Chapter 97: The Mandarin Island Tournament Finals! Misty vs Leaf!
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly focus on Misty and Leaf's battle with each other and is the final chapter of the Mandarin Island Tournament. I hope you all enjoy it!
The chapter begins where the last chapter left off with Misty and Leaf going to throw their Pokeballs forward. When they do the 2 girls then speak.
"Kingdra come out!" "Go! Jellicent!" Both girls say as Kingdra appears for Misty while Leaf's female Jellicent appears. The 2 mons look at each other, having serious looks on their faces as we then cut over to the stands Tracey speaks.
"So, the first battle is going to be Misty's Kingdra against Leaf's Jellicent" Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield the 2 mons along with their trainers continue to look at each other as Lorelai speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon let the battle begin!" Lorelai says as Leaf speaks.
"We'll go first Misty! Jellicent use Energy Ball!" Leaf calls Jellicent creates a green ball of grassy energy and sends it at Kingdra as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra use Dragon Pulse!" Misty calls Kingdra fires out a large purple draconic beam that easily destroys the Energy Ball and heads for Jellicent as Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent use Psychic to send the Dragon Pulse back!" Jellicent's eyes glow and fires out the waves of psychic energy that connect with the Dragon Pulse. Jellicent then sends the move back at Kingdra as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra dive in the water to dodge!" Misty calls Kingdra quickly dives in the water and dodges the attack as the move hits the water Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent dive in the water then use Ominous Wind!" Leaf calls Jellicent quickly dives in the water and when it does the mon begins to spin. As Jellicent's spinning it sends out a ghostly wind that covers the water and hits Kingdra doing damage to the mon as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra quick get out of there!" Misty calls Kingdra quickly swims upward and jumps out of the water as Leaf speaks.
"Now Jellicent use Dazzling Gleam!" Leaf calls Jellicent can feel that all of its stats have increased from the Ominous Wind as it then appears out of the water and is in front of Kingdra. Jellicent sends out a shiny light of fairy energy that hits Kingdra causing super effective damage and making the mon crash back on the water as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra!" Misty calls in worry as when the Dazzling Gleam disappears everyone can see Kingdra laying on the surface of the water groaning in pain. Leaf has a smile on her face as back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"By having Jellicent land that Ominous Wind on Kingdra all of her stats got boosted so when Kingdra came out of the water that allowed for Leaf to have Jellicent use Dazzling Gleam to cause super effective damage to Kingdra" Tracey says as Barry speaks.
"Leaf's really taking this battle seriously" Barry says with the group nodding as Lana speaks.
"Go! Misty!" Lana along with Togepi, Violet, Daisy, and Lily cheer loudly for Misty while Ash, Nemona and Kiawe stay silent and continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Misty looks at Kingdra groaning in pain then begins to think.
"Leaf's really serious about winning this battle if I keep Kingdra in he's going to faint" Misty says to herself as she pulls out Kingdra's Pokeball and speaks.
"Kingdra return!" Misty says as she returns the mon back to its ball Leaf speaks.
"Good choice Misty because if you'd kept Kingdra in Jellicent would've defeated him with her next attack" Leaf says with Jellicent nodding as Misty speaks.
"Yep, I do believe that which is why I switched out Kingdra and I'm going to bring in a different Pokémon" Misty says while holding her next Pokeball in her hand and making Leaf curious as Misty goes to throw the ball and speaks.
"Inteleon come out!" Misty says as she throws the ball forward and sends in Inteleon who lands on a land platform. When Inteleon appears, he has a serious look on his face as Leaf speaks.
"So, Inteleon's next" Leaf says to herself as she looks at Jellicent and speaks.
"Jellicent I'm still keeping you in!" Leaf says with the jellyfish nodding as Misty looks at Inteleon and speaks.
"Let's do this Inteleon!" Misty says with the mon nodding as he along with Jellicent get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent use Energy Ball!" Leaf calls Jellicent fires a ball of grassy energy at Inteleon as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon use Ice Beam!" Misty calls Inteleon, points his right finger forward and fires out an icy beam that easily pierces through the Energy Ball and heads for Jellicent as Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Jellicent moves to the right and dodges the icy beam. Jellicent then fires out a big stream of water out of its mouth that goes to hit Inteleon as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Misty calls Inteleon, covers his body in water and shoots high in the air dodging the Hydro Pump. Jellicent looks at Inteleon as Leaf speaks.
"Now Jellicent use Energy Ball!" Leaf calls Jellicent fires another ball of grassy energy at Inteleon as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon use Ice Beam!" Misty calls Inteleon, points his right finger forward and fires out an icy beam that easily destroys the Energy Ball and heads for Jellicent as Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent use Psychic to send it back!" Leaf calls Jellicent fires the waves of psychic energy that connect with the Ice Beam and begins to send the move back at Inteleon. As the beam's about to hit Inteleon Misty smiles and speaks.
"Inteleon use Dark Pulse!" Misty calls surprising Leaf as Inteleon points his right finger forward and sends out a stream of dark energy that destroys the Ice Beam and hits Jellicent knocking the mon into the water as Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent!" Leaf calls in worry as she sees Jellicent floating on top of the water groaning in pain. Up in the air Inteleon begins falling towards Jellicent and has his right finger pointed at the mon as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon fire another Dark Pulse!" Misty calls Inteleon nods as he shoots out another Dark Pulse that heads for Jellicent as Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent use Dazzling Gleam!" Leaf calls. Before the Dark Pulse hits Jellicent the mon lets out a roar and sends out a big light of fairy energy that easily gets rid of the Dark Pulse and hits Inteleon. Inteleon's sent flying away as he crash lands on a nearby land platform Misty speaks.
"Inteleon!" Misty calls in worry as she looks at the mon who's laying on his back and is groaning in pain. A couple seconds later Inteleon stands back up and sees Jellicent floating in the air as it looks at him Misty speaks.
"Inteleon use Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Inteleon, covers his body in water and shoots upward heading for Jellicent as Leaf speaks.
"That's not going to work Misty! Jellicent use Ominous Wind!" Leaf calls Jellicent nods as it summons a ghostly wind that goes to hit Inteleon as Misty smiles and speaks.
"Inteleon use Protect and keep heading for Jellicent!" Misty calls Inteleon, summons a protective barrier in front of himself and is easily going through the ghostly wind as Leaf speaks.
"That's right I forgot that Inteleon can do that" Leaf says while having a surprised look on her face as a couple seconds later Inteleon hits Jellicent doing damage to the mon. Inteleon then points his right finger forward as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon use Snipe Shot!" "Jellicent quick use Dazzling Gleam!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Leaf, Jellicent's unable to use its attack in time as Inteleon shoots out a water bullet that hits Jellicent. Jellicent groans in pain as it then falls in the water while Inteleon lands on a land platform Leaf speaks.
"Jellicent!" Leaf calls in worry as when she looks at the mon, she can see that it's knocked out. Lorelai makes the call.
"Jellicent's unable to battle Inteleon's the winner!" Lorelai says as Misty smiles and speaks.
"Great job Inteleon!" Misty says happily with Inteleon nodding. Back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"Looks like Misty got the first win" Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Leaf returns Jellicent back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Leaf then pulls out her next Pokeball, looks forward and speaks.
"Drednaw come out!" Leaf says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Drednaw who lands on a land platform. Drednaw looks at Inteleon and has a serious look on its face as Misty speaks.
"So, she's using Drednaw next" Misty says to herself as in the stands Tracey speaks.
"Inteleon's water type moves should be effective since Drednaw's part rock but knowing Leaf she probably has a plan" Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Lorelai calls for the battle to continue as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon let's attack first! Use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Inteleon, points his right finger forward and fires out a large stream of water that goes to hit Drednaw as Leaf speaks.
"Drednaw use Crunch then Rock Polish and Razor Shell!" Leaf calls Drednaw covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down on the Hydro Pump easily destroying it. Drednaw's body then shines brightly as its speed has sharply increased. Drednaw then summons a water blade above its head and jumps forward going to hit Inteleon as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon dodge then use Snipe Shot!" "Drednaw use Crunch then Jaw Lock!" Both trainers' call. Inteleon jumps to the left and dodges Drednaw's attack as the mon lands on the land platform. Before Inteleon can use Snipe Shot Drednaw extends its neck out, covers its teeth in dark energy, and bites down hard on Inteleon's tail causing major damage to the mon. Drednaw continues to bite down on Inteleon's tail until the Jaw Lock move activates Leaf then speaks.
"Now throw Inteleon!" Leaf says Drednaw nods and throws Inteleon away causing the mon to land on a nearby land platform as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon are you okay?!" Misty asks with the mon nodding as he stands back up and looks at Drednaw Leaf speaks.
"Okay Drednaw use Stone Edge!" Leaf calls Drednaw roars as it summons multiple large sharp stones around itself and fires them at Inteleon as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon use Hydro Pump to blow them away!" Misty calls Inteleon, points both of his hands forward and fires out 2 large streams of water from his index fingers. The Hydro Pumps easily destroy the sharp stones and go to hit Drednaw as Leaf speaks.
"Drednaw use Razor Shell then Ice Spinner!" Leaf calls. Drednaw summons a water blade and swings it easily destroying the 2 Hydro Pumps. Drednaw then covers its body in ice, spins forward, and hits Inteleon. Inteleon is sent flying and lands on his back groaning in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Okay Drednaw now use Head Smash!" Leaf calls Drednaw covers its body in blue energy then jumps forward heading for Inteleon as Misty thinks.
"If Inteleon gets hit by that he'll faint I need to return him" Misty says to herself as she pulls out Inteleon's Pokeball and speaks.
"Inteleon return!" Misty says but Inteleon can't return. Misty has a surprised look on her face as Leaf speaks.
