Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 60
With Might Guy vs Might Duy
"DYNAMIC ENTRY" Guy roared as he launched a flying kick aimed towards his Edo Tensei father; Duy seeing this raised up both of his arms and blocked the attack. Duy was pushed back across the ground from the force of the kick but was still standing up straight; his feet were so firmly planted into the ground that his feet dug into the concrete making small trenches.
Guy landed on his feet and rushed towards Duy who was in his taijutsu stance; Duy threw a fast round house kick which Guy proceeded to block with his forearm. The weight and momentum behind the kick making his bones rattle; Guy grabbed onto his father leg and swung him over his shoulder to slam him into the ground.
Before Duy hit the concrete floor he put his hands in front of himself to stop his momentum; Duy without even looking sent a kick with his free leg towards Guy hitting him in the stomach and making him lose his grip on his leg.
This break in his concentration gave Duy an opportunity to spin around and deliver another kick towards Guy this time aimed at his head; Guy had no chance to dodge as he was kick under the chin making him spit up blood and shoot up into the air.
Duy wasted no time and jumped into the air above Guy, spinning around at a fast speed "Pin wheel heel strike" Duy shouted as she stuck out his leg and drove his heel into Guy's stomach.
Guy coughed out even more blood as he was sent flying towards the ground; Guy smacked onto the ground and bounced a few feet into the air before doing a flip and landing on his feet just as his father did.
Guy cursed and reached into his jonin jacket and produced a pair of nunchucks and began to spin them around.
"Nunchucks eh?" Duy said with a smile "good, good, maybe that will assist you a little".
"Here's hoping dad" Guy said before he rushed his father in a burst of speed; Duy barely registered Guy was in front of him until the nunchucks was inches away from his face. Duy ducked back just enough to where the nunchucks took off his nice in a spray of dust; if he was alive he would most certainly be on the ground holding the area where his nose was.
Guy continued swinging his nunchucks at Duy and Duy was doing everything in his power to avoid the strikes from his son's weapons; Guy swung his nunchuck once more towards his father but before it could make contact he pressed a button and the nunchucks took off disconnected and flew at Duy.
Duy saw this and attempted to move his head but got hit by the nunchuck in the cheek causing it to crack and crumble; Guy quickly followed up by sending a kick towards Duy hitting him in the ribs as sending him flying into a wall.
Guy now having a moment to himself connected his single nunchuck to his other one by the chain so now he had 3 set nunchucks; and as soon as he did this Duy got back up and reformed.
"Nice job son; you nearly had me there" Duy said before standing straight and crossing his arms in front of himself "but you still need to push it a little more my boy". "Sixth gate… gate of closing… open" Duy said as another burst of chakra erupted around him; before Guy could even blink Duy dashed towards himself and went low and performed a rising kick hitting Guy under the chin and sending him flying into the air.
Duy appeared in front of Guy and punched him sending him flying in the opposite direction before appearing in front of him again and repeating the attack; Duy kicked Guy sending him towards the high ceiling before appearing above him and attacking the bandages wrapped around his arms and tying it around Guy's waist.
With a mighty heave Duy pulled Guy towards him and extended both his right arm and leg at the same time "Hidden Lotus" Duy roared as both hits struck Guy and sent him plummeting towards the ground.
With Lee and Hinata
Both Lee and Hinata were fighting Orochimaru's experiments as they swarmed them; so far they were keeping up with them despite their numbers. Lee looked over his shoulder and saw Hinata using her twin lion fists hit an experiment in the chest and face sending it flying into another one.
"Nice one Hinata" Lee said giving her praise before looking at the opponents charging towards him. "Hyaaaah" Lee roared as he punched one of Orochimaru's abominations away before spinning around and kicking another "you have no chance against us; our taijutsu is-".
"LEE LOOK OUT" Hinata shouted as she jumped and tackled Lee out of the way the both of them landing on the ground; right where Lee was standing Guy smashed into the ground causing a shockwave blowing everything away in a cloud of dust.
"Ug…ugghhhh" Guy groaned in the crater as she slowly got back up "I'm going to be feeling that tomorrow"; Guy looked to his side and saw Hinata lying on top of Lee as they both looked at Guy who was bleeding heavily from multiple cuts and his jumpsuit torn. Guy smiled and spoke "this is not the time for romance you two love birds" Guy said and Hinata blushed and jumped off Lee and Lee got to his feet with a light blush and rubbing the back of his head.
"Sorry Guy sensei; are you ok?" Lee asked and Guy shook his head.
"No, but with the power of youth I'll-" Guy began until Duy flew through the air and kick Guy and both men flew to the other side of the room.
