Harry, Severus and Aunt May walk through the entrance to the zoo. "Did we bring anything to drink, Aunt May, Sev?" Harry asks.
Severus reaches into the bag hanging from his shoulder, pulling out a fruit punch juice box. He hands it to the boy who takes it with glee. Severus and Aunt May chuckle at the boy.
"Thirsty, weren't you?" May smiles while Harry nods happily. Why wouldn't he? He got his juice.
Snape holds a map, pointing at one spot, "Did you want to save the snakes or the spiders for last, Harry?"
The boy thinks for a moment before coming to his decision. "I'd like to see the spiders first, please." Harry's eyes are wide with excitement.
May ruffles the boy's hair, grinning. "Then, off we go to see the spiders!" She calls out.
Before they can leave the lobby they hear a voice call out, "Harry!"
A platinum blonde-haired boy barrels into Harry, hugging him.
"Draco!" Harry exclaims, hugging the boy back.
"Happy birthday, Harry!" Draco grins at his friend.
Harry turns to Snape and realizes that Lucius is also there, smiling at him. The blonde man was carrying two presents wrapped in red, yellow, blue, and green paper. "Happy birthday, Harry," he says softly. "So we're going to the spider house or the snake exhibit?" Lucius smirks at the boy kindly. Harry jumps excitedly in Draco's arms, not wanting to let go.
"Yes, we're going to the spiders first!"
Snape looks at his watch, "Well, Remus texted to let me know he'll meet us there. He wants to pick you up another present." The boy almost runs toward the spider exhibit. The adults have to move quickly to keep up with the two.
The boys are standing in front of some tarantula cages, one is blue and red and another is white and purple. Draco seems to take a liking to the white and purple spider while Harry has taken a liking to the red and blue one.
Remus walks into the exhibit, looking around before spotting Harry and smiling. He goes over to his honorary nephew with a box under his arm. "Happy birthday, Harry." Remus grins at Harry, holding out his arm so Harry can hug him. May and Severus smile while the two Malfoys smirk.
"I got you something!" Remus holds the box to Harry, who takes the cover off to reveal a scrapbook. The scrapbook has a picture of his parents, Severus, Remus, and Sirius. "Severus and I got all the pictures together while Lucius helped put them in the book. Do you like it?"
Harry is tracing the face of his mother and father with a finger; a silent tear drips down his face. He is smiling brightly, however. "I love it, Uncle Moony."
Neither Harry nor Draco notices a baby spider from the tarantulas they had been admiring crawl onto their shoulders and on the back of their necks.
The group is now in the snake exhibit. The adults are over by a different habitat while Harry and Draco admire a large Boa constrictor. There is a boy with his parents standing nearby.
"Make it move," the boy demands his father, who taps his knuckle on the glass. He follows it up by demanding the snake to move. Harry has never met the boy but knows who it is and isn't impressed. "Move!" Dudley shouts, banging his fist on the glass.
"He's asleep!" Harry and Draco shout at him. They could not believe someone was that entitled to demand a sleeping snake move.
"He's boring," Dudley and his parents head to another enclosure, leaving Harry and Draco with the snake.
Draco looks around, scanning the area before turning back to Harry. "The coast is clear, Harry."
Harry starts hissing. "Sorry about him. He probably doesn't understand what it's like lying there day after day, having people press their ugly faces on you." The snake looks up at him and blinks. "You're from Brazil, aren't you? Was it nice there, do you miss your family? The snake turns its head toward a sign which says, 'Bred in Captivity'. "I see. That's me as well. Unfortunately, I never got to meet my parents. Hopefully, you'll get to see them someday."
The now awake snake had attracted Dudley's attention. He comes over to the glass, knocking Harry into Draco, causing them to tumble to the floor.
"Mommy, Dad, come here! You won't believe what this snake is doing!" Dudley puts his hands on the glass wall. With his back turned Harry and Draco glared at him.
Suddenly, the glass disappears, causing Dudley to wretch forward, losing his balance.
"Whoa! Ahh! Ahh!" Dudley exclaims. Dudley falls into the snake enclosure, sputtering in a pool of water.
"Ow!" Harry and Draco hit the back of their necks, killing the spiders that had just injected their venom into their bloodstreams.
The snake exited the exhibit, slithering past Harry and Draco, who were about to pass out. "Thanks," he hisses.
"Anytime."
As the snake slithers to the exit a man screams, "Snake!" The man's scream draws the attention of Snape, Remus, Lucius, and May. There are a lot of screams as the snake heads for freedom. Dudley gets up to get out, but the glass is back over the enclosure.
Seeing he is now trapped, he pounds on the glass in panic. Once the adults reach Harry and Draco, the two have already passed out. The two holding onto each other in apparent pain and panic/
The adults fear for the two boys, trying to wake them while Petunia gets over to the chaos in the background.
"Mom, mommy!" Dudley shouts, hitting the glass to draw his mother's attention. In doing so, she screams.

It had been two days since then and Severus and Lucius were sitting on the beds with their child. Remus and May are standing nearby and everyone is worried with good reason. After a few moments, Daco starts to stir, Harry following closely behind.
"Sev?"
"Father?"
The two rasp out, clutching the hands held out for them. When they grab their parent or guardians' hand. "You're going to be alright, Harry. Poppy came and checked you both to make sure of it."
The boys started tearing up.
"It's so loud," Harry whined.
"Why is it so loud?" Draco sobbed.
They started panicking and their grip on their parental figures tightened. Severus and Lucius winced, looking concerned and confused at the two.
