tsareena, Stomp!" said Leni. Tsareena jumps up at Malamar and stomps it, knocking it out.
"Great work, Leni!" said Sam.
"Keep it up!" said Ronnie Anne. Back at Royal Woods.
"Leni's doing great." said Harold McBride.
"She's halfway to winning." said Howard McBride.
"She's just got to hang in there." said Rita. Back at Spikemuth, Piers returns Malamar to its pokeball.
"You did good, Malamar." said Piers. He puts away Malamar's pokeball and pulls out another one. "Skuntank, go!" He throws Skuntank's pokeball and releases it.
"Bogus; poison type Pokemon are strong against grass Pokemon." said Luna.
"You think Tsareena can handle Skuntank?" asked Clyde.
"We'll see." replied Lincoln.
"Skuntank, Sucker Punch!" said Piers. Skuntank charges at Tsareena and paws her, dealing damage.
"Tsareena, use Stomp!" said Leni. Tsareena jumps up and stomps on Skuntank, damaging it.
"Skuntank, Flamethrower!" said Piers. Skuntank releases a stream of fire from its mouth, and it hits Tsareena, dealing super effective damage.
"Tsareena, Rapid Spin!" said Leni. Tsareena spins towards Skuntank and kicks it, knocking it back; energy surges through Tsareena and her speed increases.
"Skuntank, Venoshock!" said Piers. Skuntank fires a stream of purple liquid from its mouth, and it hits Tsareena, dealing super effective damage, and knocking her out.
"Now they're both down to two Pokemon." said Clyde.
"Leni can do it!" said Lana.
"We know she can!" said Lola. Leni returns Tsareena to her pokeball.
"You, like, did your best." said Leni. She puts Tsareena's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Glaceon, go!" She throws Glaceon's pokeball and releases her. "Glaceon, Ice Fang!" Glaceon jumps at Skuntank while ice covered her fangs and she bites Skuntank, damaging it.
"Skuntank, Flamethrower!" said Piers. Skuntank releases a stream of fire out of its mouth, and it hits Glaceon, dealing super effective damage; Glaceon becomes covered in fire.
"Oh, man; Glaceon's burned." said Lincoln. Glaceon flinches in pain from her burn.
"Glaceon, Blizzard!" said Leni. Glaceon releases a blizzard from her mouth, and it hits Skuntank, dealing damage, and encasing it in ice.
"Skuntank, Night Slash!" said Piers. Skuntank remained frozen and couldn't attack. Glaceon receives damage from her burn.
"Glaceon, Freeze-Dry!" said Leni. Glaceon releases a cold wind from her mouth, and it hits Skuntank, dealing damage, and knocking it out.
"Way to go, Leni!" said Sam. Skuntank becomes surrounded by orange energy and it explodes; Glaceon gets caught in the explosion and gets knocked out.
"Man; that Aftermath ability is brutal." said Luna.
"It's a double knockout." said Ronnie Anne. Back at Royal Woods.
"Man, that's rough." said Lynn Jr.
"Even after losing, Skuntank is still able to knock out Glaceon." said Luan.
"Now they both have only one Pokemon left." said Lori. Back at Spikemuth, Leni and Piers both return their Pokemon to their pokeballs.
"You did your best, Glaceon." said Leni.
"You too, Skuntank." said Piers. He and Leni put their pokeballs away and they each pulled out another one. "It comes down to our last Pokemon."
"Totes." said Leni.
"Obstagoon, go!" said Piers, throwing Obstagoon's pokeball and releasing it.
"Go, Lopunny!" said Leni, throwing Lopunny's pokeball and releasing her. "Lopunny, Quick Attack!" Lopunny charges at Obstagoon with incredible speed and rams it, knocking it back.
"Obstagoon, Snarl!" said Piers. Obstagoon releases purple rings of energy from its mouth, and they hit Lopunny, damaging her.
"Lopunny, Double Kick!" said Leni. Lopunny leaps at Obstagoon and kicks it twice, dealing super effective damage.
"Obstagoon, Night Slash!" said Piers. Obstagoon runs at Lopunny while dark energy surrounds its claws, and it scratches Lopunny with them.
"Lopunny, Headbutt!" said Leni. Lopunny leaps at Obstagoon and rams her head against it, dealing damage.
"You use Headbutt, too!" said Piers. Obstagoon grabs Lopunny and headbutts her, damaing her.
"Lopunny, use Bounce!" said Leni. Lopunny jumps up into the air.
"Obstagoon, Hone Claws!" said Piers. Obstagoon's claws glowed red, and an orange aura surrounds its body, raising its attack and accuracy. Lopunny lands hard on her feet onto Obstagoon, damaging it; Obstagoon begins to twitch.
"Obstagoon's paralyzed." said Lucy.
"Obstagoon, Take Down!" said Piers. Obstagoon fights through its paralysis and rams Lopunny, knocking her to the ground; Obstagoon flinches in pain from the recoil damage of Take Down. Lopunny struggles to get up.
"Lopunny, Double Kick!" said Leni. Lopunny leaps at Obstagoon and kicks it twice, dealing super effective damage.
