Jubilife Festival
The Galaxy Team Survey Corps, along with Commander Kamado, all return to Jubilife Village; as they walk down the main street, Lincoln notices that some people were hanging lanterns and other decorations all over the place.
"What's going on here?" asked Lincoln.
"To commemorate the growth of our home, I decided to hold a festival in celebration." said Commander Kamado.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln.
"We could use some fun after all the work we did in the Crimson Mirelands." said Luan.
"There will be plenty of food and games for the children of the village to enjoy." said Commander Kamado.
"And this festival will help bring the people of the village closer together." said Professor Laventon.
"Another advantage to having one." said Commander Kamado.
"We should get some kimonoes to wear at the festival." said Lori.
"We have plenty to choose from at the clothier." said Leni. "Me and Anthe just made some new designs."
"Let's stop by and check them out." said Lincoln.
"This is going to be fun!" said the twins in unison. While the Louds, Professor Laventon, Akari, and Rei, head over to the clothier; the cloaked figure was watching Lincoln.
'Hmm; so the village is having a festival?' the cloaked figure thought to herself. 'Perhaps I will attend myself so I can spend some time with my future husband.'
Later, at the clothier, the Loud siblings were picking out kimonoes to wear. Lori bought a light blue kimono with a blue sash, Leni bought a seafoam green kimono with a white sash, Luna bought a light purple kimono with a dark purple sash, Luan bought a yellow kimono with a white sash, Lynn bought a red kimono with a white sash, Lincoln bought an orange outfit with a white sash, Lucy bought a black kimono with a black sash, Lana bought a green kimono with a blue sash, Lola bought a pink kimono with a dark pink sash, Lisa bought a green kimono with a light green sash, and Lori bought Lily a lilac-colored one with a white sash.
"These are amazing, Leni." said Lori.
"Thank you." said Leni. "Anthe said she's been getting more business here since she let me work here."
"I can't wait for the festival to begin." said Lincoln.
"We should get ready." said Luna.
When the Loud siblings left the clothier, the cloaked figure enters and removes her hood, revealing it to be Clover.
"I should get something to wear for the festival as well." said Clover. She looks around at all the kimonoes, impressed with each one, until her eyes settle on one that reminded her of Lincoln's first dream involving her; a blue one with white snowflake markings.
"Perfect." said Clover. She grabs the kimono and goes over to Anthe to pay for it.
That night, everyone in the village was enjoying themselves at the festival; Beni was taking advantage of the event to sell his potato mochi to everyone. Kids were playing games also, including one where you throw pokeballs at small statues of Pokemon in order to win one.
The Louds were enjoying themselves as well, the twins were playing with sparklers that someone gave them, they all had plenty to eat, and were having lots of fun as well, along with their Pokemon.
A new restaurant opened in the village while the Louds were in the Crimson Mirelands, and the owner is letting the people sample the dishes served there.
As Lincoln was enjoying himself, Clover was nearby, watching him with adoration, and a potato mochi in each of her hands.
Soon, everyone gathered in front of Galaxy Hall where Commander Kamado was giving a speech.
"Thank you all for attending tonight's festivities." said Commander Kamado. "I, once again, welcome all the new people who recently arrived this morning; like I said, you may be new to our lands, but if you live here, then you are like family to us. And rest assured, you are all quite safe from wild Pokemon within our walls."
"How do we know that for certain?" someone asked.
"What if some get in?" asked a woman.
"Will you be able to protect us?" asked a man. As Commander Kamado was trying to come up with an answer to the questions, Lincoln gets an idea.
"Pardon me, Commander Kamado, but may I make a suggestion?" asked Lincoln.
"What is it?" asked Commander Kamado.
"Perhaps my sister Lynn and I can have a Pokemon battle between the two of us to show the new arrivals our skills in combat." suggested Lincoln.
"That sounds like a good idea." said Commander Kamado.
"I love that idea also." said Lynn with a grin.
"We should all head over to the village's training grounds so my sister and I can have our battle." said Lincoln.
"Let us go, then." said Commander Kamado. Everyone heads over to the training ground; once there, Lincoln and Lynn enter the battle area while everyone else watches from outside the perimiter.
"How should we do this?" asked Lynn.
"We'll each use one Pokemon." said Lincoln. "We'll have them battle until one is unable to; the trainer of the Pokemon that's still standing is the winner."
"Wanna make this more interesting?" asked Lynn.
"How?" Lincoln replied.
"What say the losing trainer has to give the winning trainer half the money they have?" Lynn suggested.
"What?!" asked Lincoln.
"Awww, don't tell me you're afraid." said Lynn with a smirk.
"No, I'm not!" said Lincoln. "Fine, have it your way."
"That's what I wanted to hear." said Lynn. She pulls out one of her pokeballs and throws it, releasing her Machoke. "So, which of your Pokemon are you sending for Machoke to defeat?" Lincoln turned towards his Pokemon.
"I pick Gallade." replied Lincoln. Gallade nods before he leaps up and vanishes, then reappears in front of Lincoln. "You ready, Lynn?"
"You bet." replied Lynn.
"Gallade, use Slash!" said Lincoln. Gallade runs at Machoke and slashes him with one of his blade elbows, damaging him.
"Machoke, use Double Hit!" said Lynn. Machoke psyches himself up, increasing his attack power.
"Gallade, use Calm Mind!" said Lincoln. Gallade closes his eyes in meditation, concentrating his mental energies to increase his offensive and defensive powers.
