Chapter 67.
Internship with Endeavor.
- "Welcome to the Endeavor Hero Agency!"- Endeavor said with a smile as he greeted Izumi and Shoto, but then he changes his face to his normal frown. – "Of course, as if I were that kind."-
At that, his gaze falls on Izumi. – "I'm going to be clear, I only accepted because Shoto asked me and because you are his friend."- Endeavor said. – "But to be honest I would have preferred Shoto to come alone."-
- "You accepted, so stop complaining."- Shoto said.
- "Thank you for accepting me as an intern!"- Izumi quickly said. – "I can't wait to learn a lot from you!"-
Endeavor just watches Izumi and then turns around to start walking, Shoto and Izumi following behind him. – "It seems that Shoto is not like me..."- Endeavor whispered but Izumi could hear him.
Suddenly Endeavor jumps towards the bottom lane and lights his flames to fly at high speed. – "Unfortunately I have no plans to worry about anyone other than Shoto."- Endeavor said. – "If you want to learn from me, watch from behind!"-
Endeavor looks back and is surprised to see Shoto and Izumi following him. – "Instructions please!"- Izumi said as she takes one of her Air Force gloves out of her briefcase and puts it on.
- "Watch from behind!"- Endeavor said.
Meanwhile, a villain is causing chaos in the city, said villain is an elderly man, with wrinkles on his face, a slim body, a large white beard, and seems to have a constant nosebleed. His eyes lack pupils, being completely blank, accentuating his prophet appearance.
He wears clothes that resemble a mix between a magician and a monk. He wears a dark and disheveled cloak with light clothes underneath, bracelets on his wrists, and on his head, he wears a tall, cylindrical cap with a piece of cloth on the back.
- "The evil stars are conspiring; we must stop them at all costs!"- The villain, Starservant, said. – "This land will be consumed by darkness!"- Suddenly all the glass from the buildings are gathered into a sphere above the villain.
Starservant.
Quirk: Glass Manipulation.
Starservant's Quirk allows him to control and reshape large amounts of glass. He is also able to modify its consistency and alter it from a solid state to a liquid state and vice versa.
The glass sphere grows to a large size. – "Go on! Servants of Hades!"- Starservant said as he throws the crystal sphere at several civilians.
However, something hits the sphere. - "Flashfire Fist!"- Endeavor said while destroying the sphere. – "You seem quite skilled old man... but you dared to do something during my watch!"-
- "Endeavor!"- Starservant said while trying to escape from Endeavor through an alley.
Endeavor wastes no time and follows him, what he doesn't know is that on the other side of the alleys other villains allied with Starservant are waiting for him.
- "Now! Attack!"- Starservant said.
As soon as Endeavor leaves the alley he is ambushed by four guys allied to Starservant, however they are all stopped by Izumi and Shoto, Izumi traps two of them with Black Whip and Shoto freezes the other two.
Thanks to this assistance Endeavor easily reaches Starservant and immobilizes him.
After capturing the villain, the police arrived to take charge of the transfer to prison. – "We'll take care of this from now on."- The police officer said.
- "Thank you."- Endeavor said.
- "It appears there were no injured."- The police officer said. – "The city is safe wherever your light shines."-
- "Thanks…"- Endeavor said.
- "It seems I'm late... you already resolved everything."- Hawks said arriving at the scene as the police leave.
– "H-Hawks!"- Izumi said. – "I'm Izumi Midoriya, nice to meet you!"-
- "Yes, the girl who fought the hero killer."- Hawks said. – "Tokoyami-kun told me a lot about you."-
- "Speaking of which... what happened to Tokoyami-kun? Isn't he your agency?"- Izumi asked.
- "I sent him to volunteer in his hometown."- Hawks said. – "My schedule has been very busy lately."-
- "Speaking of which... what are you doing here, Hawks?"- Endeavor asked.
- "It's not exactly work related but..."- Hawks said as he pulls out a book, the Meta Liberation War book. – "Have you read this book?"-
- "Meta Liberation War…"- Izumi reads the title of the book.
- "Man, it's incredible!"- Hawks said. – "Although it is a fairly old book, it predicts our current society! If you don't have time, just take a look at the parts I highlighted!" –
- "What are you trying to say?"- Endeavor asked.