"Obstagoon, Fury Swipes!" said Piers. Paralysis stops Obstagoon from attacking.
"Lopunny, use Pound!" said Leni. Lopunny leaps at Obstagoon and pounds it with her ears, knocking Obstagoon out.
"Leni did it!" said Lincoln.
"She sure did." said Ronnie Anne.
"That was amazing." said Lola. Back at Royal Woods.
"Leni won!" said Lynn Sr.
"It was a close battle." said Rita.
"Leni still whooped Piers." said Lynn Jr. Back at Spikemuth, Piers returns Obstagoon to its pokeball.
"You did well, Obstagoon." said Piers. He puts Obstagoon's pokeball away and walks to Leni, who was checking on Lopunny. "Well, you beat me."
"Yeah; it was, like, a close one for me." said Leni. Piers nods before pulling out a dark badge, along with pokedollars.
"Since you won, I reward you with the Dark Badge." said Piers. He gives Leni the Dark Badge and pokedollars, making Leni squeal with delight. Piers turned towards the group. "Who'll battle me next?"
"I guess I will." said Sam, stepping forward.
"Soon as I get my Pokemon healed, I'll be back, and we'll have our battle." said Piers.
"I'm going to get my Pokemon treated too." said Leni. She returns Lopunny to her pokeball and she and Piers walk to the Spikemuth Pokemon Center while Sam walks into the battle area.
Twenty minutes later, Piers returns and stands where he did during his last battles.
"Ready?" Piers asked Sam.
"Yeah; ready to rock!" Sam replied.
"Like the answer." said Piers. He and Sam each take a pokeball off their waists; Piers throws his, letting out his Scrafty while Sam throws hers, letting out her Meowstic.
"Meowstic, use Fake Out!" said Sam. Her Meowstic moves quickly at Scrafty and claps her hands in front of its face, startling it, making it fall back and hurt itself, along with making it flinch. "Now use Disarming Voice!" Her Meowstic lets out a charming cry, sending out shockwaves that penetrate Scrafty's body, dealing lots of super effective damage.
"Scrafty, use Payback!" said Piers. Scrafty releases streams of dark energy that hits Meowstic, dealing super effective damage.
"Meowstic, use Disarming Voice again!" said Sam. Meowstic releases another cry that does super effective damage to it.
"Scrafty, use Payback again!" said Piers. Scrafty hits Meowstic with another barrage of dark energy streams that does enough damage to knock it out.
"No!" said Luna.
"Sam still has a chance!" said Clyde.
Back at the Loud house, everyone there was watching Sam's battle.
"Poor Meowstic." said Luan.
"I hope Sam can still win this." said Simon.
"She will!" said Lynn Jr.
Back in Spikemuth, Sam was returning her Meowstic to her pokeball.
"You were rad, Meowstic." said Sam. She puts Meowstic's pokeball back on her waist and pulls another one off; she tosses it, releasing her Toxtricity.
"Yeah!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Toxtricity, use Venoshock!" said Sam. Her Toxtricity releases a spray of poison that coats Scrafty, and does enough damage to knock it out.
"Rockin!" said Luna.
"Now they each have three Pokemon left." said Lana.
"Keep it up, Sam!" said Lola.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was continuing to support Sam.
"Toxtricity is so cool!" said Simon.
"I hope it's strong enough to keep this up." said Lori.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers was returning his Scrafty to its pokeball.
"Take a break, Scrafty." said Piers. He puts Scrafty's pokeball back on his waist and pulls another one off; he tosses it, releasing his Malamar.
"Toxtricity, use Charge!" said Sam. Toxtricity gathers electricity into her body, increasing her special defense.
"Malamar, use Psycho Cut!" said Piers. His Malamar swings one of its tentacles, releasing a blade of psychic energy that does super effective damage to Toxtricity, but not a whole lot, thanks to the increases of her special defense.
"Toxtricity, use Overdrive!" said Sam. Her Toxtricity strums the protrusions on her chest as hard as she could, releasing a strong electric shockwave that has its attack power doubled, thanks to Charge; it hits Malamar, dealing a lot of damage.
"Malamar, use Payback!" said Piers. Malamar releases streams of black energy that hits Toxtricity, making her fall to one knee.
"Don't give up, Toxtricity!" said Clyde.
"Toxtricity, use Boomburst!" said Sam. Toxtricity strums the protrusions on her chest again, letting out a powerful soundwave that hits Malamar and sends it flying past Piers, into the fence around them, where it passes out.
"Awesome!" said Luna.
"And I thought your guitar was loud." said Lola.
"Now Piers only has two Pokemon left." said Lincoln.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was cheering Sam on.
"Keep it up, sis!" said Simon.
"This is so awesome!" said Lynn Jr.
"Sam's, literally, doing well." said Lori.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers was returning his Malamar to its pokeball.
"You rocked as best you could." said Piers. He puts his Malamar's pokeball back on his waist and pulls another one off; he tosses it, releasing his Skuntank.
