Chapter 78.
Yamikumo vs Hiro round 2.
Yamikumo is lying on the ground, blood running down his face, especially over his right eye. – "Yami…"- Alpha said while looking at Yamikumo's body. – "How come you..."-
- "How did I survive? Simple, I'm tougher than I seem."- Hiro said. – "This guy caused me a lot of problems... it's time to put an end to this."-
Hiro approaches Yamikumo's body and prepares to stab him, but suddenly, to his surprise, his arm is stopped by Alpha. – "What do you think you're doing?!" –
- "I…"- Alpha said with doubt but then a memory comes to his head.
It is Yamikumo, a 4-year-old Yamikumo, his face is bloody, due to the wound in his right eye.
- "Brother...why does it hurt?"-
Alpha's right eye widens, the memories return one by one, little by little Alpha's grip becomes stronger.
- "Alpha! Let me go!"- Hiro ordered. – "You're usele…"-
Hiro didn't finish speaking as Alpha hit him in the stomach with his robotic arm. – "My name is not Alpha!"- He said and then hit Hiro with a punch in the face and sent him flying. – "My name is Zack and I will do whatever it takes to protect my little brother!"-
- "What the f*ck?!"- Hiro thought with surprise. – "He's not supposed to hit me! He's not supposed to hit me! Don't tell me that he managed to overcome indoctrination."-
Alpha, reverting to being Zack, attacks Hiro with several chains that sprout from his back but Hiro dodges the chains and then throws a knife at Zack who deflects it with his robotic arm, then Zack shoots several thorns at Hiro who dodges them.
- "How did he overcome indoctrination?"- Hiro asks himself. – "It is the first time this has happened."-
Zack draws his sword and begins to attack Hiro. – "I won't forgive what you made me do to my little brother!"- The sword blows are uncoordinated and easy to dodge, which Hiro does, but little by little Zack manages to gain ground and gradually overtake Hiro and almost cut him in the chest.
- "He is adapting quickly..."- Hiro thought as he dodges Zack's sword.
Hiro punches Zack in the face but Zack doesn't feel anything thanks to the Placebo quirk. – "You turned me into this... Now you will have to face your creation!"- Zack said as he continues his attack on Hiro.
- "You are a bother..."- Hiro said as he took Zack by the arm and slammed him to the ground. – "We're on the roof, so if I throw him from here to the ground he'll be knocked out, placebo can go to hell, whether he dies or not doesn't matter."-
Zack gets up from the ground as if it were nothing and charges again at Hiro who jumps back to avoid Zack and then kicks him in the jaw which, even though Zack did not feel the pain, made him retreat. – "Why isn't he using the sand?"- Zack thought in confusion since there is quite a bit of sand on the ground and Hiro hasn't used it. – "What are you up to, Hiro?"-
Now it is Hiro who charges at Zack, attacking Zack with multiple kicks and punches, who defends himself but does not notice that little by little they both retreat towards the edge of the roof. – "I got you!"- Hiro said as he hit Zack in the chest and sent him flying and starting to fall from the ceiling. – "Goodbye!"- Hiro said mockingly.
Hiro turns around and does not notice that Zack used his chains to avoid falling by embedding himself in the wall of the building, Zack uses his chains to propel himself and climb back up to the roof as well as launch himself against Hiro.
Hiro, out of pure instinct, turns around and is slightly surprised to see Zack, yet he calmly extends his right hand towards Zack, unexpectedly, Hiro's hand begins to glow and a beam of light is shot at Zack, exploding upon impact. – "In the end I had to use it..."- Hiro said to himself but then he notices something, when he looks to the right he can see Zack, unharmed by the shot, next to him is... Yamikumo, who is the one who saved him. – "You…"-
Zack looks at Yamikumo's back in surprise. – "Yami…"- He said.
- "I'm glad to know you're back..."- Yamikumo looks at his brother with a sincere smile. – "Welcome back, brother."-
Zack is about to respond, but seeing Yamikumo's face he becomes worried. – "Yami... Your eye..."- Zack said.
- "I know…"- Yamikumo said.