"Do it Drednaw!" Leaf calls as Drednaw roars and hits Inteleon creating an explosion as Misty speaks.
"Inteleon!" Misty calls in worry. A few seconds later the smoke clears, and everyone can see Drednaw it takes some recoil damage and is looking at an unconscious Inteleon. Lorelai then makes the call.
"Inteleon's unable to battle Drednaw's the winner!" Lorelai says as Leaf speaks.
"Way to go Drednaw!" Leaf says happily as Drednaw looks at her and smiles. Back in the stands Ash speaks.
"Wait how come when Misty tried to return Inteleon it didn't work?" Ash asks as Kukui speaks.
"It's because of Jaw Lock" Kukui says as Ash speaks.
"What's Jaw Lock?" Ash asks as Kukui speaks.
"Jaw Lock is a move where once a Pokémon locks their jaws on the opposing opponent it forces the target and user to stay in battle until they both faint" Kukui responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"So, that's why Misty wasn't able to return Inteleon" Ash says with Kukui nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Misty returns Inteleon back to his Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Once Misty puts the ball away, she looks forward and sees Leaf returning Drednaw back to its Pokeball then speaks.
"You're returning Drednaw?" Misty asks with Leaf nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, Drednaw did his part for now and it's this one's turn" Leaf says as she pulls out her next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Starmie come out!" Leaf says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Starmie who lands on a land platform. When the mon appears, it looks forward waiting for its opponent to appear as Misty thinks.
"A Starmie's next then I'll go with" Misty says to herself as she pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Kingdra come back out!" Misty says as she throws the ball forward and sends Kingdra back in who lands in the water. When Kingdra appears, he begins to pant heavily as Leaf speaks.
"Are you sure bringing Kingdra back in is a good idea? He looks pretty tired from his battle against Jellicent" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"True but I'm confident that Kingdra will take down your Starmie!" Misty states with Kingdra agreeing with her as Leaf speaks.
"Okay I'm curious. Let's do this Starmie!" Leaf says with Starmie nodding as it along with Kingdra get into battle stances. Lorelai calls for the battle to continue as Leaf speaks.
"Starmie use Psychic!" Leaf calls Starmie fires out the waves of psychic energy that go to hit Kingdra as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra dive into the water to dodge!" Misty calls Kingdra quickly dives underwater and dodges the attack as Leaf speaks.
"Starmie go after Kingdra and use Blizzard!" Leaf calls Starmie dives into the water then sends out a massive Blizzard that begins to freeze the water and heads for Kingdra as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra blow it away with Hyper Beam!" Misty calls Kingdra shoots out a large orange beam that easily cuts through the Blizzard and heads for Starmie as Leaf speaks.
"Starmie use Psychic to send it back!" Leaf calls. Starmie quickly fires the psychic waves that connect with the Hyper Beam then sends it back towards Kingdra as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra dodge!" Misty calls Kingdra quickly moves to the left and dodges the attack. When he dodges Starmie suddenly appears in front of Kingdra and is glowing as Leaf speaks.
"Now Starmie use Dazzling Gleam!" Leaf calls and just when Starmie's about to do that Misty smiles and speaks.
"That's not going to work Leaf! Kingdra use Iron Head!" Misty calls surprising Leaf as Starmie shines bright sending out Fairy energy that goes to hit Kingdra. Kingdra quickly covers his head in steel energy and swims forward. Kingdra's easily going through the Dazzling Gleam and keeps going until he hits Starmie causing damage to the mon. Starmie is sent a few feet away as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra use Twister!" "Starmie dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately, Starmie's unable to dodge as it's flinching. Kingdra then lets out a roar summoning a large twister that's filled with dragon energy and sucks Starmie inside. Starmie spins around in the Twister and keeps spinning until it's then shot out of the water and lands onto a land platform as Leaf speaks.
"Starmie are you okay!?" Leaf asks as Starmie groans in pain. Up in the stands Tracey speaks.
"I didn't know that Misty's Kingdra had Iron Head" Tracey says as Violet speaks.
"She must've taught it to Kingdra last night" Violet says as Barry speaks.
"If that's the case how come she didn't use it when Kingdra was battling Jellicent?" Barry asks as Violet speaks.
"I guess that she was probably caught off guard when Leaf had Jellicent use Dazzling Gleam. Also, Leaf's Jellicent might have the Cursed Body ability which can disable a move for a while. So, upon seeing Kingdra injured, and the possibility of Cursed Body Misty decided to switch out Kingdra." Violet says with Barry nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf looks at Starmie and speaks.
"Starmie are you okay?!" Leaf asks with Starmie nodding as it stands back up Misty speaks.
"Kingdra use Dragon Pulse!" Misty calls as out of the water appears Kingdra who shoots up high into the air. Kingdra then fires out a large Dragon Pulse that heads for Starmie as Leaf speaks.
"Counter with Dazzling Gleam!" Leaf calls as Starmie glows bright and sends out a shiny light that easily destroys the Dragon Pulse and heads for Kingdra as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra use Iron Head!" Misty calls Kingdra covers his head in steel energy falls forward and easily cuts through the Dazzling Gleam. Kingdra keeps going until he hits Starmie causing the mon to slide back a few feet away as Misty speaks.
"Now Kingdra use Dragon Pulse!" Misty calls Kingdra roars and fires out a large Dragon Pulse that heads for Starmie as Leaf speaks.
"Starmie dodge!" Leaf calls but Starmie's unable to dodge as it's flinching from the Iron Head. After that the Dragon Pulse connects with Starmie and creates an explosion as Leaf speaks.
"Starmie!" Leaf calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see that Starmie's laying on its back and is knocked out as Lorelai speaks.
"Starmie's unable to battle Kingdra's the winner!" Lorelai says making Misty happy as she speaks.
"Great job Kingdra!" Misty says with Kingdra nodding. In the stands Lana along with Misty's sisters cheer loudly for Misty. Back on the battlefield Leaf returns Starmie back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Leaf then pulls out her next Pokeball, looks forward and speaks.
"Walrein it's your turn!" Leaf says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Walrein who lands on a land platform. Walrein has a serious look on its face as Misty speaks.
"She's using her Walrein next" Misty says to herself as Lorelai speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Lorelai calls as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra quick return!" "Oh no you don't! Walrein use Ice Shard then Ice Beam!" Both trainers' call. Before Misty can return Kingdra Walrein quickly fires out multiple shards of ice that hit Kingdra's face, Walrein then fires an icy beam that hits Kingdra and sends the mon flying. Kingdra lands back in the water a few feet away as Misty speaks.
"Kingdra!" Misty calls in worry as when Kingdra floats back up to the surface everyone can see that he's knocked out as Lorelai speaks.
"Kingdra's unable to battle Walrein's the winner!" Lorelai says allowing for Leaf and Walrein to cheer. Misty then returns Kingdra back to his Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Misty then pulls out her next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Palafin come out!" Misty says as she throws the ball forward and sends out Palafin who lands in the water. Palafin has a smile on his face and is ready to battle as Leaf speaks.
"Let's keep going Walrein!" Leaf says with Walrein nodding as it along with Palafin get into battle stances. Lorelai calls for the battle to continue as Leaf speaks.
"Walrein use Ice Shard!" Leaf calls Walrein begins firing multiple shards of ice at Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Palafin dodge then use Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Palafin manages to easily dodge the shards of ice. After dodging one more Palafin covers his body in water and shoots forward heading for Walrein as Leaf speaks.
"Walrein stop Palafin with Ice Beam!" Leaf calls Walrein fires out an icy beam that heads for Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Palafin dodge then use Flip Turn!" Misty calls Palafin, manages to easily evade the icy beam and keeps going until he hits Walrein. After that Palafin quickly goes back in his Pokeball as Quaquaval appears taking his place Leaf speaks.
"I see so her plan was for her to have Palafin use Flip Turn to switch in Quaquaval" Leaf says to herself as she sees Quaquaval land on a land platform Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval use Aqua Cutter!" Misty calls Quaquaval, covers his two front feet in water and swings them forward sending out 2 water blades that head for Walrein as Leaf speaks.
"Walrein use Ice Beam to get rid of them!" Leaf calls Walrein fires out an icy beam that easily goes through the two water blades and heads for Quaquaval as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval dodge then use Aqua Jet and Liquidation!" Misty calls Quaquaval moves to the right and easily dodges the Ice Beam. Quaquaval then covers his body in water and shoots forward. Quaquaval turns his right leg into a water blade, points it forward and continues heading for Walrein as Leaf speaks.
"Walrein counter with Strength!" Leaf calls Walrein roars as it bulks up its body shoots forward and collides with Quaquaval. Once they collide the 2 mons begin pushing each other back and forth. As they continue Quaquaval gets his left leg ready as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval use Liquidation!" "Walrein dodge then use Aqua Tail!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval turns his left leg into a water blade and goes to hit Walrein. But Walrein manages to dodge in time, the mon then covers its tail in water spins around and slams its tail hard into Quaquaval's stomach making the mon cough in pain. Quaquaval's sent flying and lands in the water a few feet away as Leaf speaks.
"Now Walrein use Whirlpool!" Leaf calls Walrein lets out a mighty roar and summons a big Whirlpool where Quaquaval landed. Quaquaval's consumed in the move and begins to spin around groaning in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Okay Walrein use Blizzard!" Leaf calls and when Walrein's about to use the move Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval use Aqua Jet to ride the Whirlpool!" Misty calls with Quaquaval nodding as he quickly covers his body in water and begins to ride the move. A couple seconds later Quaquaval shoots out of the Whirlpool and is now high in the air. Leaf along with Walrein have surprised looks on their faces but Leaf quickly recomposes herself and speaks.
