It was morning and the ship had just reached the famous Liyue Harbor.

To say that the many 'tourists' from Inazuma were glad that this trip had been a resounding success would be an understatement.

While Liyue wasn't Mondstadt with its renown focus on freedom, anything was better than the ruthless bureaucracy of the Land of Thunders.

And among those that welcomed the change of air with glee and hope, a single individual made its way out with a determined step-

"Kazuha!"

Only to pause as he heard the familiar voice of the vessel's captain.

He turned and he offered a polite smile.

"Captain Beidou."

The pirate lady nodded as she approached him.

"Kazuha, almost thought you would have scurried away like the rest of your people."

She wasn't wrong. There was a 'breeze' carrying him with wonder over the freer and shinier Liyue, like a child being exposed to a world of toys and beautiful games.

Yet, Kazuha had long disciplined his mind and body. Not just for a personal desire, but out of necessity so he wouldn't 'fall' to all.

"I am not. I am aware of our deal."

Beidou rolled her eyes (or eye, since the other one was hidden behind some cloth), and she chuckled.

"Kazu, we had this talk. A plan of this kind takes time. You're also lucky that Lady Ningguang is listening to rebellious stuff against the Raiden Shogun."

Things could have been worse, don't push it.

The translation hit Kazuha's figurative guts and his smile strained.

"My very apologies-"

"And drop the stiffy attitude. No one is going to hurt or arrest you. You are a free man here in Liyue."

It was easier said than done. He still kept his shoulders tense as he moved into the proper land.

Liyue was indeed endearing. It had some similarities to Inazuma, but where the dresses and the items were meant to be sober to a degree back home, here everyone showed their riches in how they dressed, talked, or even how they walked.

It was disorienting for a time, and Kazuha resolved to just walk and see what else he could find to 'distract' himself.

His mind was still to Inazuma, to the mission, to his life quest.

He had promised to not let this consume him, but he knew each day more people suffered due to the horrible rules of the Commissions and the Shogun. Something had to be done at once before this became too much for those left to bear.

The Vision Hunt Degree... what a disgusting misuse of power.

As he wandered, Kazuha picked up a few rumors from the people. He had heard beforehand by Beidou that they had faced Osial.

How a mortal may have played a key role in slaying such an ancient god and, albeit weakened, this meant that there was such a chance for a mortal to slay an Archon.

He just didn't believe it. Not until his curiosity caught up to him as he heard this individual was currently sparring with the Millelith.

The display was supposedly public, so he felt keen to ignore the pangs of hunger for a while just so he could get a proper look on said mortal.

Shenhe, that was her name. Her strikes were graceful as she carefully struck and disabled her foes, holding back as she chose to not harm any of them.

She was indeed a mighty warrior, but it wasn't her graceful fighting that claimed his attention- it was the man sitting by a nearby bench watching over the fight.

Kazuha... felt a phantom fear as he looked at him.

The soft but stern look was too familiar to ignore, but his tension faltered as he saw him smile at Shenhe as she walked up to him once the fight was over.

He is not... her. But there was something in his eyes, a thunderous glint, that was impossible to ignore.

How? How could it be that someone could be like the Shogun and yet... so calm and at ease.

Among mortals.

A God. That man is a god.

Kazuha slipped through the crowd, chasing quietly and yet swiftly after the duo as they connected with others and... he stopped as he saw the bald man pause and turn to him.

"You have been following us for a while."

He felt the words, rough in the voice and sharp in their meaning, stab through. Kazuha had almost released his sword by instinct and the man had just spoken. How? How can he be so... so scary?!

Nonetheless, Kazuha forced his body to bow.

"A-Apologies. I was interested to speak with you."

Kazuha knew he was risking with how clumsily bold he was being. But the tension somewhat lessened by the next words uttered by the giant of a man.

"Go on, then. I am listening."

Everyone looked at him with interest and suspicion, but the man was impossible to read. In fact, in a rather odd comparison, he couldn't help but confirm that...

He felt like he was talking to a more humane and yet far more ruthless Raiden Shogun in that very moment.
