Chapter 10: Pulling Out All The Stops

Goku watched Dodoria from above waiting for his opponents next move, he had control of the fight for the moment and he didn't want to give it up now.

Dodoria didn't stay in his crater long as he shot into the air furious that the fight was turning out so badly for him, he immediately let loose a flurry of small Ki blasts at Goku, who was able to easily dodge the weakened attacks. Just as he got within striking distance, powered back up to Kaioken times to and began to beat the now weakened Dodoria down.

At just twice his usual strength, Goku was more than capable of keeping his, one armed, weakened opponent on the defensive, the damage of his attacks that would manage to slip through the half-guard were beginning to add up as more and more painful purple welts built up on his bright pink skin.

Dodoria's two surviving men watched on, their fear building with each bone crushing blow the red, glowing warrior delivered, if this being could beat Dodoria they would be dead within seconds. Finally they looked at one another, to make sure they were on the same page, before launching forward to join the melee.

Before they made it far though, they were both knocked off their feet by sizable blasts, causing them to crash into the nearby cliff walls.

When they had extracted themselves, just a second later, they noticed the still panting forms of the other defenders of the planet. All of the survivors any way even the beaten bloodied forms of Piccolo, Tien, and Master Roshi stood there, barely with enough strength to stand. "Leave... my... husband alone!" Chi Chi shouted, a large aura surrounding her suddenly reinvigorated.

"You shouldn't've done that, you useless, weaklings!" The larger of the two surviving Planet trade elites shouted, his dark green body becoming nothing but a blur as he rushed back intending to kill the weaklings that dared get in his way, his squad mate right behind him.

Before anyone knew it they were upon them, Chi Chi was the first to be reached and was promptly sent through a nearby cliff with a powerful roundhouse kick to the stomach.

Goku saw this out of the corner of his eye, and turned to help his friends, giving Dodoria the moment he needed to fire a large blast into Goku's back, making him to crash to the Earth.

"Goku, we'll handle these guys, you take care of that pink bastard!" Yamcha shouted as he barely managed to block a vicious blow from the small, feline member of Dodoria's squad, before a lightning fast punch to the jaw sent the former bandit flying.

Goku hated to do it but his friends were right he had to stop Dodoria first then help his friends, 'Besides Piccolo's with them they'll be alright.' he reasoned before powering up to finish the fight with Dodoria, and put to end the threat he posed to the Earth, one way or another.

Dodoria was desperately trying to catch his pained breath, to little avail, the jagged edges of his broken ribs, had punctured one of his lungs, making each breath an act of extraordinary agony. 'At least I knocked that noble fool back for a moment, wait where did-' he thought to himself as Goku vanished from his sight, only to reappear in front of the him, his arm already crashing into the side of his face, in a vicious chop.

Goku didn't stop there though as he unleashed a barrage of powerful punches into the rotund fighter's torso.

The fight for the other defenders of Earth was not going quite as well as Goku's; Chi Chi had yet to emerge from the hole she had made on her initial entry of the canyon wall. Yamcha was just recovering from the blow to the face; King Chappa had already died from a blow that had gone clean through his chest. While Krillin, Yajirobe, Nam, Bora, Tien, Caspin, and Piccolo were doing everything they could to not join him in the afterlife.

Yamcha forced himself up, his body was wobbly and he could barely see straight, 'Damn that might've been the hardest hit I've ever taken, can't stop now though the world needs me.' he thought as he forced himself forward, charging a large blast in each hand, he knew he would only have one shot at this so he made sure to charge each as high as he possibly could.

After a few more seconds, he realized it was time to act, Master Roshi had each been knocked back into the cliff face, Tien in the opposite direction, both unconscious, and Sgt. Caspin was about to be killed, just as he was about to launch his attacks though, Piccolo's arm's stretched out and wrapped themselves around the feline warrior's neck. Telepathically Piccolo urged his student to fire, "What are you waiting for? Hurry I can't hold him for long, I can regrow my arms.'

Yamcha realized Piccolo was right, "Let's see how you like my Spirit-Fastball" He yelled as he launched each attack in unison, this was his ultimate finishing attack he had spent the last month or so developing, he hoped it would work.