"Walrein quick use Avalanche!" Leaf calls Walrein roars and summons a black cloud over Quaquaval. Quaquaval looks up and sees large chucks of ice coming out of the cloud as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval use your legs to kick the Ice at Walrein!" Misty calls Quaquaval nods and begins using his legs to kick the large chunks of ice at Walrein and hit the mon. Leaf has a surprised look on her face as she sees Quaquaval continue to kick the ice chunks at Walrein Leaf speaks.
"Walrein use Ice Spinner!" Leaf calls Walrein covers its body in ice and begins to spin easily destroying all of the ice chunks. Once Walrein gets rid of the ice it stops spinning as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval use Aqua Jet then Liquidation!" Misty calls before Leaf can call for a command Quaquaval covers his body in water, shoots forward, turns his right leg into a water blade and hits Walrein. Walrein's sent sliding back a few feet away and groans in pain. Quaquaval then lands on the land platform and begins running towards Walrein as Leaf speaks.
"Walrein use Blizzard to stop Quaquaval!" Leaf calls Walrein, lets out a mighty roar and summons a large blizzard that heads for Quaquaval as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval block with your feathers!" Misty calls Quaquaval, points his blade feathers forward and begins to easily block the Blizzard. Leaf along with the crowd have surprised looks on their faces as when the Blizzard goes away Quaquaval appears in front of Walrein and has his legs ready as Misty speaks.
"Now Quaquaval use Aqua Step then Close Combat!" "Walrein dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Leaf Walrein's unable to dodge in time as Quaquaval covers both of his feet in water then begins to kick and use his blade feathers on Walrein repeatedly. Quaquaval continues to hit Walrein until he stops using his blade feathers and continues kicking Walrein with his legs. Quaquaval continues to kick Walrein more and more until Quaquaval spins around and kicks Walrein hard in the stomach with his right foot. Walrein coughs in pain and is then sent flying until it lands on another land platform a few feet away Leaf speaks.
"Walrein!" Leaf calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Walrein laying on its back knocked out as Lorelai speaks.
"Walrein's unable to battle Quaquaval's the winner!" Lorelai calls making Misty smile as she speaks.
"Great job Quaquaval!" Misty says happily as Quaquaval looks at her and smiles. Back in the stands the group cheer for Misty as Violet speaks.
"Nice Misty defeated another one of Leaf's Pokémon!" Violet says happily as Lillie speaks.
"How come Leaf didn't switch out Walrein when Quaquaval appeared?" Lillie asks as Kukui speaks.
"You see Misty didn't give Leaf enough time to switch out Walrein as once Quaquaval came out it instantly started to attack Walrein." Kukui answers with Lillie nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf returns Walrein back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Once Leaf puts the ball away, she looks forward and speaks.
"Not bad Misty you took care of my Walrein pretty quickly" Leaf says with Misty nodding as Leaf pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"But let's see how Quaquaval will do against my next one. Poliwrath come out!" Leaf says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Poliwrath who lands on a land platform. When Poliwrath appears, it has a serious look on its face as Misty thinks.
"So, Poliwrath's next" Misty says to herself as she looks at Quaquaval and speaks.
"Quaquaval are you okay to continue?" Misty asks with the mon nodding as he along with Poliwrath get into battle stances. Lorelai calls for the battle to continue as Misty speaks.
"Use Air Slash!" Misty calls Quaquaval jumps high in the air, his feet glow then begins kicking them forward sending out multiple slashes of wind at Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath blow them away with Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath takes a deep breath and fires out a big stream of water that easily destroys the slashes of wind and heads for Quaquaval as Misty speaks.
"Use Liquidation and head for Poliwrath!" Misty calls Quaquaval, turns his right leg into a water blade then descends and collides with the Hydro Pump. When Quaquaval collides with the move he begins to easily cut through the attack and is heading for Poliwrath. Just when Quaquaval's about to completely cut through the move Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath back away then use Bulk Up!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly jumps back as Quaquaval gets rid of the Hydro Pump and jabs the land platform instead. Poliwrath lands a few feet away then bulks up its body increasing its physical attack/defense. Quaquaval looks at Poliwrath as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval use Air Slash!" Misty calls Quaquaval begins firing multiple slashes of wind towards Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Ice Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath covers both of its fists in ice and begins to easily punch the slashes of wind away. As Poliwrath continues to do that Quaquaval begins running towards Poliwrath as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval when you get close use Aqua Step!" Misty calls Quaquaval nods and keeps running forward. Meanwhile Poliwrath has just finished destroying all of the slashes of wind it looks forward and sees Quaquaval reach it. Quaquaval covers his left leg in water and goes to hit Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath knock Quaquaval's leg away with your right arm then use Dynamic Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath swings out its right arm and manages to knock away Quaquaval's left leg. Before Quaquaval can attack with his right leg Poliwrath's left fist glows and punches Quaquaval hard in the stomach. Quaquaval coughs in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Now Poliwrath use Circle Throw!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly grabs Quaquaval's right arm and begins to spin the mon. Poliwrath continues to spin Quaquaval until it throws the mon high into the air as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Bulk Up again and when you get close use Close Combat!" "Quaquaval use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Poliwrath quickly jumps high in the air bulks up its body again by increasing its attack/defense and reaches Quaquaval. Before Quaquaval can use Aqua Jet Poliwrath begins to punch/kick Quaquaval repeatedly. Poliwrath continues to do that until it punches Quaquaval hard in the face with its left fist and sends Quaquaval crashing back down on a land platform creating a dust cloud. When the does clears Quaquaval's laying on his back groaning in pain then sees Poliwrath falling down towards him as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Dynamic Punch!" "Quaquaval knock Poliwrath away with Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. As Poliwrath continues falling towards Quaquaval, Quaquaval fires out a large stream of water out of his mouth that goes to hit Poliwrath. Poliwrath manages to easily dodge the attack by moving to the left. Poliwrath's right fist then glows and when it reaches Quaquaval it punches the mon hard in the stomach creating a big explosion as Misty speaks.
"Quaquaval!" Misty calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Poliwrath standing over an unconscious Quaquaval as Lorelai speaks.
"Quaquaval's unable to battle Poliwrath's the winner!" Lorelai calls allowing for Leaf to cheer while Poliwrath flexes its muscles. Back in the stands Lana speaks.
"Darn Quaquaval lost" Lana says as Violet speaks.
"Even though Quaquaval was faster than Poliwrath Leaf made sure to have Quaquaval come in close as she knew that her Poliwrath would be able to overpower Quaquaval." Violet says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Misty's sad that Quaquaval lost and returns the mon back to his Pokeball. Misty tells Quaquaval thank you and puts the ball away. Once Misty does that she looks forward and begins to think.
"Leaf's Poliwrath is very physically strong, so I need to use a Pokémon that can match its strength and I've the perfect one" Misty says to herself as she pulls out her next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Palafin come back out!" Misty says as she throws the ball forward and sends out Palafin who's now in his hero form. Palafin lands on a land platform then looks at Poliwrath with Poliwrath looking at him. Back in the stands Kukui speaks.
"That's a smart move on Misty's part as Palafin should be able to match Poliwrath's strength" Kukui says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Poliwrath along with Palafin continue to look at each other as Leaf speaks.
"So, Palafin's back in and he's in his hero form." Leaf says to herself as she looks at Poliwrath and speaks.
"Poliwrath I'm still keeping you in!" Leaf says with the mon nodding as Misty speaks.
"Palafin let's get revenge for Quaquaval!" Misty says with the mon nodding as he along with Poliwrath get into battle stances. The 2 mons continue to look at each other until Lorelai speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Lorelai says as Leaf speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath fires out a large stream of water from its mouth that goes to hit Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Counter with Jet Punch!" Misty calls Palafin punches his right fist forward and sends out a water fist that collides with the Hydro Pump creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Poliwrath, it's in front of Palafin and has its right fist ready as Leaf speaks.
"Use Dynamic Punch!" "Palafin block!" Both trainers' call. Poliwrath's right fist glows and goes to punch Palafin. Palafin quickly brings up his arms and blocks the attack. When Palafin does that the force of the punch sends Palafin sliding back a few feet away, he manages to stop himself then looks at Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"He managed to block" Leaf says to herself as Misty speaks.
"Palafin it's our turn to attack use Jet Punch then Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Palafin quickly punches his left fist forward sending out a water fist that heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath knock it away!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly swings out his left arm and easily knocks away the water fist. When that happens Palafin suddenly appears. The mon is completely covered in water and hits Poliwrath hard in the stomach causing some damage and pushes Poliwrath back a little bit as Misty speaks.
"Now use Liquidation!" Misty calls Palafin, turns both of his arms into water blades and shoots forward heading for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath dodge then use Dynamic Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath manages to easily dodge Palafin's blades by jumping back. Poliwrath's left fist glows and jumps forward going to punch Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Palafin counter with Power-Up Punch!" Misty calls Palafin sees Poliwrath coming he quickly covers his right fist in orange fighting energy and collides with Poliwrath. When the 2 mons collide, they create a shockwave and begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. As they continue to do that suddenly, there's an explosion that forces the 2 mons to slide away from each other as Misty speaks.
"Palafin use Aqua Jet then Power-Up Punch!" Misty calls Palafin, manages to stop himself, covers his body in water and shoots forward. Palafin covers his right fist in orange fighting energy and continues heading for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Rain Dance then Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly roars to the sky turning it dark and summoning rain. Poliwrath then looks forward and fires out a big Hydro Pump that's powered up by the Rain Dance and goes to collide with Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Palafin quick block!" Misty calls Palafin quickly brings up his arms and blocks the Hydro Pump as the move pushes him away and causes him to land in the water. A couple seconds later Palafin floats back to the surface and sees Leaf holding out Poliwrath's Pokeball as she speaks.
