Chapter 65.
The biggest betrayal!
A week has passed since what happened in Deika and the news of a villain attack in the quiet city has become public.
The Meta Liberation Army was in charge of falsifying everything that happened and thanks to that the League of Villains was not involved in anything.
Meanwhile, the League of Villains is at Re-Destro's mansion eating sushi. – "So this is what they call, calm before the storm, huh?"- Mr. Compress said.
- "It's nice to eat something that tastes good for a change."- Yamikumo said.
- "Dabi, if you don't want yours, I'll eat it."- Toga said.
- "Sure… I don't like fish anyways."- Dabi said.
- "We are invincible!"- Twice said.
- "It is time…"- Tomura said arriving next to Skeptic, Trumpet and Alpha.
- "We are still eating."- Yamikumo said.
- "Well, eat faster!"- Skeptic said.
- "Leave it, Skeptic."- Trumpet said.
- "It's time to go."- Tomura said.
- "Alright."- Mr. Compress said as he and the other league members begin to follow Tomura, except for Yamikumo. – "Not coming?"-
- "Tomura said that I'm not one of his lieutenants... so I'll be with the rest of the public."- Yamikumo said.
- "That's fair."-
After this, Yamikumo is left alone in the room, for a few seconds silence fills the room, then Yamikumo takes the last piece of sushi that remains and leaves the room with a completely serious face.
Yamikumo walks to a room, opening the door he meets Garaki. – "Atanagi... Strange to see you come here on your own... you usually accompany someone else."- The doctor said with some nerves.
- "That's very simple doctor..."- Yamikumo throws his katana and with it impales Garaki's robe against the wall, immobilizing the doctor.
– "What are you doing?!"- Garaki asked.
- "It's time for you and me to have a talk..."- Yamikumo said. – "Tell me everything you know about Hiro."-

Meanwhile, in the basement of the mansion, which is large enough to accommodate all the MLA members and Gigantomachia without problems, Re-Destro, who is now in a special walking chair, is giving a speech while Tomura is sitting on a throne with a cape and crown.

From today we will be known as..."-
- "The Paranormal Liberation Front"- Tomura said. – "Finally, these nine people at my side from now on will be my lieutenants who will be in charge of coordinating our forces."-

After the speech the league is walking down a hallway being accompanied by Trumpet and Re-Destro. – "That was a great performance!"- Re-Destro said. – "Do you need anything else?!"-
- "Get lost."- Tomura said.
- "With pleasure! Let's get lost Trumpet!"- Re-Destro said as he and Trumpet leave.
- "What a nuisance..."- Tomura said and then tried to communicate with Garaki. – "Garaki... is everything ready?"-
However, everyone is surprised to hear that it is not Garaki who answers. - *I'm sorry Tomura... but the doctor is not available.*- Yamikumo said.
- "You…"- Tomura said. – "What the fuck do you think you're playing?!"-
- *Playing? Me? You should already know that I never do anything stupid.* - Yamikumo said. – *Why don't you all come here? Let's have a little chat.* -
Upon hearing this, all the members of the league head to where Yamikumo is, however Alpha stops when he hears a voice in his personal communicator. - *Alpha…*-
- "Chairman Hiro…"- Alpha said.
- *We have been compromised...*- Hiro said. – *Come back here... code Gold.*-
- "Understood…"- Without further ado, Alpha leaves the place, leaving everyone behind.
When the league arrive, everyone is surprised to see Yamikumo sitting in Garaki's chair and with him on the floor while Yamikumo has his foot on top of him. – "Hello."- Yamikumo said.
- "You!"- Tomura said and tries to attack Yamikumo but he stabs his katana dangerously close to Garaki's head.
- "If I'm not mistaken, this guy is the only one who can give you that power..."- Yamimuko said. – "You try something... and this guy dies, understand?"-
Tomura just glares at Yamikumo.
- "What are you doing?!"- Dabi said. – "Have you gone crazy?!"-
- "Why are you doing this?!"- Toga asked. – "I thought you already one of us!"-
- "W-Why?!"- Twice said.
- "I... I'm not the one you should distrust..."- Yamikumo said. – "Tomura has been hiding many things from you."-
- "What are you talking about?"- Dabi asked.
- "Tomura... don't tell me you haven't told them?'"- Yamikumo said.
- "I don't know what you're talking about!"- Tomura said.
- "Well... if you don't tell them I will..."- Yamikumo said. – "Chairman Hiro is still alive."-
- "What?!"- Dabi said completely surprised.
- "That can't be!"- Toga said.
- "Hiro? Who's that?"- Twice asked.
- "No idea… but it looks like Dabi and Toga know about that."- Mr. Compress said.
Yamikumo smiles slightly as he sees Tomura tense up.
- "How do you know this?"- Toga asked.
- "An old friend confirmed it."- Yamikumo said. – "I have to admit...she hasn't changed a bit since we blew up that place."-
- "The sniper…"- Dabi said.
- "Correct."- Yamikumo said.
- "I do not understand what is happening!"- Mr. Compress said. – "Who is this Hiro guy? And what does he have to do with Tomura?!"-
- "Very simple... please... eyes on the screen."- Yamikumo said while playing a video from a security camera.
In the recording are All for One, Kurogiri and Garaki, apparently they are waiting for someone.
And to Dabi and Toga's surprise, the one who appears from the shadows is Hiro, just as they remember him. – "All for One… It's been a while..."- Hiro said.
- "Hiro… I find myself in the situation of asking you a favor."- All for One said.
- "I'm sorry... but I don't do favors."- Hiro said.
- "I know... I'll tell you what I want and you'll tell me what you want."- All for One said.
- "That's more like it."- Hiro said. – "What do you want?"-
All for One snaps his fingers and Kurogiri makes the body of a red-haired boy appear. – "I need you to create a loyal soldier for my successor, Tomura."- All for One said. – "I can bring this boy to life and with your conditioning he will be loyal to Tomura."-
- "Yes... I can do that... but I don't make slaves anymore."- Hiro said. – "My factory was destroyed."-
- "Garaki will provide you with the necessary instruments."- All for One said.