Lee looked at this wide eyed "I should help Guy sensei" Lee shouted before dodging a punch from an experiment that shuck up behind him 'maybe not'. Lee sent a kick to the experiment and hit it in the side of the head sending to the ground.
As he landed one of the experiments aimed it's hands at Lee and proceeded to fire the bones from it's fingers towards him; Lee on instinct dodged the bone bullets and as he did to Hinata rushed towards the creature.
"Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm" Hinata said as she launched a concentrated air wave towards it; the creature was hit dead on and sent flying away. However her relief was short lived as a bone spike shot out of the ground in front of her; Hinata leaned back as the spike missed her but a creature appeared out of it and slashed at Hinata with it's claws.
The creatures claws slashed Hinata across the chest cutting through her jacket, her shirt and her jumpsuit that Lee gave her; there were now 4 long claw marks across her chest and a trail of blood that began to leak out from her wounds.
"Hinata" Lee shouted in alarm as she rushed over and jumped into the air "LEAF HURRICANE"; Lee sent a spinning lying kick to the creature that slashed Hinata, hitting it in the face and sending it into an another experiment. Another creature came up behind Lee and slashed him across his back cutting through his chunin vest and drawing blood; Lee grit his teeth and spun around sending a back fist into the creatures head knocking it's head to the side and killing it in a single blow. Lee now having a free moment looked at Hinata "Hinata are you ok?" Lee asked concerned.
Hinata was on the ground holding her chest and looked at her wounds "Y-yes, I'm fine; just a flash wound" she said as she got to her feet 'and thankfully not showing anything…private'. As soon as she was on her feet the experiments surrounded her and Lee again and the both of them got into their respective taijutsu stances.
"Alright Hinata, just a few dozen more" Lee said as he stared at the creatures as more bones began to grow out of their bodies "on second thought, maybe I should take this up a notch". Lee took a few steps forward and crossed his arms "first gate… gate of opening… open" Lee said as chakra began to surge through his body "second gate… gate of healing… open". Lee's muscles began to bulge, his veins began to pop and his wounds began to heal; upon finishing he spoke "lets see if the first two gates can get me through this" he said. "You ready Hinata?" Lee asked and Hinata nodded.
"Lets go" Hinata said with confidence as she and Lee dashed in opposite directions to engage the enemy.
With Anko and Kurenai
Anko was dual wielding kunai as she blocked several strikes from Orochimaru's Kusanagi sword; Orochimaru slashed at Anko's neck and Anko raised her kunai and blocked the blade before it could make contact. Anko countered by sending a kick towards Orochimaru aiming at his stomach.
Orochimaru jumped backwards to gain some distance and at the same time Anko launched several snakes from the inside of her coat sleeves; the snakes opened their mouths as they attempted to bite Orochimaru but he decapitated them with his sword making Anko curse in anger.
Upon landing Orochimaru got ready to attack but before he could a tree shot out of the ground from under his feet and began to entangle him in it's branches. Out of the tree Kurenai emerged with a kunai in her hand and came down on Orochimaru stabbing him in the neck with blood spirting out from the wound.
Kurenai used a genjutsu in order to ensnare Orochimaru temporarily to toake him out but was shocked when he burst into mud 'A mud clone substitution' she thought in a panic. From behind her she heard a noise and spun around to see Orochimaru emerge from the ground swinging his sword at her; Kurenai attempted to dodge the attack but was dealt a glancing strike to her left side of her back.
"Kurenai" Anko shouted as she went through hand signs "Fire Style: Majestic Flames Jutsu"; Anko launched a long stream of Fire towards Orochimaru who went back into the ground using an earth jutsu.
Kurenai landed next to Anko and collapsed holding her back "Damn it… I got careless" Kurenai groaned as she held her wound "I think he nicked my kidney".
"I did much more than that dear Kurenai" Orochimaru said as he rose from the ground and stared at the two women "my sword has a natural poison; which is now coursing through your body". "You better leave now, otherwise this is the end of the road for you" Orochimaru said with a chuckle.
Kurenai glared at Orochimaru and stood up on shaky legs "if I leave then Anko will have to fight you alone; and that's not happening" Kurenai said with defiance in her eyes "I came here ready to die to save my village; I'm not leaving". Kurenai may have said those words but she was already feeling the effects of the poison; she was now sweating and breathing heavily and this was not even taking blood loss into consideration.
"Kurenai, just go" Anko said to her hoping to talk some sense into her "you have so much-".
"I'm a Kunoichi of Konoha, Anko" Kurenai said sternly "and I'll be damned if I run away for my own sake when other continue to fight". Kurenai looked at Anko and smiled grimly "I know what I have to do" she said "and if I have to pay the ultimate price… so be it".