"Poliwrath return!" Leaf says as Poliwrath goes back in its Pokeball, Leaf puts the ball away as she pulls out another Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Lanturn come out and use Thunder!" Leaf calls as she throws the ball forward and sends out her shiny Lanturn who lands in the water. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces while Lanturn smiles. Lanturn's smile quickly goes away as it roars to the sky and summons a large electric bolt that heads for Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Palafin dodge!" Misty calls Palafin quickly jumps out of the water and lands on a landing platform as the Thunder comes crashing down on the water creating an explosion as Leaf speaks.
"Use Charge Beam!" Leaf calls Lanturn quickly fires out an electric beam that hits Palafin before Misty could tell the mon to dodge. Palafin's pushed back into the water and is groaning in pain while Lanturn's special attack power increases. The mon begins to spark its body as Leaf speaks.
"Now Lanturn use Discharge!" Leaf calls Lanturn lets out a mighty roar as it fires out electric bolts everywhere Misty speaks.
"Palafin quick use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Misty calls Palafin quickly covers his body in water and begins flying around the battlefield doing his best to dodge. As Palafin continues to dodge Lanturn roars increasing the number of the bolts more and making it more difficult for Palafin. A couple seconds later multiple electric bolts hit Palafin and begin to shock the mon causing super effective damage and making the mon cry out in pain until there's an explosion as Misty speaks.
"Palafin!" Misty calls in worry as out of the cloud of smoke appears Palafin who falls on a landing platform. Palafin lands on his stomach and is groaning in pain as Leaf speaks.
"So, Palafin can still battle. Okay Lanturn let's end this! Use Thunder!" Leaf calls Lanturn roars to the sky and summons a large electric bolt that heads for Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Palafin quick use Flip Turn!" Misty calls Palafin nods as he quickly stands back up covers his body in water then shoots forward dodging the Thunder as the move comes crashing down on the land platform and easily destroys it. Meanwhile, Palafin manages to hit Lanturn causing damage to the mon and pushing it back a couple feet away. Before Lanturn can counter Palafin quickly goes back in his Pokeball as Carracosta appears and takes his place. Carracosta lands on a landing platform and lets out a roar as he's ready to battle Leaf speaks.
"Even though Carracosta's out Lanturn's still winning this! Lanturn use Charge Beam!" Leaf calls Lanturn fires out an electric beam that goes to hit Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta dodge then use Stone Edge!" Misty calls Carracosta quickly jumps to the left and dodges the Charge Beam as he lands on another land platform. Carracosta then creates a large sharp stone and fires it at Lanturn as Leaf speaks.
"Lanturn get rid of it with Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls. Lanturn fires out a large stream of water that easily destroys the sharp stone and heads for Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta dodge then use Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Carracosta quickly moves to the left and dodges the move. Carracosta then covers his body in water, shoots forward and hits Lanturn causing damage to the mon as Leaf speaks.
"Use Thunder!" "Carracosta use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Lanturn roars as it summons another large electric bolt from the sky that heads for Carracosta, but the mon quickly covers his body in water and manages to dodge the attack. Once Carracosta dodges Lanturn's sparking its body as Leaf speaks.
"Lanturn use Discharge!" Leaf calls Lanturn, lets out a mighty roar and sends out multiple electric bolts everywhere as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta keep using Aqua Jet to dodge!" Misty calls with Carracosta nodding as he continues to fly around the battlefield and is easily dodging the electric bolt Jake then speaks.
"Would you look at that everyone even though there's multiple electric bolts going everywhere contestant Misty's Carracosta is easily evading them!" Jake says as he along with everyone look on in amazement while Leaf has a surprised look on her face. Back in the stands Barry speaks.
"Wait how is Carracosta easily evading those electric bolts?" Barry questions as Violet speaks.
"It's because of Carracosta's ability Swift Swim which increases Carracosta's speed while it's raining" Violet says as Tracey speaks.
"That explains why she had Palafin use Flip Turn to bring in Carracosta because she knew that Carracosta would have a much easier time to avoid the Discharge because of his ability" Tracey says with Violet nodding as they along with the others continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Carracosta continues to easily evade the electric bolts, Leaf then remembers that Misty's Carracosta has the Swift Swim ability and speaks.
"So that's why she brought in Carracosta" Leaf says to herself as she smiles and speaks.
"Smart thinking Misty you took advantage of the rain that Poliwrath setup which allowed for Carracosta's ability to activate" Leaf says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, and now Lanturn won't be able to hit Carracosta" Misty says while having a smile on her face as Leaf smiles too and speaks.
"Well then guess it's time to try a different approach. Lanturn use Surf!" Leaf calls Lanturn stops using Discharge and lets out a mighty roar summoning a large wave of water that heads for Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"That's not going to stop us! Carracosta keep using Aqua Jet then use Liquidation!" Misty calls Carracosta nods as he heads for the large wave. Carracosta turns both of his arms into water blades and manages to easily slice the large wave in half making Misty smile as Leaf speaks.
"Now Lanturn use Electro Web!" Leaf calls surprising Misty as Lanturn quickly summons a ball of electricity and fires it at Carracosta. Once the move reaches Carracosta it then opens up becoming a net that wraps around Carracosta and causes the mon to land on a landing platform. Once that happens Carracosta begins trying to stand back up but the moment he does the electric net begins to shock him making Carracosta cry out in pain as Leaf speaks.
"With that Carracosta won't be able to move. Lanturn use Discharge!" "Carracosta quick dodge!" Leaf calls Lanturn, lets out a mighty roar and fires out multiple electric bolts that head for Carracosta. Carracosta tries to dodge but the electric web shocks him again stopping him from moving and causing the Discharge to connect. Once the Discharge connects Carracosta cries out in pain until there's an explosion as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta!" Misty calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Carracosta laying on his stomach groaning in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Lanturn let's finish Carracosta off use Thunder!" Leaf calls Lanturn roars to the sky and summons a large Thunder that heads for Carracosta. Back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"If Misty doesn't get Carracosta out of there fast he's going to lose." Tracey says as Barry speaks.
"But what can she do? Every time Carracosta tries to move the electric web stops him" Barry says. Meanwhile, Lana, Togepi, Violet, Lily, Daisy, Lillie, and Burnet continue cheering Misty on while Ash, Pikachu, Kiawe, Nemona, and Kukui stay quiet and continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield the Thunder's getting closer to Carracosta as Misty begins to think.
"This isn't good I need to get Carracosta out of there. I can try returning Carracosta back, but I don't think I'll be able to make it in time" Misty says to herself as she's trying to think of something she thinks back to last night's training and remembers that Carracosta learned a new move and continues to think.
"I'm not sure if it'll work but I'll have to try" Misty says to herself as she looks forward and speaks.
"Carracosta use Earthquake!" Misty calls making Leaf confused as Carracosta lets out a roar and slams his right arm down on the land platform causing the entire battlefield to shake. When that happens Lanturn groans in pain from the move forcing it to lose its concentration on the Thunder as the move crashes near the land platform that Carracosta was on creating an explosion and sending Carracosta flying as he lands safely on another land platform instead Misty smiles and speaks.
"Yes! It worked!" Misty says happily while Leaf has a surprised look on her face. Back in the stands Kukui speaks.
"I see so by calling for Earthquake it caused Lanturn to lose its concentration causing the move to land near Carracosta so that it doesn't hit him impressive" Kukui says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Leaf looks at Misty and speaks.
"Wow Misty, I didn't expect you to call for Earthquake" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"Honestly I wasn't expecting to call for the move either as I felt as though it would be useless to use it on a water field but I'm happy that it worked out" Misty responds with Leaf nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Well, you may've dodged that Thunder but Carracosta's still tied up by the Electric Web and he's still trapped in that net making him a sitting Ducklett so we still have the advantage. Now Lanturn use Charge Beam!" Leaf calls Lanturn fires out a beam that heads for Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"That's true and now I believe it's time for Carracosta to break free from the net. Carracosta use Liquidation and dodge!" Misty calls Carracosta nods as when he goes to use the move the electro web shocks him a little bit, but Carracosta manages to turn his arms into water blades, breaks out of the electric net and dodges the Charge Beam. Leaf has a surprised look on her face as she then calls for her next command.
"Use Discharge Lanturn!" Leaf calls Lanturn roars and fires out multiple electric bolts that head for Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Misty calls Carracosta, covers his body in water and begins to easily dodge the electric bolts as Leaf speaks.
"Lanturn use Surf!" Leaf calls Lanturn roars and summons a large wave of water that heads for Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta use Liquidation!" Misty calls Carracosta's arms become water blades and slashes the large wave in half once he does that Leaf speaks.
"Now use Electro Web!" Leaf calls Lanturn quickly fires out an electric ball that turns into a web as Misty speaks.
"We're not falling for that again! Carracosta use Stone Edge then Shell Smash!" Misty calls Carracosta quickly creates a large sharp stone and fires it forward. The move easily goes through the electric net and hits Lanturn causing damage to the mon. Lanturn groans in pain while Carracosta shines brightly as a blue aura goes down showcasing that his defense and special defense have decreased. But 1 second later there's a red aura that goes up Carracosta's body showcasing that his attack, special attack, and speed stats have increased sharply. Carracosta looks at Lanturn as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta head for Lanturn!" Misty calls Carracosta begins falling towards Lanturn as Leaf speaks.
"Lanturn use Thunder!" Leaf calls Lanturn quickly sparks its body and roars firing a large electric bolt that heads for Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta use Rollout!" Misty calls Carracosta curls into a ball and begins rolling downward. Carracosta connects with the Thunder and is easily bypassing it which surprises Leaf as Misty speaks.
"Do it Carracosta!" "Lanturn dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Leaf Lanturn's unable to dodge in time as Carracosta comes crashing down on Lanturn creating an explosion as Leaf speaks.