Although Hiro's attack did not fatally damage him, the attack injured his face and he now has a vertical wound on the right side of his face, his right eye, the one his brother gave him, being destroyed in the process.
- "That's not what's important right now."- Yamikumo said.
- "But… your eye!"- Zack said.
- "It doesn't exist anymore, but that doesn't matter, if losing my eyes means having you back, then it was worth it."- Yamikumo said. – "The important thing now is to finish this guy off."-
- "The real question is how did this guy survive your attack?"- Zack said. – "I'm sure you were done with him, but it seems he's harder than we thought."-
- "No…He died... He simply came back to life."- Yamikumo said.
- "Wow, it looks like you figured it out."- Hiro said.
- "It's not hard once you see that..."- Yamikumo said while pointing at something on the ground.
On the ground there is what appears to be a human body, Hiro's to be more precise, but the interesting thing is that it seems broken, as if something had come out of it. – "That's how you revive, isn't it?"- Yamikumo asked.
Hiro smiles. – "Indeed, that is my original quirk."- He said.
Chairman Hiro.
Quirk: Resurrection cocoon.
Hiro's quirk allows him, once he dies, to return to life by breaking his body and being reborn with a new one, like a cocoon.
The quirk has a limited number of lives, if the limit of resurrections is reached the next time Hiro will die permanently, the lives lost cannot be recovered.
- "So... How was he able to manipulate the sand?"- Zack asked. – "Or how did he shoot that beam of light?"-
- "Since that idiot killed me..."- Yamikumo said while pointing at Yamikumo. – "I made sure to experiment on myself to make sure every time I revive I do it with an additional quirk."-
- "But every time you revive, that extra quirk is replaced by another, isn't it?" – Yamikumo said. – "That's why you can't manipulate the sand anymore."-
- "You are very smart... and you are right, but that doesn't matter."- Hiro said and then fired a beam of light at Zack and Yamikumo. – "You will both die!" –
Acting quickly, Yamikumo creates a wall of fire to protect himself and Zack from the attack, Zack quickly uses his chains to attack Hiro who fires several beams of light from his hands against the chains, destroying them.
Without Hiro realizing it, Yamikumo approaches Hiro and kicks him in the leg, this makes Hiro distracted and that gives Zack time to punch Hiro in the face, then Yamikumo punches him in the chest, Hiro tries to shoot Yamikumo but Zack kicks him in the arm, now Hiro tries to shoot Yamikumo. Zack but Yamikumo hits him in the face.
This is repeated several times, Hiro trying to attack either Zack or Yamikumo but the other hits him before that, Zack hits him in the chest, Yamikumo in the face, Zack in the stomach, Yamikumo in the arm, after several blows, Hiro falls to the ground but manages to attack Yamikumo with a beam of light, knocking him down.
Zack attacks Hiro with several thorns fired but Hiro dodges the thorns and shoots at Zack, wounding him in the chest, Zack does not retreat and charges at Hiro, Hiro tries to shoot at Zack, but he grabs his hand and turns it around so that Hiro shoots himself in the face. Hiro steps back and Zack hits him several times until he has him against the wall, then he pulls out his sword and tries to stab Hiro.
Hiro stops Zack's arm and they both begin to struggle, little by little the sword gets closer but Hiro takes a syringe from his pockets and injects its contents into Zack who suddenly begins to feel pain. – "Placebo has not yet reached its limit... what is happening?"- Zack thought.
- "Overhaul created a very interesting drug!"- Hiro said. – "Say goodbye to the quirks we gave you!"-
Zack is surprised and Hiro takes the opportunity to destroy Zack's robotic arm with a beam of light, which causes Zack to recoil and fall to his knees. – "The drug is only the temporary version... Tomura kept the full version."- Zack thought as he shoots a beam of light at Zack, knocking him down. – "I'll kill him before he gets his quirks back..."-
Hiro was about to finish off Zack but Yamikumo arrives and tackles Hiroo to get him away from Zack, then grabs Hiro by the shirt, lifts him up and then slams him to the ground.