"Toxtricity, use Discharge!" said Sam. Her Toxtricity releases bolts of electricity from its body that hit Skuntank.
"Skuntank, use Sucker Punch!" said Piers. His Skuntank runs at Toxtricity and thrusts its front claw into Toxtricity's stomach, doing enough damage to knock her out.
"Bogus, dude!" said Luna.
"Sam can still win this!" said Clyde.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone was continuing to watch Sam's gym battle.
"Not cool." said Simon.
"You said it." said Lynn Jr.
"Sam can still win." said Lori.
Back in Spikemuth, Sam was returning her Toxtricity to her pokeball.
"You were awesome." said Sam. She puts Toxtricity's pokeball back on her waist and pulls another one off; she tosses it, releasing her Gastrodon.
"Gastrodon should have an advantage over Skuntank." said Lincoln.
"Gastrodon, use Earth Power!" said Sam. Her Gastrodon shakes, making the ground beneath him tremble; suddenly, an eruption of solid dirt and rock explodes from under Skuntank, dealing super effective damage, and lowering its special defense.
"Skuntank, use Night Slash!" said Piers. His Skuntank runs at Sam's Gastrodon and slashes him with claws that were coated in dark energy, doing damage.
"Gastrodon, use Ancient Power!" said Sam. Gastrodon summons up a bunch of rocks that had fossils in them, and launches them at Skuntank, dealing enough damage to knock it out.
"Way to go, Sam!" said Luna.
"Just one more to go!" said Ronnie Anne. A surge of energy erupts from Gastrodon.
"Looks like Gastrodon got the power boost from Ancient Power." said Lincoln.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was continuing to cheer Sam on.
"That was great!" said Simon.
"Now all Sam needs to do is beat that Obstagoon and she'll win." said Luan.
"She's got this." said Lynn.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers was returning his Skuntank to its pokeball.
"You did your best." said Piers. He puts Skuntank's pokeball back on his waist and pulls off his last one; he tosses it, releasing his Obstagoon. "Obstagoon, use Lick!" His Obstagoon runs over to Gastrodon and licks his face.
"That's disgusting." said Lola. Gastrodon suddenly starts twitching.
"Looks like Gastrodon feels the same way." said Clyde.
"No; Gastrodon's paralyzed!" said Lincoln.
"Gastrodon, try using Body Slam!" said Sam. Gastrodon suddenly uses his inner strength to break the paralysis, surprising Piers, and launches himself up into the air; he lands right on Obstagoon, dealing damage; Obstagoon twitches as it gets to its feet.
"Looks like Obstagoon's paralyzed now." said Ronnie Anne with a smirk, making Marnie frown at her before a smirk forms on her face.
"That's not necessarily a good thing for Sam." said Marnie as she snuggles Lincoln's shoulder, making him blush. A red aura appears around Obstagoon and its eyes glowed red.
"What's going on?" asked Sam.
"My Obstagoon has the Guts ability." said Piers. "Having a status condition makes him stronger."
"Not cool." said Luna.
"Obstagoon, use Counter!" said Piers. An orange aura forms around Obstagoon as he fights through paralysis and it explodes from him; it hits Gastrodon, knocking him out.
"Brutal." said Lana.
"Totes." said Leni.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone was still watching Sam's battle against Piers.
"Not good." said Lynn Jr.
"But Sam can still win." said Rita.
"I know she can!" said Simon.
Back in Spikemuth, Sam was returning her Gastrodon to his pokeball.
"You were great, dude." said Sam. She puts her Gastrodon's pokeball back on her waist and pulls her last one off; she tosses it, releasing her Steelix.
"Sam's last Pokemon." said Clyde.
"Hope she'll be able to beat Obstagoon." said Luna.
"Steelix, use Rock Slide!" said Sam. Steelix summons a bunch of large rocks and drops them all onto Obstagoon.
"Obstagoon, use Night Slash!" said Piers. Obstagoon tries to move, but paralysis stops him.
"Steelix, use Slam!" said Sam. Her Steelix lifts her tail up and slams it down hard onto Obstagoon, doing enough damage to knock it out.
"Sam won!" cheered Luna.
"Wicked." said Lucy.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was celebrating Sam's victory.
"She won!" said Rita.
"I knew she would!" said Simon.
"That was awesome!" said Lynn Jr.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers was returning his Obstagoon to his pokeball.
"You did well, Obstagoon." said Piers. He puts Obstagoon's pokeball back on his waist and walks over to Sam. "You did well, Sam."
"Thanks, dude." said Sam. Piers pulls a Dark Badge out of his pocket.
"Since you beat me, you get the Dark Badge." said Piers before he hands the Dark Badge, along with some pokedollars, to Sam.
"Right on! I got the Dark Badge!" said Sam as she holds up her prize.
"So, who's next?" asked Piers.
"I am." said Lucy from behind Piers, scaring him.
"After I recover from my near heart attack and get my Pokemon healed, we'll have our battle." said Piers.
"Okay." said Lucy.
Leni and Sam have won their Dark Badges. Now Lucy will try her skills against Piers. Can she win? Wait and find out.
