"I can't believe the year is about to be over." Gloria said. The zoosters went to Monte Carlo, escaped from the evil officer Dubois, and joined their new home, the circus. They celebrated their first Christmas with the circus animals. Alex want to tell Gia his true feelings but failed thanks to the penguins, Sonya, and King Julien. The train stopped in Russia because the train had a-lot of smoke. The penguins are fixing the train.

"Now we got our New Year's resolutions. Let's share them." Gloria said.

"I will go first." Marty said. He read the three resolutions that he had written down.

"To get a zebra girlfriend."

"Travel to more places."

"Be a singer in the circus."

"Wow, those are really good resolutions Marty." Alex said.

Melman agreed. "Yeah you are the traveling zebra who like to go anywhere."

"The traveling happen it's all thanks to Marty. It's Melman turn." Gloria said.

Melman read his three resolutions on the paper. "My three resolutions is to spend time with Gloria, learn new skills for the circus, and balance on the tight rope without falling down."

"Those are good ones Melman." Alex said.

"You know how to love a woman." Marty smiled.

"Melman, you are the amazing guy. You always loved me. Being in Europe is romantic." Gloria said.

"Gloria you are so sweet." Melman said. He and Gloria smiled.

"It's my turn to share my resolutions." Gloria read her resolutions. "My resolutions are to spend time with Melman, to learn new dance moves, to be a dancer for the circus, and be the best hippo in the world." Gloria shared with her friends.

"Good resolutions honey." Melman smiled.

"That was amazing." Marty agreed.

"That is amazing news Gloria. I am excited to see your dance moves." Alex said.

"What about you Alex. What are your resolutions?" Gloria asked him.

"My resolutions is to ask Gia out." Alex told his friends.

"Awwwww." Marty, Melman, and Gloria cooed.

"Alex that is so sweet. There is nothing wrong with that." Gloria said.

"Yeah buddy. You will have the best girl in the world." Marty agreed.

"You should go for it Alex. You will be the lucky guy." Melman said.

"Thanks for the support guys." Alex smiled. "I will do it."

"Good luck Alex." Marty, Melman, and Gloria said.

"Hey Gia, listen I have feelings for you ever since I first met you. I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometimes as a date." Alex was practicing on how he will ask Gia out. He wanted to be perfect.

King Julien, Maurice, and Mort came to see their lion friend.

"Hey buddy lion. What are you doing?" King Julien asked his friend.

"Well I just have something in mind." Alex said.

"What is it?" King Julien asked him.

"I plan to ask Gia out and I want to be with her." Alex said.

"Oooooohh, you sly dog." King Julien said.

"You wanted a woman." Maurice said.

"Alex. For a man to treat a woman. Woman deserves to be loved by a man. You got to love her, kiss her, say romantic things to her, hug her, and take her on dates." King Julien said.

"You got this Alex." Mort said.

"You really think so." Alex said.

"Of course." King Julien said.

"Okay thanks guys. Wish me luck." Alex said as he open the train door.

"You will do fine Alex." Maurice said.

"Yeah." Mort said.

"I love that lion guy." King Julien said.

Alex open the train door and see his friends Vitaly and Stefano.

"Hey Vitaly and Stefano." Alex said.

"Hey my friend." Vitaly said.

"What's up Alice?" Stefano asked him.

"It's Alex." Alex corrected him. "Where is Gia?"

"She is on the training cart room." Stefano answered.

"Thanks Stefano. I need to talk to her because I plan to ask her out." Alex said.

"Oh wow, really." Vitaly said.

"I knew there as something between you two." Stefano said.

Vitaly show a mean face to Alex while he walked up to him. "You listen good lion." He growled. "Gia has been like a sister to me ever since she joined the circus. I love her. Just so we clear lion, if you ever break her heart, I will break your face and hurt you."

"Yeah, I get it. I totally got it." Alex said as he was scared of Vitaly's threat.

"Good now go get her tiger." Vitaly smiled.

"Good luck Alice." Stefano said.

Alex smiled at his friends. He is on his way to Gia's cart. Gia is doing her circus performance.

"Ladies and gentlemen the amazing and beautiful Gia will no doubt the famous Trapeze Americano." Gia would still do the impressions of her at the circus. She will always do it alone. Alex hears her. Alex knock on Gia's cart.

"Just a minute." Gia said as she came to the door. It revealed to be Alex.

"Hi Alex." Gia greeted her lion friend.

"Hi Gia. Mind if I can come in?" Alex asked her.

"Sure you can come in." Gia said. Alex came in Gia's cart.

"Alex, do you need something?" Gia asked him.

"Gia listen. I have feelings for you ever since I first saw you. Our adventures with the circus been amazing to me. You brought joy to my life when you and your friends save me and my friends from Dubois. I love you Gia. Do you want to go out sometimes as a date?" Alex finished his speech.

Gia is shocked on what Alex just said to her. She didn't overact. Gia smiled and respond to him. "Alex I have feelings for you also. You are the amazing guy. We do Trapeze together. You are my everything. Yes I would love to become your girlfriend." Gia said to him.

"Really." Alex said.

"Yes. My heart belongs to you." Gia said.

"Yes." Alex said. He and Gia hugged each other. They shared their first kiss. Their friends went to Gia's cart.

"Awwww the new couple are kissing." Marty said.

"This is so romantic." Gloria said.

"Alex finds love." Melman said.

"I am happy for them." Vitaly said.

"Kitty love." King Julien said.

"They are so cute together." One of the circus horses pointed at the couple.

"Mating is just getting started." Maurice chuckled.

"Love is for everyone." Skipper said.

"Good for Alex and Gia." Kowalski said.

"Yeah I love romantic scenes." Private said.

"This is the best thing we ever seen." Rico said.

"So cute." Mort laughing.

"We are a couple." Gia said.

"Lion remember our talk. You better not break my sister heart." Vitaly said.

"Vitaly. He loves me and he is a good guy." Gia said.

"Okay I will be watching you." Vitaly said in a stern way.

"Guys. The penguins were able to get access to the cable." Melman said. "So we will watch the ball drop in Times Square."

"That's awesome." Marty said.

"Sure. We love joining the fun." Alex and Gia said at the same time.

Alex and the rest of the animals watched the ball drop in Times Square. The animals started counting down from 10 for the new year.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR! The animals shouted. Alex and Gia share their first kiss of the year and everyone watched them kissing and the animals cheered for the lion and jaguar.

"Now let's party everyone." King Julien said as he play the party music I Like To Move It. All the animals dance. Alex danced with his new girlfriend Gia.

New Years Eve is good after all.
