We continue.
Goku's help has proven very significant in the hunt for the dragon balls as for now, they have retrieved the 4 and 2-star dragon balls and are on their way to another one seemingly located on a strange island what will they find there? Well, you'll have to continue reading to find out.
Age 749 (Dragon ball hunt.)
Goku giggled giddily as he ran ahead of the now exasperated Bulma the heiress of capsule Corp watched the Saiyan interact with damn near everything he found interesting.
"Ever heard of curiosity killed the cat?" Bulma asked wearily.
"Curiosity? I bet I can beat him in a fight!"
Bulma sighed in annoyance at the Goku's ignorance but Bulma knew the reason why Goku was like this.
(Flashback.)
Goku stood triumphantly on top of a mountain with a now dead dinosaur collapsed on the floor beside him.
"How am I still alive?" Bulma mused as she panted from after the long trek and being chased by a dinosaur.
"Hurry up slow poke!" Goku said sticking his tongue out teasingly before he ran inside the small house Bulma quickly followed scared of being caught out by herself.
"Ta-Da! This is where I live!" Goku said proudly gesturing around the room.
'Not much of a place here' Bulma thought as she looked around the small cottage "Then again I do live in a giant mansion so who am I to judge the less fortunate?
"So what do you think? My Grandpa built this!"
"Grandpa where is he?" Bulma asked curiously after all what parental figure would leave a child all on his own?
"Oh he's dead." Goku said casually.
"Wait what? When how and where are your actual parents?" Bulma replied concerned.
"I've never met my parents as for when he died well... I still don't know what happened that night." Goku finished the last part solemnly before reverting back to his childlike innocence as he ran around the house looking for something it seemed.
'Guess I shouldn't be that surprised kids don't mourn for very long they just can't grasp what death truly means but now I have more questions.'
"Goku do you know what a school is?"
"Martial arts school?" Goku replied uncertainly.
"No like a school where you learn like math and science and English?" Bulma said.
"Nope never heard of that I've never left Mt Paozu actually."
"That explains it." Bulma thought before she started walking around the house scanning shelfs curiously until she saw something far more interesting than anything else.
"Wait is that a dragon ball?!"
(Flashback end.)
So that happened and after finding out it was an old relic of his Grandpa's she convinced him to let her borrow it since she was in a hunt for them in exchange for Goku accompanying her and honestly it has been a win win for her she would have died a long time ago if it weren't for the small warrior being around.
The hunt for the dragon balls hadn't been so bad thus far but she had a feeling things were only going to get tricker from here.
"Hey Bulma?" Goku asked snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Yes Goku?"
"Where's the next dragon ball at?"
"We've been over this Goku its on an island!"
"Then let's go!"
Bulma sighed "Patience Goku we need to-" Goku then flew past her on Nimbus
"Stick together."
Age 749 Themyscira (this will also show one of the first examples of changing ages of characters to benefit the story.)
The mystical island was created thousands of years ago due to their concern that without worshippers the Olympians would cease to exist at least most of them along with the inhabitants of the island the Amazonians a warrior race made entirely of women and some of the last worshippers of the Greek pantheon and were created to be a shining beacon to mankind but due to many conflicts at some point the Amazonians have lived in isolation bearing a hatred towards the "world of man" and now live in a paradise yet isolated and stuck in old times.
The young Amazonian Princess Diana and one of her Amazonian Sisters Aleka clashed with their training swords countering each other's blows with surprising proficiency despite their relatively young ages they jumped back before both shouting in defiance charging at one another and engaging in a flurry of blows before ultimately Diana's superior and overwhelming strength won out sending Aleka crashing away.
Aleka got up with a scowl "You haven't won this yet!"
"To me it looks like you've already lost." Diana replied haughtily.
Aleka grit her teeth and charged her opponent once again they crossed blades once again Aleka's strikes were rushed and heavy due to her mixture of fatigue and anger whilst Diana's were precise and swift resulting in her easily dismantling her opponent before knocking her to the ground with a leg sweep.
"Hey no fair!" Aleka whined as she tried to get up again but Diana kept her down.
"Fighting isn't about playing fair Aleka." Diana replied calmly.
"Leg sweeps are dishonourable!" Aleka insisted angerily.
Diana smirked at her fallen opponents anger before asking "Do you yield?" her tone slightly mocking.
"Never!" Aleka snarled in defiance a determined look on her face she would not be bested like this again she thought, she then grimaced and threw Diana off with surprising strength but Diana quickly turned on her feet and charged again knocking Aleka down with force before pointing her practice sword at her again.
"I said do you yield."
Aleka sighed in defeat "Fine but just you wait I'll surpass you soon enough."
Diana scoffed "I would like to see you try!"
As they continued arguing an older Amazonian came to break up the argument before it escalated anymore the Amazonian then said "Princess Diana your mum requests your presence immediately"
Diana nodded while Aleka flashed a frown then she whispered to Diana "This isn't finished" Diana whispered back "Wasn't planning on it" Before being escorted to see her mother Queen Hippolyta.