Anko felt a pang in her heard and nodded "well then, lets kick the shit out of this sick bastard quickly then" she said "and then we can get you some help"; Kurenai smiled and nodded at this even though she knew they couldn't do it.
"How heartwarmingly revolting" Orochimaru said and both women looked at him.
"Fuck you snake face" Anko said as she went through hand signs "Earth Style: Mud river"; Anko began spewing mud from her mouth and shooting it towards Orochimaru quickly covering his feet. Kurenai sent chakra to her feet and landed on the mud river and began to run on it using the 'walk on water Jutsu'.
Orochimaru seeing Kurenai coming towards him going through hand signs expected that she was about to use another genjutsu; he was caught off guard when Kurenai leaned back and puffed her chest.
'Water Style: Water Bullets' Kurenai fired a volley of water bullets towards Orochimaru; while genjutsu was Kurenai's specialty she wasn't a slouch when it came to ninjutsu. Orochimaru seeing this went through hand signs himself.
"Earth Style: Mud Wall" Orochimaru said as a wall of mud appeared in front of him and protected him from Kurenai's attack; as soon as he did that Anko shot out from the mud behind him and launched a kick at Orochimaru from behind.
Orochimaru turned around just in time to for him to see Anko's foot as it connected with his face and sent him sliding across the mud; Orochimaru was still gripping his sword and was about to launch himself towards Anko when Kurenai got in front of his path.
Kurenai threw a punch at Orochimaru hitting him in the jaw and knocking his head to the side; seeing him stunned temporarily Kurenai grabbed the arm holding the sword and put Orochimaru in a joint lock before elbowing his wrist making him drop the sword.
The sword fell into the mud and began to sink down until it got fully covered; Kurenai seeing Orochimaru was now disarmed proceeded to launch a kick towards his stomach sending him skidding backwards.
As Orochimaru skidded backwards Anko came up behind him with a kunai and sent a stab towards his back; Anko's kunai hit Orochimaru in the middle of his back and Orochimaru gasped in pain.
Orochimaru's mouth then widened and Orochimaru shot out his body completely healed as he shed his old body; as he landed several yards away and got to his feet he glared at Anko and Kurenai. Not only did they make him shed his body but also they stripped him of his Kusanagi sword.
Anko walked across the mud to Kurenai and made a hand sign; the mud hardened to the same strength of concrete 'no more Kusanagi for you fucker' she thought as she stood next to Kurenai who was breathing heavily. "Kurenai, are you ok?" Anko asked and Kurenai nodded.
"Yeah… I'm fine" Kurenai said wiping her brow; Kurenai looked over to Anko and spoke in a whisper "don't let up now, we need to keep him busy until either Guy or Lee can get here; one of them could really help us out".
Anko nodded and looked at Orochimaru "they better get to us ASAP then; because I don't think we can beat him on our own" she said.
Meanwhile: With Jiraya, Yugito and Bee
"RUN GET BA-" A root ninja shouted to his comrades before his head was sliced into multiple pieces; Yugito using her long, razor sharp claws killed the ninja with a single swipe. Yugito jumped up towards the ceiling above her and ran on all fours across it towards the group of root ninja trying to block her teams advance.
Yugito without making a single hand sign sucked in a deep breath 'Fire Style: Mouse Hairball'; Yugito fired several small blue fireballs in the shape of mice towards the group of root ninja at the end of the hall.
"FALL BACK" one root ninja shouted as he and several others jumped away as the fireballs hit; when the fireballs hit the ground the hair inside explodes and landed on two of the ninja causing them to catch on fire.
The smoke and fire obscured their vision for a few seconds which gave Bee enough time to rush through and get in front of them with all seven of his swords drawn and being held in strange positions.
Bee did not hesitate as he slashed one ninja across the throat with a sword tucked under his armpit before spinning around and shoving the sword tucked under his right knee through the underside of another root ninja's jaw.
The blade stopped before it could pierce through the hard pallet of the mouth so be sent a swift kick to the bottom of the hilt and the sword shot through the ninja's head and hit the ceiling above.
Two remaining root ninja got ready to attack Bee but before they could Jiraya rushed up with a rasengan in his hand "RASENGAN" Jiraya roared as he shoved the jutsu into the stomach of one of the ninja sending him flying into a wall.
Jiraya quickly engaged the other ninja by throwing a series of fast punches hitting him in the face and stomach; the final punch hitting the ninja in the throat collapsing his wind pipe and causing the ninja to fall to the floor to choke to death.
Jiraya, Bee and Yugito did not skip a beat as they continued to rush through the halls of the base in order to find Danzo.
"These root chumps are pretty weak" Bee said as he ran beside Jiraya "they must be greener than spring grass".