Sgt. Caspin had rolled to his right and was in the process of escaping the expected blast zone; he didn't want to give Yamcha any reason to hold back.

Just as his attacks were posed to make contact with their target, the entire valley filled with a blinding light, Yamcha just had an instant to ponder why his attack was so much more powerful than he had expected before the force of the explosion caught him and everything went white.

Goku was in complete control of the battle, a few more blows and he knew Dodoria would be down for the count; that was until he noticed a power-level he had missed before, it was enormous. His head whipped around just in time to see a massive beam of energy cut right through the center of his friends, before exploding brightly.

"No!" His shout was drowned out by the roar of the shockwave; it was strong enough to easily toss him, along with Dodoria out of the sky completely.

Television sets all around the world instantly went to static as yet another one of Bulma's satellite camera's went down by a massive discharge of energy, this one large enough to shake the entire planet.

"What the hell is going on?" King Furry shouted in fright as the room began to buckle just a few moments after the camera failed.

"I'm not sure, but whatever it is, it's not good. That last blast took out another one of my camera's I'm already down to just 3 of them." Bulma responded as she hurriedly typed code into the camera control system, trying to get another camera into position.

"Why won't this just end." King furry whispered to himself, the longer the fight dragged on the slimmer their chances for survival seemed.

Goku pulled himself from the rubble his collision with a rock wall had caused to fall on top of him. It took him a moment for his still spinning brain to catch up with the images of complete devastation he was seeing. A trench a quarter of a mile long cut through the landscape, from his angle he couldn't see how deep it was but by the heat distortion of the air above it he was certain it was full of lava like the lakes he had seen on his way in.

A moment later he located the source of this new destruction, he didn't know what was more intimidating, the enormous energy signature of the beast, or the fact a giant fanged ape was walking towards him.

Before he had time to react the giant ape had already crossed the valley and reaching straight for him, or so he thought, the giant hand reached right over him and grabbed Dodoria's still shocked form.

The creature didn't say anything, as it just stared at Dodoria, a low growl vibrating what felt like the entire valley.

Finally the rumbling sound was interrupted by the sound of joyous, almost manic, laughter, as Vegeta forced himself up, his body still dripping blood from his previous fights. "So you did survive." he said between gasps as he tried to catch his breath.

Nappa let out a low rumbling sound, his other hand rubbing his jaw, before realizing Vegeta couldn't understand him and deciding to communicate telepathically to him instead. 'Damn Vegeta, Dodoria did a number on you, I can't believe I let him blind-side me like that, I think he broke my jaw, you know why he attack us yet?' The giant thought at his commanding officer.

Vegeta responded out loud, since he wanted Dodoria to hear him, "It seems Frieza decided we were no longer worth keeping around and decided to have us eliminated. Yes Dodoria is partially responsible for the damage I've received, but not entirely, apparently the earthlings had been stalling so the some sort of powerful machine warriors could arrive, they were the ones that sent us flying" Vegeta's voice was near a growl at the end, he hated being played as the fool.

'Huh, I didn't think there were machines out there strong enough to hurt us, damn it would've been fun tearing them up...' Nappa silently pouted at his Prince.

"It wasn't; their timing was annoying perfect and they could've easily killed you Nappa, but that's beside the point, it's time to get our revenge on Frieza's beloved enforcer." An evil smirk flashed across the Prince's face as he floated up and sat on Nappa's massive hairy shoulder. "Now then Dodoria before we begin I have some questions for you."

The Bloodied Pink blob that was now Dodoria could only make a gurgling noise as his shattered ribs stabbed into his lungs once more.

Vegeta, taking pleasure in his previous tormentors agony, allowed this to go on a moment more before ordering, "Nappa loosen your grip slightly so he can speak."

When Nappa had done so Vegeta continued, "Now then, you're following answers will directly determine whether you live or die, do you understand me." When their captive nodded, Vegeta continued, "First how did you find out about the wish so fast, we didn't even know until after we had arrived."

Dodoria was silent for a moment, before finally deciding he had a better chance of surviving if he played along, "I didn't know either until about 2 hours ago when Frieza called me and told me to get the source of the wish and bring it and you to him." He would play along but wouldn't give all his cards in the beginning.