"Lanturn!" Leaf calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Carracosta who jumps back and lands on a land platform. Once Carracosta lands he immediately gets on one knee and begins panting heavily while looking forward. A couple seconds later the smoke clears, and everyone can see Lanturn floating on the surface of the water and is knocked out. The Rain Dance disappears as Lorelai makes the call.
"Lanturn's unable to battle Carracosta's the winner!" Lorelai says making Misty happy as she speaks.
"We did it! Great job Carracosta!" Misty says happily as Carracosta looks at her and smiles. The crowd lets out a cheer too while for Leaf she's sad that Lanturn lost but then smiles and returns the mon back to its Pokeball. Leaf tells Lanturn thank you then looks forward pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Drednaw come back out!" Leaf says as she throws the ball forward and sends out Drednaw who lands on a land platform. Once Drednaw appears it has a serious look on its face and looks at Carracosta with Carracosta looking at it as Misty speaks.
"So, she brought Drednaw back out" Misty says to herself as she looks over at Carracosta who looks back at her and tells Misty that he can still battle. Misty nods then looks forward and speaks.
"Okay Carracosta let's keep going!" Misty says with Carracosta nodding as he stands back up looks at Drednaw and roars Leaf then speaks.
"I'm counting on you Drednaw!" Leaf says with Drednaw nodding as it along with Carracosta get into battle stances. Lorelai calls for the battle to continue as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta let's attack first! Use Scald!" Misty calls Carracosta fires out a hot stream of water that heads for Drednaw as Leaf speaks.
"Drednaw use Crunch then Rock Polish!" Leaf calls Drednaw covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down on the Scald easily destroying it. Drednaw then roars as it shines brightly and can feel that its speed has increased sharply as Misty speaks.
"Use Liquidation!" Misty calls Carracosta, turns both of his arms into water blades, jumps forward and goes to hit Drednaw with his right blade as Leaf speaks.
"Drednaw dodge then use Razor Shell!" Leaf calls Drednaw quickly jumps back and avoids Carracosta's attack as the mon slashes the platform instead. Drednaw then summons a water blade and shoots forward going to hit Carracosta as Misty speaks.
"Carracosta dodge!" Misty calls. When Carracosta's about to dodge he feels the pain he received from his battle with Lanturn making the mon stop surprising Misty as Drednaw then slashes Carracosta's stomach. Carracosta groans in pain as he then falls on his back, everyone looks at the mon and can see that he's knocked out. Lorelai then makes the call.
"Carracosta's unable to battle Drednaw's the winner!" Lorelai calls allowing for Leaf and Drednaw to cheer in victory with the crowd cheering as well. Misty's sad that Carracosta lost but returns the mon back to his Pokeball and tells him thank you. Misty then pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Palafin come back out!" Misty says as she throws the ball forward and sends Palafin back in (He's not in his hero form anymore). When Palafin appears, he lands in the water, has some scratches on his body and is panting heavily. Back in the stands Lillie speaks.
"Misty's Palafin looks tired" Lillie says as Kukui speaks.
"Like what happened with Carracosta Palafin's probably still tired from his battle against Lanturn" Kukui says with Lillie nodding. Back on the battlefield Misty begins to think.
"Palafin's injured from his battle against Lanturn and he's not in his hero form anymore. But that's fine as I'm confident that Palafin can still beat Drednaw without that form" Misty says to herself as she looks at Palafin and speaks.
"Palafin, I believe in you!" Misty says with Palafin nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Let's take down Palafin Drednaw!" Leaf says with Drednaw nodding as it along with Palafin get into battle stances. Lorelai calls for the battle to continue as Misty speaks.
"Use Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Palafin, covers his body in water and shoots forward heading for Drednaw as Leaf speaks.
"Counter with Crunch!" "Palafin dodge then use Aqua Tail!" Both trainers' call. Drednaw covers its teeth in dark energy and goes to bite down on Palafin, but the mon manages to dodge. Palafin then covers his tail in water and slaps Drednaw hard across the face causing damage to the mon as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Crunch!" Leaf calls Drednaw quickly extends its neck forward covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down hard on Palafin's tail causing more damage to the mon as Leaf speaks.
"Now throw Palafin away then use Stone Edge!" Leaf calls Drednaw nods as it tosses Palafin high into the air. Drednaw then creates multiple large stones around itself and launches them at Palafin as Misty speaks.
"Palafin use Liquidation!" Misty calls Palafin turns both of his fins into water blades, shoots downward and begins to easily cut through the sharp stones. Once Palafin gets rid of the sharp stones he heads for Drednaw as Leaf speaks.
"Drednaw dodge then use Head Smash!" Leaf calls Drednaw quickly backs away as Palafin slashes the land platform instead. Drednaw lands a few feet away, covers its body in blue energy and shoots forward heading for Palafin. Palafin sees Drednaw getting closer and just when Drednaw's about to make contact with Palafin Misty speaks.
"Palafin use Aqua Jet to dodge then use Wave Crash!" Misty calls Palafin, quickly covers his body in water and moves to the right easily evading Drednaw's attack. Palafin's now on Drednaw's left side he covers his body in an intense water shoots forward and hits Drednaw. Drednaw's sent flying and crashes on a land platform a few feet away creating a dust cloud as Leaf speaks.
"Drednaw!" Leaf calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Drednaw laying on its right side and is knocked out as Lorelai makes the call.
"Drednaw's unable to battle Palafin's the winner!" Lorelai calls allowing for Misty and Palafin to cheer. Palafin does take some recoil damage from the Wave Crash but then goes back to cheering. Back in the stands Lana along with Violet, Daisy, and Lily cheer too as Kiawe speaks.
"And now Leaf has one more Pokémon left" Kiawe says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Leaf returns Drednaw back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Leaf then pulls out her final Pokeball and speaks.
"Poliwrath come out!" Leaf says as she throws the ball forward and sends out Poliwrath who lands on a land platform. When Poliwrath appears, it has a serious look on its face, punches its fists together then looks at Palafin with Palafin looking at it as Misty begins to think.
"Poliwrath's Leaf's final Pokémon Palafin's not going to last much longer but he should be able to land a hit on Poliwrath" Misty says to herself as she looks at Palafin and speaks.
"Palafin, I know you're tired but I'm still going to keep you in!" Misty says with Palafin nodding as he gets in a battle stance with Poliwrath doing the same. Lorelai then calls for the battle to continue as Misty speaks.
"Palafin use Wave Crash!" Misty calls Palafin, lets out a roar covers his body in an intense water and shoots forward heading for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath stop Palafin!" Leaf calls Poliwrath nods as it points both of its hands forward and collides with Palafin. When that happens Palafin begins trying to knock Poliwrath away, but the mon is holding on strong. As Palafin continues trying to push Poliwrath back Poliwrath begins to overpower Palafin as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath fires out a large stream of water that hits Palafin doing damage to the mon and making his Wave Crash disappear. Poliwrath then gets its left fist ready as Leaf speaks.
"Now Poliwrath use Dynamic Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath's left fist glows and punches Palafin hard in the stomach. Palafin coughs in pain as he is sent flying and crashes into the water a few feet away Misty speaks.
"Palafin!" Misty calls in worry as a couple seconds later Palafin floats back up to the surface and is knocked out. Lorelai then makes the call.
"Palafin's unable to battle Poliwrath's the winner!" Lorelai calls making Leaf along with Poliwrath cheer. Misty returns Palafin back to his Pokeball tells the mon thank you and puts the ball away. When she does that Leaf speaks.
"Well Misty this is it we both have one Pokémon left" Leaf says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, that's right and my last Pokémon will help me win this battle!" Misty states while holding her final Pokeball forward while Leaf smiles. Misty then closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. Once she does that, she gets a serious look on her face then goes to throw the ball.
"Vaporeon, I Choose You!" Misty says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Vaporeon who lands on a landing platform. When the mon appears, she has a serious look on her face and looks at Poliwrath with Poliwrath looking at her as Jake speaks.
"Contestant Misty's final Pokémon is a Vaporeon! Will it be enough to take down contestant Leaf's Poliwrath?!" Jake says as Leaf speaks.
"So, Vaporeon's your final Pokémon I should've known" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon's my very first Pokémon so who better that her to be the one to win this tournament for me" Misty says with Vaporeon agreeing with her as Leaf speaks.
"You make it sound like beating us will be easy, but it won't be as Poliwrath, and I aren't going to lose!" Leaf states with Poliwrath agreeing with her as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, I know it's not going to be easy, but I trust that Vaporeon will win this battle!" Misty states with Vaporeon nodding as Leaf smiles and speaks.
"Well then bring it on!" Leaf says as Poliwrath gets into a battle stance with Vaporeon doing the same. Lorelai then speaks.
"This is the final battle both trainers have one Pokémon left whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" Lorelai says with both girls nodding as Lorelai continues to speak.
"Now let the final battle begin!" Lorelai says and when she does Misty along with Leaf and their Pokémon stare at each other in silence. They continue to do that until a water bubble appears on the surface of the water and pops causing Misty and Leaf to speak.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Both girls call as Poliwrath along with Vaporeon fire out large streams of water at each other which collide and create an explosion. When that happens, Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon use Aqua Jet then Aqua Tail!" Misty calls Vaporeon, covers her body in water shoots forward and hits Poliwrath with Aqua Jet. Vaporeon then covers her tail in water, spins around and slaps Poliwrath hard across the face causing damage to the mon as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Ice Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath covers its right fist in ice and punches Vaporeon in the face knocking the mon on the land platform. Poliwrath stands over Vaporeon and has its fists ready as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Bulk Up and Close Combat!" Leaf calls Poliwrath bulks up its body increasing its physical attack and defense. Poliwrath then goes to hit Vaporeon as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon use Alluring Voice!" Misty calls. Vaporeon quickly lets out an angelic voice of fairy energy that connects with Poliwrath stopping the mon in its tracks. Poliwrath groans in pain from the super effective attack as Leaf speaks.