"Considering what Naruto and the others did to them not to long ago it's not surprising" Jiraya said and Yugito looked at him.
"This is a lot of death Lord Jiraya" Yugito said and Jiraya nodded "I hope this ends the war today".
Jiraya sighed and looked at her and for once he did not have a lecherous look nor a snarky comeback "so do I" Jiraya said "because Kami help me, if this doesn't work; I'll have to live with these deaths on my shoulders for the rest of my life". "Granted, I'll need to survive first" Jiraya said "enough chit chat, keep moving; we have to find Danzo before he decides to tuck tail and run".
Yugito and Bee nodded and the 3 shinobi continued their search for the 'Hokage'.
Back with Guy vs Duy
"Sixth Gate… Gate of Joy… open" Guy shouted as he activated his sixth gate and a large cloud of dust was kicked up and sent out like a shock wave; the dust hit Duy who smiled at the power.
'Son, you've grown so much' Duy thought with happiness; the dust cleared and Guy jumped high into the air and began his attack. Guy dashed towards Guy and began to throw a flurry of rapid kicks towards him; the kicks sent Duy flying up into the air and Guy got into a crouch.
Guy jumped into the air going after his father and got into a stance that Duy didn't recognize.
"ASAKUJAKU" Guy roared as he began to throw hundreds of punches towards his father in a matter of seconds; the punches were so fast that the air ignited and hundreds of fireballs began to fly towards Duy who went wide eyed.
"Amazing" Duy said before crossing his arms "Sixth gate… Gate of Joy… open"; Duy activated the sixth gate as well and as the fire balls approached he began his defense.
Duy using speed that could rival Guy's began to throw punches and kicks at the fireballs; Duy's punches and kicks destroyed the fireballs at an incredible pace, but this came at a cost. As Duy destroyed the fireballs he was still taking damage as his hands and feet were getting burned and not Abel to reform.
Guy seeing this realized what he had to do and crossed his arms once again "Seventh Gate… Gate of Shock… Open" Guy shouted as he opened his seventh gate; Guy began to excrete blue sweat that immediately began to evaporate as his body temperature was so high causing a strange aura to form around him.
Guy put his right hand in front of his face and using his other hand tapped the back of it creating a massive amount of air pressure; Guy then proceeded to make an unique hand sign.
"HIRUDORA" Guy shouted as the high pressure air he built up launched forward, taking the shape of a tigers head and going towards Duy full speed.
Duy was so busy destroying the fireballs from Guy's previous attack that he did not see the HIRUDORA until it was too late; Duy attempted to activate another gate but he was hit by it and sent flying towards a wall.
As Duy went towards the wall he saw Guy in the air going back towards the ground 'Guy… my pride and joy' Duy thought as he fell to the ground 'you have really grown into a fine shinobi; and I'm so glad I could witness it all with my own eyes'. Upon hitting the wall his edo tensei body began to tear apart and the seal inside him was hit 'good by my son; I hope to not see you soon' he thought.
Guy landed just as his attack blew apart Duy destroying every piece of his body including his seal; Guy was feeling the fatigue of his opening of the gates and was breathing heavily.
'Goodbye father' Guy thought and was about to close his gates when he looked to the side and saw Lee and Hinata still fighting the experiments; "Damn, no time for slacking off". Guy turned and got into a crouch "I'm not done yet; I still have a little fuel left for the fire" he said.
With Lee and Hinata
"-Thirty two palms" Hinata shouted as she hit one of her opponents thirty two times "eight trigrams sixty four palms"; Hinata finished her attack with a fearless leap forward sending the experiment flying through the air and crashing into one of it's allies.
After doing so Hinata saw something coming from behind her; Hinata ducked under a bone spear aimed at the back of her head spun around sending a series of fast strikes hitting the experiment once in the stomach, once in the liver and once in the heart.
Hinata jump and delivered a powerful front kick to the underside of the experiment's jaw sending it flying into the air before landing on the hard concrete; Hinata was breathing heavily as the exhaustion was getting to her.
She was now down to 2 opponents while Lee still had another 20 or so 'I have to keep pushing myself' Hinata thought 'I can't give up now and-'. Before she could finish her thoughts a blur of green appeared in front of her and one of the experiments was sent crashing into a wall.
Guy landed in front of her before rushing to the last of her opponents and throwing only one punch; the punch decapitated the experiment and Guy quickly turned to Hinata.
"Good job Hinata, take a breather; I'll help out Lee" Guy said quickly, giving her a thumbs up and dashing off as quickly as he came.
Hinata was stunned for a second until she realized what happened 'd-does this mean Guy Sensei won?' Hinata thought as she looked around for his father Duy and didn't see him.