- "What Destro was looking for is the ultimate society! One where people were responsible for themselves!"- Hawks said. – "If that happens Endeavor, we will both have a lot of free time!"-
- "Something is not right…"- Endeavor thought while seeing Hawks face. – "Why is he so serious?"-
- "Please take the time to read it."- Hawks said while Endeavor takes the book.
- "A book recommended by number 2! I want to read it too!"- Izumi said. – "Maybe the secret of his speed is among those pages!"-
- "Secret between the pages?"- Endeavor thought as he heard Izumi's words, that's when he looks at Hawks who hands a couple of copies of the book to Izumi and Shoto.
- "If you're interested I have a ton of copies of the book!"- Hawks said.
- "I see... you probably can't talk openly..."- Endeavor thought.
- "He must really love the book...he has a lot."- Shoto said.
- "He probably keeps several so he can distribute them!"- Izumi said.
- "Exactly Midoriya-chan!"- Hawks said. – "It's a very interesting book, at least try to read the parts I highlighted!"-
- "I will."- Endeavor said.
- "Great!"- Hawks said. – "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go!"-
Without further ado, Hawks flies away.
- "Despite being so young, he has a very different vision of the world..."- Izumi said. – "He's 22, you know?"-
- "He's only six years older than us..."- Shoto said.
- "I see... but before I focus on this there is something else I need to do... in the meantime…"- Endeavor thought and then looked at Shoto and Izumi. – "Alright, it's time to go."-

- "Welcome to the Endeavor Hero Agency!"- A woman said welcoming the interns.
Said girl, Moe Kamiji, is a young woman who has big red-orange eyes and pointy teeth. Her most distinguishable feature is her long, flaming yellowish-green hair, with two bangs on each side, and a wider bang going from the center of her forehead to the right. The ends of her fingers are also notably pointed.
She wears a light-gray double-breasted mini dress with orange and black lining and slits on both sides of the skirt. Her collar, belt, and wrist guards are black with a smaller orange line, and the silver buttons resemble flat-headed screws. She also wears a belt with a temperature gauge on the front and a fire extinguisher on the back, black knee-high socks, and short black boots. Her mask is black, similar to that of Katsuki Bakugo, and is connected to a red headband.
- "We are the Flaming Sidekickers!"- Three other people said.
- "Hello Burnin."- Shoto said to the woman.
- "It's the famous Sidekick Burnin!"- Izumi thought.
- "We'll put you to work right away! But as you can see we have many people here!"- Burnin said. – "In other words, there is no place where you can be useful!"-
- "The same goes for you Shoto!"- Another of the sidekicks, Onima, said. – "Don't get too comfortable just because you're Endeavor's son!"-
- "They are a pretty lively group..."- Izumi said.
Just then Endeavor leaves his office. - "Shoto, Deku... Get ready because during your internships I will be in charge of training you two."- Endeavor said. – "But before that I want to know more about you... what do you want to achieve here?"-
- "I want to be stronger!"- Izumi said. – "Lately I've discovered new aspects about my quirk and I need to be stronger to master them!"-
- "Yes... I'm aware."- Endeavor said. – "Before you were just punches and kicks... now I've seen those black whips and I guess there are more new things."-
- "Yes! I have learned to stay in the air using my quirk, doing various things and using the inertia and power of my quirk I can stay in the air indefinitely giving the illusion of floating!"- Izumi said. – "I have also found a way to use the kinetic energy that my body generates when using my quirk at high speeds to increase my speed even more... but I still need more practice to master it!"-
- "That is too much! You say it so fast that I didn't understand anything!"- Burnin said.
- "I see... in short you are looking for a way to master the new applications you have found for your Quirk."- Endeavor said.
- "Exactly!"- Izumi said.
- "Alright, it's time to work!"- Endeavor said.
- "What about me?"- Shoto asked. – "Aren't you going to ask me too?"-
- "You want to learn Flashfire Fist, don't you?"- Endeavor asked.
- "Partly yes, but I also want to detach myself from your desires and embark on my path as a hero."- Shoto said.