"Yes but how did you get here in under 2 hours?" Vegeta was fairly sure he knew why, but he wanted to make sure.

"Frieza wanted me to clear this planet personally and bring you back to him." He responded his mind still spinning as he used his time wisely trying to find a way to survive this disaster.

"Yes but why? What was so important about this world that he was desperate to keep me away from it?" Vegeta pressed, he was tiring of Dodoria's half answers.

Dodoria stayed silent, it now appeared that the stupid monkeys hadn't thought of the plan Frieza had assumed they had, just as the long hair monkey had said. He didn't want put the idea in their heads, unnecessarily

But when Nappa began to tighten his grip again after a moment, causing another wave of blood to shoot from his mouth, he decided he had better try and survive this, before worrying about surviving Frieza's rage, "Wa-" he started to shout before more blood came forth, Nappa loosened his grip in the meantime, "I'll tell you… When the long haired… Saiyan… brought the boy to Frieza, Frieza was afraid you were going to mate with the inhabitants of this world instead of killing them, so he sent me to make sure the job got done." Dodoria said.

"The boy and the third class, are they still alive?" Vegeta immediately followed up.

"Yes, though when Frieza had finished extracting the information from them, they wished they weren't." Dodoria conveniently left out the fact that he was involved in the torture.

"Yes I'm sure they did… Alright Nappa have your fun." Vegeta said as sadistic smirk on his face as Dodoria began to scream, his torso giving way under Nappa's incredible strength. They were interrupted though before the Saiyan could finish Dodoria by a large Ki blast that shot forth exploding on Nappa's snout.

Nappa was so surprised by this he dropped his 'plaything', as his hands rushed to his scorched nose.

Vegeta's glare locked onto an angry Goku, "You monsters! Clearly he is evil, but no more so than you are, he deserves to pay for his crimes, but what you're doing to him is just cruel!" Goku shouted defiantly.

Vegeta had to fight the urge to laugh, 'Maybe the fool wasn't keeping me alive to find the location of his son, maybe he thought I would just tell him for saving me, he should've stayed silent, he'd have lived longer.'

Nappa had since recovered, and begun to chase after Goku, surprised by his rapidly varying speed; within his first two steps he had crushed the dying Dodoria beneath his massive feet.

Vegeta watched the game of cat and mouse for a few minutes, and was surprised to learn, he was starting to be able to 'feel' when the boy's father's energy spiked, it was an intriguing development and one that could become useful if he could learn to hone it.

Finally Goku zigged when he should've zagged, ending up in the hands of the giant beast. His yells echoing through the landscape as Nappa's incredible strength crushed down on his torso, before Nappa loosened his grip, not wanting to kill him just yet.

'Hey Vegeta, is this guy anyone special or can I kill him too?' Nappa asked as if he was a child who had just found a new toy, Vegeta couldn't help but muse to himself that the fearsome Saiyan General, one of the Saiyan race's best strategists, would devolve to nothing more than a destructive child whenever he had a weaker opponent at his mercy.

"Not yet Nappa, this is the boy's father." Vegeta responded knowing that would get a reaction from his comrade.

'So this is the low class scum that was raising the kid to be a weakling, huh, I'm going to enjoy squeezing the life out of him, tell him that for me Vegeta, I want him to know that before I kill him,' Nappa pleaded, now desperate to punish Raditz's brother, for what he saw as in his eyes plain and simple child-abuse.

"Fine I'll tell him, but don't kill him yet, I have something I want to ask him." Vegeta responded.

"My second-in-command would like you to know that he wants to kill you for being too weak to protect your son, and for being a failure as a father." Vegeta said quite bluntly as he watched for the third class's reaction. He instantly noted the sorrow that befell his face when at the comments, not defiance, just acceptance, a very un-Saiyan reaction to insults.

"Regardless though, we have something else to discuss besides your offensive nature, namely the power you showed during your fight against Dodoria, in fact you likely would've won had it not been for Nappa's interruption. So I will extend you this one time offer, serve me alongside Nappa, your idiot, coward of a brother, and your son, and together we can rule the universe, I'll even allow you to be the ruler of this pitiful backwater world if you'd like." Vegeta said making the best offer he felt the Saiyan deserved, although he was a low class and a traitor, his battle against Dodoria proved he was the strongest of their race at the moment, and so would be immensely useful, even without his tail.