When the video ends everyone, except Tomura, is completely surprised, especially Dabi and Toga, did the previous boss really use Dabi and Toga as bargaining chips?
- "You…"- Dabi said turning to Tomura. – "Did you know about this?"-
- "No… Sensei also hid things from me."- Tomura said.
- "Yes, you are a compulsive liar Tomura... why don't you tell them about your meeting with Hiro while we were in Nabu?"- Yamikumo said. – "Or will I have to do it?"-
- "You…"- Dabi said. – "You wanted to use us as simple bargaining chips?!"-
- "That idiot is trying to get us to fight!"- Tomura said.
- "Am I?"- Yamikumo asked. – "So nothing happens if I play another video?"-
- "Don't you dare!"- Tomura said but Toga threatens him with a knife to his neck and Dabi with his fire.
- "Why don't you want us to see it?"- Dabi asked.
- "Play it..."- Toga said.
Yamikumo smiles and plays the video.
The video begins and shows Tomura sitting while in front of him is an angry Hiro, Garaki is also there. – "We had a deal!"- Hiro said.
- "Your deal was with sensei... not with me."- Tomura said.
- "And yet I gave you my bronze guard for your mission and thanks to you I lost it!"- Hiro said. – "All so that one of the four I'm looking for can join you, now you have with you three of the four people I'm looking for!"-
- "What a misfortune for you, isn't it?"- Tomura said.
- "I lost my bronze guard for you... you owe me a favor!"- Hiro said.
- "I know…"- Tomura said. – "Give me some time... when they return from Nabu I'll give them to you as soon as I get some replacements for them."-
- "My patience is wearing thin... you better keep your end of the deal."- Hiro said.
- "They are just simple units...disposable...I can find more like them."- Tomura said. – "When you realize... they will already be with you and you will be free to do whatever you want to them."-
- "Alright… you better be right."- Hiro and Tomura shake hands.