- "Very well."- Endeavor said. – "I will train you both as heroes."-

- "Rescue, evacuation and containment."- Endeavor said as he, along with Izumi and Shoto, patrol. – "They are the three fundamental requirements of every hero."-
- "Generally other agencies focus solely on rescue and containment."- Burnin said. – "But this agency is not the same!"-
- "Memorize every last detail about your jurisdiction, arrive faster than anyone else and minimize damage."- Endeavor said. – "These are the basics, always stay calm and be insightful. When the internships end this will be natural for you."-
The patrol continues until lunchtime where the three are on top of a building eating.
- "Shoto... you are already halfway to achieving your goal."- Endeavor said while eating a donut. – "First we will work on concentrating your power, try to take the mental image when using your ice and apply it to your fire."-
- "Understood."- Shoto said while eating instant soup.
- "Deku, the new applications of your quirk, you already know how to do them..."- Endeavor said. – "But what you need is practice in real situations, in practice it is easy but you need real situations to be able to use them easily."-
- "Yes sir!"- Izumi said while eating a sweet bread.
Just then a scream catches their attention and on the street they can see a couple of people kidnapping a man.
- "Looks like it's time to get into practice!"- Endeavor said as he begins to fly chasing the van in which the people are trying to escape.
- "Right behind you sir!"- Izumi said while using black whip and float to follow Endeavor.
For his part, Shoto doesn't say anything but follows Endeavor and Izumi surfing with his ice.
- "Shit, Endeavor is following us!"- One of the kidnappers said.
Both kidnappers interestingly wear the same jacket, gray with a wolf paw logo on the back.
- "I can see that!"- The co-pilot said as he climbs onto the roof of the truck. – "Die!"- The guy said while shooting several bullet-shaped crystals from the palms of his hand.
Endeavor quickly fires a burst of fire to destroy the bullets, he then hits the ground with his fist and releases fire which melts the tires of the truck, forcing it to stop.
Just then three more people, wearing the same jacket, emerge from the back of the truck. – "So there are more people..."- Endeavor said.
The three people try to attack Endeavor but are frozen by Shoto while the pilot and co-pilot are caught by Izumi with Blackwhip.
Endeavor quickly frees the kidnapped person. – "You okay?"- He asked.
- "Yes, thank you!"- The man said.
A few minutes later the police and doctors arrive, the doctors to check the victim and the police to take the kidnappers away.
- "You three will regret getting into our business!"- One of the kidnapers said. – "You are marked!"-
- "Yes of course... now get in the car!"- The police officer said.
Endeavor doesn't react, at first he thinks it's just a typical threat from all villains, but then he notices the symbol on the guy's jacket. – "The wolf pack!"- He thought. – "Sh*t this isn't good."-
- "Good job Todoroki-kun!"- Izumi said to Shoto.
- "I'm Shoto."- Shoto said. – "Remember... we are working."-
- "Right…"- Izumi said.
- "This is not good...they just got marked by the wolf pack."- Endeavor thought.
After this incident the rest of the day was just patrolling.

Endeavor Agency.
Endeavor is in his office, it is already night and Izumi and Shoto are sleeping in the agency's rooms, however Endeavor thinks about what he is going to do. – "There is no other option... I will have to take them with me."- Endeavor thought and then took his phone and dials someone. – "Hello... do you remember the group we talked about? I think it's time to act."-
Meanwhile, Izumi can't sleep. – "Hey… Todoroki-kun."- She whispered to him. – "Are you awake?"-
- "Now I am."- Shoto said.
- "Sorry…"- Izumi said.
- "It's okay…"- Shoto said. – "Do you want to talk about something? Or did you just wake me up for fun?"-
- "I... I just can't sleep..."- Izumi said.
- "Is there any particular reason for that?"- Shoto asked.
- "It is just that..."- Izumi said. – "I miss Atanagi-kun..."-
- "I can imagine... not being able to see your brother whom you had already gotten used to be with."- Shoto said.
- "I'm still not used to you knowing that..."- Izumi said.
- "I didn't do it on purpose..."- Shoto said.
- "I know…"- Izumi said. – "Still it feels good to be able to talk to someone about this..."-
- "How are you handling it?"- Shoto asked.