Goku was slightly taken aback by this offer; he had already told his brother that he had no interest joining them. This offer would've been harder to turn down though if he hadn't just watched his current captive kill nearly all of the people he cared about. No he would never work with monsters like these.

"I would never work for monsters like you!" Goku shouted his voice filled with defiance.

"Should've taken my offer, Kakarot, you could've learned to be a true Saiyan, like your son will." Vegeta responded before nodding to Nappa to begin, Goku immediately yelled out as he pressure on his torso began to increase, within a few seconds he had to use Kaioken times three to keep his body from being completely crushed.

Goku's screams continued for what seemed like an eternity before the pressure had grown so much that not even Kaioken times 3 could stop it, and when he tried to go times 4 his body completely gave out, within seconds his bones began to snap, the last of the air in his lungs was pushed out and the edges of his vision began to go dark, as his body ran out of the small amount of oxygen still in his blood.

Just as the darkness was about to swallow him whole, he heard a distant voice ring out, "Destructo Disk!"

A fraction of a second later he heard the voice of Vegeta shout "Nappa look out!" Follow by a pained roar, suddenly the pressure was gone, and Goku felt a falling sensation. By the time he had gasped in enough air to realize he was actually falling, he felt the ground, his entire body exploded in pain as each of his now shattered bones screamed out in agony from meeting the ground. Over the next few seconds the pain blocked out all else, unsure if he was dying again or not.

Finally after he lay there for a minute, the pain subsided enough that he could focus on his surroundings some, his field of view limited to the region back around the crater Nappa had formed, but using his hearing and his Ki sense he could feel what was happening behind him.

Krillin was somewhere, fighting for his life, against the two Saiyans, somehow the second Saiyan's power had dropped to a mere fraction of its previous self, but both were still stronger the Krillin, he knew his friend would die without help and fast.

Goku put all the strength he could muster into trying to move, but his body was too broken, he couldn't move a single muscle. He heard Krillin cry out in pain, desperation flooded his system again, looking over he noticed something, at first it appeared to be just a ravaged body, but then he felt it, it was weak, but whoever they were they were still alive, his eyes were still having trouble focusing but after a minute he realized who it was. Focusing telepathically at his friend he mentally yelled, 'Tien! Tien please wake up! Krillin is going to die without your help! I can't move, please wake up!'

Finally Tien rolled over, a dazed look on his face as he looked around, trying to get his bearings.

'Tien over here, quick' Goku yelled in his mind, finally Tien looked his way, and shakily made his way over towards Goku's shattered body.

"Goku? what happened? Tien asked quietly as he crawled towards his friend, 'Krillin is somewhere in the valley fighting both Saiyans, hurry take my hand fast I have a plan.' Tien did as he was told, as Goku powered up to his Kaioken times 2, channeling some of his strength to Tien.

All of the exhaustion and pain vanished from Tien's once weary body, as a flood of energy rushed into through him. "Goku, this is incredible, I don't know if I can take much more." Goku cut off his channel a second later, 'Now quick Tien you've got to stop them.'

"I won't let you down Goku." Tien responded before shooting off towards the slowly dying sound of combat in the distance.

'It's not going to be enough; I hope he can hold out long enough that I can find someone else to help.' Goku thought to himself as he began scanning the area for any other faint Ki signatures.

It only took Tien a faction of a second to find the trio, but by then he was already too late, just as they came into view, Krillin collapsed to the ground, his neck clearly broken, Nappa's arm still moving along the motion his killing blow.

Tien didn't slow down at all, he was too angry to even yell, he had already lost his best friend Chiaotzu permanently, but now one of his other closest friends was taken from his as well, they were going to pay.

Vegeta's new found sense of Ki, alerted him to an incoming threat at the last second, but before he could react to it. Tien's shin was already indenting his cheek.

After sending Vegeta flying with his initial kick, he let loose a flurry of blasts into the just reacting Nappa's stomach, causing a massive explosion, launching the giant back.