"Back away Poliwrath!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly jumps back and lands a few feet away, getting away from the attack. A few seconds later Poliwrath then gets confused which surprises Leaf as back in the stands Ash speaks.
"Wait why did Poliwrath become confused?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Alluring Voice is a move where if the opposing Pokémon has increased their stats before getting hit then they become confused" Nemona responds with Ash nodding as Tracey speaks.
"Misty knew that Leaf would have Poliwrath use Bulk Up and when she did Misty had Vaporeon use Alluring Voice which would not only cause damage to Poliwrath but also confuse him." Tracey says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Misty speaks.
"Looks like that worked. Okay Vaporeon use Calm Mind then use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Vaporeon, nods and begins to calm her mind. When she does that, she can feel her special attack/defense increase, Vaporeon then takes a deep breath and fires out a large Hydro Pump that heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath dodge!" Leaf calls but Poliwrath can't because it's confused which then allows for the Hydro Pump to consume Poliwrath. Poliwrath is sent flying a few feet away then lands on a land platform as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath are you okay?!" Leaf asks as while Poliwrath's laying on its stomach groaning in pain Misty speaks.
"Okay Vaporeon use Hydro Pump again!" Misty calls Vaporeon fires out another big Hydro Pump that heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath dodge!" Leaf calls and Poliwrath manages to dodge the attack by moving to the left. Poliwrath has broken out of its confused state which makes Leaf happy as she speaks.
"Good job Poliwrath! Now use Rain Dance!" Leaf calls Poliwrath roars to the sky making it dark as rain then begins to fall Misty speaks.
"Bad move Leaf you just helped increased Vaporeon's water type attacks!" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"True but the rain also helps Poliwrath too. Poliwrath use Hydro Pump!" Leaf responds as Poliwrath fires out a large Hydro Pump that's powered up by the rain and heads for Vaporeon Misty speaks.
"Counter with your Hydro Pump Vaporeon!" Misty calls Vaporeon fires out a large Hydro Pump as well which collides with Poliwrath's and easily blows past it. Vaporeon's Hydro Pump heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath dodge then head for Vaporeon and use Bulk Up!" Leaf calls Poliwrath manages to easily dodge the Hydro Pump then jumps forward and lands on the land platform that Vaporeon's on. Poliwrath then increases its physical attack/defense again as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon use Alluring Voice!" Misty calls Vaporeon fires out an angelic voice of fairy energy that heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"We're not falling for that again! Poliwrath dodge then use Ice Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath easily dodges the attack shoots forward and reaches Vaporeon instantly. Poliwrath covers its left fist in ice and upper cuts Vaporeon sending the mon high into the air as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath go after Vaporeon and use Close Combat!" "Vaporeon counter with Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Before Vaporeon can use Hydro Pump Poliwrath jumps high in the air and reaches Vaporeon. Poliwrath then begins punching/kicking Vaporeon repeatedly with each hit hurting more than the last. Poliwrath then punches Vaporeon hard in the face and sends the mon crashing down hard on a land platform creating an explosion as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon!" Misty calls in worry as when the dust clears Vaporeon's laying on her stomach groaning in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Bulk Up then Dynamic Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath bulks up its body again and shoots downward heading for Vaporeon. Poliwrath's left fist glows and goes to punch Vaporeon as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon quick dive into the water!" Misty calls Vaporeon, quickly jumps away and safely dives into the water as Poliwrath punches the land platform and destroys it which surprises the crowd. In the water Vaporeon looks at Poliwrath and takes a deep breath as Misty speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Vaporeon, fires out a large stream of water from her mouth that hits Poliwrath and sends the mon flying high into the air as Misty speaks.
"Now Vaporeon use Aqua Jet!" Misty calls Vaporeon, covers her body in water and shoots out of the water heading for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath dodge then use Dynamic Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath manages to easily dodge Vaporeon's attack it then clinches its left fist and punches Vaporeon hard in the stomach making the mon cough in pain as she's sent crashing down on another land platform Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath go after Vaporeon and use Brick Break!" "Vaporeon dodge use Calm Mind then Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Poliwrath shoots downward and heads for Vaporeon. Poliwrath's right hand glows white and is getting closer to Vaporeon. Vaporeon sees Poliwrath coming then quickly jumps back as Poliwrath chops the land platform creating a large crack. Vaporeon lands a few feet away and calms her mind. Vaporeon increases her special attack/defense then takes a deep breath and fires out a giant Hydro Pump that heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Bulk Up then Close Combat!" Leaf calls Poliwrath bulks up its body increasing its attack/defense again. Poliwrath gets its fists ready and connects with the Hydro Pump. When that happens Poliwrath begins punching the move trying to destroy it as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah! That's it Poliwrath! Keep Going!" Leaf cheers with Poliwrath nodding as it continues to punch the move Misty speaks.
"More power Vaporeon!" Misty calls as Vaporeon roars increasing the power of her Hydro Pump which begins to push Poliwrath back a little bit Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath don't give up!" Leaf says as Poliwrath roars and begins punching the Hydro Pump faster and faster. Poliwrath continues punching the attack until it completely destroys the move. The crowd along with those watching the battle on TV have surprised looks on their faces while Leaf has a smile on her face as Misty speaks.
"Now Vaporeon use Aurora Beam!" Misty calls Vaporeon fires out a rainbow-colored beam that hits Poliwrath in the face creating an explosion as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath!" Leaf calls in worry as when the smoke clears Poliwrath's still standing but can feel that its attack power has decreased as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon let's keep up the pressure use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Vaporeon fires out a large stream of water at Vaporeon as Leaf speaks.
"Dodge Poliwrath then use your Hydro Pump!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly jumps to the right and dodges Vaporeon's attack. Poliwrath then fires out its own Hydro Pump that consumes Vaporeon and sends the mon flying as she lands on a nearby land platform. Vaporeon groans in pain as Leaf speaks.
"Nice looks like that did some damage" Leaf says happily as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon its time to heal! Use Aqua Ring!" Misty calls Vaporeon roars as she incases her body in a water veil and heals some of her damage. Vaporeon feels a little refreshed and has a smile on her face as back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"Now that Vaporeon has used Aqua Ring whatever damage she receives will heal over time" Tracey says as Violet speaks.
"Go! Misty and Vaporeon!" Violet along with Daisy, Lily, Lana and Togepi cheer loud for Misty while everyone else continues to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Leaf begins to think.
"Now that she's use Aqua Ring it's going to be a lot harder for Poliwrath to defeat Vaporeon which is why we need to end this fast." Leaf says to herself as she looks at Poliwrath and speaks.
"Let's do this Poliwrath! Use Bulk Up Then Ice Punch!" Leaf calls Poliwrath roars as it bulks up its body and increases its attack/defense again. Poliwrath then jumps forward heading for Vaporeon as Misty speaks.
"Use Alluring Voice!" Misty calls Vaporeon lets out an angelic voice that heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"Blow it away with Waterfall!" Leaf calls Poliwrath covers its body in water and easily goes through the attack. Poliwrath's about to hit Vaporeon as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon jump in the air to dodge then use Aqua Tail!" Misty calls Vaporeon quickly jumps in the air and dodges Poliwrath's attack as the mon hits the land platform instead. Vaporeon then covers her tail in water shoots downward and slams it down hard on Poliwrath's head who was in the process of standing back up. Vaporeon knocks Poliwrath face first onto the land platform as Leaf speaks.
"Now use Liquidation!" Leaf calls Poliwrath quickly stands back up its left fist turns into a water blade and slashes Vaporeon causing more damage to her. Vaporeon groans in pain then looks at Poliwrath and takes a deep breath as Misty speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Vaporeon fires out a point-blank Hydro Pump that consumes Poliwrath causing damage to the mon and causes it to fall into the water as Leaf speaks.
"Poliwrath use Waterfall!" Leaf calls Poliwrath appears out of the water covers its body in water and shoots forward heading for Vaporeon as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon back away then use Copycat!" Misty calls Vaporeon quickly jumps back as Poliwrath crashes back on the land platform. Vaporeon lands a few feet away and copies Poliwrath's attack. Once Vaporeon does she then covers her body in water shoots forward and hits Poliwrath hard in the stomach making the mon slide a few feet away and groan a little in pain as Misty speaks.
"Vaporeon it's time to end this! USE LAST RESORT!" Misty calls. The Aqua Ring heals some of Vaporeon's damage as the mon then lets out a loud roar and summons a giant star. Everyone's surprised by how big the star is as Misty speaks.
"LAUNCH IT VAPOREON!" "VA!" Misty along with Vaporeon yell as Vaporeon fires the large star at Poliwrath Leaf speaks.
"POLIWRATH USE BULK UP AND PUNCH IT BACK WITH DYNAMIC PUNCH!" Leaf calls as Poliwrath roars and bulks up its body again increasing its attack/defense power to the max. Both of Poliwrath's fists glow as the mon punches the star and creates a big shockwave. When that happens Poliwrath begins trying its best to punch the star back as Misty speaks.
"MORE POWER VAPOREON!" Misty calls as Vaporeon roars increasing the power of the Last Resort making it bigger and slowly pushing Poliwrath back as Leaf speaks.
"COME ON POLIWRATH DON'T LET THIS BEAT YOU I BELIEVE IN YOU!" Leaf yells giving more encouragement to Poliwrath. Poliwrath hears its trainers cry and roars increasing the power of its fists more and more which begins causing the star to crack as Leaf speaks.