Silence fills the room... no one can believe it.
Tomura takes advantage of this to push Dabi and Toga and pounce on Yamikumo who when he realizes he already has Tomura in front of him. – "You bastard!"- Tomura is about to touch Yamikumo with his right hand but a thrown knife stabs his hand.
Seeing the culprit, it turned out to be Toga.
- "Who do you think you're attacking, Toga?!"- Tomura screamed.
- "Tomura... you..."- Toga said with tears in her eyes. – "How dare you?! I trusted you and you only used us as simple objects that you can use!"-
- "You are stupid! Don't let your feelings get in the way of your judgment!"- Tomura said.
- "Shut up! I don't want to hear another word from you!"- Toga said as she takes Yamikumo's side, walking until she is next to him. – "I thought the League was a family... but in reality it was all a lie on your part..."-
- "You… Traitor!"- Tomura said. – "Kill them!"-
Tomura gave orders but no one paid attention, to his surprise Dabi also goes to Yamikumo's side. – "And then what? We pretend this never happened and then you hand us over to that bastard?!"- Dabi said. – "I never liked you but I came to tolerate you... now I see that my intuition was true... you can't be trusted..."-
Tomura goes to speak but is shocked to see that Twice and Mr. Compress also go to Yamikumo's side. - "You…"- He said.
- "We weren't mentioned in that... but when will it be our turn to be the bargaining chips?"- Mr. Compress said. – "You can't be trusted."-
- "And I thought you genuinely cared about us..."- Twice said. – "Someone like you... I can't accept you as my leader!" –
- "You… All of you are traitors!"- Tomura screamed at the top of his lungs. – "Die! All of you… Die! Machia!"-
Suddenly, the wall behind Tomura is destroyed revealing Gigantomachia. – "Successor!"- He said, next to him were several members of the former Meta Liberation Army.
- "Kill all those traitors!"- Tomura ordered the entire army, Gigantomachia is the first to act and attacks them with a punch.
Yamikumo quickly attacks with a burst of fire to protect everyone, but Tomura quickly begins to disintegrate everything, blowing a large portion of the mansion into the air.
Outside the mansion everything seems calm until one side of it explodes into pieces, and from the smoke, dust and debris, hundreds of Twice clones fly out, as well as other people.
Yamikumo lands on the ground and quickly punches two enemies to get them away and then tries to run away, luckily the Twice clones give him the chance to not get caught, he still has to get away to a safe place. – "Well... that turned out better than I expected... I knew Toga and Dabi would take my side and maybe Twice, but Compress was unexpected."- Yamikumo thought. – "Still... Alpha wasn't there... he probably returned with Hiro."-
While Yamikumo is deep in thought, he does not notice that a civilian is approaching behind him. Luckily, a knife stabs the civilian in the head, saving Yamikumo. - "Hunter-kun! Over here!"- Yamikumo can see how Toga, who is being accompanied by Dabi, calls him.
Yamikumo quickly joins them in the escape attempt. – "Good to see that you are okay."- Yamikumo said.
- "You can't go five minutes without causing a mess, right?"- Dabi said while burning two people who try to attack him. – "Although... I'm glad you did it... That bastard Tomura."-
- "We still don't know where Jin-kun or Compress are!" – Toga said while stabbing another person.
- "Twice must still be alive because otherwise the clones would disappear!"- Yamikumo said while sending several people flying with his telekinesis. – "I haven't heard anything about Compress since the building blew up." –
- "That guy is good at sneaking, if he's lucky he would have managed to escape by compressing himself."- Dabi said.
Suddenly a horde of civilians attack them but are defended by a horde of Twice. – "Over here!"- A Twice said, the bad thing is that they don't know if it's the real one.
- "Are you the real one?!"- Yamikumo asked.
- "You bet!"- Twice said while showing them the bracelet that Mahoro gave him. – "I have the bracelet!"-
- "And what does that matter?"- Dabi asked.
- "Jin-kun makes clones of himself without the bracelet... the real one is the only one who has it to know that, in fact, he is the real one."- Toga said.
- "That's right, now let's go, the clones won't last long!"- Twice said to begin leading the three through the forest, managing to elude their pursuers... for now.
Meanwhile, Tomura comes out of the hole created, in his right hand he has the bloody mask of Mr. Compress. – "One less traitor... four left."- He said and then dodged a knife from a Twice clone. - "Don't get in the way!"- Tomura said hitting the clone, then in the distance he can see where Twice, Dabi, Toga and Yamikumo went.
- "You won't go after them!"- The Twice clone said as he hit Tomura.
- "You didn't disappear..."- Tomura said.
- "Of course not..."- The "clone" said and then took off his mask. – "After all I am the real one."-

Flashback.
After the explosion Twice stayed behind, luckily he managed to hide, but he knows that Tomura will not stop chasing them.
Twice quickly creates a clone of himself. – "You, go quickly and look for the others, take them to a safe place!"- He said.
- "Me? Why me?"- The clone asked. – "Why not you?"-
- "I'll stay to distract Tomura."- Twice said.
- "B-But... you're the real one... you'll die if you do that!"- The clone said. – "Why don't I distract Tomura while you escape with the others?"-
- "Tomura is very mad and a clone won't stop him from seeking revenge..."- Twice said. – "But if one of those who betrayed him, a real one, confronts him... he will forget about the others and they will be able to escape." –
- "Still... how am I going to convince others that I'm the real one?"- The clone asked.
Twice takes off the bracelet that Mahoro gave him and gives it to the clone. – "With this you will convince them... Toga-chan knows that I use this as a symbol to know that I am the real one... if she sees you with it... she will not doubt and therefore neither will the others."-
- "I… It has been an honor to be your clone!"- The clone said. – "I will make sure to fulfill the mission that has been entrusted to me!"-
- "Thank you and please..."- Twice said. – "Say goodbye to the others and thank them for being my friends."-
- "I will…"- The clone said and then left.

