Clown2107: Yes, Midoriya's father is still an Oni. However, Izuku has probably never met the man personally. But Inko seems to hold him in high reguard still for giving her children a chance for them to have a happy life. They have yet to marry. However, only she knows his true identity.

Also was playing Nioh 2 the other day and realized that Tesso drop Kamaitachi teeth... I'm not sure of what that implies.

Izuku studied the strange man in front of him in this odd dream world. The guy was a giant. He was at least 9 ft tall. The muscles on his body nearly rivaled All Might's. His eyes were purple, with a calming blue hue. His white hair reached to the base of his neck and was unkeempt.

The clothes was also a tossup. Black iron armor covered his forearms, shins, and waist. He wore a deep purple hakama. The robes he wore was seemingly made out of two coats sewn together, his right side was white with a purple floral design, on his left, it was a solid reddish brown.

Izuku asked cautiously. "W-Who are you?"

The stranger awnsered. "Who I am is not important at this very moment. However what is important is your future, the outcome of which shall be determined by what happens here and now." The man geustured to Izuku. "As you have great potential. As well as the potential to mold Japan like clay, for better or worse."

Izuku was taken aback by the comment. "I think you have the wrong idea sir. You see... I'm quirkless, no one special... You must have the wrong person." The boy did not know why he felt this way despite the fact that he was adamant he could be somebody just this morning.

The man studied Izuku. "Hmm... No, I belive I am talking to the right person. Nevertheless, Your power is latent, and unlike almost any other in your age. For the blood of the yokai runs through you. Potent and powerful."

Izuku took a step back to process the information. First confronting the first revelation. "Wait, yokai are real?"

The man rolled his eyes. "The age you live in is one where humanity evolved to have supernatural traits and the existance of yokai is what you are questioning? Surely you have seen some wandering spirits in your life? Or at least some sort of Nigitama."

He looked back and scratched his head, then realized what this man was talkng about. "You mean those little green guys and that weird cat thing?"

The man nodded. "So you have seen them. Yet you did not question it? Well, it does not matter anyway. Also those are Kodama and Sunekosuri... Would you like some tea? It wjll calm your nerves as you seem to need." The man guestured for Izuku to follow him. Seeing as there was nothing else going on, he went with him.

The man walked up to the teahouse up on the third floor of the main building and opened the door, revealing the a nice and tidy room with a iron teapot over a fire. A window was open for the steam to escape. The large man sat on a mat near the fire and guestured for Izuku to take the other across from him.

The man grabbed the teapot and poured two cups, and handed one to him. "Thanks." Izuku took a sip, only cough it out. "Ack, too hot... I'm sorry!" The young man quickly apologized when he saw that the tea had been sputtered on the man. Of which was visibly annoyed when he reached for a hand towel.

The man wiped his face with the warm towel. "I can see that you like the tea... I wasn't entirely sure what you expected after I just took it off the heat... Well, I suppose that you must have some other questions." Izuku quickly noticses this social que and goes along with it.

He asked a question. "So, what is this place? The heat felt too real to be a dream, but this obviously isn't the real world, right? Also what do you mean that I have the blood of the yokai in me? And you still haven't told me who you are or your offer." Izuku just started to ramble off questions for this very moment until the man inturupted him.

"Give me a moment to awnser before you ask anything more." Izuku quickly shut up after this. "Now, as for your first question. You are right. This is neither a dreamscape nor the mortal coil you are familiar with."

"Then what is this place?" Izuku pondered. The man awnsered.

"This, my boy. Is the Interim. A realm seated between life and death, yokai realm and the mortal realm. Or at least the outskirts of the Interim. Spirits gather here if their will and regrets remain strong on earth." The man got up and pointed out a window."That, is the Interim proper." Izuku looked in the direction and saw a great hollow tree in the middle of a vast lake. surrounded by charms. The man had explained, but before Izuku could ask another question though the man answered for him. "And no, you are not dead, you are very much still alive."

Izuku then asked. "Then how am I here? If I'm not dead, then that would mean that I'm still alive. Can living people go to the Interim? Do people get trapped here? Am I trapp-." The man inturupted him.

"Those with powerful yokai blood can enter the Interim on their own will. Especially those with yokai blood as strong as yours. You are free to leave at any moment you decide." This eased Midoriya's nerves as they sat back down. "As for your second question, I say you have yokai blood because you are a child of yokai. You are a hanyō."

Izuku's eyes widened at this revelation. "H- Half-Demon? T-That's not possible, I would have noticed by now. Mom would have told me if she were one or if dad was one." The man looked at him empatheticly. He sighed.

"Deny it, accept it, it makes no difference." The man muttered somthing under his breath that Izuku couldn't make out after he said that. He wasn't paying attention though, focusing on the one revelation that called the one thing almost everyone had told him into question.

Under his breath, he whispered. "I've have had power since the day we were born?... No, this doesn't change anything about me..." He then refocused. Trying not to get troubled by this newfound reality.

The man waited a moment before he answered the third question."As for my identity, as you insist on knowing, am an oni from the beginning of the heian period. One reviled in history. Mired by my crusade against humanity. I have long separated my hatred from myself, yet my negative influence has affected the world to this day..."

Izuku, meanwhile, immediately became nervous as he spoke. "S-So you were evil, n-now you aren't? W-what do you need me for?" Anxiety building as he spoke. Was this man here to convince himself to join a dark plot?

The man shook his head, as if he knew what Izuku was worried about. "Do not misunderstand me... I no longer care about humanity's doom. What I offer will be entirely yours to decide what to do with."

The young greenet looked at the man with confusion. "If what you say is true, then what exactly are you trying to give me?"

The man looked Midoriya straight in the eyes and said. "I offer you the chance to hone your power into something greater than what it is. I offer you your dreams to become a reality, whether it be of light, darkness, or somthing else entirely. As I see this situation, you have two choices. Either decline my offer, live a mundane, uneventful life, or accept."

Izuku looked down at his hand, and opened his palm. "Are you saying I can be a hero?" He said as he clenched his hand as he looked at the man as tears welled up.

The man indirectly confirmed the question. "If that is what your dream is, who am I to stand in your way if that is what you choose."

Izuku lifted his sleeve to wipe his face. "You said it was a deal... What do I have to do?"

The man began to explain. "Japan has always had haunted grounds. However since the rise of humankind's evolution, a new form of discontent has infected the world. In order for you to not be afflicted, all you have to do is deny yourself a mundane life, and do what must be done. This is so that the skills you learn under me will not go to waste, that and our time."

Izuku listened carefully, and looked at the yokai with resolve. "I accept your offer."

He grinned slightly. "As expected from someone like you. You shall now wake from the Interim." And just like that, Izuku woke up to the morning sun.

P.S. Chapter is shorter because if I didn't end it here it would have dragged on.