"Machoke, use Tackle!" said Lynn; Machoke charges at Gallade.
"Teleport!" said Lincoln. Gallade teleports out of the way of Machoke's attack, causing him to miss.
"Where'd he go?" asked Lynn as she and Machoke look around; Gallade reappears in front of Lincoln.
"Psycho Cut!" said Lincoln. Gallade's arm glowed purple, and he swings it, releasing a purple blade of energy at Machoke it hits him, dealing super effective damage, and knocking Machoke out.
"No way!" exclaimed Lynn.
"Linky won!" said Leni. Everyone in the crowd applauded for Lincoln's victory; Clover, who was in the crowd, looked at Lincoln with admiration.
'He's such an incredible trainer.' Clover whispered to herself. 'I wonder if he'll be just as incredible a husband.' Lynn returns Machoke to his pokeball.
"Don't worry; we'll win next time." said Lynn. She turns to walk off the battle area when she felt someone tap her shoulder; she turns and sees Lincoln, holding out his hand.
"I believe you owe me half your money, Lynn." said Lincoln.
"Dang it; I was hoping you'd forget." replied Lynn, reaching into her sachel and pulling out her money; she divided it in half and gave half of it to Lincoln. "Don't be overconfident; next time I'll win."
"Then I'll spend time training my Pokemon." said Lincoln. Lynn walks away while Lincoln walks to Gallade. "You were amazing, Gallade." Gallade nods in response.
"That was amazing!" said a boy.
"And it was exciting to watch!" said another boy.
"Makes me want to catch a Pokemon of my own!" said a girl. The Louds look around and listen to all the comments people were making.
"I wonder if Pokemon battles could become popular?" asked Lori.
"It would make people more interested in Pokemon and make them want to coexist." said Akari who was wearing a pink kimono with a black sash; she looks at Lincoln with a blush on her face.
While the festival was continuing, Lincoln decides to go off somewhere to get some peace and quiet; he goes to the clearing near Prelude Beach and sits down near a small pond.
"That Pokemon battle was very exciting." said Lincoln. As he looks up at the starry night sky, a voice whispers in his ear.
"Hello, my darling." a voice that Lincoln recognized says to him, making Lincoln turn to see Clover; his eyes widen when he notices she was wearing the exact same kimono she wore in his first dream about her.
"Am I dreaming again?" asked Lincoln.
"No, you're awake." said Clover.
"How did you get in the village?" asked Lincoln.
"I was disguised, and the guard wasn't paying attention." said Clover as she goes behind Lincoln and drapes her arms over his shoulders, making him blush.
"Captain Zisu will not be happy if she finds out her guards aren't doing their job." said Lincoln.
"That's their problem." said Clover as she kisses Lincoln's neck multiple times, making him blush some more.
"Did you come here to see me?" asked Lincoln.
"Of course." said Clover as she turns Lincoln's face towards her and looks lovingly into his eyes. "You are my future husband, so I should always know how you're doing."
"I hope no one catches you here and locks you up or something." said Lincoln.
"You're so sweet to care about my well-being." said Clover. She then sits down next to Lincoln and the two spend time looking up at the stars.
"It's really peaceful here." said Lincoln.
"It is." said Clover.
"I will do everything I can to make sure the village and everyone in it is safe from those that wish to do it harm." said Lincoln.
"Don't worry." said Clover. "I'm not interested in doing anything to your home; just trying to make a living."
"Lincoln?" Akari's voice calls out from somewhere.
"It's Akari." said Lincoln. He watches as Akari enters the clearing and looks over at him.
"What are you doing out here?" asked Akari. Lincoln looks at where Clover was, only to see she wasn't there anymore.
"I was... just getting some peace and quiet." said Lincoln.
"Oh, that's okay then." said Akari. "Your sisters are wondering where you are."
"I'll head back before they start worrying about me." said Lincoln.
"Let's go then." said Akari before she grabs Lincoln's hand, making him blush; the sound of growling gets their attention.
"What was that?" asked Akari with alarm as she looks around.
"Maybe a wild Pokemon is around here?" suggested Lincoln, even though he most likely knew what, or who, the growling was coming from.
"Let's just head back to the village." said Akari. As she and Lincoln head back to Jubilife, Clover was glaring at Akari.
"She better let go of my future husband's hand if she knows what's good for her." Clover says as quietly as she can, even with her being angry.
Later, after the festival ended, Lincoln was lying on his futon in the house she was sharing with Luan and Leni, thinking about Clover.
'Clover must really like me if she was willing to risk being caught in order to see me.' Lincoln thinks to himself.
In the middle of the night, in the Crimson Mirelands; Clover was returning to the Miss Fortune Sisters' campsite.
"Clover!" Charm calls out, startling her.
"Y-Yes, Charm?" Clover replied.
"Where were you?!" asked Charm.
"You were gone part of the day and night." said Coin.
"I was just going for a walk." Clover says while looking away.
"For ten hours?!" asked Charm.
"Were you following that Lincoln boy?" asked Coin.
"What I do is my own business!" said Clover.
"We'll talk in the morning." said Charm after she lets out a yawn.
"I just want to get some sleep." said Coin.
"Goodnight,then." said Clover before she goes into her tent; before she blows out her lantern light, she looks at the painting of her and Lincoln as adults, along with their daughter.
'Goodnight, my darling Lincoln.' Clover thinks to herself before she goes to sleep.
The village had a fun festival, with one unexpected guest. What else will happen with the Loud siblings as their work with the Galaxy Team Survey Corps continues?