While Hinata was taking a short break Lee used his forearm to block a claw strike from one of the experiments and retaliated with a knee stomp; Lee's foot smashed the experiments knee making it screeching before Lee knocked it out with a swift punch to the head.
Lee jumped away from the experiment and spun around sending a spinning reverse kick towards another one hitting it in the jaw, dislocating it and ending the enemy to the ground. As that happened another experiment launched towards him launching both arms towards him; the creatures arms were noting more than bone spikes popping out of it's palms.
Lee having no choice reached out and grabbed both bone spikes with his hands and stopping them before they could stab him; the bones however still cut the palms of his hands causing a stream of blood to begin to leak from the wounds.
Lee strained against the strength of his opponent despite him opening up two of the eight gates; as he tried to push back against his opponent another experiment came in from behind and attempting to slash him across the back with it's claws.
But before the experiment could reach him a blur of green flew through the air revealing Guy kicking the experiment that was behind Lee, killing it instantly. Lee was barely bale to comprehend that Guy was there before in another burst of speed Guy dashed around the area killing or disabling the remaining experiments saving the one Lee was fighting for last.
Guy came up from behind the experiment and delivered a punch to the back that burst through it's chest spraying Lee with blood and gore before the enemy dropped to the ground. Guy stood there breathing heavily before falling to a knee as his open gates began to rapidly shut down.
"Guy sensei" Lee said in alarm as he laid Guy down "don't worry Guy sensei; I'll-"
"N-no Lee" Guy said straining his voice "h-help… Anko and Kurenai… I'll be fine".
"B-but" Lee stammered but Guy looked at him strenly.
"I'll live, just go" Guy ordered, a seconds after that Guy's skin began to go back to normal but as soon as it did so he passed out. Lee could see even through his ripped cloths that Guy had multiple fractures, torn muscles and apparently veins that were internally severed.
Lee begrudgingly got up and looked over to Anko and Kurenai who were still fighting Orochimaru "ok then" Lee said as he crossed his arms in front of himself. "Third Gate… Gate of Life… open" Lee said as his skin began to turn red, his hair stood up, his veins began to bulge and his eyes turned white "Fourth Gate… Gate of Pain… open". Lee opened up his fourth gate and before he took off he saw Hinata running over to talk to him "Hinata, please help Guy sensei; I must help Anko and Kurenai sensei" Lee said and before Hinata could speak he darted off.
Hinata looked at Lee as he ran off 'please be safe' Hinata prayed as she knelt down to Guy; Hinata using her Byakugan saw all the damage done to his body and chakra network and immediately began to exert medical chakra from her hands and run them over Guy starting with his head and his heart. 'Don't worry Lee; I'll make sure Guy sensei is stable enough so we can get him more help' Hinata thought with determination as she healed the broken body Guy on the ground.
With Anko and Kurenai
Anko and Kurenai both rushed Orochimaru at once and began to attack him simultaneously; Anko launched several snaked from her sleeve towards Orochimaru who ducked under the attack and grabbed the snakes.
Orochimaru proceeded to heave the snaked over his head and with the snaked being wrapped around Anko's arm she was dragged along side with them; this ended with Anko being slammed into the concrete floor knocking the breath out of her and smacking her head on the floor.
Anko coughed out some blood and saw stars as she laid on the ground as Orochimaru raised his foot and drove it into her chest; Anko's ribs cracked and one of them may have even broke and punctured her lung.
Before Orochimaru could continued Kurenai sent a kick to Orochimaru's face breaking his nose and sending him stumbling back; Kurenai then threw a series of punches which Orochimaru dodged and blocked, before grabbing her arm.
Orochimaru swiftly brought down Kurenai's arm and threw a knee at it; the knee snapped Kurenai's arm with both bones in her forearm breaking and piercing through her skin. Kurenai began to scream in pain but soon stopped when Orochimaru elbowed her across the face making her spit up blood before grabbing her hair and pulling her head down by it.
Orochimaru then sent a second knee aimed at Kurenai's face hitting her in the face; Kurenai's nose broke and her left eye socket shattered and she fell to the ground. Orochimaru looked at her as she groaned and coughed; Kurenai's skin was pale and her veins were purple showing that the poison was working through her system.
"How pitiful… and you call yourself a jonin" Orochimaru said as he began to reach down "time to put you out of your misery"; before Orochimaru could grab her he was sent flying through the air by Lee who hit him with a flying side kick.
Lee with his four gates open was moving in a blur to Orochimaru who couldn't even see him; Lee appeared in the path of Orochimaru as he flew through the air and delivered a kick sending Orochimaru towards the ceiling.