Tien decided he would take revenge on Nappa first and launched after him. Before he caught up with Nappa's receding figure though, he was blindsided by a two legged kick by Vegeta who had already recovered from his opening attack. Tien hit the ground hard and went sliding through the rocky ground, coming to rest nearly 50 feet from where he first hit the ground.

The ex-crane student didn't stay down long though, he was able to feel a blast heading his way and launched himself upwards, narrowly avoiding the potentially lethal ball of energy, but before he could go back on the offensive Nappa phased behind him and wrapped him into a full nelson.

Struggle as he might, even with the strength Goku had given him he couldn't break the Saiyan's grip. Within seconds Vegeta appeared in front of him also and began a rhythmic pattern of delivering powerful blows to his stomach.

Goku had just located Yamcha's unconscious form on the other side of the newest magma lake; unfortunately he was having no luck rousing the former-bandit. 'Yamcha! Please wake up, Tien can't win on his own!' Goku's desperate calls fell on deaf ears though.

Goku was getting more worried by the second as Tien's energy signature continued to drop, that was when he noticed movement in the partially collapse wall of the canyon. After a large rock was pushed off, the bloodied form of Chi Chi appeared, as she staggered from the wall.

'Chi Chi!' Goku shouted into her mind.

"Goku? Where are you?" Chi Chi hollered back her head swinging side to side trying to locate her husband.

'Use your Ki sense, I can't move, grab Yamcha if you can and come here, hurry they already killed Krillin and Tien isn't going to last much longer if we don't help.' He responded as she started to do as he asked, she stopped to pick Yamcha, up then made one more stop one her way to Goku.

Tien didn't know how much more of this he could take, the with every blow he took, more and more of the energy Goku had given him slipped from his grasp, he wasn't sure he could take even one of the Saiyans now, even if he could break the giant's grasp.

Suddenly his three eyes widened slightly as two flashed shoot across the battlefield each delivering a devastating blow to one of the Saiyans, sending them flying. Tien dropped to the ground, his arm one arm protectively wrapping around his stomach as he watched Chi Chi and Yamcha keep after the Saiyans.

After sensing the relative strengths of everyone present, he gathered up all the strength he had left and rushed to help Chi Chi as she took on the brute that had been holding him, hoping Yamcha could hold his own against the other Saiyan long enough that they could win, once and for all.

Even crossed half the distance between them, Nappa had already recovered and had forced Chi Chi completely onto the defensive. When Tien did finally catch them he had slowed to the point where even as Nappa was attacking Chi Chi the giant could still block all of his attacks with just one arm, despite the duos best efforts.

In the meantime Master Roshi stood behind Goku, holding his hands straight up into the air Goku's face locked in a look of utmost concentration, he just needed a few minutes and they would be home free.

Yamcha was faring slightly better than the others his body could hold almost as much Ki as Tien's could and Vegeta had taken a much worse beating already, unfortunately not enough to give the ex-bandit a clear advantage.

Yamcha ducked a haymaker from Vegeta and launched forward tackling the Saiyan Prince to the ground as he began to rain blow after blow to the surprised Saiyan's face.

After the third strike Vegeta managed to get an arm free out from under the ex-bandit's leg, and fired a point blank blast to his chest. Vegeta forced himself up in a backflip just as his attacker was launched backwards, as soon as he planted a foot he launched after him.

Yamcha got control of himself just as Vegeta arrived, barely being able to raise his forearm in time to block the first blow. He immediately was forced to raise his other arm to catch a second jab, and his knee a kick. Blow after blow followed keeping the bandit on the defensive for several seconds as Vegeta's left eye began to swell shut.

Finally Yamcha was able to dodge far enough to the left that Vegeta lost sight of him, that second was all Yamcha needed as he brought a quick, chop to the side of Vegeta's face, knocking the Saiyan Prince off balance. Yamcha quickly began his favorite technique, unleashing a perfectly timed series of jabs, most of which made it through the staggering Saiyan's defenses.

Finally he finished his carefully choreographed attack with a powerful double handed jab, sending the Saiyan flying back.