(A bit later)
"What is it mum?" Diana asked hoping deep down it wasn't what she thought it was.
"Well my child you are starting to reach a more... mature age."
"Mum I'm ten." Diana responded dryly.
"Boys also begun to mature at this age as well and some may try and sway you away from us and corrupt you like they've done to so many others,"
"Mum!" Diana said indignantly blushing in embarrassment.
"Well darling its a true fact of nature I'm merely trying to warn you before-"
"You never let me off the island to interact with anyone regardless plus if anyone try's to take advantage of me I can probably handle them," Diana finished the last part confidently.
"I've told you before man's world isn't just comprised of weak humans powerful magicians warriors and monsters inhabit the world." Hippolyta said sternly.
Diana smirked "They'll be nothing to me."
Hippolyta frowned annoyed "Confidence is one thing but your being blatantly cocky especially considering there's always a stronger opponent."
"How will I know that if I can't leave this blasted island!"
"You mean the paradise the gods so graciously gifted us? Your privileged to have lived such a life style mans world is ridden with poverty you could have grown up lonely and starving!"
Diana sighed "Its always mans world with you isn't!" She then began to storm off.
"You come back here!"
Diana however ignored her and continued to stomp away in a childlike tantrum.
(After the conversation)
Diana sighed in annoyance such mundane conversations bored her, especially when they tended to boil down to "the evils of man's world".
like she understood the importance of the warnings but at least the old conversations were interesting stories of the wars and turmoil mankind caused but when it come to the greed, pride or god forbid lust of mankind well she hardly thought it noteworthy.
After all why talk about it when she could experience the treacherous world herself and prove herself worthy of being an Amazonian warrior.
As she further walked around the border of the island the Amazonian paused sensing movement on the shore she leaped up to see a small entity no boy! An invader now? Diana thought I'd be in for more than I planned.
Age 749 (Themyscira Goku's pov)
Wow, this island is rather beautiful, the Saiyan thought as he stepped foot on the new island.
Goku frowned "Where's the dinosaurs or any large creatures for that matter, oh well Bulma said the next dragon ball would be here." So he continued keep looking while thinking about what had happened earlier 'Perhaps running off from her wasn't very smart idea.' He giggled as he remembered Bulmas annoyed yelling when he ran off to the island then all of a sudden he heard a loud yell from the trees and soon a flying kick connected to his face the young boy quickly spun around to land on his feet and size up his foe.
He saw a girl around his age but quite a bit taller clad in armor and ready for battle she had dark hair and striking blue eyes the Saiyan looked dopey in comparison but he didn't know
"What was that for?" Goku asked the only answer the young girl gave was very unrevealing of anything "Leave intruder or prepare to face the consequences!"
The Saiyan much to Diana's Pleasure took a battle stance 'I'd been waiting to fight someone else today.' she smirked a readied her stance then the two younglings charged each other.
The Saiyan's power pole struck to meet Diana's sword much to both of their surprises their power speed and skill were relatively well matched as Goku parried a swing from her sword she launched a leg sweep as she went for a punch Goku's tail caught her arm their martial arts prowess was impressive, to say the least.
"Your not bad for a boy" Diana commended.
"Uh thanks?" Goku replied confused.
"But clearly stupid," Diana added when the Saiyan missed the undertones insult.
"What's clearly stupid?"
"Point proven."
And so the fight continued Diana's slight edge in strength shone through landing a clean blow to his face and continuing the assault with a flurry of punches and kicks but the Saiyan not one to be outdone used his tail to knock her down and then put her on the defensive.
Diana then flipped around and sheathed her sword before uprooting s tree and throwing it towards the Saiyan.
"Yikes!" Goku squealed as he dodged quickly but as debris rained down from the impact Diana landed a blow from behind unbalancing the Saiyan.
"Got Ya!" Diana yelled triumphantly until Goku jumped over her next attack before landing on her head and slamming her head into the ground.
Diana shoved the Saiyan off and she glared at her opponent with rage filled eyes "You'll pay for that!"
"Ha! Your all dirty now!" Goku cackled with glee while pointing his finger teasingly enraging the princess further.
"Damn you!" Diana yelled as she charged forward again as Goku met the attack with is own and they continued their fight.
The battle remained a back and forth until a third figure joined the fight Artemis who quickly incapacitated Goku.
"What in Tautarus are you doing?" Artermis asked with a angered expression on her face "And why is there a man here?"
"He was an intruder." Diana replied.
Artemis looked at the boy and back at her "Seems he put up a fight your growing complacent princess."
"He was a strong opponent!" Diana replied defiantly.
"Commending a man's strength? Never thought I'd see the day."
Diana scowled "He packed a punch I'm serious!"
Artemis scoffed "That little welp I took out with one attack? And you think your ready to leave the island?"
Diana blushed in embarrassment to think she couldn't beat a man no a mere boy? She would have to train big time so that never happened again.