Before Orochimaru could hit the ceiling Lee appeared in front of him again and threw a punch hitting Orochimaru in the gut making him cough up blood; Lee grabbed Orochimaru and flipped him around and put him right up against his chest. Lee's bandages came undone and wrapped around Orochimaru as Lee aimed the both of them towards the ground.
Both of them began to descent towards the ground and Lee began to spin himself and Orochimaru clockwise as they picked up speed "FORWARD LOTUS" Lee shouted.
The result was Orochimaru being sent smashing into the ground while Lee jumped away at the last second and landed on the other side of the room; as the smoke cleared Orochimaru shed his body once more and was breathing heavily as the damage was worse then before.
But before he could get back up Lee rushed over in a blur and kicked Orochimaru into the air once more; Lee felt the tendons in his legs begin to tear along with his muscles but he did not want to let up.
Lee jumped into the air after Orochimaru and threw a punch towards him; the punch sent Orochimaru flying through the air and Lee appeared in his path and sent a kick sending Orochimaru flying into the opposite direction. Lee began to pin ball Orochimaru through the air as he felt his muscles strain and tear with each hit.
Lee wrapped his bandaged around Orochimaru's waist and went above him; Lee pulled on the bandages as hard as he could and threw a simultaneous punch and kick.
"HIDDEN LOTUS" Lee roared as he slammed his foot and fist into Orochimaru's chest and stomach and sent him plummeting down towards the earth; Orochimaru slammed into the concrete once more and when the smoke cleared Orochimaru shed his old body once more feeling his chakra getting dangerously low.
"Little shit-" Orochimaru hissed as he looked up just in time to see Anko swing the sword.
"RAAAAH" Anko roared as she swung the Kusanagi and decapitated Orochimaru with a single swing of the sword; Orochimaru's head hit the ground and Anko threw the sword piercing it through and through before jumping back.
Anko went through hand signs 'Fire Style: Majestic Flame Jutsu'; Anko fired a stream of fire towards Orochimaru's body setting it ablaze before falling to a knee and holding her side.
"Come back from that fucker" Anko said breathing heavily; Lee landed on the ground near Anko and collapsed as his skin turned back to it's normal shade and he began to groan.
"M-my arm and leg" Lee said in agony as he laid on the ground "I-I can't feel them".
"Shit" Anko said as she crawled over on all fours and reached into her pouch revealing a syringe of morphine "this should help with the pain". Anko jabbed it into Lee's leg and the pain began to reside.
"LEE" came a shout and Anko turned and saw Hinata running over and kneeling next to him "is he ok?"
"Yeah he's fine; just torn muscles and broken bones" Anko said gaining Hinata's attention "but don't focus on him; go and help Kurenai". Hinata looked at Anko who pointed "she's over there and-" Anko began as both girls looked over and froze.
Kurenai was laying on the ground with her eyes closed and a smile on her face "K-Kurenai sensei?" Hinata said softly.
"Fuck… no" Anko said as she got to her feet and through extreme pain ran over and skidded next to Kurenai; Anko flipped her over and saw Kurenai had blood dripping from her nose, ears and mouth. Anko leaned over and put her ear to Kurenai's chest and didn't hear a heart beat "damn it" Anko said as she sat back up "the poison got her".
"K-Kurenai sensei…?" Hinata said in a daze as she walked over "Kurenai sensei?"; Hinata had tears rolling down her cheeks as she walked up and fell to her knees.
"She's gone kid" Anko said as she looked at Hinata who just sat there frozen in place "hey…"; Hinata didn't even register Anko was talking as she looked at Kurenai's body. Anko grabbed Hinata harshly, spun her around and proceeded to slap her across the face "GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR HYUGA" Anko shouted "Kurenai's dead, there's nothing more we can do for her; but Guy and Lee are fucked up right now and I can't fight anymore". "I need you to focus on them and to get us out of here" Anko said slowly and Hinata looked at her.
Hinata wasn't sure if it was Anko yelling, the slap or her talking that got her back to reality but Hinata nodded and wiped her tears away "seal up Kurenai sensei for me" Hinata said as she stood up "I'll heal you enough so where you can walk". Anko nodded glad she got through to her "where does it hurt the most?"
With Naruto and Gaara
Naruto and Gaara both entered the lowest level in the Root compound where Temari said she and the other prisoners were being held; all around him he heard the shouts of the prisoners banging on their cell doors.
"Damn this place is a freakin' nightmare" Naruto said as he and Gaara ran by the cells "they kept Temari in this shit hole?"
"And I thought Danzo's depravity could not get any lower" Gaara said as he and Naruto turned a corner.
"Naruto, stop; it's me" came a voice and both Naruto and Gaara stopped and turned to see who called; Naruto went wide eyed as he saw someone he never thought he'd see again.