- "Damn traitor... I will kill you!"- Tomura said as he tries to grab Twice with his hand.
Twice ducks and dodges Tomura and then kicks him away. – "I have to buy time..."- He thought.
Tomura attacks Twice again but he jumps back, but Tomura still manages to disintegrate part of the ground causing Twice to fall when he steps on the ground. – "I got you, you dirty traitor!"- Tomura said appearing on top of Twice. – "Now die!"-
Twice watches in slow motion as Tomura's hand approaches, it's all over. – "Do you regret anything in your life?"- That question that Giran asked him a long time ago, remembering that, Jin smiles. – "No, I don't regret anything."-
Tomura's hand reaches for Jin's head. - "Guys... thank you for being my family..."- It was the last thing Jin thought before being killed by Tomura, because of this little by little the clones began to disappear.

Meanwhile, Yamikumo, Dabi, Toga and the Twice clone walk away from the battlefield, however the Twice clone stops. – "So… this is as far as I get…"- He thought.
- "Jin-kun! Are you okay?"- Toga asked. – "Come on! We have to keep going!"-
- "I'm sorry Toga-chan... but that's as far as I'm going..."- The clone said as he begins to melt into mud.
- "Wait... you... you're a clone."- Dabi said.
- "Yes... I tried to persuade the real one to escape with you but..." – He said. - "He was too persistent..."-
- "Don't tell me he..."- Yamikumo said.
- "To give you time to escape... Tomura had to be distracted and a clone wouldn't have stopped him long enough..."- The clone said.
- "No... this is not true!"- Toga said. – "Jin-kun can't die!"-
- "Toga-chan... I'm sorry."- The clone said.
Toga hugs the clone, refusing to let him die. – "Please… don't!"- She said.
Yamikumo and Dabi don't say anything, however their sadness is evident. – "Twice… Why?"- Dabi thought while clenching his fists helplessly. – "Why did it have to be you?!"-
- "No! Don't die please!"- Toga said.
- "Toga-chan... Dabi... even you... Atanagi-kun... you accepted me despite my problems."- The clone said, about to disappear forever. – "Thanks for everything..."- After these last words, the clone will disappear completely, leaving only the bracelet that Mahoro gave to Twice.
Toga falls to her knees, completely in shock and disbelief. – "Jin-kun…"- She said.
Yamikumo tries to approach her but is stopped by Dabi. – "I'll do it."- Dabi walks up to Toga and grabs her shoulder, she sees him. – "Toga... we have to go... Jin sacrificed himself so that we can escape... let's not let his sacrifice be in vain... we will cry for him later."-
Toga looks down, she understands, she has to go, she won't let Jin-kun's sacrifice be in vain, drying her tears, Toga takes Twice's bracelet and stands up.
Dabi looks at Yamikumo and nods, Yamikumo nods back and continues on his way, Dabi takes Toga's hand. – "Let's go…" - He said and they both follow Yamikumo, however they don't leave each other's hand.

Back with Tomura, all of Twice's clones have disappeared.
- "I'm sorry Tomura... but it seems that the others escaped."- Re-Destro said.
Tomura doesn't say anything and just turns around to re-enter what's left of the mansion. - "They'll be Hiro's problem now."- He said. – "Garaki… are you still alive?"-
- "Yes…"- Garaki said.
- "Good."- Tomura said. – "Tell me something... that power you were talking about... is it ready?"-
Garaki smiles. - "Yes, it's ready."- He said.

I told you that this chapter will be a very important turning point in the story.
Many things happened, we finally have why Yamikumo joined the league... to track down Hiro, we will know more about that in future chapters.

Dabi, Toga and Yamikumo are now alone.
Now these three will embark on their final mission... kill Hiro once and for all!
But they won't be alone! Two other people will join them, one of them is quite obvious who is *cough* Lady Nagant *cough* but the other will be a surprise.
But for that you will have to wait since the next arc will focus on Izumi and her progress with One for All now that all the previous holders are helping her.
It will be a short arc, but important.
After that we will return to Yamikumo and his group.