Knowing he needed to finish the fight and help the others Yamcha dropped the stance of his school's ultimate attack, "Kamehameha!" he yelled quickly, pumping as much energy into his rushed attack as he could.

Vegeta had partially righted himself and was currently sliding back on all fours trying to slow himself down, the blast came too quick for him to dodge though, he could only raise his hands in front of his body as the blast collided, resulting in yet another massive explosion.

The blast accelerated Vegeta back faster, his arms still locked in front of him, until his back collided with a nearby hill, embedding the Saiyan Prince into the face of the hill, although he was standing anyone who looked closely could tell he was unconscious where he stood, his legs giving out a second later, as he collapsed to the ground.

'That wasn't so hard; I can't believe how much energy Goku gave me.' Yamcha thought as he admired himself for a moment, "Now where are the others?" Yamcha thought out loud as his eyes locked onto the others, his body already in motion.

Nappa heard the explosion and made the mistake of looking over to Vegeta for just a second, allowing Tien to get a free shot at his face, unfortunately Tien had used so much of the energy Goku had given him that his blow could barely even turn the Saiyan's head, Nappa's response was short and simple, a powerful punch to Tien's stomach was all it took to knock the weakened fighter out.

Chi Chi let loose a spinning kick to Nappa's stomach, but the giant was fast enough to catch the kick in his hand, before promptly throwing Chi Chi into Tien's still falling limp form.

Yamcha rushed in and let loose a flurry of jabs, unfortunately he had used up so much of his lent energy on his Kamehameha attack, his attacks didn't even faze the giant, he simply backhanded the bandit into a nearby boulder, where he lay slumped over.

'These Earthlings actually gave it a good go, just not good enough, damn I wish I could at least have some fun taunting them before I kill them... Oh well I guess I should get it over with.' Before he could finish charging his attack he noticed the old-man standing at the top of the hill, a determined look on his face. 'Oh you want to try your luck too old man? Well come on' Nappa thought as he gestured towards himself, confident in his ability to take whatever the man as strong as a Saibamen could deal out.

Suddenly the man rushed him, Nappa could only smirk at how slow Master Roshi ran, when he closed half the distance the old man's hand suddenly shot forth, "Here's a gift from all the Earth, Spirit Bomb!" A bright ball of blue sparkling energy shot forth hitting Nappa in the chest before he could even react. It burnt him, worse than any of the thousands of blasts he had taken over his 40 plus years of combat, his entire body felt as if it was on fire as he shot backwards, before Master Roshi used his control of the blast to throw them both into the air, so the explosion wouldn't further injured his downed students.

The explosion filled the sky, Nappa body fell to the ground with a thud a moment later, and lay still.

The Turtle hermit stood there for a minute before collapsing to the ground himself, he had been using some of the energy in the blast to keep his exhausted body moving, now he felt as if he was made of solid lead.

Wind crossed the valley, stirring up small clouds of dust, not a single being moved, no one had the strength too.

After a few more minutes of silence, a mad laugh began to echo throughout the valley, none of the semi-conscious fighters could locate its source, until Mercenary Tao suddenly jumped his built in knife already extended. "Look at this, is this my lucky day. Not only do I get to be the savior of the world, but every person on the planet capable of being a threat to me are all helpless on the ground, HA!"

The high pitched, manic laughter assaulted the Saiyan Prince's sensitive ears, breaking through the wall of darkness that had enveloped him. His eyes shot open as his rage began to build, the Earthlings were laughing at him.

Chi Chi finally stood her body ached all over, the last of the strength Goku had lent her had vanished when she collided with Tien, but she was the only one left who could still stand. "Take the Saiyans if you want, but let me find out where my son is first." She demanded, even though she was in no condition to stand, let alone fight if she had to try and force the man to give her, the minute she needed.

"Sorry but your son is no concern of mine, now then get out of my way, I have revenge to exact on Son Goku, and some aliens to kill" The professional killer responded coldly as he took a step towards Goku's prone body.