"Shino, you're alive?" Naruto said; behind the bars of a cell there was Shino wearing his prisoner uniform and his sunglasses.
"Yes, I'm alive, now let me out and take off his chakra seal on my back" Shino said in his monotone voice; Naruto activated his gauntlet and pumped wind chakra into it before slicing the lock to the cell door.
The door opened up and Shino walked out and turned around revealing a chakra sealing tag on his back; Naruto grabbed it and made a hand sign. The tag burned away and Shino let out a sigh of relief as he felt his chakra network open up.
"Finally, my chakra is back" Shino said with a sigh of relief before turning around "I'm assuming this is not a rescue just for me?"
"We're taking down Danzo and Shikamaru once and for all and free Konoha" Naruto said with a smile "Wanna help us out?"
"I can do more than than; I know where Shikamaru is, he's on this level" Shino said making both boys do wide eyed "you just passed a hidden door down the last hall way; I'll take you and we can take out Shikamaru together".
"But you're bugs and stuff; aren't they dead?" Naruto asked and Shino shook his head as he held it his arms and a small swarm of bugs appeared.
"I sent a small swarm of my insects off before I got captured; along with a queen" Shino said "they've been feeding on my chakra despite how little I have had since it got sealed had; I only have one tenth of the number of my original hive, but it should be enough".
Naruto smiled at this "you always were a smart guy Shino" Naruto said and Shino in a rare moment gave a smirk "lets go find Shikamaru". Shino led Naruto and Gaara back down the hall they came from and to a door that was hidden with a genjutsu.
Upon reaching it Naruto grabbed the handle "alright guys… this is it" Naruto said and both Gaara and Shino nodded "lets waste this dick". Naruto, Gaara and Shino all stormed into the room ready to end the fight.
With Jiraya, Yugito and Bee
Jiraya, Yugito and Bee were all standing in Danzo's office on the fourth level looking around for anything to give them an idea as to where Danzo could be.
"Where is that one eyed bastard?" Jiraya said as he dug through the office "did he escape?"
"How could he escape?" Bee said as he knocked over a cabinet looking for an escape hatch "the entire compound is completely surrounded".
"I can't get a scent of him in here" Yugito said as she was using Matatabi's senses to sniff around.
"Lord Jiraya, come in; this is Kakashi" Kakashi said over the radio.
"What's going on Kakashi?" Jiraya said and Kakashi spoke.
"Sir the first, second, third and fourth floors are one hundred percent secure; all root ninja have stopped fighting" Kakashi said and Jiraya went wide eyed "I'm moving to the final level to assist Naruto and the others; the last level will be secured shortly".
Jiraya looked at the others as heard the transmission as well "How could Danzo not be here; where could he be?" Jiraya asked himself "there's no way he'd escape without a fight".
With Naruto, Gaara and Shino
Naruto, Gaara and Shino were all standing in the middle of a large open area that resembled the arena where the chunin exam preliminaries were held after the forest of death all those years ago.
Naruto, Gaara and Shino all stood wide eyed at what they saw; Shikamaru was standing there smoking a cigarette with Danzo and Shikaku on their knees and bound by his shadow possession jutsu. Behind him there were four root Anbu with their swords drawn.
"Naruto… Gaara… Shino; glad you could make it" Shikamaru said "I've been expecting you for a while"; Shikamaru tossed his cigarette to the ground and stomped it out. "Now then… lets talk shall we?" Shikamaru said.
"What the hell is this?" Naruto said as he took out his fan.
"Retribution" Shikamaru said as he looked at Danzo; Danzo had his right arm removed and was missing his right eye as there was nothing but an empty socket.
"For what?" Gaara asked and Shikamaru looked at him with a bored expression.
"Murdering Choji" Shikamaru said making all 3 of his former comrades go wide eyed "Danzo here murdered Choji in order to make Naruto look bad; so he could turn him into a mindless drone for root". "And it almost worked; hell it even fooled me" Shikamaru said as he kneeled down to Danzo's level "but… he didn't think I'd do my own personal investigation; Ino helped me discover out the plot". "It would've been smart to kill the agent who did the deed; but Danzo didn't think that far ahead" Shikamaru said.
"I was doing what was best for the village" Danzo said his voice strained "Jiraya was a fool and-"; Shikamaru with a single hand sign used his shadow to squeeze Danzo's neck, making him choke.
"Shut up, I'm talking" Shikamaru said with a sigh making Naruto and the others take a step back.
"W-wait, you knew this; for how long?" Naruto asked and Shikamaru looked at him.
"One week after you 'died'" Shikamaru said using air quotes "ever since then I've been by Danzo's side; I was acting as his loyal lap dog, following his orders". "I hoped this war would be over in a few months; I never expected Kumo, Kiri… or you Naruto" Shikamaru said looking at Naruto with a death glare "I had a plan".