"THAT'S IT POLIWRATH YOU'RE ALMOST THERE!" Leaf yells as Poliwrath lets out a loud "POLI! WRATH!" causing the star to crack more and more until Poliwrath eventually destroys it. The crowd all have surprised looks on their faces while Leaf has a smile on her face as Misty speaks.
"Should you really be celebrating Leaf?" Misty asks making Leaf look at her as she sees Vaporeon using another Calm Mind again and is now taking a deep breath as Leaf speaks.
"Wait Last Resort wasn't Vaporeon's final attack?!" Leaf asks as Misty speaks.
"Nope it's not. Now! Vaporeon use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Vaporeon lets out a loud "VAAA!" and fires out a giant Hydro Pump that's not only boosted by the rain but also the Calm Mind as well. The Hydro Pump heads for Poliwrath as Leaf speaks.
"POLIWRATH DODGE!" "IT'S TOO LATE DO IT VAPOREON!" Both trainers' yell as unfortunately for Leaf Poliwrath can't dodge as it's panting heavily because destroying that Last Resort took all of its strength. Poliwrath sees the giant Hydro Pump coming and then gets consumed by it. Inside the Hydro Pump Poliwrath cries out in pain and is sent flying. The Hydro Pump goes past Leaf and crashes into the wall behind her creating a big explosion that shakes the entire stadium as Leaf looks back and speaks.
"POLIWRATH!" Leaf calls out in concern as she along with everyone else look over at where Poliwrath crashed, see a big cloud of smoke, and see the Hydro Pump disappear. Once the Hydro Pump's gone the Rain Dance goes away bringing back the bright sky as then the big cloud of smoke disappears too. Everyone looks over trying to see Poliwrath's condition Misty's Vaporeon's panting heavily and looks forward too. Lorelai looks at Poliwrath she sees that the mon is laying on its stomach and showcases no signs of continuing. Lorelai has a smile on her face then makes the call.
"Poliwrath's unable to battle Vaporeon's the winner! Seeing as contestant Leaf has no more Pokémon left contestant Misty is the winner of not only the battle but also the winner of the Mandarin Island Tournament as well!" Lorelai says as Jake speaks.
"There you have it everyone this year's winners of the Mandarin Island Tournament are contestant Misty and her Vaporeon!" Jake says causing the crowd to let out a loud roar in excitement. Meanwhile those watching on TV being of Brock, Giselle, Joe, AJ, Ritchie, Korrina, Bea, and the previous 3 Orange Island gym leaders cheer as well. Back in Pallet Town Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, and Ash's Pokémon cheer loudly for Misty. Leaf's Pokémon are sad that she lost but are okay with it as they know that their trainer and teammates fought hard. Meanwhile, in the Kanto League with Blue, Rose, Bruno, Agatha, and Goodshow they are all impressed by Misty's skill as a trainer. Rose is sad that Leaf lost but has a smile on her face as she knows that her daughter did her best. Somewhere in the Johto region we see Gary watching the battle on the TV in a Pokémon Center. He's sad that Leaf lost but knew that she tried her best he then smiles and walks out of the center heading for his next destination. Back in the stadium the crowd continues to cheer loudly for Misty and Vaporeon while Misty looks around, she's panting heavily then looks at Vaporeon and speaks.
"Vaporeon did we win?" Misty asks as Vaporeon looks at her trainer and smiles. Misty smiles too and speaks.
"WE! WON!" Misty lets out a cheer as she along with Vaporeon jump into the air. Meanwhile, in the stands we see the group cheering too as Lana speaks.
"She did it!" "Prr!" "Pika!" Lana along with Lillie, Barry, Togepi, and Pikachu say as Violet, Daisy, and Lily speak.
"THAT'S OUR SISTER!" The 3 girls say while having happy tears fall down their faces. Meanwhile everyone else have smiles on their faces as Kiawe speaks.
"It was a hard fought battle but Misty won in the end" Kiawe says as Nemona speaks.
"Yeah, and it was amazing! I need to ask them to battle me at some point" Nemona says while having an excited look on her face as Tracey speaks.
"It's too bad that Leaf lost though" Tracey says as Ash speaks.
"True but I feel as though Leaf is satisfied" Ash says with Tracey nodding as they begin to cheer too while Kukui and Burnet have smiles on their faces. Back on the battlefield Leaf's sad that she lost but then shrugs her shoulders smiles and speaks.
"Oh well" Leaf says to herself as she then returns Poliwrath back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Once Leaf puts the ball away she looks over at where Misty and Vaporeon are and sees the 2 of them celebrating. Misty wraps Vaporeon in a big hug and speaks.
"Amazing Vaporeon I knew you could do it!" Misty says happily while Vaporeon smiles as Misty then hears a voice.
"Misty!" The voice says as Misty along with Vaporeon look and see Leaf running over to them. When Leaf gets close enough, she looks at them and speaks.
"That was an amazing battle Misty my Pokémon, and I gave it everything we had but in the end we lost. But I'm not mad about losing to you as I feel satisfied" Leaf says while having a smile on her face making Misty along with Vaporeon smile too as Misty then puts Vaporeon down looks at Leaf and speaks.
"My Pokémon and I had a lot of fun in this battle too Leaf" Misty says with Vaporeon nodding making Leaf smile as she then looks at Misty and speaks.
"But Misty the next time we battle my Pokémon, and I won't be the ones who lose" Leaf says while having a determined look on her face. Misty along with Vaporeon look at Leaf then get determined looks on their faces too as Misty speaks.
"That goes for my Pokémon and me as well" Misty says with Vaporeon nodding. The 2 girls look at each other smile, then shake each other's hands as Jake speaks.
"Let's all give another big round of applause for contestants Misty and Leaf!" Jake says as the crowd claps for them some more making the 2 girls along with Vaporeon look at them and wave. After that Misty returns Vaporeon back to her Pokeball as she along with Leaf then begin walking back to the trainer hall. While they are walking back in the stands Ash speaks.
"Let's go see them" Ash says with the group nodding as they begin heading to the trainer hall. A few minutes later Misty along with Leaf have made it back to the trainer hall. When they do they reunite with everyone again and tell them that their battle with each other was amazing, which makes both girls smile. Violet along with Daisy and Lily wrap Misty in a big hug and have happy tears coming down their faces. Misty tries to get out of the hug, but her sisters won't let go which causes the others to laugh. 1 minute later Violet, Daisy, and Lily do let go of Misty as Ash walks over and hands Togepi back to Misty. Ash then tells Misty that she looked amazing battling today which makes Misty happy. Nemona then asks Misty and Leaf for a battle but both girls decline making Nemona sad. 20 minutes later it's now time for the awarding ceremony. We see the crowd along with the trainers who competed in the tournament looking up at a stage that has Jake, Lorelai, Rika, Larry, and Hassel on it. Jake hands Lorelai the Microphone as she begins to speak.
"I just want to say thank you to the trainers that competed in this year's tournament you all showcased just how beautiful and strong water type Pokémon are and I hope you all continue to grow stronger" Lorelai says which causes the trainers to smile, Lorelai then hands the mic over to Jake who begins to speak.
"Now then I believe it's time for this year's Mandarin Island Tournament winner along with her Pokémon to make their appearance!" Jake says as out of a hallway appears Misty along with Vaporeon, Inteleon, Quaquaval, Kingdra, Carracosta, and Palafin who's in his hero form (For those wondering Tracey currently has Togepi with him). As they're walking to the stage the crowd lets out a loud cheer for them causing Misty along with her Pokémon to wave at them. A couple seconds later Misty along with her Pokémon have made it to the stage, when they do Misty shakes Rika's, Larry's, and Hassel's hands who tell Misty good job which makes Misty happy. After that Lorelai appears and is holding a blue crystal trophy. Misty looks at Lorelai and is in awe by her beauty as the woman looks at Misty and speaks.
"Congratulations again on winning the tournament you along with your Pokémon were amazing and I look forward to seeing just how much stronger you along with your Pokémon get in the future." Lorelai says with Misty and her Pokémon nodding. After that Lorelai hands Misty, the trophy the girl then looks at the crowd as Jake speaks.
"Now, let's all give another big round of applause for this year's Mandarin Island winner Misty and her Pokémon!" Jake says as Misty holds the trophy high in the air causing the crowd along with the trainers to cheer/clap for them. Misty along with her Pokémon look around and have big smiles on their faces. After that a few hours passed during this time Misty along with her Pokémon got their picture taken with Lorelai, once Misty made it back to the group, they tell her congratulations again which makes Misty happy. Then once that's over they head over to the festival and begin having fun there. They play many games, go on multiple rides, and eat a lot of great food. Then once that was all over everyone goes their separate ways to go to bed. It's now the next day and it's currently 9am in the morning as we see the group on the docks seeing Kiawe, Lana, Lillie, Burnet, Misty's sisters, Barry, Nemona, Rika, Larry, and Hassel off. Lana goes over to Misty and speaks.
"It was great seeing you again Misty and though I'm disappointed that I didn't get to battle you the next time we meet I'll be a lot stronger" Lana says as Misty speaks.
"Me too" Misty says as she along with Lana then hug each other. We now go over to Kiawe and Ash. Kiawe looks at Ash and speaks.
"It was nice to see you along with Misty, and Leaf again Ash" Kiawe says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I agree and whenever we see Brock again, we'll let him know that you along with everyone else say hi" Ash says with Kiawe nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"But Kiawe make sure not to slack on your training because the next time we meet my Pokémon, and I will defeat you along with your Z Move" Ash says while having a determined look on his face with Pikachu sparking his cheeks. Kiawe looks at them smiles and speaks.
"You got it" Kiawe says making Ash happy as they then shake hands. Once they do Kukui comes over and speaks.
