As the sharpteeth cleaned the city, the earth shook and they looked up.

Longnecks were approaching the city, massive ones at that.

Meanwhile, the gang and Grey Wing were looking through the promising book of knowledge.

Only to get two sentences.

The more important one briefly stated that the Sharp Blackness, the name of the water that changed the gang, used a complex spell casted by a dying Fastbiter to create more Sharpteeth to grow armies. But the cave the large Fastbiter died in never got found again, until Littlefoot's gang found it of course, and knowledge of what happened got lost and destroyed.

The other sentence gave the general location of where the puddle was in the Great Valley.

"No..." Petrie meekly sighed.

"We are nowhere closer." Littlefoot told Grey Wing, his eyes a bit watery.

"It seems like that is the case, Littlefoot," Grey Wing agreed, "but we should not lose all faith"

"THIS ISN'T FAIR!" Cera blurted from anger as she grabbed the book, skimmed through it again, and threw it at the bookshelf.

Then everything started shaking, and before Grey Wing could react properly she got crushed by a falling bookshelf.

Grey Wing threw the belly dragger hide-bound book at Littlefoot as she got pierced by falling debris.

"Don't lose your way with each passing day as you've come so far. Don't throw it away. Live believing!" Grey Wing's words echoed as the library fell.

The gang made it out in time, and Littlefoot and Petrie were about to sit down and start weeping when they noticed the approaching enemy and all ran.

The giant longnecks breached the walls and one yelled "FEAR US!" in his leaf-eater language as they trampled anything in their way. The gang were crying but running for shelter, Littlefoot realized he understood what the giant longneck said, and Spike was holding Ducky in his hands to protect her. Sometimes they looked up to make sure they didn't get crushed.

It was hard to tell what was going on in the gang's point of view, but Petrie noticed a shelter that the friends ran towards. Spike briefly looked at a fallen sign that said 'Cooked Hoppers ready to serve!' with a dead fastbiter crushed underneath it which immediately destroyed Spike's growing hunger. Littlefoot tried to keep the Arts of Magic Book in his hands, and when they got into the shelter Littlefoot realized he scraped his knee. Spike got a little scratch on his neck, Cera had small patches of mildly burned scales, and Grey Wing was dead.

Littlefoot got bandages and put one on his injured leg, Spike's neck, and Littlefoot found treatment for burns for Cera. Petrie quickly looked outside to see a bunch of Longnecks trampling the city, which was falling apart and lit on fire in some areas. Nohorns, Thicknoses, and Threehorns were patrolling the area and stomping on Sharpteeth. Flattooth fliers flew in the sky. The sky. It was cloudy, with winds that suddenly perked in areas, and no bright circle. The bright circle might not shine for a while now. The winds were getting a bit bad in some areas and pieces of buildings flew for a few seconds.

Then a gust of wind hit Petrie and he flew through something before passing out. His wings slightly torn, but he was fine other than that.

His imaginary friend appeared to help too, though he was mute. Spike grunted at a brief shaking that happened to the shelter while others who weren't the gang of 5 were sleeping. The gang of 5 (6?) couldn't sleep though, except for Petrie who was knocked unconscious.

Eventually Petrie awoke, and because of his useless wings he shifted into a glider, with the pain being basically gone.

"We should head out," Littlefoot broke the silence, "We can get help from Chomper at the Great Valley."

Spike nodded, Cera eyerolled but agreed, Petrie got a bit scared of the idea but eventually agreed, and Ducky also agreed.

"Not a bad idea, yep yep yep." Ducky said.

"I'm not sure if it will work but we not have other safer options..." Petrie said again. (His speech problem was mostly fixed by Grey Wing btw)

Meanwhile, in the Great Valley, parents and grandparents are mourning that they have no clue where Littlefoot and the rest went.

Some of the flattooths got suspicious of Chomper, but they had no evidence he did anything so Chomper didn't get banished.

Bron and his herd visited the Great Valley, telling the news of Rhett's passing. Bron then got really sad when he heard that Littlefoot and his friends have been missing for too long, and are probably dead. Ali also got really sad, as she had feelings for Littlefoot, and she already lost Rhett even if Rhett was not so nice sometimes.

After several days, the gang of 5 sneaks by Sharpteeth for safety measures even though they are also Sharpteeth now. On their way to the great Valley they eat two hoppers, many crawlers, a couple of tickly fuzzies, and one corpse of a spiketail, which even Spike ate.

Eventually they managed to get into the Great Valley and Littlefoot thought he and his friends made it to Chomper's cave without being seen. Little do they Topps, Mr. Thicknose, and Littlefoot's grandparents saw the fast biters.

"Phew, I hope we are safe now, yep yep yep" Ducky said to no one in particular.

"But where is Chomper?" Littlefoot asked.

Littlefoot immediately got his answer as Chomper revealed himself from the shadows.

"Why do you have Littlefoot's voice but speak Sharptooth?" Chomper questioned, "And you are also a fast biter! Littlefoot is a longneck. What did you do to him and his friends?"

Littlefoot was about to answer Chomper, but then a familiar face walked in. Ali.

"FAST BITERS!" She yelped out.

"Ali quiet!" Littlefoot said, but somehow in Leaf Eater.

Author Notes:

This is my first fanfiction story.

Sorry if it felt rushed.

The Arts of Magic book is the book that had the two important sentences about the Sharp Blackness, and Grey Wing was the one who secretly gave Littlefoot, Cera, Spike, Ducky, and Petrie the ability to speak nearly perfect leafeater.
