Chapter eight:

Kaoru blinks awake finding himself laying in bed. He shifts to sit up still feeling slightly dizzy though he still glances around. He doesn't see anyone so he tries to remember why he was out. His eyes widen as it comes flooding back to him. He looks around again as he realizes that he wasn't in bed when he had passed out. He slightly slowly gets up worried that maybe Hikaru found him and he had worried the other. He goes to find him just nodding to the servants who mention that it is good to see him up. He really wishes that he knew what had happened after he had passed out. He would ask them however he wants to talk to Hikaru first because he truly does worry that he had possibly gotten Hikaru super worried. He pauses hearing Hikaru's voice coming from the living room. He is about to go that way when Kyouya's voice speaks up.

"Well the host club have all been trying to deflect anything about this. Stating that it is not to be talked about. The girls at least seemed to understand that this wasn't to be found out at least like this. So they spread the word to other girls so they stopped talking about it around any of us."

"I cannot speak for how safe school might seem to Kaoru especially after this."

"I understand. I would also like to add that me and Tamaki have started the process to get those that revealed this to be kicked out of that club. If the other club members won't give them up then the whole club will be forced to disband. What they did was a huge invasion of privacy and is something that should have never happened."

"Well whats done is done. Can we just focus on what to do about this now?"

"Of course." Kyouya agrees to this so Kaoru slightly pokes his head around the corner to look into the living room. He adjusts his glasses as the two are sitting on the couch with a space between them. "What I can say is that it will be not allowed to be talked about in the club room by any guests. If any of them bring it up then they will be told to leave. No refund. Tamaki is making sure that the rule will be made aware to everyone who will visit."

Hikaru nods and his back is to Kaoru so he doesn't know that the other is awake not to mention listening in. "I really appreciate that. I also know that Kaoru will too when he wakes up."

"Hopefully everything is okay with that." Kyouya mentions briefly not looking in the direction that would allow him to see Kaoru peeking around the corner.

"Sure it was a huge mess at first. When no one knew what had happened. Once I saw what the cause was I understood and even though I didn't give details, so they don't know that it was Kaoru singing that was revealed, everyone calmed down after I explained. He is resting in bed so hes not on the floor where he passed out."

"Well that is good." Kyouya does sound happy to hear that. "Do you have any ideas as to what you would like to do about this being public now? Even with the ban about talking about it and none of us allowing others to talk to us about it, we cannot erase what has happened. They know now. Even though they weren't supposed to."

"Hm…" Hikaru looks down clearly not actually sure what they are supposed to do now.

Kaoru ducks back around the corner leaning his back against the wall. He isn't really sure if he should just walk in there and disrupt the conversation that is going on. He could since it does technically involve him however he also isn't really sure if it is how he wants to enter that conversation. He would be walking in right in the middle of it all and he would also have to decide if he tells them that he listened or not. He slightly shakes his head glad that his dizziness has pretty much all faded at this point. He really should let them know that he is awake. He is stopped by a thought that he doesn't even know what he would say about all of this. He feels scared to even talk about his biggest secret has been aired out for all to see. He blinks as he gets an idea and heads away from the two. He makes it back to the bedroom pulling out a laptop. He sits on the bed by the pillows with his feet stretched out on the bed. He opens the laptop and pulls up the video. He pauses it to not listen to himself on the video. He instead scrolls down to the comments looking through them. His eyes slightly widening at what they are saying.

There is of course some making comments about how things like this shouldn't be filmed without permission as clearly it was meant to be private, some of them even mention how those of the group that were in school today banned talking about it with them showing that they did not okay this video.

The comments that really catch Kaoru's attention is the ones that actually talk about his performance.

Clearly looks like his first time though I must say that he has a voice like an angel. I could listen to it over and over. Even if he didn't do anything publicly I would follow along to any songs that he posts online if he ever does that. Could someone suggest that to him? He could even hide behind an avatar.

I think that the reason that this was private is because of stage freight. My friend has it and she can't even do a presentation to the class without passing out. If that is the case then that is too bad. I would respect it but I really love his singing voice. It sounds professional and it is amazing.

He sings so well!

I want to hear more of his singing!

We get to see an upcoming star in action.

He is going to become a celebrity in no time.

Someone contact a record label they need to get a contract with him asap.

Kaoru sees other such comments and he ends up stopping his reading of them. "Others really like my singing." He mentions quietly and remembers that the only negative comments was about how the ones who did this had invaded their privacy to get this video. He starts to think about performing to his friends seeing their faces looking so impressed and happy. He lets his thoughts wander to what if there was more people there at the time. His heart does skip a beat in fear at the thought of singing to a whole crowd, however as he remembers the comments he can see them looking impressed and happy. He realizes that truly if he did come out to sing to others then they would like it just like his friends had. He just isn't fully sure if he is ready to show off to a whole crowd. He is broken out of his thoughts as he hears footsteps. He puts his laptop away realizing that those footsteps are heading his way.

"Kaoru?" Hikaru asks almost hesitantly as if thinking that he is still asleep. He comes into the room and hurries over hugging his brother at seeing him wide awake.

Kaoru hugs his brother back. "Sorry for scaring you." He mentions to which Hikaru pulls away to be able to look at him. "I heard part of what you and Kyouya talked about."

"You could have come to join us." Hikaru tells him and Kaoru slightly glances away.

"Well there was something I wanted to look at by myself and think over before I did." Kaoru tells his brother who lets out a comforting sound. He continues before the other can speak. "Hikaru. I want to share some thoughts with you. I just haven't really decided for sure. Can you just listen right now?"

"Of course." Hikaru moves to sit down next to Kaoru listening as Kaoru tells him what he had seen in the comments as well as his thoughts about performing in front of others. He stays quiet as Kaoru talks to try to figure out where his thoughts are currently on this whole thing. He knows that this is the best thing that he can do for his brother right now.

Kaoru really just needs someone to listen as he spills his thoughts out and tries to straighten them out to come to his own conclusion.

Hikaru is ready to listen no matter how long it takes Kaoru to be able to figure this out. He wants his brother to decide things for himself concerning this and he doesn't want to end up influencing a decision that really isn't for him to make.