"What plan?" Gaara said not knowing what he was going to say.
"I was planning on killing Danzo once we conquered Suna" Shikamaru said "I also planned on taking Oto after killing Orochimaru, annexing Taki and even taking Kusa and Ame; but you ruined it all". "I had it all planned out" Shikamaru said pinching the bridge of his nose "I'd become Hokage, I'd marry Temari to bring peace between Konoha and Suna and I'd make Konoha a true super power". "I could've done so much for the village" Shikamaru said "BUT YOU HAD TO COME BACK AND DESTROY EVERYTHING".
Naruto hearing this growled "killing people and conquering nations in the name of peace is fucking stupid" Naruto said "YOU FUCKING KILLED OUR FRIENDS YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE; WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
"You're still a simple minded idiot Naruto" Shikamaru said looking at him "the only way to achieve peace is through force; to ensure no one can threaten you". "This is why you'd never become the Hokage; you have the ideals of a fool and the dreams of a child" Shikamaru said.
Naruto smirked at this and spoke "well this 'fool' is going to be the next Kazekage and this 'child' is marrying Temari to do it" he said making Shikamaru scowl "face it asshole; you lost, so give up while you still can".
Shikamaru glaring daggers at Naruto made a hand sign "if I'm going to die… I'm taking you with me" he said; suddenly on the ceiling a large a large glowing seal appeared making Naruto and the others go wide eyed.
Outside the compound: With Sasuke and Kurumi
Sasuke who was carrying an unconscious Kurumi out of the Root compound head a loud noise behind him and he spun around; behind him there was a large purple barrier surrounding the compound preventing anyone from entering or escaping.
"What the hell?" Sasuke said not knowing what he's looking at.
Back with Naruto, Gaara and Shino
"What did you do Shikamaru?" Shino demanded and Shikamaru looked at him.
"That's a self-destruct seal; one of five I put on each floor" Shikamaru said with a smirk "in thirty minutes this entire base and everyone in it blows up".
Naruto and the others looked at him like he was crazy "you crazy fuck" Naruto shouted "when I kill you I'll find us a way out of here; you can bet your ass on that".
Shikamaru began to go through hand signs until stopping "don't hold your breath" he said before touching both Shikaku and Danzo "EDO TENSEI".
Dust began to cover both Shikaku and Danzo until they were completely covered and began to take shape; the first Edo Tensei was of Asuka. Shikamaru pulled out a scroll and opened it revealing two twin hook swords which she grabbed.
The second was one only Gaara recognized; Gaara saw the Edo Tensei of his father Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage. Shikamaru pulled out two more scrolls and opened them revealing two piles of gold dust.
"Commander Nara… thanks for holding your end of the deal" Asuka said with a smile before looking at Naruto.
"Oh fuck me; why is it always you" Naruto shouted in anger at Asuka and Shikamaru answered.
"She hates you almost as much as I do" Shikamaru said as he stood next to her; Shikamaru leaned over an whispered "you and me will take him on". Asuka nodded eagerly at this.
"As long as I get the killing blow" Asuka said.
"Father" Gaara said as he gathered his sand and faced towards Rasa.
"Gaara?" Rasa said surprised "I'm surprised to see that you're alive; I assumed someone would've killed you eventually".
"You thought wrong" Gaara said "I'm no longer the killing machine you created; I'm the Kazekage now, and I will defeat you". Gaara closed his eyes and suddenly he began to activate his 'Shukaku' mode; Gaara turned sandy brown with black lines running across him and he had a light glow to his body.
Rasa seeing this was astonished 'what is this power… is this the doing of the one tail?' Rasa thought.
Shino stepped forward and brought out his insects and faced the 4 root anbu "I'll be your opponent" he said as the anbu focused on him.
Naruto grit his teeth as he got ready to fight Shikamaru and Asuka 'damn it I don't have time for this' he thought 'Kurama, I need your help now'.
"Very well boy; good luck" Kurama said as he began to release his chakra into Naruto; Naruto activated his Kurama mode and glowed like a beacon in the dark room.
"Ok guys, we're on the clock" Naruto said to Gaara and Shino "lets end this quickly and get the hell out of here". Upon saying this Shikamaru and Asuka rushed towards him and Naruto brought back his fan and charged it up "WIND SCYTHE JUTSU" Naruto shouted.
Ok another chapter done; I hope you all enjoyed it. So yep, Shikamaru knew about Choji being murdered and decided to play the waiting game to kill Danzo; Shikamaru isn't an idiot, he would've figured out something didn't add up and investigate.