- "I try not to think about that..."- Izumi said. – "But his absence is felt..."-

- "It's because Toya is no longer with us."- Shoto said.
Izumi is surprised by that. - "I'm… I'm sorry…"- Izumi said. – "You don't have to tell it if you don't want to."-
Shoto was silent for a few seconds. - "You trusted me with the secret of Atanagi being your brother, even if it was by accident, it is only fair that I tell you about my brother."- He said. – "I won't go into much detail but he was the first of all of us... he was born with flames much more powerful than my father's... unfortunately his body was not made to withstand the heat of his flames."-
- "What happened to him?"- Izumi asked. – "If you don't mind telling it, of course."-
- "Well, what do you imagine... his quirk got out of control... the only thing left of him was his jaw."- Shoto said.
- "I'm sorry Todoroki-kun."- Izumi said.
- "Thanks…"- Shoto said. – "It felt good to tell this to someone, thanks."-
Izumi doesn't answer which confuses Shoto who looks at where Izumi is… She's sleeping.
- "In the end she fell asleep..."- He said to go back to sleep, but now he is the one who can't. – "Dammit…" –

Next day.
Another day has arrived and now Izumi and Shoto are with Endeavor at his agency, apparently they are waiting for someone.
- "What are we doing?"- Shoto asked.
- "We are waiting for some people."- Endeavor said.
- "Yes, I know that, I mean why?" – Shoto asked.
Endeavor thinks for a moment. - "Anyway, you're going to find out... a long time ago a group of people called the Wolf Pack appeared."- Endeavor said. – "At first we did not take them seriously until we discovered that it is a group made up of many people, more than 100 people are part of this group."-
- "The wolf pack... any reason for that name?"- Izumi asked.
- "It's because of their leader, it has a quirk that gives it the abilities of a wolf."- Endeavor said. – "But that's not the worst... we recently discovered a horrible fact about them..."-
- "And what is it about?"- Shoto asked.
- "They are a cannibal group."- Endeavor said. – "They consume human flesh from people they kidnap themselves."-
- "That's horrible!"- Izumi said, it made her want to throw up by just thinking about it.
- "The group of people who were arrested yesterday were part of that group."- Endeavor said.
- "So if we hadn't interrupted... the guy they kidnapped..."- Shoto said.
- "He would have been turned into their food."- Endeavor said. - "Lately I have been working with some heroes to find their hideout and their leaders and we have finally found them."-
- "And why are we here?"- Shoto asked.
- "I originally postponed this until the internship was over, but because of what happened yesterday you have been marked as enemies of the wolf pack."- Endeavor said. – "So I have decided to put an end to all this once and for all and you will help."-
- "Just like the Yakuza raid…"- Izumi said.
- "Right... I had forgotten that you participated in that... and defeated Overhaul."- Endeavor said. – "So you already have experience, just do the same thing you did there and you will be fine."-
- "Yes sir!"- Izumi said.
- "In your case, Shoto, I hope you're okay because this will be your first mission as a hero!"- Endeavor said.
- "I'm ready."- Shoto said.
- "I hope you know how to follow orders."- Endeavor said. – "This is different from anything you have done before, you will not only be working with me, but you will also be working alongside other heroes, if a hero gives you an order you must follow it, understood?"-
- "Yes, I understand."- Shoto said. – "Why are you only saying this to me and not Deku?"-
- "Because as she already mentioned, Deku already has experience in these situations, she was in the raid against the Yakuza."- Endeavor said. – "She already knows what to do, I hope you follow her example."-
- "Fine…"- Shoto said.
At that moment the doors of Endeavor's agency open and several heroes enter, among them several of the top ones such as Edgeshot, Mirko, Crust and Kamui as well as others such as Majestic, Erasehead, Native among others.
However, the appearance of a certain person who is not a professional hero was what surprised Izumi.

It's only been two days since I posted the last chapter but it doesn't matter, today I came inspired!
We continue with this small arc.
As I said, this arc will be short and simple and will only serve to show off Izumi's abilities.
The wolf pack is a group created by me for this story but it will have more importance in the final arc.
Besides, I didn't want to adapt the third movie because I was too lazy.