"Enough!" A haggard voice rang out, "My body has been broken, my tail stolen from me, and my hopes dashed repeatedly on this dirty ball of mud, but I refuse to give this hell hole the only thing I have left, my pride! You fools think I am something to laugh at, no I refuse to take these insults any more, EVERYONE DIE!" Vegeta screamed, insanity filling his voice as he pulled every ounce of strength he had left into one final blast. Since his left eye had completely swollen shut and his right was being blinded by still flowing blood from a cut on his head. He was forced to use his newfound ability to detect Ki, and threw his attack at the highest power level left in the area, which unfortunately for Mercenary Tao, meant him.

Unfortunately for the Saiyan Prince when the blast connected, instead of the planet shaking blast like he thought he threw, the blast did little more than vaporize the world's most feared Mercenary.

Vegeta fell to the ground, he was done, he wasn't going to deal with this anymore, and he pulled out his pod control, which had miraculously survived the insanity he had been forced to deal with the last few hours, and sent the command for both pods to head to his location. When the order was sent he fell back to his back, completely drained.

Chi Chi just looked over, now was her chance she started to limp her way over to Vegeta, she would find out where her son was one way or another.

Before she had made it half way there, the pods had arrived and Vegeta had started to crawl towards Nappa, intending to load his second in command into his pod first.

On her way towards Vegeta she picked up a small jagged rock, it would be useful in extracting her son's location from the Saiyan. Just as he reached him though, a voice rang out, "Chi don't!"

Vegeta turned and looked up seeing the outline of someone standing over him. 'No this can't be the way I go, I've gone through too much to die here.' he thought frantically.

"He stole our son Goku, he's either going to tell me where he is or I'm going to kill him and ask his friend!" She shouted back, hatred in her voice.

"Chi Chi you can't kill someone in cold blood, please." Goku tried to reason.

She actually hesitated for a moment, giving Vegeta the time he needed to pull Nappa onto the emergency loading system, and roll over to his own ship.

Just as he was about to enter his ship though something caught his eye, a still intact scouter on the ground right next to his ship, just as he reached out to grab it, he heard the boy's mother again.

"He's not leaving here Goku!" She screamed as her arm began to swing.

"What would Gohan think?" Goku shouted, causing Chi Chi to freeze. "Let him go Chi Chi, maybe he'll learn the value of mercy and bring Gohan back to us."

Vegeta had used the second he had been afforded, to snatch the scouter and finish loading himself into the pod as the door closed he sent one final taunt towards the warriors of Earth. "Oh, I'll bring your son back here alright, after I have my wish, after your son has the blood of many worlds on his hands, on that day he will help me exterminate this-" the door shut cutting off the rest of his rant as the two pods shot into the air, automatically putting the beaten occupants into emergency stasis.

Chi Chi dropped to the ground, conflicted whether she had made the right choice listening to her husband. "You better be right Goku." she whispered as she watched the ships fade into the distance.

The fight against the Saiyan's is offcially in the books. I hope everyone enjoyed it, if there are parts you think I could've improved upon for next time, or if you thought the fight was too long, or too short, let me know in a review. If you loved the fight, I'd love to hear that too!

I'm actually pretty proud of myself for finishing this chapter as fast as I did, and actually keeping my self imposed deadline. Unfortunately the same reason why I'm so surprised I managed to get this chapter done on time is the same reason I can't post another till probably early June, namely lots of homework, and finals.

Lightningblade49: Yeah due to how the story went I felt like it was likely a lot of the Z fighters would die under this new scenario, hence the large number of deaths the last two chapters. There are still more survivors than there were in the actual show though.

Simgr101: Yes he did save the day kind of, mostly his waking up gave him and Vegeta a chance to escape more than anything, so from Vegeta's point of view he did save the day.

super mystic gohan: None of the blue force except for Sgt. Java, who ended up being trained by the Crane school, were evil to begin with, this coupled with the fact that they died as heros fighting to protect their planets mean they will get to keep their bodies. But since they are all about as strong as Goku was against Raditz, it'll take them awhile to reach King Kai's.

Your right Vegeta's defeat of Gero's androids will place a target on his back as well, it will change the android saga quite a bit.

Tien is one of the most under used Z fighters in my opinion, i always felt he should've been able to at least stay closer to Goku in strength and act as a true rival.

And finally it will be an interesting group going to Namek, that's all I can say until next chapter.