"Hey Ash whenever you see your father again tell him I say hi" Kukui says with Ash nodding saying that he will which makes Kukui smile. After that Kiawe, Lana, Lillie, Kukui, and Burnet then get on a boat that'll take them back to the Alola region. The group wave them goodbye until they can't see them anymore. Once that's done, we come over to Misty and her sisters. Misty hands the Trophy over to Violet as she speaks.
"Please make sure that this gets back home safely" Misty says with Violet nodding as Lily speaks.
"Hey how come your not letting us hold the trophy?" Lily asks with Daisy thinking the same thing as Misty looks at them and speaks.
"Well because I trust Violet a lot more than you two" Misty responds which makes Lily along with Daisy annoyed as Violet looks at Misty and speaks.
"Misty I already said this to you before but I'm really proud to see just much you've grown on your journey and I'm sure Mom and Dad are looking down and are happy too." Violet says with Daisy and Lily agreeing with her which makes Misty smile as Lily then smirks and speaks.
"And now that you've won this tournament there's something else that you need to gain next" Lily says while pointing over at Ash. Ash looks at them and has a confused look on his face making Misty blush as she looks at Lily and speaks.
"Will you stop!" Misty says causing Lily along with Daisy to chuckle while Violet sighs and gently chops both of their heads causing them to stop. After that Misty looks at her sisters smiles and speaks.
"You 3 always tend to annoy me but I'm happy that I got to see you all again" Misty says which makes her sisters smile as they all then hug each other. After that Violet, Lily, and Daisy then get on a boat that's going to take them to Vermillion City and then they'll make their way back to the Cerulean Gym. The group wave them goodbye until they can't see them anymore. Once they're gone Nemona appears and speaks.
"Ash!" Nemona says making Ash look at her as she speaks.
"Ash I just want to say the battle we had in this tournament was amazing, but I know that our battle in the Orange League will be even more amazing." Nemona says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, and once, I get my final gym badge my Pokémon and I are going to train like crazy and win the Orange League" Ash says which makes Nemona excited as Barry speaks.
"If anyone's going to win the Orange League it's going to be me!" Barry says causing Ash and Nemona to look at him as the 3 trainers smile at each other. After that Barry speaks.
"Well see you guys later now that I have all 4 badges my Pokémon and I are going to be training and when we meet up at the Orange League we'll be an unstoppable force" Barry says while having a excited look on his face as he then gets on a sail boat and begins heading somewhere. The group watch him leave as they then hear a voice.
"Nemona it's almost time to go!" The voice says as the group see Rika, Larry, and Hassel waiting next to a boat as Nemona speaks.
"I'll be there soon!" Nemona says with the 3 adults nodding as Nemona then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Ash before I go, I just want to say that after you get your final badge make sure you train a lot because the next time, we meet our battle isn't going to end in a tie" Nemona says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"You don't have to worry about that because when we meet and battle each other again in the Orange League my Pokémon and I are going to give you a battle you won't forget and then win!" Ash states with Pikachu agreeing with him which makes Nemona smile as she speaks.
"I look forward to that" Nemona says with Ash nodding as she then goes to leave. But before she leaves, she looks at Ash again and speaks.
"Oh, and Ash one more thing when you face the final gym leader make sure you have triple battling down." Nemona says making Ash confused as he speaks.
"What do you mean by that?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"You'll see" Nemona responds as she then meets up with Rika, Larry, and Hassel. When she does, they all then get on the boat and begin heading for their destination. The group wave them goodbye until they can't see them anymore as they then hear a voice.
"Seems like all of your friends have left" The voice says causing the group to turn around as they see Lorelai the group have surprised looks on their faces as they speak.
"It's Lorelai!" The 4 kids say in surprise as Lorelai smiles Tracey speaks.
"What're you doing here?" Tracey asks as Ash speaks.
"Are you here for a battle? Because if you are then I'll take you on" Ash says while having an excited look on his face as Leaf looks at him and speaks.
"I'm pretty sure it's not that" Leaf says as Lorelai speaks.
"The reason I'm here is to talk to Misty" Lorelai says while looking at the girl as Misty speaks.
"You want to talk to me?" Misty asks with Lorelai nodding as she continues to speak.
"Yes, as I wanted to know if you've heard about the Whirl Cup" Lorelai says making the group confused as Leaf speaks.
"What's the Whirl Cup?" Leaf asks as Tracey speaks.
"I think I've heard of it before isn't it also another Water Pokémon based tournament?" Tracey asks with Lorelai nodding as Lorelai speaks.
"Yes, that's correct it's a tournament that takes place once a year in the Johto regions Whirl Islands where the best water type trainers compete." Lorelai says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"So, did you come to ask me if I was going to take part in that tournament?" Misty asks as Lorelai speaks.
"Yes, I was during this tournament I was watching your battles closely and was impressed by not only your skill but also your bond with your water Pokémon and I believe that if you want to be the greatest water type trainer then competing and winning the Whirl Cup should be your next step." Lorelai responds with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"So, you're saying that if I compete and win the Whirl Cup, I'll be much closer to my goal?" Misty asks with Lorelai nodding. Misty then gets a smile on her face and speaks.
"Okay I'll do it. I'll win the Whirl Cup and continue training until I become a Water Pokémon Master" Misty says while having an excited look on her face as Ash speaks.
"You know what that sounds like fun I want to compete too" Ash says while having an excited look on his face Lorelai smiles and speaks.
"That's good to hear I look forward to seeing how much improvement you make from here until the Whirl Cup. Now then I bid you all farewell" Lorelai says as she then leaves. The group look at her walk away until they can't see her anymore. Once she's gone Leaf looks at Misty and speaks.
"Looks like you have another goal to work toward Misty" Leaf says with Misty nodding as Tracey speaks.
"Well then I believe it's time for us to take our leave" Tracey says with the group nodding as Ash pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"You're right Tracey. Now! Lapras, I Choose You!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Lapras who lands on the water. Once Lapras appears she has a smile on her face and allows the group to get on her back. Once they do Lapras begins to swim forward. As Lapras's swimming away from the island we come back over to Lorelai who's made it back to the building where the tournament took place. When she's about to enter it, she then looks over to her right and sees a boy along with a Lucario next to him setting up a tent. Lorelai walks over to them and speaks.
"Um may I ask what you're doing?" Lorelai asks causing them both to look at her when they do they get surprised looks on their faces as the boy speaks.
"It's Lorelai! You're Lorelai of the Kanto Elite 4!" The boy says while having a surprised look on his face as Lorelai speaks.
"Yes, I am and who are you?" Lorelai asks as the boy speaks.
"Oh, sorry I forgot to introduce myself my name's Cameron and this is Lucario" Cameron says as he along with Lucario say hi with Lorelai nodding as she speaks.
"Now will you answer my previous question on what you're doing?" Lorelai says as Cameron speaks.
"Oh, we're currently setting up a tent so that we're first in line to sign up for the Mandarin Island Tournament" Cameron responds with Lucario nodding. Lorelai has a confused look on her face as she speaks.
"Um I'm sorry to tell you this but the Mandarin Island Tournament is over as it concluded yesterday" Lorelai says surprising Cameron and Lucario as Cameron speaks.
"But there's still a festival that's taking place" Cameron says as Lorelai speaks.
"Well, you see yesterday a battle in the Top 4 turned into a tie so it made the other Top 4 match into the final battle for the tournament" Lorelai responds surprising Cameron and Lucario more as Cameron speaks.
"So, does this mean that the tournament is done completely?" Cameron asks with Lorelai nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, and the next one will be held here next year and if you're going to compete during that time make sure you're not late. Well, I'll be taking my leave now" Lorelai says as she then enters the building leaving Cameron along with Lucario behind they still have surprised looks on their faces as Cameron speaks.
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING MEEEEE!" Cameron yells to the sky with Lucario yelling too as we then come back to the group who're still riding on Lapras's back. Pikachu's ears twitch a little bit causing the yellow mouse to look back as he heard something Ash looks at Pikachu and speaks.
"Is something wrong Pikachu?" Ash asks as Pikachu says no with Ash nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Misty congratulations again on winning the tournament" Leaf says with Misty nodding as she looks at Ash and speaks.
"And now that the tournament's done it's now Ash's turn" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, that's right as you need one more badge in order to enter the Orange League" Leaf says with Ash nodding as he looks at Tracey and speaks.
"Hey Tracey, do you know where the final gym is located?" Ash asks as Tracey speaks.
"Let me take a look through the guidebook" Tracey says as he pulls out the book and begins flipping through the pages. He keeps doing that until he finds the page and speaks.
"According to the guidebook if we keep going this way, in a few days we should be able to reach Kumquat Island which is home to the Kumquat gym and on the way there's also a few islands that we can stop to either restock or train." Tracey says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"So, Kumquat Island is where my final gym badge is at" Ash says as he smiles and speaks.
"Man, I can't wait for it what about you Pikachu?" Ash asks with Pikachu sparking his cheeks in agreement making Ash along with everyone else smile. After that Everyone then looks forward at the horizon having excited looks on their faces as the chapter comes to an end.

Back when I was coming up with ideas for this arc, I remembered from another what if that they had a tournament in the Orange Island's too and I decided to do my own as I needed to give Misty something to do/work towards in this arc. As you can see, I wanted this portion to be Misty focus where it had a lot of her Pokémon evolve, her going up against her sisters and also remember back in the SS. Anne where I said that Misty and Leaf were going to battle again? Well, it happened, and Misty came out the victor. This arc also gives another goal for Misty to work towards and that's the Whirl Cup in the Johto region.
Next chapter will come out next week it'll be my take on the "The Stun Spore Detour" episode from the anime and a certain Pokémon Hunter makes their reappearance. I'm pretty sure you guys can guess who that is.