Yamikumo tries to hit Hiro but he shoots a beam of light at him, which knocks him away. – "What a hassle..."- Hiro said to himself and then he launches himself at Yamikumo and attacks him with a beam of light, but Yamikumo uses his fire to get away from Hiro and then throws a fireball at him.
Hiro destroys the fireball and charges at Yamikumo. As they face each other, they attack each other with their quirks, fire against light, they both struggle against each other for several seconds, after struggling for a while the attacks cancel each other out and Yamikumo quickly tackles Hiro against the wall and begins to hit him several times.
Yamikumo continues his barrage of fire punches as Hiro stops his fist with his hand. – "My turn."- Hiro hits Yamikumo's stomach with his knee and then punches him in the face, then grabs Yamikumo's shirt and then shoots a beam of light at Yamikumo's stomach and makes him fall to the ground several meters in front of him.
- "You know… Now I see why people like to fight."- Hiro said. – "Come on, get up! I want to win this properly! By my own hands and in a worthy fight!"-
Yamikumo stands up and then takes off his jacket, which was already somewhat destroyed. – "As you wish… Chairman Hiro."-
- "Red Flare! / White Flash!" –
They both attack each other, Yamikumo with a burst of fire and Hiro with a beam of light, both attacks collide, both begin a struggle of attacks which lasts several seconds.
The struggle is even until Hiro feels something stick into the side of his body, it is Zack who stuck a small piece of his sword into him, the only thing that survived from his sword in fact. – "Don't meddle in this!"- Hiro kicks Zack and pushes him away, however this distracted him and Yamikumo took advantage of this not only to end the struggle of attacks, but also approached Hiro and delivered a strong fiery punch to his face, making Hiro fall into the fire with several burns on the face.
Hiro steps back and wipes the blood that fell from his nose. – "When will you get tired?!"- Hiro asked as he watches as Yamikumo lights his arms on fire.
- "Until I see you in a damn coffin!"- Yamikumo said and then propelled himself with a burst of fire at full speed with his fire towards Hiro, this gave him great speed which did not give Hiro time to react. – "Final Flame!"-
Yamikumo unleashes a gigantic fire attack, similar but a little smaller than the one he used to defeat Nine, which drags Hiro until he crashes into a concrete cube on the ceiling, burning Hiro to death.
After a while, Yamikumo lets go of the attack, letting Hiro's dead body fall to the ground. – "You did it!"- Zack said.
- "No… This isn't over yet."- Yamikumo said as he watches Hiro's lifeless body begin to crack and a completely healed Hiro emerges from it. – "I knew it…"-
- "Are you ready for Round 3? - Hiro asks sarcastically.
- "Damn... it's going to be impossible to finish him off..."- Zack said.
- "It's not impossible... your quirk must have a limit, all quirks have it."- Yamikumo said, ready to continue fighting. – "We just have to spend all his lives until he can't come back to life again."-
- "You're right about that."- Hiro said. – "But what will happen first? Will I reach my limit? Or will you succumb to fatigue before that?"-
- "I see... so that's what you're trying to do... if he keeps coming back to life we'll get tired before we beat him... we have to avoid prolonging the fights and finish them all quickly, only then we won't get so tired."- Yamikumo thought as he and Zack stood shoulder to shoulder. – "There's only one way to find out." –
The fight is not over yet.

Another chapter finished and yeah.
Second part between Yamikumo and Hiro's fight, this time with Zack back and helping Yamikumo.
I know the chapter is quite short, but it's better this way since I prefer this to going on too long and having it ruin the chapter.
Many things are revealed about Hiro, first how he survived or rather, revived after his death in the escape from Hell arc, and we also see why he is quite strong.
Little by little we are reaching the final stretch of the arc and the story as well, there are only two chapters left for the arc to conclude and for us to start with the final arc.
The next chapter will be the conclusion of the fight between Dabi and Yuki where we will learn many things, after that we will have the last part of Yamikumo's confrontation against Hiro and with that the end of the arc.
And after that we will fully enter the final arc, which is going to be long, as I mentioned before.
